Enterprise
A public-private partnership between Department of
Trade and Industry (DTI) and Philippines Center for
Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo (PCE-GN) that sets out
to produce confident entrepreneurs with the right
mindset and business knowhow which will enable
them to sustain and scale up their enterprises.
Objectives:
To help the micro and small enterprises develop a
good business sense by capacitating them through the
fundamentals of entrepreneurship; and
To assist the MSEs in scaling up and sustaining their
operations by equipping them with the needed skill sets
in the course of theoretical and conceptual discussions
and lectures as well as mentoring and coaching
sessions.

Eligible CDPs are rural banks, COOPERATIVES or market
vendor associations — help the P3 program by
processing loan applications from MSMEs. They will act

LSP-NSB is a program of DTI that allows a wider reach of
business development assistance by bringing government
services closer to the people through partnership between
relevant LGUs and DTI.
LSB-PBG aims to support families/individuals with businesses
affected by fire incidents and other calamities through the
provision of entrepreneurship training with livelihood kits or
packages.

•SSF PROJECT aims to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs
by providing them with machinery, equipment, tools, systems,
accessories and other auxiliary items, skills and knowledge
under a shared system.
•It is managed by a SSF Cooperator which can be any juridical
entity such as but not limited to non-government organizations
(NGOs), people’s organizations, COOPERATIVES,
industry/trade/business associations, local government units
(LGUs), National Government Agencies, State Universities and
Colleges, technical vocational schools and other similar
government academic and training institutions

By virtue of RA 6657 also known as Comprehensive Agrarian
Reform Law, the program has been implemented by the Dept.
of Agrarian Reform as the lead agency as well as the other
eight government institutions namely, DA, DENR, DPWH,
DOLE, NIA, LBP, LRA and DTI. Whereas DTI’s participation
was formalized through the creation of the Small and Medium
Industrial Technology Transfer Development Program (SMITTDP) in
July 1989 with a mission to:
“promote and develop micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in
the countryside by developing strong and viable MSMEs in the ARCs
producing globally competitive products and services, thus improving the
quality of life of the agrarian reform beneficiaries”
As of December 2020, the following are the accomplishments:
- 107-ARCs Assisted with 143-
ARBO/MSMEs/COOPERATIVES and 9,698ARBs
- 40 Shared Service Facilities benefitted 29 ARBO/MSMEs
- 23 FDA-LTO and 1 CPR
- 11 Brand Names Registered in the IPO

CONSUMER ADVOCACY PROGRAM
WHAT IS A CONSUMER ORGANIZATION
An organized group of consumers where membership is voluntary and
whose primary objective is to protect consumers against deceptive,
unfair and unconscionable trade acts and practices and other acts or
omissions prejudicial or detrimental to the interests of consumers
CONSUMER ORGANIZATIONS are being accredited to ensure that the
consumer sector is represented by legitimate consumer organizations
in hearings and/or investigations, and in government policy-making
bodies.
*Out of the 11 accredited consumer organizations in Region 1, Nine
(9) are COOPERATIVES.*

By virtue of RA 6657 also known as Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law, the program has been implemented by the Dept. of Agrarian Reform as the lead agency as well as the other eight government institutions namely, DA, DENR, DPWH, DOLE, NIA, LBP, LRA and DTI. Whereas DTI’s participation was formalized through the creation of the Small and Medium Industrial Technology Transfer Development Program (SMITTDP) in July 1989 with a mission to: “promote and develop micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the countryside by developing strong and viable MSMEs in the ARCs producing globally competitive products and services, thus improving the quality of life of the agrarian reform beneficiaries”

  1. And lastly, the Models of Negosyo can help new entrepreneurs readily start a business or help existing firms improve the conduct of their business toward greater efficiency and productivity. There are many ways to do a business. The DTI through its Negosyo Centers gives clients different business ideas to help them pursue entrepreneurship. Trainings, and seminars offered by Negosyo Center coves livelihood skills such as baking, soap- making, etc., MSMEs also need to have ties with bigger industries to create synergies, which are essential in matching and innovating products and services.
