and D-SOBATT)
Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is a low-cost solar cell
and it’s a friend of the environment . It’s actually
depends on the dye you will use unlike the solar cell
which is cheap less and made of silicone . Therefore, we
are going to use this type of cells in our product which is
called “D-SOBATT.” It is a useful product that can be used
every where to charge and store energy.
Aim :
1-To know what are the factors which affect the rate of
photosynthesis process.

Aim: to know how can we use different types of dyes to create a dye-
sensitized solar cell and to measure the output voltage and current of this dye
sensitized solar cell .

Design Product
Our first part of the product is to improve DSSC work more than that
in the paper. They used the Henna in the form of finely cut leaves but
we used as powder. Through this methodology, we got silver nano-
particles which can be used in Henna mixture as dyes for the DSSC.
We are thinking about several experiments, as to use Silver Nitrates in
different concentrations and Henna also in different concentrations.
Will our dye that contains silver Nan particles and Henna give a
good voltage? And will D-SOBATT solve the problem of the
energy supply ?
1- To know how will the “Henna” will give a good voltage.
2- To apply and design a helpful product by using DCCS.
3- To create a product with safe electricity in our life to achieve
version 2030.

• We used Henna to form silver Nano-particles by
reduction. Then it is used as a dye in DSSC with
reference to a research paper in 2013. The results
we gained were improved DSSC volt output to be
110mV instead of 44mV.
• We used silver nitrate solution 1 mM Henna boiled
in 100ml and filtered by Whatman filter which
needed to be left untill the next day. Then we took
the henna filtrate and mixed with 50ml of silver
nitrate.
• In our project we modified what was in a
previous research(1) that where we had
got high value of voltage compared to
that research’s voltage by using Henna.
Which they got (44mV) and we did two
DSSC and one gave us (83mV) and the
other one gave us (110mV).
• This result can be explained by using
Henna as a powder not complete leaves
as that research used.,
• Our control one which actually gives (
150mV) with the blackberry.

The main idea of our product is to design a small environmental-
friendly battery which is based on Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells that
will generate high value of voltage which then can be used to
charge different items such as Battery and not allocated on one
type , which mean will help all the people to continue the work
more easier as we know that a lot of work nowadays depends on
these devices and that’s why we are encouraged to make this
device and improve it’s structure that we learnt from the last
Activity with Albairq Team .
1- Our product (D-SOBATT) will help us to use
free clean energy which is solar energy .
2- Store the solar energy in the cells then
make it available in the far away places as
campaigns or when you need it
any time.
3- D-SOBATT will be safety to use .
4- Will act better than solar cell (silicon cell) .
•We will use Graphite
as a cathode & TiO2 as
an anode.
•Electrolyte : KI
•Dye : Henna and silver

Its actually will use as a charger for a
battery when any thing turn off .
Thus, this product can help you even
thought its need to work more on it
to make the product more
professional . As a result we need at
least 15 DCCS that have 0.1 V to
charge a battery with 1.5V .
Most of the stories have ends but our story or experience doesn’t has an
end it will be continual and permanent . From this participation we
learned how to think probably with a wide mind how will things will
come at the end . We gave rustles and showed many conclusion which
really help us to improve our self in a short time and from all of this we
created this product which means a lot for us . Moreover, we stayed like
2-3 days just thinking about an idea for a perfect product and we won’t lie
we changed our idea many times and that’s really disappointed us a lot
but we are here with this idea and we have a lot of hope in it .
1- In the project idea , while we used Henna we
recommend that it must be a strong one to give more
voltages .
2- The structure of the product need a little to be more
realistic and more practical .
3- We hope that our product will be safe to the
environment.
4- This is the most one we really hope that’s this product
in the future can charge not just a buttery as we did but
also the devices like mobile phone .
D-SOBATT will help everyone and will save the earth
and that’s if people will be cooperate in the future.
We have a lot of hope in our product and that will improve more
and help us during our lifestyle .Moreover ,from this participation
we learned a lot of new and precious information that we have to
improve and work on them . It was like a big prize for us during
our adolescence time .To sum up, we believes that our participate
at this competition will means a lot of things for all of us .

  • 3. Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is a low-cost solar cell and it’s a friend of the environment . It’s actually depends on the dye you will use unlike the solar cell which is cheap less and made of silicone . Therefore, we are going to use this type of cells in our product which is called “D-SOBATT.” It is a useful product that can be used every where to charge and store energy.

  • 6. Activity 2 : Chromatography(Varying colours in leaves ) Aim : The aim of the experiment is to separate the various photosynthesis pigments from plants leaves. Chromatography Solvent : 90% petroleum ether + 10% Acetone.

  • 10. Activity 4: Preparing A Dye Sensitized Solar Cell Aim: to know how can we use different types of dyes to create a dye- sensitized solar cell and to measure the output voltage and current of this dye sensitized solar cell .
  • 11. Activity 4: Preparing A Dye Sensitized Solar Cell Conclusion : The dye sensitized solar cell act like artificial photosynthesis which the dye absorb the light and by using electrolyte and cathode we can produce an electrical current. Also, it can give volt even in shade

  • 15. Design Product Our first part of the product is to improve DSSC work more than that in the paper. They used the Henna in the form of finely cut leaves but we used as powder. Through this methodology, we got silver nano- particles which can be used in Henna mixture as dyes for the DSSC. We are thinking about several experiments, as to use Silver Nitrates in different concentrations and Henna also in different concentrations.

And will D-SOBATT solve the problem of the energy supply ? 1- To know how will the “Henna” will give a good voltage. 2- To apply and design a helpful product by using DCCS. 3- To create a product with safe electricity in our life to achieve version 2030.

  • 18. • We used Henna to form silver Nano-particles by reduction. Then it is used as a dye in DSSC with reference to a research paper in 2013. The results we gained were improved DSSC volt output to be 110mV instead of 44mV. • We used silver nitrate solution 1 mM Henna boiled in 100ml and filtered by Whatman filter which needed to be left untill the next day. Then we took the henna filtrate and mixed with 50ml of silver nitrate.
  • 19. • In our project we modified what was in a previous research(1) that where we had got high value of voltage compared to that research’s voltage by using Henna. Which they got (44mV) and we did two DSSC and one gave us (83mV) and the other one gave us (110mV). • This result can be explained by using Henna as a powder not complete leaves as that research used., • Our control one which actually gives ( 150mV) with the blackberry. The main idea of our product is to design a small environmental- friendly battery which is based on Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells that will generate high value of voltage which then can be used to charge different items such as Battery and not allocated on one type , which mean will help all the people to continue the work more easier as we know that a lot of work nowadays depends on these devices and that’s why we are encouraged to make this device and improve it’s structure that we learnt from the last Activity with Albairq Team .
  • 21. 1- Our product (D-SOBATT) will help us to use free clean energy which is solar energy . 2- Store the solar energy in the cells then make it available in the far away places as campaigns or when you need it any time. 3- D-SOBATT will be safety to use . 4- Will act better than solar cell (silicon cell) .
  • 22. •We will use Graphite as a cathode & TiO2 as an anode. •Electrolyte : KI •Dye : Henna and silver Nitrates Its actually will use as a charger for a battery when any thing turn off . Thus, this product can help you even thought its need to work more on it to make the product more professional . As a result we need at least 15 DCCS that have 0.1 V to charge a battery with 1.5V .
  • 23. Most of the stories have ends but our story or experience doesn’t has an end it will be continual and permanent . From this participation we learned how to think probably with a wide mind how will things will come at the end . We gave rustles and showed many conclusion which really help us to improve our self in a short time and from all of this we created this product which means a lot for us . Moreover, we stayed like 2-3 days just thinking about an idea for a perfect product and we won’t lie we changed our idea many times and that’s really disappointed us a lot but we are here with this idea and we have a lot of hope in it .
  • 24. 1- In the project idea , while we used Henna we recommend that it must be a strong one to give more voltages . 2- The structure of the product need a little to be more realistic and more practical . 3- We hope that our product will be safe to the environment. 4- This is the most one we really hope that’s this product in the future can charge not just a buttery as we did but also the devices like mobile phone .
  • 25. D-SOBATT will help everyone and will save the earth and that’s if people will be cooperate in the future.

We have a lot of hope in our product and that will improve more and help us during our lifestyle .Moreover ,from this participation we learned a lot of new and precious information that we have to improve and work on them . It was like a big prize for us during our adolescence time .To sum up, we believes that our participate at this competition will means a lot of things for all of us .
