Factors Putting You At Risk..!
This type of diabetes
seems to be the most common type
of diabetes. Previously, it was called
"Adult Onset Diabetes".
Those people who develop type 2
diabetes usually have insulin resistance
and approximately 80% of them are
overweight.
Formerly called
"juvenile diabetes" because 70% of
diagnoses occur in children or before
reaching the age of 30.
It affects only 5% of diabetic.
The onset of type 1 diabetes is
usually sudden (acute) and
clear-cut.
This type of diabetes develops
during pregnancy (gestation) and is
caused by increased production of
hormones that make the body less
able to use insulin as well as it
should. Most gestational
diabetes goes away after Birth
but, it does put you at higher
risk of developing type 2
diabetes later.
The food we eat like bread, cereals, fruit, starchy vegetables and dairy items are converted to glucose
that used to supply energy for life processes and this occurs with help of insulin. As a key to a door
insulin allows to sugar enter the cell from the bloodstream where it is used to produce
energy. If no insulin production, or not enough, the sugar
levels rise in the blood and diabetes occurs.
