 Patience is the ability to endure a long wait calmly or deal
with annoying problems without frustration. 
 You can be patient, because patient is an adjective; You
can have patience, because patience is a noun

"Isy ma syi'ta fainnaka Mayyitun, Wahbib ma
syi'ta fainnaka Mufarroquhu, Wa'mal ma syi'ta
fainnaka Majziyun bihi“
(hiduplah sesuka hatimu tetapi (ingat) engkau
pasti akan mati.Cintailah siapa pun yang ingin
engkau cintai,tetapi (ingat) engkau pasti akan
berpisah darinya.Berbuatlah sesuka hatimu
tetapi (ingat) engkau pasti akan mendapatkan
balasannya)
NEXT
 Sabar merupakan perintah Allah SWT. Hal ini sebagaimana yang
terdapat dalam QS.2 : 153: "Hai orang-orang yang beriman,
mintalah pertolongan kepada Allah dengan sabar dan shalat,
sesungguhnya Allah beserta orang-orang yang sabar."
 Ayat-ayat lainnya yang serupa mengenai perintah untuk
bersabar sangat banyak terdapat dalam Al-Qur'an. Diantaranya
adalah dalam QS.3 : 200 , 16 : 127 , 8 : 46 , 10 :109 , 11 : 115 dsb.
SIGNS OF IMPATIENCE
How do you know when you're being
impatient? You will probably experience one of
more of the following symptoms:
 Shallow breathing (short breaths).
 Muscle tension.
 Hand clenching/tightening.
 Jiggling/restless feet.
 Irritability/anger.
 Anxiety/nervousness.
 Rushing.
 Snap/quick decisions.
HOW TO BE PATIENT
STAYING CALM UNDER PRESSURE
1. First thing: Just stop. Catch the mind ranting that you shouldn't be in
this situation—because you are. Give up the fight. You've lost the battle,
but not the war.
2. Settle into the moment. You might feel your body ease down, yielding
to gravity (wise move). Your shoulders and belly relax, your jaw too.
3. Go into your body with your mind's eye and find out how you know
you're impatient. Are you tight, tense, breathing shallowly, clenching,
jiggling? Where exactly? Focus on those sensations as closely as you
can. Touch them with your mind.
4. See if you can open any tightness, breathe into any clenching. With a
really ornery knot, give up trying to fix it and see if you can welcome it,
make room for it.

Developing patience because patience is a skill

SHOULD YOU “BE PATIENT” OR “HAVE PATIENCE”?  Patience is the ability to endure a long wait calmly or deal with annoying problems without frustration.   You can be patient, because patient is an adjective; You can have patience, because patience is a noun “He that can have patience can have what he will.”   Benjamin Franklin

SABAR DALAM ISLAM "Isy ma syi'ta fainnaka Mayyitun, Wahbib ma syi'ta fainnaka Mufarroquhu, Wa'mal ma syi'ta fainnaka Majziyun bihi“ (hiduplah sesuka hatimu tetapi (ingat) engkau pasti akan mati.Cintailah siapa pun yang ingin engkau cintai,tetapi (ingat) engkau pasti akan berpisah darinya.Berbuatlah sesuka hatimu tetapi (ingat) engkau pasti akan mendapatkan balasannya)
  • 4. NEXT  Sabar merupakan perintah Allah SWT. Hal ini sebagaimana yang terdapat dalam QS.2 : 153: "Hai orang-orang yang beriman, mintalah pertolongan kepada Allah dengan sabar dan shalat, sesungguhnya Allah beserta orang-orang yang sabar."  Ayat-ayat lainnya yang serupa mengenai perintah untuk bersabar sangat banyak terdapat dalam Al-Qur'an. Diantaranya adalah dalam QS.3 : 200 , 16 : 127 , 8 : 46 , 10 :109 , 11 : 115 dsb.
  • 5. SIGNS OF IMPATIENCE How do you know when you're being impatient? You will probably experience one of more of the following symptoms:  Shallow breathing (short breaths).  Muscle tension.  Hand clenching/tightening.  Jiggling/restless feet.  Irritability/anger.  Anxiety/nervousness.  Rushing.  Snap/quick decisions.
  • 6. HOW TO BE PATIENT STAYING CALM UNDER PRESSURE 1. First thing: Just stop. Catch the mind ranting that you shouldn't be in this situation—because you are. Give up the fight. You've lost the battle, but not the war. 2. Settle into the moment. You might feel your body ease down, yielding to gravity (wise move). Your shoulders and belly relax, your jaw too. 3. Go into your body with your mind's eye and find out how you know you're impatient. Are you tight, tense, breathing shallowly, clenching, jiggling? Where exactly? Focus on those sensations as closely as you can. Touch them with your mind. 4. See if you can open any tightness, breathe into any clenching. With a really ornery knot, give up trying to fix it and see if you can welcome it, make room for it.

Patience is to be calm no matter what happens, constantly take action to turn it to positive growth opportunities, and have faith to believe that it will all work out in the end while you are waiting.”  Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
