Journey towards the
beautiful world of
patience.
“The test of good manners is
to be patient with bad
ones”.
Solomon Ibn Gabirol
The quality of being patient, as the bearing
of annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without
complaint, loss of temper and irritation.
The capacity to accept or tolerate delay,
trouble or suffering without getting angry
or upset.
Irritated.
Ignored
Tensed.
Nervous.
Burned out.
Frustrated.
Misdirected.
Forgotten.
A patient man is better than a
warrior, and he who rules his
temper, than he who takes a city.
(Proverbs 16:32)
The color of
patience is
Blue and white.
The Book of Proverbs notes that “ through
patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle
tongue can break a bone”.
The Bible states that “Jesus might display his
unlimited patience as an example for those
who would believe on him and receive eternal
life”.
“And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear,
hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad

tidings to as-Saabireen (the patient ones).
 Who,
when afflicted with calamity, say: “Inna lillaahi wa Inna
Ilaihi Raaji’un (Verily to Allah we belong and verily, to
Him we shall return).”
They are those on whom are the
Salawaat (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from
their Lord, and (they are
 those who) receive His Mercy,
and it is they who are the guided-ones.” (2:155-157)
We SHOULD NOT
consider our past troubles and pains.
We SHOULD NOT think
that because people
disagree, they are
unreasonable.
We SHOULD NOT think that we are
always right.
We should not think that we
are the sufferers.
We should not make our
ambition and wants our
frustration.
We should realize that
everyone has bad time.
We should
realize that
expecting too
much can be
harmful.
We should accept the fact
that everyone possess
opinions.
We should realize that we cannot
control people as we do in case of
robots.
We should
understand that giving
pain to others in fact
add to ours as well.
O Allah, make us from those who have
patience upon hardships and those
who are thankful upon Your blessings.

Patience
