This document provides feedback from a teacher to a student, Liam White, on their pre-production tasks for a music video project. The teacher provides comments on each of the 14 required pre-production elements, noting what was included and improvements that could be made. Several elements were initially missing but the student uploaded additional documents addressing the teacher's feedback. The teacher praises the student's use of technology but suggests the storyboards could be improved. The final mark awarded was 14 out of 20.

Teachers comments
1. Excellent analysis of Oracle by Croox. You have applied Goodwin and
Mulvey’s theories well and used proficient technical language throughout.
2. Genre research has been completed using word. Some elements of the
history of the genre have been included, although more detail could be
added such as awards, styles, key artists. Good detailed analysis of
several digipaks and a poster from your genre. You have analysed each
piece in great detail giving you an excellent insight as to what you need
to include in your products.
3. Good research on target audience. Excellent use of avatars to show
stereotypical audience member. Fantastic use of statistics to back up
your points.
4. Lyrics have been annotated well showing your initial ideas clearly.
5. Good evidence of ideas drafting throughout. Could you add what ideas
you found useful from the peer listening exercise?
6. Very artistic storyboards which look professional. However you need 4
pages minimum, also you need more detail (shot number, shot type,
camera movement, dialogue (lyrics) etc added to these please). Notes
have now been added to the existing storyboards. They give more detail
about the shots. However these should be laid out better in a more
tradition sense with the detail in with the storyboard.
7. Not handed in. Shot list now added. This is quite a detailed list in parts
but does not appear to cover the whole video? This would have benefited
from being in table form detailing each shot individually. Some shots
detailed in with production schedule post although briefly.
8. Not handed in. Floor plan now handed in. Excellent use of new
technologies to show your floor plan digitally. Would have been nice to
have plans for each location.

2. 9. Not handed in. Location photos now added with explanation of why each
location has been chosen.
10.11. 12.13 – costume, prop, actor and equipment choices all detailed in
one powerpoint. Costume, props and equipment choices have all been
explained well using images to visualise what is needed. Actor choice
has been explained well using a head shot of the cast.
14. Not handed in. Production schedule now uploaded. Good detail on the
pre-production and production stages. You could have added the evaluation
stage to complete your whole production journey.
Overall this could be a very proficient body of work but too much is missing.
Please upload shot list, floor plan, locations and production schedule. Please
see notes on how to improve your storyboards.
Technology has been used excellently throughout and your blog is well
organised.
All work has now been uploaded to a proficient standard, well done.
Storyboards could have been better. Great use of technology.
