traffic due to the tremendous growth in mobile data like audio, video kind of
different multimedia application. Cellular network operators invest huge amount to
make their infrastructure better like installing new cell tower and offloading data
traffic from cellular to the Wi Fi so that they can efficiently prevent congestion. We
all have observed call drops during the conversation at some time which is very
annoying and so this congestion problem gives hard time to customer and so the

Over the entirety of this course I have learned many new things about finance and

I acquired my service learning hours by participating in a group that volunteered at
Tulsa County Youth Services. My group encountered many difficulties and challenges
before finally securing a project at Tulsa County Youth Services that would allow for
us to fulfill our eight hour requirement for the service learning project. Initially, we
had planned to volunteer at Rogers CountyYouth Services, but these plans dissipated
as we learned that it was extremely difficult to simply set up a meeting between our

able to fulfill our community service hours with the difficulties that were then

Faulkner uses he said to connotate the dialogue, but since there are two he characters
in this particular case, it is difficult to figure out which one Faulkner is referring to.
On a different note, I did notice that Faulkner once again placed several references
and emphasis on eyes, especially the father s. On page 16, the narrator says the gray
eyes glinted coldly in reference to the father s eyes. The father s cold eyes are again
described on page 19. The reference to people s eyes remingded me of descriptions of
Dilsey s eyes from The Sound and the Fury and Charlotte s eyes from The Wild
Palms. I thought it was interesting to see the recurrence of emphasis on the character
s eyes.
Shingles for the Lord much easier to read than even Barn Burning. The story was
very straight foward and simplified, unlike much of Faulkner s other work we have
read. I found myself reading through it very quickly without having to stop to reread
something. The language was easy to understand, the characters were clearly
identified, and there was not an abundance of run on sentences.
I found Pap to be a quite intriguing character. It was strange that every action he took
was motivated by spite and his contempt for the other characters, much like the father

Judicial Restraint Essay
Judicial restraint and judicial activism are two opposite approaches to the checks and
balances system found within the legal system of the United States. Although both
approaches are used to prevent the use of any fraudulent power within the
government, judicial activism is the interpretation of the Constitutionvia
contemporary traditions and values. Judicial restraint, on the other hand, limits the
power to strike down a law by faithfully applying precedent. This polarity may be
difficult to distinguish between, however three methods have been developed to
easier analyze which approach has been used. Based on the actions of the Supreme
Court, if the outcome of a case upholds laws and statues, upholds stare decisis, and
strictly adheres to the Constitution, the judge used judicial restraint. Moreover,
judicial activism would not necessarily uphold the laws and statues, stare decisis, or
adhere to the Constitution. Therefore, the most distinguishing factor that sets these
two apart is their ability to influence a change to public policy; judicial activism is a
direct form of public policy change.
The distinction between judicial activism and judicial restraint may seem very
prominent and clear cut now, yet the 2010 McDonald v. the city of Chicago case
arguably uses both approaches. On June 28th, 2010, the Supreme Court ruled (5 4),
that the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees the right of
the people to keep and bear Arms, applies to state and local government as well as
to the federal government (BRITTANICA). The suit was filed to challenge the
provisions of a 1982 Chicago law that generally banned the new registration of
handguns and made registration a prerequisite to owning a firearm. This case is the
perfect example to showcase how judicial restraint and activism both act on the
outcome of a case.
The 2010 McDonald v. the city of Chicago case upheld precedents established on the
Duncan standard a more inclusive test based on the Duncan v Louisiana case
compelled the court to reject, on stare decisis, the main defendant s argument. The
Supreme Court adhered strictly to the Constitution, however, and based their outcome
