A Research Study On Learning Experience
Deciding on the research question was one of the hardest parts about the research
process. 2 or 3 weeks were spent filling out lotus diagrams, doing small research, and
discussing possible topics with Research Project teachers. The question was decided
upon after a discussion with a teacher about their personal experiences of working
with multilingual students and how that impacted on their learning experience.
According to her, multilingual students seemed to perform better in their education
and had higher mathematical ability. I wanted to investigate this claim further; I was
also completing Russian Stage 2 at that moment, and found that the topic was relevant
to my personal experiences.
The question was narrowed down into a more specific topic over the next few weeks
by beginning the research and seeing what the current existing research shows about
the question. This was effective as it allowed me to make the question sensible and
realistic to complete in the time allocated, and allowed me to develop a deeper
understanding of the topic as the weeks went along. At the beginning of the project, I
decided to use 3 main research methods: experiment, interview and literature analysis.
Although interview was never completed, the other methods proved to be highly
effective in completing the outcome.

Landfills are designed structures built into or on top of the ground to ensure refuse
isolation. The design and operations act to ensure that there are minimal effects to
public and environmental health. MSW landfills have 6 components: 1] Bottom liner
systems, 2] Refuse wells 3] Storm water drainage system, 4] Leachate collection
systems, 5] methane collection systems, and 6] a covering cap. These components
