Economic Globalization Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of economic globalization can be a challenging task that requires a
thorough understanding of complex economic concepts, international relations, and the
interconnectedness of global markets. The multifaceted nature of this subject demands extensive
research to grasp the historical context, current trends, and potential future developments.
Navigating through the vast amount of literature and data on economic globalization poses a
difficulty in itself. The scholar must sift through academic articles, economic reports, and policy
papers to gather relevant and credible information. Additionally, interpreting economic theories
and understanding the implications of globalization on various aspects of society adds another
layer of complexity.
The essay should not only present a comprehensive overview of the topic but also delve into
critical analysis and provide well-supported arguments. This involves examining both the positive
and negative consequences of economic globalization, considering perspectives from different
stakeholders, and addressing potential challenges and controversies associated with the
phenomenon.
Crafting a coherent and compelling narrative requires effective organization and a strong thesis
statement that guides the reader through the essay's main points. Striking the right balance
between depth and accessibility is essential, as the topic can easily become overwhelming with
technical jargon and intricate economic theories.
Moreover, articulating a personal perspective while maintaining objectivity can be a delicate task.
Writers must carefully navigate the fine line between expressing their opinions and presenting a
well-balanced, evidence-based argument.
In conclusion, writing an essay on economic globalization demands a combination of research
skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication. It is a challenging endeavor that requires
dedication and a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. For those seeking
assistance or looking for professionally crafted essays on similar topics, various resources are

Sydney Carton, A Complex Character
Sydney Carton, a Complex Character Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two
Cities, reveals a person that is so complex that students of British Literature still
have not fully understood Sydney Carton s character. Dickens introduces him to
the reader as an arrogant, frustrated, no account barrister who lives through the
lives of others. Yet throughout the novel one can see that he is a brilliant barrister
who does not realize his worth, a man changed through love and devotion, and a
self sacrificing individual. Sydney Carton is an unsubstantial social presence on
the edge of groups to which he belongs, but never really a part of, and he is at
home nowhere (Petch 27). This is the feeling that the reader experiences when
introduced to Carton. One realizes that he does not belong. He is with everyone, and
he is with no one. He sees nothing in any of his accomplishments. He is indifferent
to success. He takes a back seat as the jackal, while Stryver, the lion, takes the front
seat making money and winning cases. Yet, one can see that his colleague, Stryver, is
nothing without him. It is Carton that finds the meaning in the statements, defines
them, and, like the cunning jackal that he is, makes cases for Stryver that can be
won. (28) As Dickens states, (Stryver) had not the faculty of extracting the essence
from a heap of statements, which is among the most striking necessary of the
advocate s accomplishments. (90) Carton does not know his worth. He spends his
The Globalization Of The Hospitality Industry
Hospitality
The hospitality industry in the United States is one of the fastest growing branches of
the market economy. The high growth rates of the hotel industry are caused not only
by the growth of internal and external economic ties between countries, but also by
the growth of foreign tourism. The modern hotel business in the US is a powerful
industry, in the full sense of the word. The entire American hotel industry, in the first
place, is designed for the domestic tourism market. For example, in Chicago for a
year there are 33 million tourists, and only 2 million of them are foreigners.
Hotel marketing and the competitiveness of the United States. The globalization and
concentration of the hotel business are manifested in the creation of large
corporations and hotel chains. The main trends in the development of the hotel
business in the US are several factors. Development of the democratization of the
hotel industry, which contributes to increasing the availability of hotel services for
the mass consumers. A narrower specialization of the hotel business, which allows
people more clearly focus on certain segments of consumers, taking into account
various characteristics. Globalization and concentration of the hotel business, the
creation of entertainment cities such as Las Vegas. Personification of service and full
concentration on the needs of customers. Broad introduction of new communication
and information technologies, allowing for deep and systematic economic
The Tragedy Of Sophocles Antigone
The story in Antigone shows two things that Sophocles could be pointing which is
important whether may be the family or authority. Readers could not tell whether
Sophocles would be choosing which but most conclude that Sophocles could be
siding with family as it talks much more about it than authority. In the mind of a
reader, family is mostly likely the winner as Antigonecares her brother Polyneices,
Antigone denies the rule of Creon, Creon values his son and his wife, and Sophocles
might be making a point when he made family important in Antigone. In the story
of Sophocles, Antigone consider both Eteocles and Polyneices equally even
though both were killed each other. But even so, Antigone consider them both as
brothers and they are still part of the family. In the play, Antigone point out that
Eteocles is being buried with honors while Polyneices isn t: Antigone. Listen,
Ismene: Creon buried our brother Eteocles With military honors, gave him a
soldier s funeral, And it was right that he should; but Polyneices, Who fought as
bravely and died as miserable, That say that Creon has sworn No one shall bury
him, no one mourn for him, But his body must lie in the fields, a sweet treasure
For carrion birds to find as they search for food. That is what they say, and our good
Creon is coming here To announce it publicly; and the penalty Stoning to death in

Analysis Of The Glass Castle, By Jeannette Walls
Jeannette Walls s life growing up was rough. It wasn t this great adventure that her
parents tried to make themselves and their kids believe it was. However, the kids
did grow up independent, well rounded and educated in many areas that children
might usually be sheltered from. The Glass Castle is a memoir written by
Jeannette Walls about her childhood growing up with parents that lived
unconventional lives chasing freedom. This book spent 261 weeks on New York
Times Bestseller list which does not surprise me in the least; it was a fantastic
read. First of all, I am usually not a fan of memoirs, but I enjoyed reading this one
immensely. The style of writing is very descriptive, which helps the reader create
an imagine in their head and feel as if they are there with the characters. I
appreciate J. Walls staying objective throughout the book, she doesn t add in her
opinion about what she feels was right or wrong about her childhood. As a matter
of fact the tone of the book makes me feel more like she is trying to make sense of
it herself by simply writing it down. The conflicting emotions I experienced while
reading this book is what made it a great read. I could not help but empathise with
all of the characters. The children were clearly not at fault for any of the scary and
disgusting things that happened to them, yet I could not completely hate the parents
either. The father s character was complex like all of the other characters in this
book. His troubled past could
Installing Your Own Hair Extensions Essays
Having long, healthy hair could possibly be one of the envied genes amongst
women. Many women take supplements or undergo surgery to provide them with
the added confidence of having luxurious hair. Although, those methods have been
proven to work, there are many other less invasive methods available for obtaining
beautiful hair. The use of hair extensions have become a popular trend in today s
society. Many celebrities, TV personalities and even politicians have owned up to
adding a few hair extensions here and there. Hair extensions can be used to add
length and volume to thin, short and receding hair. However, finding a beautician to
install them can be bit pricy for the average individual. Being able to install them on

The most common method of creating a base for a whole head weave is to braid
the hair in cornrows from the front to the back, while leaving out a small section at
the top to cover the tracks. However, this method can not be done for a partial hair
weave. To complete a partial sew in you would need to braid the area of hair that
will hold the extensions in a side to side pattern.
Step 2 After the base has been made, you will need to sew the remaining ends of the
cornrow on to it. Start by threading the needle. You would do this by inserting the
thread through the eye of the needle. Once you have that completed fold the thread in
two and measure out approximately 18 inches. At the end, tie the two pieces together
in a knot.
Step 3
Fold the end of the braid on top of the cornrow and sew it down using a basic stitch
method. Once you have reached the end of the braid you should make a knot to keep
it from coming undone.
Step 4
Open the pack of hair extensions and comb out any knots or tangles pay special
attention to any rubber bands or pins used to keep the hair together.
Step 5
Next you will have to locate the weft on the hair extension. The weft is the sturdy area
at the top of the extension. This is where the hair has been looped together with
thread. It resembles a seam.
Step 6
Once the weft has been located, you will then need to lay the extension on top of the
cornrow to measure the length of the braid. Once the length

The modern use of chemical weapons has been used since World War I. By using
poisonous gas to inflict suffering and significant casualties. For example, chlorine,
phosgene, and mustard gas were used to inflict burns on the skin or as a choking
agent. Since the time of World War I, chemical weapons have impacted more than a

terrorists. Weapons of mass destruction include Nuclear, biological, radiological, and

Effective Diets
We have all heard of different types of diets in fitness magazines, weight loss
books, and television commercials, but which diets have been researched and been
proven to be effective for weight loss? Two of the most popular diets are a low
carbohydrate diet and a low calorie diet. A low carbohydrate diet removes almost all
carbohydrates from one s diet. Carbohydrates are a macronutrient that provide the
body with energy. A low calorie diet lowers the amount of calories in one s diet by
lowering the amount of fats and the total amount of daily calories a person takes in.
Low carbohydratediets and low calorie diets are effective for weight loss but can be
difficult to follow.
Random, controlled studies show that both low carbohydrate ... Show more content

A classic example of a low calorie diet would be half a plate of vegetables, a small
side of beans or rice, and a lean cut on meat like chicken or beef. So a great side
effect of these diets is that a person is forced to eat healthier. Both diets are
effective for weight loss but can be difficult to follow for several reasons. Both
diets can be difficult to follow if a person is eating out at fast food restaurants and
are not cooking their own food. Some restaurants are now trying to cater to these
diets, but most are high in carbohydrates and calories. When followed correctly
both diets can make most people feel fatigued and moody because the body has to
use stored fat as energy. Low carbohydrate diets are more difficult to follow,
because a person s insulin levels are lowered in the body. This is because of the
lack of carbohydrates, which causes more food cravings and less energy. This is a
good sign that the diets are working. Low calorie diets are not as difficult to follow
because a person is still eating plenty of carbohydrates, which keeps their insulin
levels stable. Low calorie diets are still difficult to follow because a person is still
eating fewer calories than the body needs to function. So even though both diets may
be difficult to follow they are both effective for weight loss. Even though there are a
lot of different diets on the market,

The service that I emphasize in this advertisement is dining. In figure 1, the waiter
is serving the lady with charming smile and the lady who is the customer also
smiles happily. I chose this type of image because I would like to tell our target
audience that we respect our guests and provide them the best service. It also
shows that our staffs are friendly and we always welcome our guests with open
arms. In figure 2, I have chosen a chef who holding a plate of dishes. His smile on
face shows that he is very enthusiastic in his career. Besides, I would like to convey
the message about chefs in Shangri La are professional and we are confident
enough to provide our guests the best dining experience and delicacies. Moreover, I

Greek Culture Influence
Greek Culture and Influence
The Ancient Greek Empire was an empire of great power and success. From the
beginning of democracy to the amazing architecture of the Parthenon, the Greeks had
many achievements that marked their place in history, as their technologies were
very advanced for their time. Even today, Ancient Greek culture and technological
advancements continue to influence our lives in aspects of government, philosophy,
architecture, geometry, mythology, and sports.
Although democracy can be traced back to Ancient China and Mesopotamia, the
modern form that we follow today originated in Athens, Greece ( Democracy ).
Democracy comes from the Greek word demokratia , which means people power. At
the time, when Athens was ruled under a tyrannical dictatorship, a learned man
named Cleisthenes spread the idea of people sharing power with the rulers, across
Athens. The idea ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This also introduced a way of giving a voice to people of all statuses. For instance,
the Greeks developed a voting system in which black and white pebbles were
collected in a container. Black would mean no and white would mean yes . The
pebbles would then be counted and the majority vote would determine the action
taken. The advantages of democracy are that the people have the power to elect their
rulers and representatives, who can then make wise decisions on their behalf. This
promotes political stability and the evolution of societies. Today, more than 120
countries around the world have adopted democracy as their form of government.
Philosophy is a subject of great wisdom and the most prominent Greek philosophers

A Long Way From Chicago Character Analysis
Stealing food and using it to feed someone is an example of what is used
throughout the fictional novel, A Long Way From Chicago, copyright date 1997.
Joey and Mary Alice visit Grandma Dowdel s home from Chicago every summer.
Each year for seven years they learn that kindness can be shown in different ways.
Similarly, Grandma Dowdel displays acts of kindness by stealing, cheating, and
lying however in the end, changes the peoples lives for the better. Richard Peck uses
the events of his novel, A Long Way From Chicago to convey the universal theme,
kindness can be shown in many ways. The first reason that supports this theme is that
Grandma Dowdel feeds Aunt Puss Chapman and the drifters even though she could
have gotten arrested for catching the food illegally. The author states that the trap
used to catch the fish was a fish trap. Fish traps were illegal to use but Grandma used
the catfish she caught to feed Aunt Puss Chapman for supper and the drifters. She
expressed her kindness through stealing. The second reason that supports this theme
is that Grandma helped Vandalia and Junior Stubbs run away by making the people
of the town believe something that scares them. According to the text, Joey used
Grandpa Dowdel s big, old black overcoat. This meant he acted as the Phantom
Brakeman, who many people in the town feared. Vandalia and Junior... Show more

A Metro North train conductor shared a fascinating secret with me about the famous
United States president, Franklin D. Roosevelt, when I commuted home one

Roosevelt used a private railroad track, train car, and elevator to enter the Waldorf
Astoria. Instead of routing his private railcar to Grand Central, Roosevelt used Track
61 to enter directly into the hotel. Although this track has been out of service for
decades, it still contains the original train car and private elevator used by Franklin D.

their attention to the ceiling of the main concourse, adorned with a celestial mural. In
looking closely at Cancer the Crab, a dark patch of the ceiling stands out amongst
the rest of the blue mural. This patch was purposely left in this condition, showcasing
how dirty the station s ceiling was prior to the 1998 restoration project. Contrary to
popular belief, the grime on the ceiling primarily resulted from cigarette ash, prior to
the ban on indoor smoking, rather than the soot from the

not only for overnight excursions, but a number of watersports activities and even
entertaining while onboard. Powerful outboard engines ranging from single all the
way up to quad motors give the boat the power not to just cruise along the water, but
to allow for skiing, tubing, and any number of watersports to give the family ultimate
enjoyment.
Many models also have the option of a summer kitchen as opposed to the standard
bait prep area to maximize the potential to entertain family and friends. That
combined with the fold our seats for most models means that the fisherman can have
a clear deck when needed, but also entertain comfortably without the need for bulky
furnishings throughout the boat.

needs of all family member, you will be pleased to know that a number of different
companies have different walkaround models to choose from. These are just a few of
them, but the multi functionality of the boat style is one that will surely bring about
more styles and types in the future.

Point Gratiot Beach Pollution
Point Pollution
On Earth day, I attended the beach cleanup held at Point Gratiot, which is part of the
Adopt a Beach program for the Great Lakes. The clean up involved picking up any
and all trash that was found among the shore, which included microplastics that may
be buried amongst the driftwood and the more visible items. Many of the participants
and faculty made the observation that the beach was littered with less large items
unlike previous years, such as tires and refrigerators, but the number of microplastics
and small plastic items persist. Therefore, the cleanups are necessary because they are
effective in cleaning up the waste that washes up on the shore, or litter that is left

In the textbook, Taylor states, pollution is The direct or indirect introduction as a
result of human activity... which may be harmful to human health or the quality
of the environment (239). Therefore, the cleanup focuses on cleaning up pollution
from the habitat of the beach in order to return some of the quality to the land
organisms live on. In addition, due to the overabundance of trash that ends up in
the landfill yearly, 750 kg per a person during the year of 2000 (Taylor, 255), the
consumption habits of people relates to the clean up because the need to consume
rather than reuse is what causes so much waste. A key concept that can help
reduce the amount of waste caused pollution is to follow the waste hierarchy when
consuming. The waste hierarchy, as discussed by Taylor (254, 260), is looking at
consumption in a cradle to cradle style rather than cradle to grave, as a means of
giving products a second life through reprocessing and reuse rather than a product s
use ending in a landfill. One possible solution can be found through green
consumption, which relates to the prevention or reuse of products as mentioned in
the waste hierarchy (Taylor, 260). If more reusable items are used this means less
material will end up in the landfill, and less in the landfill means less overflow will
end up in the Great Lakes. Therefore, the beach clean up related to waste and

The only pro of this solution would be that it would most likely help Mahoney with

above the other challenge that Timmson will face when training Mahoney is the
amount of time that it will require for him to devote to the training process.

Dracula Themes

Count Dracula than just one undead aristocrat biting people and making terrible
cloak related fashion choices! In this lesson, we ll go over the main characters in
Bram Stoker s novel, Dracula, and how they relate to the main themes of the novel.
First, we ll go over a few themes so you know what to look for. The novel Dracula is
part of a genre called Gothic fiction, which explores the breakdown of social order,
control, and scientific understanding. In Dracula specifically, the villain has
supernatural powers that threaten science as a way to understand the world. The
heroes defeat Count Dracula by combining modern science with knowledge of

travel, and he s limited by the need to rest near his native Transylvanian soil. In the
story, he tries to solve these problems by buying some land in London and filling it in
with Transylvanian dirt, which is how he runs into our heroes.
The Heroes
Now let s take a look at the good guys:
Jonathan Harker is a young British lawyer who ends up involved in Dracula s
attempt to move to London. He s the one who discovers Dracula s true nature as a
vampire, and he leads the group of heroes who join together to stop the vampire.
Van Helsing is an older scientist and professor who plays the experienced advisor
to the other heroes. He s first called in to save another character, Lucy Westenra,
from a mysterious illness that turns out to be Count Dracula draining her blood. He
s done his homework on vampire legends, but he s also a modern scientist, and he
combines the two areas to help the team defeat Dracula. This ties into the theme of
the vampire as a threat to social order and scientific rationality; by defeating Dracula
with science, Van Helsing helps restore the proper order of things.
There are also two women in the group fighting Dracula, Mina and
Advantages And Drawbacks Of Ipo
Drawbacks of IPO s It is true that IPO raises huge capital for the issuing company.
But in order to launch an Initial Public Offering (IPO), it is also necessary to make
certain investments. Setting up an IPO does not always lead to an improvement in
the economic performance of the company. A continuing expenditure has to be
incurred after the setting up of an IPO by the parent company. A lot of expenses
have to be incurred in the form of legal fees, printing costs and accounting fees,
which are connected to the registering of an IPO. Such expenses might cost hundreds
of US dollars. Apart from such enormous costs, there are other factors as well that
should be taken into consideration by the company while introducing an IPO. Such
factors include the rules and regulations involved to set up public offerings and this

decisions all by themselves once an IPO has been launched and shareholders have

is being taken even if they do not hold 50 percent share of the company. They have
their individual demands to be met as they owe a certain percentage of stakes in the

company, meetings and also approvals from them while making important business

Classroom Learning Environment
Amy Fisher The overall functioning of a classroom is impacted by trust, safety, and
consistency. When a student does not feel safe he or she will reflect this through his
or her behavior. Trust is important for students to take risks and allow learning to
occur in the classroom. Trust, safety, and consistency are beneficial in the learning
environment. A classroom where students feel safe, realize the teacher is consistent,
and trust is developed, will allow students to grow and change socially, emotionally,
and academically. This will offer a positive learning environment. Establishing
rapport with students is extremely important. Students should feel like a teacher
genuinely cares about their well being. Trust is an important component of the
classroom learning environment. A student should respect and trust his or her
teacher and the teacher should be respectful of his or her students and their families.
This will encourage a nurturing learning environment and decrease behavioral
problems in the classroom. When the teacher is consistently supporting the rules,
and allowing the students to feel safe in the classroom, trust begins to develop.
Teachers have to work to develop trust and respect in the classroom due to the fact
that children in today s world are often mistrusting because of society s messages of
the world being dangerous (world view) as well as their own direct experiences (self
view) with abuse, violence, and neglect. Providing a safe and secure environment
enables students to explore and participate in learning. Students will volunteer
answers and ask questions when they feel safe. When students feel safe they are more
willing to talk about themselves to others and the teacher. Establish relationships with
your students and build a sense of community within your classroom. Students need
to get to know each other as well as experience the human side of their teacher. This
will allow for a safe and trusting classroom environment. A positive learning
environment requires consistency within the classroom and by the teacher. Rules
need to be established in the classroom. Students and teachers need to understand and
agree upon the rules and procedures of the classroom.
Mean Girls Psychology
In the movie Mean Girls, Cady Heron a homeschooled girl from Africa. She is now
entering public school for the first time, she meets the best people you will meet,
Janis, a supposedly lesbian girl; and Damian, a boy too gay to function. Cady is
warned to avoid the Plastics a clique comprised of three girls: gretchen Wieners, a
girl who s rich because her father invented toaster strudel; Karen Smith, the
dumbest girl you will ever meet, and Regina George, the unofficial leader and the
meanest one. Cady becomes a hit with the Plastics and eventually assimilates into
the clique, on for Janis to ask her to sabotage them. After conflicts involving Regina
s ex boyfriend, Aaron Samuels, Cady later becomes tied between being part of
them or sabotaging them. She tricks Regina into eating fattening candy bars that
she claims will make her skinny, tries to break him and Samuel up, and tries to
turn her fellow Plastics, against her. While doing this Cady learns about the Burn
Book. This is a notebook that Regina has been filled with vicious rumors, secrets,
and gossip about all the other girls and teachers. In her efforts to get revenge on
Regina, Cady gradually loses her individual personality and remakes herself in the
image of Regina. Regina responds by spreading the entire contents of her Burn Book
around the school, causing a riot. With the help of Ms. Norbury, their math teacher
they realized that all of these jokes were hurting their peers. She has each of the girls
Advantage And Disadvantage Of Composites
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Composite materials are the engineering materials
made from two or more constituent materials they remain separate and distinct on a
macroscopic level but forming a single component or Composites can defined as
materials that consist of two more chemically and physically different phases
separated by a distinct interface(matrix phase and dispersed phase). The different
systems are combined judiciously to achieve a component with more and more
useful structural or functional properties non attainable by any of the constituent
alone. In the composites usually Matrix phase is the primary or base phase having a
continuous character or continuous molecular chain. But these Matrixes are usually
less hard and more ductile phase. In composites it holds the dispersed (reinforcing)
phase, shares a load with it. The Dispersed phase is encapsulated in the matrix in a
discontinuous form called a secondary phase. This Secondary phase... Show more

bring in latte like profits (Horovitz, 2010). The biggest challenges for Starbucks is
gaining entry into this new market and retaining customer loyalty.
Starbucks understands the coffee and the liquor markets both require government
regulation. Since most of Starbucks coffee is grown by the company in/out of the
U.S. it s the percentage that is imported from foreign producers that will cause the
most challenge to Starbucks manufacturing revenue. In order of Starbucks to gain
entry to the wine and beer industry it will have to rely on its advantage on handling
government regulation, but the blending of markets will require some creative
strategies. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in the United Sates mandates
what products are sold for consumption in U.S. markets. Starbucks marketing
executives and shareholders know that imposing certain restrictions of foreign
imports by the government will limit competition by making it more costly. More
subtly, a firm can favor laws that raise its costs but raise competitors costs by more.

The Role Of Snow In Summer Rain Case Study
The role or snow in the catchment The role of snow in the catchment is quite
important. Although the upper catchment is moderately wet, the lower catchment is
extremely dry. In fact, the lower catchment is one of the driest areas in New Zealand.
It receives less than 400 mm of precipitation annually. Thus, the snow is imperative
because when it melts, it runs down into the lower catchment and provides a water
source that would not exist otherwise (because the lower catchment does not receive
much rain). Additionally, most of the farming occurs on the lower catchment, thus
relying on the irrigation from the melted snow source from the upper catchment.
The little impact summer rain events have on observed river flow The impact that ...

The relation between climate change and irrigation related withdrawals and how
important they are in determining the amount of water in the Lindis River The
relation between climate change and irrigation related withdrawals is quite
important. It is hard to separate the two and decide which one is more imperative.
With comparing that data above, I have concluded that the two are closely related and
significant to address. They are both play a large role in determining the amount of
water in the Lindis River. However, in my opinion, I think that irrigation might have
slightly more urgency due to the fact that there are abstractions in the irrigation and
they are not tightly monitored. Additionally, irrigation is easier to address do to the
fact that it can be more controlled by humans than climate change. Better irrigation
systems can be put into place that control water flow more accurately. Better
management strategies can be developed in order to have a better structure of
employees and management chain. This better controlled irrigation can lead to an
improved handle on the river water and less waste and uncertainty.

My Goals To Become A Writer
Passion: it s what drives the human spirit. It s a fierce desire of determination that
persists strongly through all adversity. It s the underlying tone in every success

Gerald Ford Address To Nixon Rhetorical Analysis
In 1974, President Richard Nixon announced his resignation. In response to this Vice
President Gerald Ford spoke of his opinion on the situation. Nixon s letter of
resignation is a direct effect of the Watergate scandal, The purpose of these speeches
is to make Ford look more trustworthy. After the Watergate scandal
, Nixon was not
trusted by the people and congress. In his speech Nixon announced, it has become
evident to me that I no longer have a strong enough political base in the Congress to
justify continuing that effort (Passage 1 Paragraph 2). This describes Congress not
trusting Nixon, because Nixon does not have a strong political base with them. Nixon
is sure that, because of the of the Watergate matter , he won t have the needed support

Summary Of The Gospel
Estefania A Quintero Z
REL 110
Dr. Michael Anthony Novak
2 November 2015
Exegetical Paper Matthew 6:25 34
The Gospel according to Matthew is one of the main books that form the New
Testament, it is actually the first book of the New Testament. It tells the story of how
the Messiah, a Hebrew word meaning the Anointed One or a prophesied perfect king;
identified as Jesus, is rejected by Israel and decides to send his disciples to preach his
Gospels throughout the world. Mathew uses Mark as a reference throughout his
gospel; however, he focused on Jesus s teachings as much as his acts. The Gospel of
Matthew differentiates from Mark s Gospel, because Matthew goes back farther still,
to show Jesus as the Son of God from his birth.
According to Albright, in his book Matthew, he mentions that some of Matthews s
themes in his Gospel are the generosity, humility, putting aside wealth or any other
human characteristic (Albright, p. 81). In Matthew 6:25 34, the first paragraph
mentions how we should not overconcerned about anything in this life, followed by
the question ...Is not your life more than eating and drinking, and your body more
than clothing... (Matthew 6:25) Nowadays people tend to worry about many things,
and usually these concerns are because they want to fit society; people believe that
if they do not act, or wear clothes that are trendy, or simply if they are not doing
what society wants, they are going to be left behind. This is completely wrong.

Kasushika Hokusai Research Paper
Katsushika Hokusai Is a well renown painter in our time. He is most known for his
famous painting The Great Wave off Kanagawa . Though he had other lesser

The Importance of Safety in Coal Mining Companies
Employee Safety Importance of Safety One of the most vital investments made in any
mining company is to ensure that their people return safe and sound at the end of a
day of work. In the current era of rapid industrial growth, managing the impacts of this
growth on the safety and wellbeing of employees is critical. The impact also extends
towards the mining companies, overall labor pool and the constant threat of mine
closures and job losses. Whenever there is an accident or death in a mine, companies
face routine shutdowns ordered by the government for investigations, and work
stoppages by union members. This causes companies to suffer huge production
losses. Government and the Focus on Safety The government has adopted a strong
stance on Coal Mining Safety and has extended a commitment towards increasing
general safety for mineworkers. It is envisaged that greater cooperation could
contribute to the safety efforts. Government continues to engage in constructive
discussions to engage with both business and labour on how to improve on safety.

The Misanthrope Antigone Analysis
Sophocles Antigone and MoliГЁre s The Misanthrope both feature protagonists
who challenge the conventions of their respective societies. Antigone lays her life
on the line to properly honor her fallen brother, who was ostracized from Thebes.
Meanwhile, Alceste passionately expresses his disgust for the unctuous French
salon culture, much to the horror of his community. Although both of these
characters are typified as heroic outcasts, Antigone s role is more captivating, even
bordering on exasperating at times. Antigone is structured as a series of debates,
allowing Antigone s skill as a direct, powerful speaker to shine. Kreon asks her if
she buried her brother and her response is: I did it. I deny nothing (541). Moreover,
Antigone admits she was aware of Kreon s order, stating, I was. / I couldn t avoid
it when it was made public (547 548). This simplicity adds to Antigone s appeal;
she does not lie to escape her punishment nor does she muddle her purpose with a
longwinded plea for forgiveness. Readers recognize that she is so faithful to her
mission that she is willing to die for it, an incredible feat by their standards. They are
compelled to continue their study of the novel, curious to discover if Antigone will
genuinely commit to death in order to honor her values. Additionally, the morals she
houses serve as a source of engagement for the audience. Kreon demands to
understand why she knowingly defied his commandment, to which she replies:
...because I did not believe that Zeus was the one who had proclaimed it; neither did
Justice, or the gods of the dead whom Justice lives among. (550 553)
Antigone respects divine laws more than those of the land; since she believes Kreon
s rule is in direct violation of the gods will for Polyneices, she ignores it.
Furthermore, Antigone esteems her family more than politics. Although her brother
is considered an enemy of the city, they still share the same blood, inducing her
fierce affection for and loyalty to him. These are themes that readers cling to, being
that they excellently represent the shared values of humankind. Most people exalt
the morals of a higher power or some supernatural force over those of fallible
bureaucrats. Familial bonds
Management Position Of A Nonprofit Organization
In the near future, I can imagine myself in a management position of a nonprofit
organization as the Director of Programs. This role is responsible for the operational
success of the organization ensuring ideal team management and development,
program delivery, and quality control and evaluation. Additionally, this title will
manage a growing staff as well as manage relationships in the community. Taking on
such a task requires leadership skills in addition to establishing standards of
performance across all programs. It is necessary to implement plans and goals in
accordance with the mission statement. Drucker states, a mission statement has to be
operational, otherwise it s just good intentions (Drucker, Chapter 1). The primary
focus of the mission statement is to carry out what the organization really wants to
do. My task is to try and convert this mission statement into specifics so that the
company stays in line with its mission statement for desired results. Drucker believes
that every mission statement must include three things: opportunities, competence,
and commitment (Drucker, Chapter 1). It is my duty to make sure that the mission
statement reflects all three things or else the company will lose sight of its ultimate
goal and purpose. In my managementrole, I must clearly define what success is for
the organization. By doing this, I will be able to retain and attract quality employees.

Irrational Decisions In Huck Finn
Through the novel we notice that both characters have a tendency to make
irrational and irresponsible decisions. Such as Pap who is not a good role model
to Huck as he beats his son and tends to be drunk most of the time throughout the
novel. This shows Pap as an irresponsible human being making irrational decisions.
Another good example is Although Huck is not a drunk or fights with others, he
still makes ignorant mistakes. Such as in chapter 10, Huck kills a rattlesnake to
play a prank on Jim by leaving it on Jim s bed but the snakes mate joins the dead
partner and when Jim gets into bed it bites him. Huck later realizes he had forgot
about placing the snake there and to make it worst he says that all comes of my

In the story we find that Huck has been living with a lady named Willow Douglas,
who happens to be his legal guardian. She is the reason Huck is civilized but he is

another trail so your guardian can be the Widow, Huck is shaken by this through
and says I didn t want to go back to the widow s any more and be sivilized (Twain
134). Huck also wants to free from his father because he does not like the way his
old man treats him by locking him up and physically abusing him. We notice the
insane violence when Huck says Pap chased me round and round the place, with a
clasp knife, calling me the Angel of Death and saying he would kill me and then I
couldn t come for him no more (Twain 138). Pap Finn is also on the same boat of
wanting freedom because all he wants is the money that his son has to buy alcohol.
He does not care of about his son and he does not want to take any responsibilities
for anything, he just wants to be intoxicated and waste his life. The best criticism
towards Pap is given by Jim when he tells Huck Yo ole father doan know, yit, what
s he s a gwyne to do (Twain 131). This means that Pap does not have his life figured
out because he does not want to take responsibility and thus be
The Endosymbiotic Theory
Before eukaryotic cells contained organelles and worked symbiotically as one, life
consisted of free living bacteria. Organelles, such as chloroplasts and mitochondria,
that are currently found in eukaryotic cells are theorized to have been separate
bacteria before the evolutionary success of the eukaryotic cell. Such idea is proven
through the endosymbiotic theory. This concept provides an evolutionary origin for
the mitochondrion and chloroplast seen in organisms of today. This theory is held
together by DNAevidence found within the organelles themselves. The
mitochondrion alone contain its own genome enclosed in the form of circular DNA,
as well as their own ribosomes and transfer RNA. Similarly, the chloroplasts have
their own genome. When compared to their bacterial ancestors, these DNA sequences
resemble that of the respective organelles. The DNA sequences of these genes
provide clear evidence to the evolutionary success of the eukaryotic cell.... Show

One of these of which were the mitochondrion then the chloroplast respectively over
time. However, the ancestral cell had no need for a free living oxygen metabolizing
bacteria to live symbiotically within its membrane due to its anaerobic nature. After
consumption, the mitochondrial free living bacteria bypassed digestion and
progressed into the membrane of the ancestral cell. This initiated the symbiotic
relationship. The cell can now receive power generation within itself, while the
mitochondria take shelter in the cell. Additionally, the chloroplast has similar
originations; the photosynthetic bacteria were consumed then used in symbiosis to
create food for the ancestral
A Brief Note On Fraud Detection And Deterrence

the fraud cases are associated with monitory issues and seek on addressing on how an

for Certified FraudExaminers (AFCE) plays prolific role in curbing any possible

association helps firms greatly experience tremendous improvement. They initially

This prevents irresponsiveness thus making leverage and opportunity actualization
possible. In case the officers concerned in fraudulent activities are caught, they should
be subjected to face law accordingly. Accounting does not advocate for any unclear
means of growth and penetration within the organization. Each player requires being
given fair platform of expressing its issues and they should not be dominated by
single party. People ought to free themselves from corrupt deals as they eventually
result in tarnishing an organization s ability to perform as well meet its long term
actualization. Proper assessment of organization s financial statements with the
exercise being conducted by external auditors encourages clarity and limits possible
instances of fraudulent activities from taking place.
Through an organization freeing itself from any avenue of fraudulence, it results in
backing an organization to grow properly and move towards attaining better results. It
is possible for any firm to encourage relevant growth and achievement only if the
members are committed in the tasks they are allocated. Through training and
impacting of appropriate knowledge, firms gain the zeal and ability to limit their
operations thus achieving great attainment. Many firms prefer recruiting from ACFE
because of the strong ethics that are imparted on them. Officers trained by the
association have great chances of increasing their appropriateness in

When people fall in love with people, I fall in love with cosmetic. My desire to

Greek Media Influence
Media Influence in Ancient and Modern Times Media has near complete control
over social attitudes, and constructs how people perceive each other as well as
themselves. Things have not changed since the original Doryphoros of Polykelitos
and the Knidian Aphrodite of Praxiteles were created. Both were constructed during
times in which statues that were commissioned and displayed to the public were awe
inspiring as well as subtly influencing how the viewers see the world. These iconic
statues have been analyzed by scholars for centuries, slowly picking apart every detail
in an attempt to understand how the ancient Greeks constructed and controlled the
behavior of citizens. In their appearance and context, the Doryphoros and Knidian
Aphrodite both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Revealing Aphrodite, Nigel Spivey describes the nude Knidian Aphrodite of
Praxiteles and its cultural legacy in the understanding of societal expectations of
ancient Greek women. Respected women were depicted fully clothes, adorned
with jewelry and sometimes presenting an offering to the gods. Only sex workers,
typically slaves or the educated hetairai/courtesans, and at times certain goddesses,
appeared nude in art, but these representations did not convey the same power as
the Doryphoros does for men. The common theme amongst all the depictions of
women in art, is the passivity of their nature. For instance, the Knidian Aphrodite
catches the goddess in a moment of vulnerability. Her shoulders are hunched, hand
covering her genetalia in an attempt at modesty and her passive posture does not
inspire as much as the Doryphoros. The Knidian Aphrodite s body language does
not yield as much power or control to onlookers as the Doryphoros, but is meant to
entice and distract as women are said to do. Spivey suggests this is due to the
stigma against women embodying Aphrodite, goddess of love and desire, and
taking on the roles patroned by Demeter, goddess of the harvest and motherhood
(Spivey, 177). The juxtaposition of these goddesses speaks to how it is up to women
to, in a sense, bring themselves up by straying away
Analysis Of The Book Living Color By Claudia Rankine
In Living Color
Citizen (2014), by Claudia Rankine, is a book that explores racism and prejudice
that is happening in the United States. Rankine incorporates personal encounters,
reactions, reflections, writing and art pieces, historical events, and the media to
prove the point that racism is still very prominent to this day. For a majority of the
book, Rankine writes short pieces about her personal encounters that deals with
some form of racism, whether it happened to her or if she witnessed racism
happening to other people. Within those short pieces, Rankine refers to herself as
you, because she wants her readers to see what racism looks like in her shoes, even
if the readers have not personally been affected by racism. Throughout the book,
Rankine includes several symbols that are important to her that shows the audience
that those symbols may be small, but they have a huge impact on how people
perceive them. Rankine emphasizes the existence of the color line, the effect of a
darker complexion, and a deeper anger that is being marketed towards the black
culture. What is the importance of these symbols?
When racism was more common in the United States, there was blunt segregation
happening before people s eyes. White people lived in areas with more opportunities,
and better living arrangements, whereas black people were forced to live in lesser
more ghetto parts of town. Although, the color line is not as prominently visible,
there are still insistences that have
Magnetic Organizer Essay
Name:David Toledo Room: 401 Review of Literature Target Audience The
Magnetic Organizer will appeal to a young older audience. Both boys and girls can
be unorganized, and therefore the Magnetic Organizer is for both genders. The
Magnetic Organizer can appeal to many students who have trouble being
organized in school. Leaving folders, papers, or homework somewhere are
constant struggles of students. Magnetic Organizers can be used by both amateurs
and professionals as both need to be organized in order to either become a
professional, or stay one. The disabled could probably not use this design, as the
main function needed to operate my design is to pull up the bin from the magnetic
lock, and be able to grab whatever is placed inside of the magnetic binder. This is
not a very complex design, so it can be used without much previous knowledge on
how it functions. The concept of the design can be learned fairly quick. Similar
Products Many common products meet the need as the magnetic organizer. One of
the most common are named folders. This product meets the same purpose as the
Magnetic Organizer, although, is very simple. Papers can fall out if turned upside
down, and can cause much stress if done on accident. Another downside to folder is
there small size can cause us to regard our attention to larger objects, causing the
possibility of forgetting the folder somewhere. Another product is named a bin. A bin
can be used to store many items and papers, although it may not
Social Issues In Superman And Me
The modern society has evolved, and it views many problems arising nowadays as
not problematic anymore. However, even though the society and the people have
got through some change, many issues concerning the social life of every person
still remain unsolved. One of such issues in the modern life is the perception of the
world through a usual prism and inability of the people to seek for other
perspectives and to recognize other lifestyles. This is attributed to the fact that people
tend to be inclined to use stereotypes and to build their perception of the world on
them. With regard to the mentioned social issues, the essay Superman and Me by
Alexie Sherman and the article On Dumpster Divingby Lars Eighner raise similar
themes and express... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The authors draw the attention of the readers to the fact that people who are not
afraid to be different are very often not recognized by the society. In the Superman
and Me the readers find an idea that If he d been anything but an Indian boy living
on the reservation, he might have been called a prodigy (Sherman 1). However,
belonging to the Indian group made the talent of the young boy unnoticed and
undervalued. The similar idea is expressed in On Dumpster Diving . The author
here mentions that the scavenging is perceived by other people as weird and dirty
undesired activity, and they usually feel pity for the people who are finding the
things for their life in dumpsters. However, Lars Eighner proves that this activity is
useful and even may sometimes bring pleasure. He mentions that he found diaries
and journals as well as books and magazines that he can read. Besides, he notes that
looking for products in the dumpster requires strong knowledge and intellect to find
the ones that would really be of some use. In depicting such a situation, the two
authors point out the narrow mindedness of the society. The problem that is raised
here is that people are accustomed to seeing the world through the lens of personal
experience and very often fail to realize the real motives and the real essence of
other people. It happens especially often when this concerns the people who differ
from others and can easily perceive their difference from the society while being
somehow better than the others
Pros And Cons Of Italian Villas
What is a villa?
Villas were originally built in the countryside. An Italian villa, a country known to
have given birth to this architectural type, is meant to be set in a rural idyll. With the
passage of time though, you have come to see this type of houses in the nooks and
corners of the city. One thing hasn t changed much though. These were meant to be a
luxury home. In the present time too, this type of house remains an ultimate luxury
statement. See some of the exquisitely designed villas (https://www.homify.sg/rooms

These keep on changing frequently. So consult with a reputed lawyer to understand
all the regulations. Showcase your buyer s intent by signing on a formal agreement
and paying 1% of the fee of the property in advance. The legal process of buying a
house or building a new one is fairly swift.
Pros cons
Owning a property in a thriving city like Singapore is always a highly advisable
step. It promises you a quality of lifestyle that you are looking forward to. Many
international companies have already set up their bases in the city. The economy of
the place is booming and the mood is upbeat. You stand to gain substantially if you
consider selling it off in the near future. However, if you are not very sure of your
plans in the near future yet, it may just be reasonable to wait and watch for some
time. For the time being, you can also buy luxury apartments in one of the posh
condominiums of the city.
Maintenance costs
The maintenance cost of the houses in Singapore is not unduly high. There are taxes
that you need to pay to the civic authorities including property taxes. But those are at
par and sometimes lower than other prominent cities of South Asia. You must,
however, take into consideration the costs involved in maintaining the health of the
premises periodically. Service charges and parking fees if you do not own a garage

Pop Culture And Gender Stereotypes
How does pop culture perpetuate gender stereotypes? Popular culture is a broad
perspective of how society is perceived today. It plays a major role especially in
our youth, paints an image of how one should look, act, or perceive the world and
their surroundings; also persuading a group of individuals into accepting and
pursuing a financial way of living. Pop cultureis involved in our everyday life
whether we are aware or not, from watching television, listening to the radio, or even
surfing the internet, it s always here. Society tends to minimize what effect Pop has
negatively. The internet, one of the most influential to keep up with Pop culture,
television shows has influenced genderstereotypes in a way that it reinforces that men
should be the dominant gender and women should dress and act a certain way to be
successful.
Popular culture inspires youth the desire to be what they see in the media. Parents
feel the need to bring up their offspring in the utmost sophisticate way, though
obliviously allowing television to develop their understanding. Filled with fairy
tales featuring Princesses, heroes, and magics, these popular mythical characters
have become a major influence on younger children especially little girls. They
imagine becoming princesses hoping that one day they will be swept away by
their Prince Charming. As they progress in age, young girls begin to watch
sitcoms portraying how they should look, feel, and dress. In today s time, popular
culture is interpellated as to how the process of growing fast is eminent. From
baby girl to princess, from a princess to a young lady; all categorized by age
groups. Male characters are often portrayed to be a prince or a hero of such. Boys
are usually identified as the prince start as an adolescence swiftly growing into a
young adult. According to Stephanie Hanes, parents are having a hard time dealing
with it, they say that things they used to do aren t working; they say they re losing
control of what happens to their girls at younger ages. (pp 511) Pop culture creates
an image of how women should resemble themselves from the beginning of
childhood to the age of accountability by means of dolls, animated characters, and
kids digital games promoting
Advantages Of Lito Laminated Carton
1. VALUE PROPOSITION
Introduction
The product that I have chosen is Litho Laminated Boxes to introduce to Lithotech as
a new product.
Litho laminated packaging is a high value product which provides maximum strength
to protect your product but also allows a consumer to brand the packaging with high
quality print quality which stands out on retail shelves. A litho laminated boxis the
same as a corrugated box which is an excellent material for shipping as it offers
excellent protection for the products. Litho laminated cartons are geared for
customers requiring higher print quality and greater strength than folding cartons. A
litho laminated carton is manufactured by mounting a board or paper to a single flute
corrugated sheet. The board ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Nature is a temple where living pillars
Let escape sometimes confused words;
Man traverses it through forests of symbols
That observe him with familiar glances.
Like long echoes that intermingle from afar
In a dark and profound unity,
Vast like the night and like the light,
The perfumes, the colours and the sounds respond.
There are perfumes fresh like the skin of infants
Sweet like oboes, green like prairies,
And others corrupted, rich and triumphant
That have the expanse of infinite things,
Like ambergris, musk, balsam and incense,
Which sing the ecstasies of the mind and senses.

eg. A certain word produces a sensation of colour, or they can be bi directional, eg.
Not only is the latter true but also a colour can produce the sensation of sound. Some
examples of two sensory synaesthesia are:
Coloured Hearing where sound evokes a sensation of colour. It has been recorded
that an opera is like experiencing a painting. Sometimes each musical instrument has
its own colour. An example of bi directional in this type of synaesthesia would be
where the changing of a traffic light evoked a bell like sound.
Coloured Olfaction where smell evokes the sensation of colour. For example the
smell of garlic may be perceived as a blaze of orange.
Coloured Gustation where taste evokes the perception of colour.
Something salty may be experienced as red, something sweet as bluish/purple. Tactile
Gustation where the taste of something is experienced as shape. Grapefruit may be a
twisted triangle, other citrus fruits may have similar triangular qualities an orange
may be an equilateral triangle. Multiple Sensory Synaesthesia
This is when three or more of the senses are crossed, and contains the most common
form of synaesthesia. Some examples of this type of synaesthesia are:
Coloured Numbers the experience of numbers that have their own colour. eg. 1 could

Vera Barantsov s Disillusionment In Russia
During the 1860 s and 1870 s Russia had a growing underground movement of young,
intelligent people growing discontent with the social and political disadvantages that
the country was going through. Many in the government, especially the Tsar
Alexander II was trying to curve revolutionary sentiment by reforming the
government and introducing new measures to improve Russian society. To many
young Russians that grew disaffected they saw the reforms as being to little too late
and that further radical action was needed. The writings of the Nihilist Girl show a
profound disillusionment in young people during the reign of Alexander II and his
reforms that also affected high class society. This disillusionment would manifest
itself in young people... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Russians that felt disaffected in their lives began to see this revolution taking
shape as something that they could join and find meaning in their lives. Her
ignorance of the real conditions of life was so great that in her imagination the
nihilist were some thing like a well organized secret society working according to a
definite plan to achieve clearly articulated goals. She had no doubt that once she
arrived to St. Petersburg, that cradle of nihilist agitation, she would immediately
enlisted into the great underground army and take up a specific post in it, however
modest it might be. The imagination that Vera and many others had about the
revolution and the cause were those of people trying to find meaning in their life
and do something productive to help the cause or whatever that may be. This goes
to show the far reaching effect many in Russian society felt. There are many
people during this time especially young Russians that don t see themselves part of
this society due to the wrongs they see in society or bitterness they feel in their
hearts. There seems to be a great disconnect with the old generation of people that
grew up with old values and when new ones are introduced and they feel dull inside
because they have no purpose or it s been taken out of them. These young people feel
dissatisfied and they need something to latch on to. The cause helps be useful and
A Comparison of Feminism in Trifles and A Jury of Her...
Feminism in Trifles and A Jury of Her Peers
As a strong feminist, Susan Glaspell wrote Trifles and then translated it to a story
called A Jury of Her Peers. These works express Glaspell s view of the way women
were treated at the turn of the century. Even though Glaspell is an acclaimed feminist,
her story does not contain the traditional feminist views of equal rights for both sexes.
The short story and the play written by Susan Glaspell are very much alike. The
story takes place in an old country town in the early 1900 s. Mr. Hale has found his
neighbor, John Wright, strangled upstairs in the Wrights house with Minnie Wright,
John s wife, sitting calmly downstairs. With John Wright dead and his wife in jail,...

A Jury of Her Peers is refers to the people who are judging Minnie Wright for her
crime. In the story, Mrs. Hale and the sheriff s wife, Mrs. Peters, are the peers whom
the author is referring to and who are judging Minnie Wright. These women know
Mrs. Wright and their views of her are altered by the fact that she is their neighbor
and also a woman. The women feel sorry for Mrs. Wright because her husband was
emotionally abusive to her. They do not pay attention to the fact that she did indeed
kill someone. If Susan Glaspell had really wanted women to be treated just like
men, she would have written the story so that Minnie Wright had a normal trial.
Minnie Wright should have gotten a trial with a jury consisting of people who did
not know her or anything about her past. To a true feminist, equal rights are very
important. A woman should be treated like a man regardless of the crimes
committed. When Minnie Wright killed her husband, the women thought that she
had a right to because she had been emotionally abused while she was married to
her husband. That does not mean that John Wright did not have a right to live. If the
roles had been reversed, and it was John Wright who killed Minnie Wright, then there
would be no question that John Wright would have been accused, prosecuted, and
convicted. People would have said that there were no excuses for what he did. Even
the men would
Russian Formalism And The Hero
The title hero has been around for a long time. There are many things that can pop
into a person s head when the word hero is said. Within Russian formalism, there is
the idea of structures and perceptions within literature. The time, place, historical
movement, and author, can change the perceptions of a novel or even how it is
written. Stories have been around since people started to communicate. Stories or
myths were used to teach lessons, for entertainment, or to keep history alive. There
have always been different types of stories that people would talk about. One type of
story that has been around for a long time is the story of heroes. The stories started
out having hidden lessons within the stories. To fully understand the archetype, or
structure, of the heroquest Russian formalismwill be discussed. With understanding
Russian formalism, it then will be connected to the hero quest structure. The hero
quest structure will then be broken down to be explained. To better understand the
hero quest the French novel, Kiffe Kiffe Tomorrow by FaГЇza GuГЁne will be
analyzed using this structure. Following the concepts of Russian formalism, novels
can be classified through the hero quest structure influencing the perceptions of the
works.
Russian formalism is a mixture of symbolism theory mixed with linguistic theory.
But, with formalism studies are more scientific and objective than that of symbolist
theory. Russian formalism is a type of literary criticism and looks at the

Economic Globalization Essay

  • 1. Economic Globalization Essay Writing an essay on the topic of economic globalization can be a challenging task that requires a thorough understanding of complex economic concepts, international relations, and the interconnectedness of global markets. The multifaceted nature of this subject demands extensive research to grasp the historical context, current trends, and potential future developments. Navigating through the vast amount of literature and data on economic globalization poses a difficulty in itself. The scholar must sift through academic articles, economic reports, and policy papers to gather relevant and credible information. Additionally, interpreting economic theories and understanding the implications of globalization on various aspects of society adds another layer of complexity. The essay should not only present a comprehensive overview of the topic but also delve into critical analysis and provide well-supported arguments. This involves examining both the positive and negative consequences of economic globalization, considering perspectives from different stakeholders, and addressing potential challenges and controversies associated with the phenomenon. Crafting a coherent and compelling narrative requires effective organization and a strong thesis statement that guides the reader through the essay's main points. Striking the right balance between depth and accessibility is essential, as the topic can easily become overwhelming with technical jargon and intricate economic theories. Moreover, articulating a personal perspective while maintaining objectivity can be a delicate task. Writers must carefully navigate the fine line between expressing their opinions and presenting a well-balanced, evidence-based argument. In conclusion, writing an essay on economic globalization demands a combination of research skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication. It is a challenging endeavor that requires dedication and a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. For those seeking assistance or looking for professionally crafted essays on similar topics, various resources are available, including online writing services likeHelpWriting.net. • 2. Sydney Carton, A Complex Character Sydney Carton, a Complex Character Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, reveals a person that is so complex that students of British Literature still have not fully understood Sydney Carton s character. Dickens introduces him to the reader as an arrogant, frustrated, no account barrister who lives through the lives of others. Yet throughout the novel one can see that he is a brilliant barrister who does not realize his worth, a man changed through love and devotion, and a self sacrificing individual. Sydney Carton is an unsubstantial social presence on the edge of groups to which he belongs, but never really a part of, and he is at home nowhere (Petch 27). This is the feeling that the reader experiences when introduced to Carton. One realizes that he does not belong. He is with everyone, and he is with no one. He sees nothing in any of his accomplishments. He is indifferent to success. He takes a back seat as the jackal, while Stryver, the lion, takes the front seat making money and winning cases. Yet, one can see that his colleague, Stryver, is nothing without him. It is Carton that finds the meaning in the statements, defines them, and, like the cunning jackal that he is, makes cases for Stryver that can be won. (28) As Dickens states, (Stryver) had not the faculty of extracting the essence from a heap of statements, which is among the most striking necessary of the advocate s accomplishments. (90) Carton does not know his worth. He spends his
  • 3. The Globalization Of The Hospitality Industry Hospitality The hospitality industry in the United States is one of the fastest growing branches of the market economy. The high growth rates of the hotel industry are caused not only by the growth of internal and external economic ties between countries, but also by the growth of foreign tourism. The modern hotel business in the US is a powerful industry, in the full sense of the word. The entire American hotel industry, in the first place, is designed for the domestic tourism market. For example, in Chicago for a year there are 33 million tourists, and only 2 million of them are foreigners. Hotel marketing and the competitiveness of the United States. The globalization and concentration of the hotel business are manifested in the creation of large corporations and hotel chains. The main trends in the development of the hotel business in the US are several factors. Development of the democratization of the hotel industry, which contributes to increasing the availability of hotel services for the mass consumers. A narrower specialization of the hotel business, which allows people more clearly focus on certain segments of consumers, taking into account various characteristics. Globalization and concentration of the hotel business, the creation of entertainment cities such as Las Vegas. Personification of service and full concentration on the needs of customers. Broad introduction of new communication and information technologies, allowing for deep and systematic economic
  • 4. The Tragedy Of Sophocles Antigone The story in Antigone shows two things that Sophocles could be pointing which is important whether may be the family or authority. Readers could not tell whether Sophocles would be choosing which but most conclude that Sophocles could be siding with family as it talks much more about it than authority. In the mind of a reader, family is mostly likely the winner as Antigonecares her brother Polyneices, Antigone denies the rule of Creon, Creon values his son and his wife, and Sophocles might be making a point when he made family important in Antigone. In the story of Sophocles, Antigone consider both Eteocles and Polyneices equally even though both were killed each other. But even so, Antigone consider them both as brothers and they are still part of the family. In the play, Antigone point out that Eteocles is being buried with honors while Polyneices isn t: Antigone. Listen, Ismene: Creon buried our brother Eteocles With military honors, gave him a soldier s funeral, And it was right that he should; but Polyneices, Who fought as bravely and died as miserable, That say that Creon has sworn No one shall bury him, no one mourn for him, But his body must lie in the fields, a sweet treasure For carrion birds to find as they search for food. That is what they say, and our good Creon is coming here To announce it publicly; and the penalty Stoning to death in the public square. There it is, And now you can prove what you are: A
  • 5. Analysis Of The Glass Castle, By Jeannette Walls Jeannette Walls s life growing up was rough. It wasn t this great adventure that her parents tried to make themselves and their kids believe it was. However, the kids did grow up independent, well rounded and educated in many areas that children might usually be sheltered from. The Glass Castle is a memoir written by Jeannette Walls about her childhood growing up with parents that lived unconventional lives chasing freedom. This book spent 261 weeks on New York Times Bestseller list which does not surprise me in the least; it was a fantastic read. First of all, I am usually not a fan of memoirs, but I enjoyed reading this one immensely. The style of writing is very descriptive, which helps the reader create an imagine in their head and feel as if they are there with the characters. I appreciate J. Walls staying objective throughout the book, she doesn t add in her opinion about what she feels was right or wrong about her childhood. As a matter of fact the tone of the book makes me feel more like she is trying to make sense of it herself by simply writing it down. The conflicting emotions I experienced while reading this book is what made it a great read. I could not help but empathise with all of the characters. The children were clearly not at fault for any of the scary and disgusting things that happened to them, yet I could not completely hate the parents either. The father s character was complex like all of the other characters in this book. His troubled past could
  • 6. Installing Your Own Hair Extensions Essays Having long, healthy hair could possibly be one of the envied genes amongst women. Many women take supplements or undergo surgery to provide them with the added confidence of having luxurious hair. Although, those methods have been proven to work, there are many other less invasive methods available for obtaining beautiful hair. The use of hair extensions have become a popular trend in today s society. Many celebrities, TV personalities and even politicians have owned up to adding a few hair extensions here and there. Hair extensions can be used to add length and volume to thin, short and receding hair. However, finding a beautician to install them can be bit pricy for the average individual. Being able to install them on your own can not... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most common method of creating a base for a whole head weave is to braid the hair in cornrows from the front to the back, while leaving out a small section at the top to cover the tracks. However, this method can not be done for a partial hair weave. To complete a partial sew in you would need to braid the area of hair that will hold the extensions in a side to side pattern. Step 2 After the base has been made, you will need to sew the remaining ends of the cornrow on to it. Start by threading the needle. You would do this by inserting the thread through the eye of the needle. Once you have that completed fold the thread in two and measure out approximately 18 inches. At the end, tie the two pieces together in a knot. Step 3 Fold the end of the braid on top of the cornrow and sew it down using a basic stitch method. Once you have reached the end of the braid you should make a knot to keep it from coming undone. Step 4 Open the pack of hair extensions and comb out any knots or tangles pay special attention to any rubber bands or pins used to keep the hair together. Step 5 Next you will have to locate the weft on the hair extension. The weft is the sturdy area at the top of the extension. This is where the hair has been looped together with thread. It resembles a seam. Step 6 Once the weft has been located, you will then need to lay the extension on top of the cornrow to measure the length of the braid. Once the length

  • 8. Effective Diets We have all heard of different types of diets in fitness magazines, weight loss books, and television commercials, but which diets have been researched and been proven to be effective for weight loss? Two of the most popular diets are a low carbohydrate diet and a low calorie diet. A low carbohydrate diet removes almost all carbohydrates from one s diet. Carbohydrates are a macronutrient that provide the body with energy. A low calorie diet lowers the amount of calories in one s diet by lowering the amount of fats and the total amount of daily calories a person takes in. Low carbohydratediets and low calorie diets are effective for weight loss but can be difficult to follow. Random, controlled studies show that both low carbohydrate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A classic example of a low calorie diet would be half a plate of vegetables, a small side of beans or rice, and a lean cut on meat like chicken or beef. So a great side effect of these diets is that a person is forced to eat healthier. Both diets are effective for weight loss but can be difficult to follow for several reasons. Both diets can be difficult to follow if a person is eating out at fast food restaurants and are not cooking their own food. Some restaurants are now trying to cater to these diets, but most are high in carbohydrates and calories. When followed correctly both diets can make most people feel fatigued and moody because the body has to use stored fat as energy. Low carbohydrate diets are more difficult to follow, because a person s insulin levels are lowered in the body. This is because of the lack of carbohydrates, which causes more food cravings and less energy. This is a good sign that the diets are working. Low calorie diets are not as difficult to follow because a person is still eating plenty of carbohydrates, which keeps their insulin levels stable. Low calorie diets are still difficult to follow because a person is still eating fewer calories than the body needs to function. So even though both diets may be difficult to follow they are both effective for weight loss. Even though there are a lot of different diets on the market,

  • 10. Greek Culture Influence Greek Culture and Influence The Ancient Greek Empire was an empire of great power and success. From the beginning of democracy to the amazing architecture of the Parthenon, the Greeks had many achievements that marked their place in history, as their technologies were very advanced for their time. Even today, Ancient Greek culture and technological advancements continue to influence our lives in aspects of government, philosophy, architecture, geometry, mythology, and sports. Although democracy can be traced back to Ancient China and Mesopotamia, the modern form that we follow today originated in Athens, Greece ( Democracy ). Democracy comes from the Greek word demokratia , which means people power. At the time, when Athens was ruled under a tyrannical dictatorship, a learned man named Cleisthenes spread the idea of people sharing power with the rulers, across Athens. The idea ... The advantages of democracy are that the people have the power to elect their rulers and representatives, who can then make wise decisions on their behalf. This promotes political stability and the evolution of societies. Today, more than 120 countries around the world have adopted democracy as their form of government. Philosophy is a subject of great wisdom and the most prominent Greek philosophers were Socrates, his student Plato,
  • 11. A Long Way From Chicago Character Analysis Stealing food and using it to feed someone is an example of what is used throughout the fictional novel, A Long Way From Chicago, copyright date 1997. Joey and Mary Alice visit Grandma Dowdel s home from Chicago every summer. Each year for seven years they learn that kindness can be shown in different ways. Similarly, Grandma Dowdel displays acts of kindness by stealing, cheating, and lying however in the end, changes the peoples lives for the better. Richard Peck uses the events of his novel, A Long Way From Chicago to convey the universal theme, kindness can be shown in many ways. The first reason that supports this theme is that Grandma Dowdel feeds Aunt Puss Chapman and the drifters even though she could have gotten arrested for catching the food illegally. The author states that the trap used to catch the fish was a fish trap. Fish traps were illegal to use but Grandma used the catfish she caught to feed Aunt Puss Chapman for supper and the drifters. She expressed her kindness through stealing. The second reason that supports this theme is that Grandma helped Vandalia and Junior Stubbs run away by making the people of the town believe something that scares them. According to the text, Joey used Grandpa Dowdel s big, old black overcoat. This meant he acted as the Phantom Brakeman, who many people in the town feared. Vandalia and Junior... According to the conductor, in order to hide his paralysis from the public, Roosevelt used a private railroad track, train car, and elevator to enter the Waldorf Astoria. Instead of routing his private railcar to Grand Central, Roosevelt used Track 61 to enter directly into the hotel. The clean up involved picking up any and all trash that was found among the shore, which included microplastics that may be buried amongst the driftwood and the more visible items. Many of the participants and faculty made the observation that the beach was littered with less large items unlike previous years, such as tires and refrigerators, but the number of microplastics and small plastic items persist. In addition, due to the overabundance of trash that ends up in the landfill yearly, 750 kg per a person during the year of 2000 (Taylor, 255), the consumption habits of people relates to the clean up because the need to consume rather than reuse is what causes so much waste. A key concept that can help reduce the amount of waste caused pollution is to follow the waste hierarchy when consuming. The waste hierarchy, as discussed by Taylor (254, 260), is looking at consumption in a cradle to cradle style rather than cradle to grave, as a means of giving products a second life through reprocessing and reuse rather than a product s use ending in a landfill. One possible solution can be found through green consumption, which relates to the prevention or reuse of products as mentioned in the waste hierarchy (Taylor, 260). If more reusable items are used this means less material will end up in the landfill, and less in the landfill means less overflow will end up in the Great Lakes. Therefore, the beach clean up related to waste and

When a student does not feel safe he or she will reflect this through his or her behavior. Trust is important for students to take risks and allow learning to occur in the classroom. Trust, safety, and consistency are beneficial in the learning environment. A classroom where students feel safe, realize the teacher is consistent, and trust is developed, will allow students to grow and change socially, emotionally, and academically. This will offer a positive learning environment. Establishing rapport with students is extremely important. Students should feel like a teacher genuinely cares about their well being. Trust is an important component of the classroom learning environment. A student should respect and trust his or her teacher and the teacher should be respectful of his or her students and their families. This will encourage a nurturing learning environment and decrease behavioral problems in the classroom. When the teacher is consistently supporting the rules, and allowing the students to feel safe in the classroom, trust begins to develop. Teachers have to work to develop trust and respect in the classroom due to the fact that children in today s world are often mistrusting because of society s messages of the world being dangerous (world view) as well as their own direct experiences (self view) with abuse, violence, and neglect. Providing a safe and secure environment enables students to explore and participate in learning. Students will volunteer answers and ask questions when they feel safe. When students feel safe they are more willing to talk about themselves to others and the teacher. Establish relationships with your students and build a sense of community within your classroom. Students need to get to know each other as well as experience the human side of their teacher. This will allow for a safe and trusting classroom environment. A positive learning environment requires consistency within the classroom and by the teacher. Rules need to be established in the classroom. Students and teachers need to understand and agree upon the rules and procedures of the classroom.

It tells the story of how the Messiah, a Hebrew word meaning the Anointed One or a prophesied perfect king; identified as Jesus, is rejected by Israel and decides to send his disciples to preach his Gospels throughout the world. The impact also extends towards the mining companies, overall labor pool and the constant threat of mine closures and job losses. Whenever there is an accident or death in a mine, companies face routine shutdowns ordered by the government for investigations, and work stoppages by union members. This causes companies to suffer huge production losses. Government and the Focus on Safety The government has adopted a strong stance on Coal Mining Safety and has extended a commitment towards increasing general safety for mineworkers. It is envisaged that greater cooperation could contribute to the safety efforts. Government continues to engage in constructive discussions to engage with both business and labour on how to improve on safety. Growth and Safety BHP Billiton had decided to expand its operations through the creation of project hubs in Toronto, Santiago, Houston, Brisbane and Perth. Responsibility for the hub establishment was given to EPMC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) contractors who developed the projects under the supervision of and on behalf of BHP Billiton. • 34. The Misanthrope Antigone Analysis Sophocles Antigone and MoliГЁre s The Misanthrope both feature protagonists who challenge the conventions of their respective societies. Antigone lays her life on the line to properly honor her fallen brother, who was ostracized from Thebes. Meanwhile, Alceste passionately expresses his disgust for the unctuous French salon culture, much to the horror of his community. Although both of these characters are typified as heroic outcasts, Antigone s role is more captivating, even bordering on exasperating at times. Antigone is structured as a series of debates, allowing Antigone s skill as a direct, powerful speaker to shine. Kreon asks her if she buried her brother and her response is: I did it. I deny nothing (541). Moreover, Antigone admits she was aware of Kreon s order, stating, I was. / I couldn t avoid it when it was made public (547 548). This simplicity adds to Antigone s appeal; she does not lie to escape her punishment nor does she muddle her purpose with a longwinded plea for forgiveness. Readers recognize that she is so faithful to her mission that she is willing to die for it, an incredible feat by their standards. They are compelled to continue their study of the novel, curious to discover if Antigone will genuinely commit to death in order to honor her values. Additionally, the morals she houses serve as a source of engagement for the audience. Kreon demands to understand why she knowingly defied his commandment, to which she replies: ...because I did not believe that Zeus was the one who had proclaimed it; neither did Justice, or the gods of the dead whom Justice lives among. (550 553) Antigone respects divine laws more than those of the land; since she believes Kreon s rule is in direct violation of the gods will for Polyneices, she ignores it. Furthermore, Antigone esteems her family more than politics. Although her brother is considered an enemy of the city, they still share the same blood, inducing her fierce affection for and loyalty to him. These are themes that readers cling to, being that they excellently represent the shared values of humankind. Most people exalt the morals of a higher power or some supernatural force over those of fallible bureaucrats. Familial bonds

Drucker states, a mission statement has to be operational, otherwise it s just good intentions (Drucker, Chapter 1). The primary focus of the mission statement is to carry out what the organization really wants to do. My task is to try and convert this mission statement into specifics so that the company stays in line with its mission statement for desired results. Drucker believes that every mission statement must include three things: opportunities, competence, and commitment (Drucker, Chapter 1). It is my duty to make sure that the mission statement reflects all three things or else the company will lose sight of its ultimate goal and purpose. In my managementrole, I must clearly define what success is for the organization. By doing this, I will be able to retain and attract quality employees. Having all departments know what the mission statement entails can help

Organelles, such as chloroplasts and mitochondria, that are currently found in eukaryotic cells are theorized to have been separate bacteria before the evolutionary success of the eukaryotic cell. Such idea is proven through the endosymbiotic theory. This concept provides an evolutionary origin for the mitochondrion and chloroplast seen in organisms of today. This theory is held together by DNAevidence found within the organelles themselves. The mitochondrion alone contain its own genome enclosed in the form of circular DNA, as well as their own ribosomes and transfer RNA. Similarly, the chloroplasts have their own genome. When compared to their bacterial ancestors, these DNA sequences resemble that of the respective organelles. The cell can now receive power generation within itself, while the mitochondria take shelter in the cell. Things have not changed since the original Doryphoros of Polykelitos and the Knidian Aphrodite of Praxiteles were created. Both were constructed during times in which statues that were commissioned and displayed to the public were awe inspiring as well as subtly influencing how the viewers see the world. These iconic statues have been analyzed by scholars for centuries, slowly picking apart every detail in an attempt to understand how the ancient Greeks constructed and controlled the behavior of citizens. In their appearance and context, the Doryphoros and Knidian Aphrodite both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Revealing Aphrodite, Nigel Spivey describes the nude Knidian Aphrodite of Praxiteles and its cultural legacy in the understanding of societal expectations of ancient Greek women. Respected women were depicted fully clothes, adorned with jewelry and sometimes presenting an offering to the gods. Only sex workers, typically slaves or the educated hetairai/courtesans, and at times certain goddesses, appeared nude in art, but these representations did not convey the same power as the Doryphoros does for men. The common theme amongst all the depictions of women in art, is the passivity of their nature. For instance, the Knidian Aphrodite catches the goddess in a moment of vulnerability. Her shoulders are hunched, hand covering her genetalia in an attempt at modesty and her passive posture does not inspire as much as the Doryphoros. The Knidian Aphrodite s body language does not yield as much power or control to onlookers as the Doryphoros, but is meant to entice and distract as women are said to do. Spivey suggests this is due to the stigma against women embodying Aphrodite, goddess of love and desire, and taking on the roles patroned by Demeter, goddess of the harvest and motherhood (Spivey, 177). The juxtaposition of these goddesses speaks to how it is up to women to, in a sense, bring themselves up by straying away

Rankine incorporates personal encounters, reactions, reflections, writing and art pieces, historical events, and the media to prove the point that racism is still very prominent to this day. For a majority of the book, Rankine writes short pieces about her personal encounters that deals with some form of racism, whether it happened to her or if she witnessed racism happening to other people. Within those short pieces, Rankine refers to herself as you, because she wants her readers to see what racism looks like in her shoes, even if the readers have not personally been affected by racism. Throughout the book, Rankine includes several symbols that are important to her that shows the audience that those symbols may be small, but they have a huge impact on how people perceive them. Rankine emphasizes the existence of the color line, the effect of a darker complexion, and a deeper anger that is being marketed towards the black culture. What is the importance of these symbols? When racism was more common in the United States, there was blunt segregation happening before people s eyes. White people lived in areas with more opportunities, and better living arrangements, whereas black people were forced to live in lesser more ghetto parts of town. One of such issues in the modern life is the perception of the world through a usual prism and inability of the people to seek for other perspectives and to recognize other lifestyles. This is attributed to the fact that people tend to be inclined to use stereotypes and to build their perception of the world on them. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The authors draw the attention of the readers to the fact that people who are not afraid to be different are very often not recognized by the society. In the Superman and Me the readers find an idea that If he d been anything but an Indian boy living on the reservation, he might have been called a prodigy (Sherman 1). However, belonging to the Indian group made the talent of the young boy unnoticed and undervalued. The similar idea is expressed in On Dumpster Diving . The author here mentions that the scavenging is perceived by other people as weird and dirty undesired activity, and they usually feel pity for the people who are finding the things for their life in dumpsters. However, Lars Eighner proves that this activity is useful and even may sometimes bring pleasure. He mentions that he found diaries and journals as well as books and magazines that he can read. Besides, he notes that looking for products in the dumpster requires strong knowledge and intellect to find the ones that would really be of some use. In depicting such a situation, the two authors point out the narrow mindedness of the society. The problem that is raised here is that people are accustomed to seeing the world through the lens of personal experience and very often fail to realize the real motives and the real essence of other people. It happens especially often when this concerns the people who differ from others and can easily perceive their difference from the society while being somehow better than the others

It plays a major role especially in our youth, paints an image of how one should look, act, or perceive the world and their surroundings; also persuading a group of individuals into accepting and pursuing a financial way of living. Pop cultureis involved in our everyday life whether we are aware or not, from watching television, listening to the radio, or even surfing the internet, it s always here.
