This is the general layout of the Adobe Premiere Pro UI (User interface). It’s where minimal
edits and the design of the sequence is made. It is also used to render the final product when
it’s complete
Here I have used a Gaussian blur to gradually blur the logo into view. I
have used key frames so it progresses out of blur slowly enough.
Once the Gaussian blur has finished and the logo is in full view, have
used a Push effect. The next clip in the sequence pushes the logo out
of the clip from left to right. This adds a nice effect to the clip.
Here I have used a cross dissolve at the end of the
sequence, this is nice as the clip being dissolved
out of is still moving as the logo fades in adding an
interesting look.
By using the effects
tab you can look
through a large
number of different
effects to find what
you want.
These two screenshots show how I have changed the volume of the music at
the end of the corporate video to make an easy fade out instead of an abrupt
stop making the video seem unprofessional.

PEER/TUTOR FEEDBACK
Discuss any feedback received here.
What amendments or changes have you made? How has this benefitted the
end result?
Through showing other producers my work, I was given a large amount of feed
back, some stating that it needed more steady shots that looked more professional
and some saying that the final product was too long and that it looks like I’ve tried
to fit in as much as possible when it’s unnecessary.
I have decided to take this feedback into play and change what I’ve been told.
Firstly I organised a day where I could reshoot footage using a slider which was
not available on the previous shoot. Using this allowed me to get a large number
of smooth professional shots that gave the Corporate video a very appealing look
similar to professionally made videos. After showing my final product I was told it
was too long so I removed a large number of clips from the video to make it
shorter in the end making it more viable and less boring as it was only showing the
key features of the hotel we were shooting.
After applying these changes finishing, the final product looked very smooth and
appealing. I have compared it to multiple existing Corporate hotel videos and have
seen the most similarities in the Delta Hotel Corporate Video on YouTube,
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z5BZ6t_cv0). This video has similar
angles the camera shoots from and similar transitions.

EVALUATION
MANAGEMENT
Critically evaluate your work in reference to professional practice.
Discuss time management, leadership skills, communications, meetings, achieving
agreed outcomes, working to agreed timescales, recommendations for future tasks
I worked in a group of three so leadership was needed as we would all want to shoot different
things at the same time. I decided to take control and select the different locations inside the
hotel we would shoot. Time wasn’t an issue in our practice, in a professional situation or scene
time is a big aspect to creating a corporate video as you are only being paid for the amount of
time you work and how good the outcome is. Having more time allows you to shoot leading to
a larger selection of footage to choose from when creating the video sequence in post-
production. Communication between the client and production team was done through Ben.
He works at the hotel we filmed for so communication was easy as he knew everyone there
and they welcomed us in. Because of the communication being so easy they allowed us full
access to the whole hotel and all it’s facilities giving us a huge area to create the corporate
video around.
Recommendations for future tasks:
For future tasks in this work area (making corporate promotional videos) I would say getting a
larger range of different techniques into the filming makes the final product more interesting.
Having the same sort of shots throughout is going to make your product boring and less eye
catching than ones with more techniques.
Another recommendations is to add in graphics (names, locations and facilities), this adds in
more to the video making the audience interest by reading what's on the screen whilst
watching
CONSTRAINTS
Critically evaluate any constraints
It could be legal, regulatory, or financial. It could be resources (time, budget,
personnel)
Legal constraints weren't something we needed to fully worry about as we were given
full permission to film inside the hotel freely. The only legal issue that we would have
had was filming guests or customers at the hotel. We were told not to film anyone
without their permission which was pretty easy as there wasn’t many people inside the
hotel at the time of us shooting. Other issues like filming staff was fine. Regulatory
issues relate to how much time we spent filming, we were given the freedom to film on
any day we wanted so this wasn’t an issue but on some days not all of the rooms were
available as we didn’t always let the client know when we were going to film. Time given
by college was an issue as we were only given a set amount of time to film and edit the
products, this meant that we needed to stick to the schedule we had made in the
planning document. Financial constraints include fuel, food and the hotel leaving
empty/un-booked rooms just so we could film. This wasn’t too much of a problem for us
as producers as fuel and food costs would have taken place anyway but might have
been a problem for the hotel as they would have lost money on leaving rooms free
instead of filling them with potential customers. Knowing this could be a financial issue
for the client we made sure to film as much as we could on our first two visits to the
hotel to avoid this problem.
FINAL PRODUCT
Critically evaluate the final piece.
Has it been produced to professional standard (technical and aesthetic
standards), fitness for purpose? Realisation against proposal. Ensure to compare
against other products.
After evaluating existing products previously before creating my own corporate video. I
have implemented a large some of techniques and ideas into my own work. This has
made the final product look professional and appealing on par with existing products.
After giving the Hotel the final product they have decided to use it on their TV screens
throughout the hotel on loops with other existing products made by other clients. This
product https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR0v-v3_KQc, is an existing hotel corporate
video based in central India, I have compare the techniques used in the video and how
they’ve created their sequence to mine and have figured out that it is very similar in the
standard made but they have more content in the video as the hotel they shot is bigger
and has far more facilities which will be more eye catching the a viewer when booking a
hotel. Overall from watching and comparing multiple different corporate videos to mine, I
have found that the technical aspects are very similar. The way the camera is used and
how it captured footage was basically the same as the professional videos. The
aesthetic side was also similar in most shots, some weren’t that aesthetically pleasing
but they were still needed to make sure all of the facilities were shown.
