Abstract— The aim of this study was to characterize the carbon storage - Ec (Mg ha-1), carbon stratification ratio, carbon management index (CMI) in various systems use and management: a) Native forest (NF), b) improved pasture of Tanzania grass (TIP), c) degraded pasture of Tanzania grass (DP), d) hay area (H) with Urochloa (syn. Brachiaria sp) and e) Corn crop conventionally cultivated for 10 years (CTC). The experiment was conducted at Institute of Animal Science, at Sertaozinho, São Paulo State, Brazil. The experimental design was randomized blocks with six replicates. The Ec, in Mg ha-1, adjusted variations in soil density, related to changes in land use were for native forest (112.9), improved pasture (81.6), system of conventional maize (78.2), field of hay (75.1) and degraded pasture (66.5). The highest values of carbon stratification (SR) were the forest (1.98), and lower in degraded pasture and conventional maize (1.10) - are considered poor in quality, while the improved pasture (1.28) and the area of hay (1.23 ) of media quality and while the forest considered great quality. For the different systems of use and management, low CMI values indicate a loss of soil quality related to native forest (100%), the values obtained in improved pasture (58%) indicate that there is potential for advances in the soil quality, adjusting grazing management and fertilization of annual replacement. Jute geotextile (JGT) can certainly be considered as a potential aspirant replacing majority of today’s popular synthetic products which are posing severe threats to our environment thereby adversely affecting the eco-congruity. For sustainable socio-economic development, applications and usable area of jute geotextile are in increasing trend. There is a wide scope for innovative and prospective use of jute geotextile followed by the design and engineering of the products, oriented as per the end-user requirements for different geotechnical applications. This will open up newer avenues for Jute, not only as a technical textile, but for the entire Jute Sector as it is environment friendly and its application is effective for protecting environmental degradation. Therefore, keeping in mind about the potential candidature of jute geotextile this paper has substantiated a detailed review on jute geotextile-its designing and manufacturing along with its characteristic features, end-use specific applications, advantages and eventually its techno-economic viability. Abstract Geotextiles have proven to be the most versatile and cost effective ground modification materials. Their use has extended rapidly into nearly all areas of civil, geotechnical, environmental, coastal and hydraulic engineering. They form the major component of the field of Geosynthetics, the others being geogrids, geomembranes and geocomposites. One of the growing alternatives in today’s context, with respect to growing environmental concern and carbon foot print generation, is the emergence of technical textiles made out of natural fibres which includes geotextile products for geotechnical applications, agrotextile products as well as other such relevant areas. Jute geotextile (JGT) can certainly be considered as a potential aspirant replacing majority of today’s popular synthetic products which are posing severe threats to our environment thereby adversely affecting the eco-congruity. For sustainable socio-economic development, applications and usable area of jute geotextile are in increasing trend. There is a wide scope for innovative and prospective use of jute geotextile followed by the design and engineering of the products, oriented as per the end-user requirements for different geotechnical applications. This will open up newer avenues for Jute, not only as a technical textile, but for the entire Jute Sector as it is environment friendly and its application is effective for protecting environmental degradation. Therefore, keeping in mind about the potential candidature of jute geotextile this paper has substantiated a detailed review on jute geotextile-its designing and manufacturing along with its characteristic features, end-use specific applications, advantages and eventually its techno-economic viability. This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover

Collect all dry cut grass, twigs, crop residue etc. From around the farm 2. Lay this trash along the contour lines in 1m or 2m wide strips
- 4. Career Point Cares Note: Trash lines can be very effective in low-rainfall areas where the slope gradient is low and the land is almost flat. One big advantage is that trash lines can easily be moved if you need to change the lay-out of fields or if pegging was not done properly. Compared to the conservation works (which require digging) this is a big advantage.
- 5. Career Point Cares Stone lines: Where there are plenty of stones in the field, they can be moved and arranged in lines along the contour. Like trash lines, stone lines are permeable Procedure: 1. Prepare a shallow drain or trench, 10-15 cm deep and about 30-40 cm wide, by digging along the contour line. 2. Place larger stones at the bottom of the trench as a foundation. 3. Place smaller stones on top to a height of 25-30 cm.
