performed during Christmas and Easter for the congregation. I feel that this experience has helped me
gain connections within the community, experience with a hand bell choir and programming music for
the weekly worship program. The music that the choir performed weekly we learned Sunday morning
before church. This helped my sight reading skills as well. I have been involved in music all my life. I
was a member of the Columbus Children s Choir for six years. While in this choir I toured both
Canada and Europe performing in the ensemble. In high school I received superior ratings in both
band and choir, as well as class A solos for four years. The four years I was in college I was also in
numerous collegiate ensembles. I have received private voice lessons for twelve
