LIS 600 Artifacts Paper
List of Artifacts
In LIS 600 students evaluate democratic principles, major information policies, ethical policies,
and the role information agencies play in preserving information. In the paper the student
determines the role of librarians in the implementation of policy and the role of continuing
education no user relations. The instructor describes my paper as excellent research and smart
thoughts. I earned a B for the paper. The final exam is a culmination of knowledge and discussion
of ethical policies, evolution of policies, and education of librarians. These topics provide a
knowledge base for anyone entering the library profession. The understating of policy also
intertwines with other coursework such as the strategic plan. One cannot create a strategic plan
without understanding information policies. I received a letter grade of A for the final exam.
Instructor comments for the exam include a job well done. These artifacts for LIS 600 build a
foundation of library profession providing the theories for future librarian and library development.
In LIS 601 students write a Community Resources Audit. The audit asses the needs of a particular
community and develops strategies for best serving the patrons of that community. I focused on
how the library could best serve international and English as a Second Language (ESL) students. ...

Effects Of Artificial Gravity
Artificial gravity is an application of force, resulting from acceleration, that creates a sense of
gravity. It is often used in space to counteract the effects of weightlessness in astronauts.
Artificial gravity can be created in many ways; for example, centripetal force, a force that makes
a body follow a curved path, can cause artificial gravity. If a spaceship was to rotate from its
center, the force of rotation would push the astronaut in the opposite direction, causing the
astronaut to experience an outwards force similar to gravity on Earth. The gravity can be
calculated by using the radius between the center of rotation to the astronaut. The larger the
radius, the larger the force, or artificial gravity, the astronaut would experience. Think of it as
spinning on one of the spinning seats often found on playgrounds. The farther you lean your
body out of the seat (increasing your radius from the center), the larger force you feel and the
more likely you are to fly off. In addition, there are many reasons why astronauts need the sense
of artificial gravity. The main reason would be the person s health. Humans have evolved to live
on the earth, with a presence of gravity; once that presence is gone, the human body can
experience several different effects. For example, muscle and skeleton deterioration can occur.
When floating in space, an astronaut does not use their body s muscles like on earth; they don t put
the same stresses on their back muscles, or their knee

The Gilded Age And The Progressive Era
The progressive era was a period of time of widespread social activism and political reform across
the united states. It started in 1890 s and ended in the 1920 s really not that long ago. The purpose
of this to eliminate problems that were caused by industrialization, urbanization, immigration, and
corruption in the government. The gilded agewas the time between the civil war and world war 1.
The population had grown in the U.S as well as the economy as that started to happen political
corruption and corporate financial. Gilded age and Progressive Eramay seem similar in some way
based off their definition but they are basically opposites. Keep on reading and you ll see how they
differ from.
Monopolies vs. breaking up monopolies
The Gilded age were more focused on monopolies and the progressive era was more into breaking
up monopolies.Monopolies are complete control over a product or a service. The Gilded age were
with the monopolies because it was beneficial to the economy. The government gained new
technologies and better transportation from monopolies. The monopolies were not beneficial to the
government because it hurt consumers because it wasn t any competition. The government then
passed a law to stop monopolies. The progressive Era was more into that because they didn t want
monopolies they were more into regulating railroads and industrial things.
Working condition vs. Workplace safety
The progressive wanted safe working conditions on the other hand the gilded age

ACU Paramedic
Assessment 1 Written Assignment: Part B A major component of the care Paramedics provide is
the assessment of a patient s physical status, which is the ground for any further treatment. The
assessment method that an Advanced Care Paramedic follows is a systematic assessment referred
to as the Primary Survey. The aim of this fundamental assessment is to give an initial diagnosis of
the patient as well as identifying any imminent threats to the patient. This assessment is used so
that a Paramedic can decide how to treat the patient while staying within the boundaries of their
scope of practice. Throughout this essay the concept of a primary survey within the scope of
practice of an Advanced Care Paramedic will be understood. Additionally... Show more content on

The pulse is an indication of an individual s heart rate. When checking for a pulse in the primary
survey, begin with palpating the patient s radial or carotid artery (Basic Patient Care 2012, p.
50). This may reveal a normal (60 100 beats/min), tachycardia ( 100 beats/min), bradycardia ( 60
beats/min) or asystole heart rate. Additionally, the capillary refill may also provide details about
a patient s cardiovascular status. This is performed by applying pressure to the nail bed and
calculating the time it to takes to refill to a normal color, which should take no more then a few
seconds otherwise suggesting capillary closure (Mick J Sanders, 2012, p. 1400). An additional
accessory to Circulation is Hemorrhages, these involve more through examinations of the pulse,
blood pressure and warmth of peripheries of patients. Additionally, you must thoroughly look for
indication of bleeding, specifically in the areas around the chest, abdomen and externally seen by
the eye. Upon finishing the danger, response and circulation components of the primary survey the
next step is the assessment and maintenance of a patient s airway. This is a crucial stage as a clear
airway allows for air to move in and out of the lungs (Primary Survey Airway Evaluation, 2015).
Patients in particular may have less ability to maintain their airway, including the tongue, or liquids

Emily Dickinson Death
The poem Because I could not stop for Death (479) by Emily Dickinson describes author s
concept of the last seconds of a life as well as her concept of the death. The poem follows a
comparatively simple ABCB rhyme scheme, which indicates that the poetess s goal is not to
exercise her writing skills, but to reflect her opinion. By this poem Emily Dickinsonpresents a new
way of thinking about the death. The speaker of the poem, assumingly a female, does not expect
her own death her life is so active and busy that she does not have time to think about dying.
However, the death is inevitable, thus when the time comes, her Death arrives. The death is
personified as a man that takes the speaker for a ride across her life. As the speaker enters... Show

Latin Language In The Latin Language
The Latin language was originally spoken in small groups along the Tiber River, but spread with
the increase of Roman political power. It first spread throughout Italy and most of western and
southern Europe, along with central and western Mediterranean coastal regions of Africa. Today s
romance languages developed from spoken Latinof various parts of the Roman Empire. From the
middle ages to comparatively recent times, Latin was the most common used language in the West
for scholarly and literary purposes (Posner and Sala).
Until the latter of the 20th century, Latin s use was required in the liturgy of the Roman Catholic
Church. During the Classical Period, there were three types of Latin in use: Classical written,
Classical oratorical, and ordinary colloquial Latin, which was used by the average speaker of the
language. Spoken Latin continued to break off from normal grammar, pronunciation, and
vocabulary. During Classical and immediate Post Classical periods, there were many inscriptions
that proved spoked Latin, but after 3rd century CE, many texts were written in Vulgar Latin.
However, in Early 4th and 5th centuries, St. Jerome and St. Augustine wrote good literary Late
Latin. The Latin language continued to evolve in two ways: the basis of local spoken forms
morphed into Romance Languages, and it was continued in a standardized
Dendy 2 form throughout the Middle Ages as a language of religion and scholarship. Imitation
of Classical and Post Classical models continued into the 6th century. There was also continuity
of literary tradition, even after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Research in the late 20th
century suggested that Romanization was more widespread and only the scholarly men were
imbued with Roman Values. Because Latin died out in Britain, it is believed that the language
was only used by the elite. Some believe that the language died out because of the genocide of
the Roman British, and evolution of the Anglo Saxon and Romano Celtic into the new society
(Posner and Sala). Ken Black believes that Latin is dead. He states that since Latin is no longer
used on a daily basis outside of a religious setting and is no longer used as one s native tongue, it is
no longer considered a

John Smith believed that success in such adventures requires individual initiative and commitment.
His journey began working with his dad in his shop up until the age of 16. After his father had
passed, he attempted to run it on his own, but that didn t last long; so he joined the French Army.
After a while he started exploring the new world which included Virginia, New England and
Summer Isles. Smith had a very prestigious and independent outlook on life and throughout his
journey it had brought him misfortune for much of his explorations, but with the misfortune came a
bundles of successes. One incident which played a significant role in his journey was being

With this temporary place called home, brought along a bundle of problems. The Natives, who
originally possessed the land, were very hostile towards the new comers in the beginning, but after
a while Smith organized the settlers to where they could defend their selves from them once he

in chaos. Despite the chaotic environment Smith took control of Jamestown s defense. Under his
command, the fort was strengthened and armed guards were put into place to watch over the
settlement. Throughout Smiths efforts, it took a long time before the new colony could stand up
on its own. He had to repeatedly trade with the Natives for resources but in the end, without his
strong leadership, Jamestown would ve been lost. Today s new age practices is very similar to

Promotional Strategy Suggestions for Exercise Equipment...
Promotional Strategy Suggestions for Exercise Equipment and Breakfast Cereal
For any product to be sold successfully, especially to the mass market, the firm selling the product
will need to be marketed with a promotion. Promotion is one of the four elements of the marketing
mix, referring to the way in which a product is promoted this is more than just advertising, it
includes public relations, endorsement and any activity which will help to increase awareness of
the product and support the development of sales (Hooley et al, 2007). Promotional strategies are
required in order to create awareness in the potential target market regarding the product, and to
help stimulate sales by influencing the decision making process (Kotler and Keller, 2011). In order
to demonstrate the application of promotion strategies to different products can be examined, with
promotional strategies those products suggested. The two products are exercise equipment and
breakfast cereals.
Exercise Equipment
Designing a commercial strategy to exercise equipment requires the marketer to identify the
message that will suitably communicate not only the purpose and function of the product being
sold, but why and how it will satisfy needs of the consumer. Kotler and Keller (2011) argue that
people do not buy products; they buy the benefits that are provided by the product. For example,
when purchasing a bed the buyer is purchasing the ability to get a good night s sleep, when a
consumer purchases a

Tai Chi Flexibility Exercise
The Effects of a Tai Chi Exercise Program on Static Postural Balance, Flexibility, and Lower Limb
Strength

decreased muscular strength, flexibility, and coordination (Yu and Yang, 2012). This loss of
muscular strength and flexibility in seniors is thought to be due to a lack of exercise
(Saravanakumar et al., 2014). One popular form of exercise among seniors is Tai Chi because it
is a positive method for improving balance and flexibility; which can reduce the occurrence of
falling in the elderly (Yu and Yang, 2012). The flowing, meditative movements performed during

The coastal environment I have decided to talk about today is Ningaloo Reef. The reef is on the
remote western coast of Australia, it includes one of the longest nearshore reefs in the world.
Temperate and tropical currents converge in the Ningaloo region resulting in highly diverse marine
life including spectacular coral reefs, abundant fishes and species with special conservation
significance such as turtles, whale sharks, dugongs, whales and dolphins.

The reefs latitude ranges from 21В°42 14 S 24В° 1 52 S (one of the highest for reefs) and the
longitude is between 113В°25 E 114В° 15. The Ningaloo Reef stretches over 300 km from North
West Cape to Red Bluff, is located in the Ningaloo Marine Bioregion and is the largest fringing
coral reef in Australia, the reef is enclosed within the Ningaloo Marine Park, listed on the World

Critical Thinking Essay
INTRODUCTION Critical thinking has been defined in great depth over thousands of years yet
comparison of many of these definitions show the emphasis alters between what characteristic is
deemed most important for each individual. However the definition alters, the same three important
principles are always included: scepticism, open mindedness and objectivity. It is important for
each individual to conclude his or her own definition of critical thinking to enable a specific
authenticity that equates to an individuals academic work. This essay will show that while the true
meaning of critical thinking doesn t change, adapting a personal definition is vital for success in
higher education and life skills. CRITICAL THINKING... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each individual revisiting the definition of critical thinking draws from varied areas of importance
in order to validate in turn, their individual work. There are three important principles that underpin
critical thinking: scepticism, open mindedness and objectivity. Each principle is important in its
own right yet is required to work conjointly to achieve a logical, balanced argument. Scepticism is
required to authenticate relevant evidence and validate the source, it should never be assumed that
a person of authority has delivered the information in print.(Burton 2006:45) Open mindedness is
remaining impartial and being prepared to accept evidence which conflicts with personal beliefs
while considering all opinions.(Burton 2006 45 46) Objectivity is perceiving the argument while
disregarding all emotional responses. STRATEGIES FOR CRITICAL THINKING Students need to
have specific strategies when they undertake a critical thinking approach to reading information
sources and writing answers to essay questions. The main strategies are to determine the validity of
sources information, to identify fact and opinion, to uncover persuasive techniques of the writer,
and to detect bias or prejudice. One important critical thinking strategy to develop in order to
maintain academic integrity, is determining the validity of sources of information. Investigating the

NASA Budget Analysis
Using the NASA budget provided and my job of using the best materials and keeping the
expenses low for a design for a lander, I finally came down to a design. My design choices
include a parachute of 100 m. This includes having a surface area large enough that it can
produce air friction. A safety cage of a cubic capsule in where the egg has four surfaced sides in
which it can land on. Also , includes a crumple zone that has rigid lander legs .This will give a
medium rigidity where it can withstand the impact of the forceacting against it but doesn t stay
rigid in where the legs cannot be used as a crumple zone . This design can offer a safe landing on

The safety has to have a capsule that keeps everything secure inside it safe in the time of impact.
This is the reason on to why I chose a cubic capsule because, I know that in the area inside there
would be an even amount of space and have an equal amount of space , not only that but as the
space lander lands it will be easier for the object to land with the parachute with a shape that has
even surfaces on four sides in case if it lands on either sides of the surfaces .The object that I
chose to use for the safety capsule is the aluminum alloy . I chose this material because not only
was the weight low but also the cost was at a medium . Although, we know that the tensile strength
is only at 300 we know that if more air friction is added to the space lander it is going to have less
force applied to it as the falling is happening meaning the strength of the tensile is okay to not be
too rigid . The price of the material is also at a very cheap price we know that NASA is to cut
cost , mass , and risk This is matching characteristics and with the low cost of the other products
included in the space lander having a medium cost is not going to have a large effect on the total

Integrative Bargains On Climate Change
Integrative Bargains on Climate Change Amr Morgan BUAD 656 9/30/2015 Integrative
Bargains on Climate Change Undesired climatic change necessitates the need to look for
solutions to curb the trend through planetary scale interventions. However, the major challenge
is the lack of integrated, top down bargaining strategies. To deal with this challenge, the U.S. has
resulted to the use of new bottom up methods such as building blocks and climate clubs to
coordinate national climate change policies (Victor Sabel, 2015). The bottom up approach has
great uncertainty because of the feasibility and cost of implementation of various projects.
However, the approach can work smoothly with the support of various institutions that promote
joint exploration of possible solutions by public and private actors along scaling up of successes.
To make a substantive and significant deal on climate change, there is a need to integrate various
parties that focus on the issue. United Nations (UN) is one of the leading parties in the world that
make fundamental and major deals on climate change. United Nations Framework Convention on
Climate Change (UNFCCC) is the UN s arm that carries out climate change negotiations. The

Man was required to forgive, but evil was ever present (Ms. Herrera notes) and Man was to live
in hope of eternal salvation, but he may not be predetermined by God. (Ms. Herrera notes).
These are some beliefs for all the people that are living with The Puritans. The beliefs of Puritans
were something too challenging. The puritans have other religious ideas has Life is a test :
winners go to Heaven; losers go to hell! (Ms. Herrera notes). The Puritans were too strict about
the idea of this and that a person or somebody would communicate with the evil or do something
that is not good for the society would go to hell and be punished for his entire life and the soul of
the person would be cursed to be on hell and feel so sorry about himself/herself. Therefore, how did
religion affected the Puritan community? The community before the Puritans came to North
America in 1600 s the community was really calm and the people were Christians. But then The
Puritans changed a lot the community has rules, policies, religion and beliefs.

women. However, this broad approach often leaves out marginalized women, such as women of
color, poor women, trans women, queer women, and immigrant women, who experience wage
inequality at disproportionately higher rates than women who are not marginalized in these ways.
The same lack of intersectional focus colors discussions of sex work, which typically promote a
victim/empowered woman dichotomy that fails to account for the nuanced factors in place
affecting women of color, trans women, and immigrant women. While it is important that feminist...

This paper will refer to both domestic labor and women s labor in similar respects, but the two are
not necessarily interchangeable. The use of the phrase domestic labor refers to work done within
the home, particularly childcare, elderly care, and the upkeep of the household. The term women
s work or women s labor encompasses domestic labor, but not all women s labor is necessarily
domestic. In her chapter Industrialization, Wage Labor, and the Economic Gender Gap , Estelle
Freedman describes historically feminized fields of work that include other types of labor, such as
industrial work in textile mills, retail, clerical, and teaching jobs. When referring to sex work, Laura
Agustin uses the term in Migrants in the Mistress s House to encompass everything from
prostitution, sexual services in bars, clubs, and flats, erotic phone sex, peep shows, massage
parlors, and lap dancing (110). However, she often does not differentiate between sex work and
domestic work because migrants often move between these sectors or work in two at once, and
because a separation into two groups reproduces a scheme of good versus bad girls (97). For the
sake of clarity, however, this paper will differentiate between traditional women s labor

Michelangelo Sistine Chapel Ceiling
The Sistine Chapel ceiling is one of my favorite paintings by Michelangelo. It took him four
years to complete it. What I love about it is that he took the Bible stories and painted them onto
the ceiling. Each paint has its own story, and that can speak louder than works at times. As it tells
a story, it also tells us a little bit of what his beliefs are.
The Bible starts by telling us about Adam and Eve. How Eve took the fruit from the snake and gave
it to Adam and then they were ban from the Garden. You will notice a part of the ceiling has that
story painted. He has a man and a woman near the tree of knowledge. She has her hand out to take
it from the snake/man. Just one the other side of the tree it shows them being drove away by an

Norman Borlaug Research Paper
Rising at dawn in northern Mexico, Norman Borlaug wriggled from his sleeping bag. Rats had
run over him all night, and he was cold. In a corner of the dilapidated research station where he
had tried to sleep, he found a rusting plough. He took it outside, strapped the harness to himself,
and furiously and crazily began in front of a group of astonished peasants, to plough the land (
Norman Borlaug, feeder of the world, died on September 12th, aged 95 ). This was only the
beginning for Norman Borlaug, who dreamt of a world without hunger, only death would stop him
from achieving his dream. His work is so widespread that Gary Toenniessen, the director of

Through the application of his work, Norman Borlaug has saved hundreds of millions of lives
from starvation, more lives than any other person in history (Heam). The results of the
implementation of his technology today have made it so that no country has been able to
manage a sustainable transition from poverty without increasing agricultural productivity as
well as production (Heam). His work directly led to the entrance of less developed countries into
the global market, evident in his work in Mexico, India, and China, and this work fueled
research for the development of other GMOs that directly provided people in developing
countries with food. Norman Borlaug was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970 for his work
in implementing genetically modified crops into starving regions. This implementation of his
work in developing regions allowed for a sustainable food source, reducing competition for food.
Providing a sustainable food source also allowed for the decrease in the average family size,
since families in developing regions no longer needed to have a large family to maintain fields.
This also allowed many countries to move away from subsistence farming, limiting the number of
people required to feed growing countries. As Norman Borlaug once said It was impossible to build

Hindu Nationalism And Its Impact On India
of India, due to which it remained marginalized as an electoral post (not social post) for a while.
The primary support of Hindu Nationalism comes from the Northern and Western parts of India.
Being a center right movement, it is seen to have major differences with Congress. They are
driven by ideology and faith, and are traditionally conservatives. It is seen that they are able to
mobilize a large section of the population who trust leaders and parties that use religion as a
mobilizing factor. Indiabeing a Hindu majority country, has a large Hindu religious voter base and
the BJP over the year have been able to mobilize on this portion of the population who are driven
by the idea of Hindu nationalism. It is important to remember that even though the Hindu
nationalism movement was marginalized electorally during the early years after the
Independence, it remained strong and influential throughout society and over there years
gradually gained support and electoral posts in Indian politics. The BJP is a party of the strong,
meaning that it is an organization run by the educated upper class and is backed by political and
economic elites. It follows a dual targeting voter strategy, in which the Party politics takes care of
the interests of the upper class (consisting of business and political elites), and then there are social
organizations in place that do charity and other social work that takes care of the poor. The BJP as
a party has an organization centric party structure.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Sharing System
The development situation of sharing system
Sharing system ,which was a brand new concept appeard in 2015 has already become a
fashionable life style. Most people, especially those in first tier cities may have an intensive
feeling that sharing system brings too much conveniece and low cost for their daily life, such as
shared bicycles.Besides, not only shared bicycles, but some other forms has begun to arise. For
example, because of the difficuty for finding a fixed parking lot and the high cost of parking cars,an
application named Searching for Parking Spaces or in Chinese Zhao Che Wei was developed by a
science and technology compony, this APP can help people find a shareable parking spaceby

traditional vehicles. For example, driving is a common way people choose to travel, but as a
matter of fact, traffic jam and road accidents are become two mean reasons that people refuse to
use cars. So for these people, shared bicycles are the best choices. Secondly, the sharing economy
depends on Internet techonology which has a high speed development because all of the sharing

I chose to write about Mr. Gates because he is a programming genius, and through his programming

would cram for tests, and pass with a decent grade. In December of 1974, Allen and Gates took a
chance on an opportunity regarding the Altair 8800. They called the manufacture, MITS, in
Albuquerque, NM telling them they had written a version of the popular computer language
BASIC for the Altair, so the president asked to see the version they had written, but they had not
written anything yet. So, Gates and Allen, began working day and night in Harvard s computer lab.
Since they had not Altair to work on they had to run simulations on other computers. Without
knowing if the program would work, Allen traveled to Albuquerque to test the program on the
Altair, and it worked. Once this happened, Gates decided to drop out of Harvard and move to
Albuquerque with Allen. This is where they officially established Microsoft. Shortly thereafter,
MITS collapsed. This did not affect Gates or Allen, as they were already writing software for other

Saturn Devouring His Son Research Paper
The Myth of Saturn Devouring His Son
The myth of Saturn devouring his son is a dark, morbid, and ghoulish story. The Greek Titan,
Saturn overthrew is father and married the goddess of fertility. Saturn then learned of a prophecy
that one of his sons would overthrow him like he did his father. He then became obsessed with
thwarting the prophecy. At the birth of each child, Saturn would devour the infant. Saturn s wife
hid their last child, Zeus, whom fully grown, fulfilled the prophecy and became ruler of the
Olympians. There are rumors that Saturn would get sexual pleasure out of consuming his children
but that has never been confirmed. Many artists over the years have painted this myth, putting their
own creative twist on it. Two very well known artists who drew inspiration from the myth are
Francisco Goya with his work Saturn Devouring His Son (1819 1823) and Peter Paul Rubens Title

dark background. Saturn is holding a long metal tool that looks like a royal staff and like the

The child in his arms has his head thrown back screaming and the audience can see the horrified
look on his face. Saturn s head is down with a look of determination as he tears his son s flesh.
Rubens paints the flesh being torn off the child, and the viewer s eye is drawn directly there.
Rubens highlights this horrible act of cannibalism with realistic looking figures, and Saturn s total
lack of remorse helps us see how evil his act is. Saturn appears to be in control of the situation,

Resilience Is An Aspect Of Health
Resilience in People Approaching the End of Their Lives
Introduction
Resilience reflects the ability of someone to maintain a stable equilibrium(1), that is to retain a
sense of identity or self(2), when dealing with adversity or misfortune. Highly resilient individuals
are capable of coping with unexpected challenges, and may have a number of mechanisms or
strategies to help them do so. Resilience is an aspect of health that is becoming increasingly
recognised in medicine(3), as having resilience enables self care and self healing, which is
beneficial in multiple ways. By being actively involved in his or her own wellbeing, a patient is
likely to have better outcomes(3). In addition, healthcare resources are conserved, allowing
them to be used to help a patient with less resilience. Although the importance of resilience in
carers of the ill cannot be understated, in this essay I will primarily focus on resilience in
patients approaching end of life, as there is a great deal for them to go through, all the way from
diagnosis to death. The concept of resilience itself is something we are all familiar with in one
way or another. I experienced seeing resilience being tested firsthand from watching my parents
deal with my father s cancer diagnosis, treatment and eventual passing all in the span of just over
a year. On one of my GP home visits I was quite affected by talking to Mr A, an elderly man with
COPD who was living with his wife, who had dementia. I will look at the

Characteristics Of Gifted And Gifted
Gifted and Talented: A Gift and a Curse
Although being gifted and talented (GT) is not thought of as a disability, it presents its own set of
difficulties. It is difficult to estimate the absolute number of gifted children because the calculation
depends on the various criteria and methods used to identify gifted children. Also, due to the nature
of begin gifted and talented, common characteristics can be misleading.
The Gifted and Talented Student
A student who gets good grades, behaves well, and excels above the academic average has in the
past been considered gifted. The student who does not perform at this level is less likely to be
identified and less likely to receive assistance. The term gifted was limited to academic
achievement. In today s society this definition has changed because giftedness spans to more than
one area of development and achievement (Turnbull, Turnbull, Wehmeyer, Shogren, 2013).
Developmental Profile
There is no single indicator of giftedness. GT students are generally considered to have an IQ
greater than 125 and/or show evidence of a high performance capability in areas such as
intellectual, creative, specific academic, or leadership ability, or in the performing and visual arts
(Turnbull et al., 2013).
Characteristics/Classification
The classification of gifted and talented students is easier to define than their characteristics. The
intellectual classification of GT students is; baseline GT IQ between 125 130, moderately GT IQ

Dickinson s I dreaded that first robin so Essay
Dickinson s poetry has been interpreted a number of different ways. To some she may come
across suicidal, to others depressed, or even philosophical to a number of readers. In her poem
number 347 her depression and feelings of inadequacy are clear. In this poem Dickinson is a diva
and is like any other person, scared of change; feelings that people typically get over quickly.
Dickinson is being drama queen by explaining and lingering upon her depression and feelings of
inadequacy by comparing herself unreasonably to and transcending the beautiful structures involved
with spring through her uses of allusion, symbolism, and personification. Dickinson shows how she

The grass is given the human characteristics of height and growth. She gives the grass these
qualities in order to make it seem like the grass is guarding her from everything else in the world.
Dickinson feels so inadequate that she must hide behind a sizable wall of grass in order that the
rest of the structures associated with spring would not come and see her. She assumes that the
bees, flowers and birds are all too beautiful to be associated with her and so she must remain
incognito and enshrouded by the grass. Her feelings are unreasonable as the structures that are all
associated with spring are some of the most beautiful in nature, therefore her comparisons and
attempts to transcend the beauty involved with nature is illogical. Dickinson tries to transcend
and compare herself to the nature around her but it is not a reasonable structure to transcend and
so she feels inadequate and decides to remain clandestine behind a wall of grass. Dickinson also
uses the symbolism of spring to show her unreasonable feelings of inadequacy by comparing
herself to and attempting to transcend it. Spring is typically seen as a time of renewal and
renaissance because it is the avenue to summer where nature is full of life and growing after the
winter. Thus spring symbolizes new birth and beauty. Dickinson feels that she cannot face spring
because it is too beautiful and fruitful a season for her. Compared to the season of spring and all it
entails she feels unattractive and

Brokeback Mountain Analysis
Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx is a heart wrenching short story written with an intimate
style that evokes clear imagery in the mind of the reader. Although, only 28 pages in length the
short story offered Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana source material that had potential to be
expanded and to build upon the already created Midwestern reality. One of the elements altered
for the screenplay from the short story is the perspective; which follows the main character,
Ennis Del Mar over the course of twenty years. Although, not told through Ennis eyes exactly, the
reader is given access to his emotional state; meaning his thoughts and feelings are explained
more so than any other character. For example: He had no serious hard feelings, just a vague
sense of getting shortchanged, and showed it was all right by taking Thanksgiving dinner with
Alma and her grocer and the kids, sitting between his girls and talking horses to them, , telling
jokes, trying not to be a sad daddy. (pg. 16) The screenplay shares a similar perspective, but
expands the view to include Jack Twist, moving between the lives of both men throughout the
years. However, the screenplay stays true to the source material by paying more attention to the
original main character, Ennis. Another element that is changed from the short story to the
screenplay is the expansion or flushing out of characters. In Proulx s story, characters other than
Ennis and Jack are mostly referred to, or given glimpses of.

The Effects Of Distributing Thalidomide On The Late 1950s
A little white pill, sold as an over the counter drug, lined the shelves of pharmacies across the globe.
Originating from the German drug company, Chemie GrГјtinethal, this pill was advertised to a
highly receptive international market and was a success in 1959. Several years later, physicians
began to form a link between phocomelia, a birth deformity, and pregnant woman who ingested the

the point of death passed unnoticed for several years. The highly concentrated infant mortality toll

premature infant deaths, it can be classified as historically tragic. In addition to premature deaths,
Thalidomide s consumption in the early 1960s is also tragic in another way.
The unregulated sales of Thalidomide also caused emotional distress and hardship for the future

Persuasive Essay About Black Friday
I normally participate in the Black Friday festivities myself so, going out and just asking
questions was a normal part of it. It started about 6 years ago when I went out Black Friday
shopping with two of my best friends. The three of us went to Best Buy with the intention of our

It was my first time ever going as well as theirs too I believe. We were a year out of High School

up leaving Thanksgiving dinner at about 8 and getting to Best Buy shortly after because the store
opened at 12 a.m. that night. We sat out in the cold talked and joked for about 4 hours to only get
in the store and Hansford decide he did not want the speaker anymore. Since that year I have been

Descriptive Essay About Going To The City
Leaving home to come to a city so far away for college was one of the hardest decisions that I ve
ever been faced with. I was excited at first, but when the time came around of my leaving,
nervousness started to come the surface. I was excited because this would be the opportunity for
me to spread my wings and leave the nest, but I was nervous because I had never been so far away
from my family. I had always been in close proximity of their reach. I was nervous because I would
no longer be able to just run home and hide from my problems, I would have to face the real world,
I would have to face the things I ve been sheltered from my whole life.
My decision changed on the regular basis, I never really had a set plan although I had visited the
University of Cincinnati multiple times and I had traveled around the city and I fell in love with
it. I never saw myself moving across the city because of how sheltered I was but I knew that I
needed to break away. A day came where I decided to devote time to calculate the costs of each
school to see which one would fit my financial budget. I liked how the University of Cincinnati s
tuition was relatively cheaper than my initial top choices. The final straw of making my decision
was that the city itself as well as the school was very diverse, which gave me a sense of belonging.
I gathered enough information to make me want to come to the University of Cincinnati, but I didn

Change In Pride And Prejudice
The pride of individuals may seem hard of their character. Since many people struggle with pride,
the downfall is prejudice from other people. The prospective of individuals will change through the
passage of time. Jane Austen wrote many novels that describers a person visage. In the novel Pride
and Prejudice, one can see the moral lesson Jane Austenteachers in not judging a book by its cover.
In the beginning of the novelElizabeth is first introduced to Mr. Darcy with an abrupt statement of
pride. At the first ball Mr. Darcy is speaking to Mr. Bingley about the beauty of Elizabeth Bennet.
Darcy says, she is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me, and I am in no humor at present
to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mr. Darcy is seen risking his honor to help Elizabeth s family with the eloping of Mr. Wickham
and Lydia. Mr. Darcy remarks, I am grieved, indeed, cried Darcy: grieved and shocked. But it is
all, all too late now (Austen 269). In this part of the story Elizabeth sees Mr. Darcy with more of
a sense of empathy to where she can understand his disgust with the previous good Mr. Wickham,
turned scandal. Now Elizabeth sees Mr. Darcy as a man of Integrity that can display his emotion
to those he wishes to pursue. This process of prospective has changed the prejudice of Elizabeth
towards Mr. Darcy. A person s demeanor is all a matter of understanding as well as prospective
through other peoples lives. In examination of the novel, Pride and Prejudice, one can see the moral
lesson Jane Austen teaches. Judging people on first encounters is not a good way to view life,
knowing a person s heart takes time and suffering. People always need to hear the information
straight from the horses mouth. Individuals can learn to look into a person s heart not by what the
world views oneself, but by the action of one s individual

these things I will carry with me as I continue to write for various classes or other reasons in the
future and they will continue to help me better myself as writer. The five student outcomes have
helped me to better myself by giving me guidelines to follow and to help me understand the

I then submitted my final draft to iNet. My topic for my research paper was technology s impact on
today s society. I talked about the positive and negative impacts technology has on our society
everyday and I was able to give evidence of my ideas with information I found when researching.
I explained that technology has helped with finding new ways to teach students including those
with disabilities and how it has helped to advance the health and medicinal field. I also explained
some downsides such as the addiction and absence of face to face interaction that come along
with technology. Each of my assignments for this class included revising and editing at the
attempt to hand in the best possible work. I made sure I read over my work before handing it in to
assure that there were little to no grammatical or spelling errors. My biggest struggle in this area
was working on transitions and organization throughout my assignments to make sure my paper
flowed better as a whole.
Conduct research, which uses traditional and electronic search techniques and integrates source
materials is the second student outcome. I used this a ton when writing my research paper as well
as many other assignments. Bianca Banova, author of the article The Impact of Technology on
Healthcare asserts, Patient files are being kept in databases that can be accessed from anywhere in
the facility (2). I explained that this was helpful for hospitals because this

The Teleological Argument For The Existence Of Intelligent...
The teleological argument successfully provides proof for the existence of intelligent design by
utilizing intricate scientific data in order to demonstrate intent and purpose in the creation of the
universe, as opposed to random and highly improbable occurrences. The purpose of the
teleological argument is to present complex details of the universe as evidence that it was
designed by an intelligent mind. It suggests that since the universe is so compound and full of fine
tuned intricacies, there must have been a designer who implemented these specific details in order
to create a fully functioning and sustainable universe. These details have been found from a
biological perspective, as well as from a cosmological scale. The teleological argumentis commonly
used to provide evidence for the existence of the theistic God, or at least an intelligent designer. In
contrast, those who are against the teleological argument generally believe that the universe is a
result of an accidental explosion. Although there are many theories that use the teleological
argument to provide strong support for intelligent design, there are also well developed theories that
oppose the teleological argument. A philosopher who presents several contradicting arguments to
the teleological argument is David Hume. In his writing, The Dialogue Concerning Natural
Religion, he presents his critique of the teleological argument and expresses his opposition through
the fictional character Philo. In one of

  • 3. Effects Of Artificial Gravity Artificial gravity is an application of force, resulting from acceleration, that creates a sense of gravity. It is often used in space to counteract the effects of weightlessness in astronauts. Artificial gravity can be created in many ways; for example, centripetal force, a force that makes a body follow a curved path, can cause artificial gravity. If a spaceship was to rotate from its center, the force of rotation would push the astronaut in the opposite direction, causing the astronaut to experience an outwards force similar to gravity on Earth. The gravity can be calculated by using the radius between the center of rotation to the astronaut. The larger the radius, the larger the force, or artificial gravity, the astronaut would experience. Think of it as spinning on one of the spinning seats often found on playgrounds. The farther you lean your body out of the seat (increasing your radius from the center), the larger force you feel and the more likely you are to fly off. In addition, there are many reasons why astronauts need the sense of artificial gravity. The main reason would be the person s health. Humans have evolved to live on the earth, with a presence of gravity; once that presence is gone, the human body can experience several different effects. For example, muscle and skeleton deterioration can occur. When floating in space, an astronaut does not use their body s muscles like on earth; they don t put the same stresses on their back muscles, or their knee ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The assessment method that an Advanced Care Paramedic follows is a systematic assessment referred to as the Primary Survey. The aim of this fundamental assessment is to give an initial diagnosis of the patient as well as identifying any imminent threats to the patient. The pulse is an indication of an individual s heart rate. When checking for a pulse in the primary survey, begin with palpating the patient s radial or carotid artery (Basic Patient Care 2012, p. 50). This may reveal a normal (60 100 beats/min), tachycardia ( 100 beats/min), bradycardia ( 60 beats/min) or asystole heart rate. Additionally, the capillary refill may also provide details about a patient s cardiovascular status. This is performed by applying pressure to the nail bed and calculating the time it to takes to refill to a normal color, which should take no more then a few seconds otherwise suggesting capillary closure (Mick J Sanders, 2012, p. 1400). The poem follows a comparatively simple ABCB rhyme scheme, which indicates that the poetess s goal is not to exercise her writing skills, but to reflect her opinion. By this poem Emily Dickinsonpresents a new way of thinking about the death. The speaker of the poem, assumingly a female, does not expect her own death her life is so active and busy that she does not have time to think about dying. • 9. Latin Language In The Latin Language The Latin language was originally spoken in small groups along the Tiber River, but spread with the increase of Roman political power. It first spread throughout Italy and most of western and southern Europe, along with central and western Mediterranean coastal regions of Africa. Today s romance languages developed from spoken Latinof various parts of the Roman Empire. From the middle ages to comparatively recent times, Latin was the most common used language in the West for scholarly and literary purposes (Posner and Sala). Until the latter of the 20th century, Latin s use was required in the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church. During the Classical Period, there were three types of Latin in use: Classical written, Classical oratorical, and ordinary colloquial Latin, which was used by the average speaker of the language. Spoken Latin continued to break off from normal grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. During Classical and immediate Post Classical periods, there were many inscriptions that proved spoked Latin, but after 3rd century CE, many texts were written in Vulgar Latin. However, in Early 4th and 5th centuries, St. Jerome and St. Augustine wrote good literary Late Latin. The Latin language continued to evolve in two ways: the basis of local spoken forms morphed into Romance Languages, and it was continued in a standardized Dendy 2 form throughout the Middle Ages as a language of religion and scholarship. Imitation of Classical and Post Classical models continued into the 6th century. There was also continuity of literary tradition, even after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Research in the late 20th century suggested that Romanization was more widespread and only the scholarly men were imbued with Roman Values. Because Latin died out in Britain, it is believed that the language was only used by the elite. After a while he started exploring the new world which included Virginia, New England and Summer Isles. Smith had a very prestigious and independent outlook on life and throughout his journey it had brought him misfortune for much of his explorations, but with the misfortune came a bundles of successes. The Natives, who originally possessed the land, were very hostile towards the new comers in the beginning, but after a while Smith organized the settlers to where they could defend their selves from them once he leaves to continue on to new settlements. Unfortunately when he returned the place was basically in chaos. Despite the chaotic environment Smith took control of Jamestown s defense. Under his command, the fort was strengthened and armed guards were put into place to watch over the settlement. • 11. Promotional Strategy Suggestions for Exercise Equipment... Promotional Strategy Suggestions for Exercise Equipment and Breakfast Cereal For any product to be sold successfully, especially to the mass market, the firm selling the product will need to be marketed with a promotion. Promotion is one of the four elements of the marketing mix, referring to the way in which a product is promoted this is more than just advertising, it includes public relations, endorsement and any activity which will help to increase awareness of the product and support the development of sales (Hooley et al, 2007). Promotional strategies are required in order to create awareness in the potential target market regarding the product, and to help stimulate sales by influencing the decision making process (Kotler and Keller, 2011). In order to demonstrate the application of promotion strategies to different products can be examined, with promotional strategies those products suggested. The two products are exercise equipment and breakfast cereals. Exercise Equipment Designing a commercial strategy to exercise equipment requires the marketer to identify the message that will suitably communicate not only the purpose and function of the product being sold, but why and how it will satisfy needs of the consumer. Kotler and Keller (2011) argue that people do not buy products; they buy the benefits that are provided by the product. For example, when purchasing a bed the buyer is purchasing the ability to get a good night s sleep, when a consumer purchases a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Scepticism is required to authenticate relevant evidence and validate the source, it should never be assumed that a person of authority has delivered the information in print.(Burton 2006:45) Open mindedness is remaining impartial and being prepared to accept evidence which conflicts with personal beliefs while considering all opinions.(Burton 2006 45 46) Objectivity is perceiving the argument while disregarding all emotional responses. The safety has to have a capsule that keeps everything secure inside it safe in the time of impact. I chose this material because not only was the weight low but also the cost was at a medium . Although, we know that the tensile strength is only at 300 we know that if more air friction is added to the space lander it is going to have less force applied to it as the falling is happening meaning the strength of the tensile is okay to not be too rigid . The price of the material is also at a very cheap price we know that NASA is to cut cost , mass , and risk This is matching characteristics and with the low cost of the other products included in the space lander having a medium cost is not going to have a large effect on the total ... • 31. Resilience Is An Aspect Of Health Resilience in People Approaching the End of Their Lives Introduction Resilience reflects the ability of someone to maintain a stable equilibrium(1), that is to retain a sense of identity or self(2), when dealing with adversity or misfortune. Highly resilient individuals are capable of coping with unexpected challenges, and may have a number of mechanisms or strategies to help them do so. Resilience is an aspect of health that is becoming increasingly recognised in medicine(3), as having resilience enables self care and self healing, which is beneficial in multiple ways. By being actively involved in his or her own wellbeing, a patient is likely to have better outcomes(3). In addition, healthcare resources are conserved, allowing them to be used to help a patient with less resilience. Although the importance of resilience in carers of the ill cannot be understated, in this essay I will primarily focus on resilience in patients approaching end of life, as there is a great deal for them to go through, all the way from diagnosis to death. The concept of resilience itself is something we are all familiar with in one way or another. I experienced seeing resilience being tested firsthand from watching my parents deal with my father s cancer diagnosis, treatment and eventual passing all in the span of just over a year. On one of my GP home visits I was quite affected by talking to Mr A, an elderly man with COPD who was living with his wife, who had dementia. I will look at the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Characteristics Of Gifted And Gifted Gifted and Talented: A Gift and a Curse Although being gifted and talented (GT) is not thought of as a disability, it presents its own set of difficulties. It is difficult to estimate the absolute number of gifted children because the calculation depends on the various criteria and methods used to identify gifted children. Also, due to the nature of begin gifted and talented, common characteristics can be misleading. The Gifted and Talented Student A student who gets good grades, behaves well, and excels above the academic average has in the past been considered gifted. The student who does not perform at this level is less likely to be identified and less likely to receive assistance. The term gifted was limited to academic achievement. In today s society this definition has changed because giftedness spans to more than one area of development and achievement (Turnbull, Turnbull, Wehmeyer, Shogren, 2013). Developmental Profile There is no single indicator of giftedness. GT students are generally considered to have an IQ greater than 125 and/or show evidence of a high performance capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, specific academic, or leadership ability, or in the performing and visual arts (Turnbull et al., 2013). Characteristics/Classification The classification of gifted and talented students is easier to define than their characteristics. The intellectual classification of GT students is; baseline GT IQ between 125 130, moderately GT IQ ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Dickinson s I dreaded that first robin so Essay Dickinson s poetry has been interpreted a number of different ways. To some she may come across suicidal, to others depressed, or even philosophical to a number of readers. In her poem number 347 her depression and feelings of inadequacy are clear. In this poem Dickinson is a diva and is like any other person, scared of change; feelings that people typically get over quickly. Dickinson is being drama queen by explaining and lingering upon her depression and feelings of inadequacy by comparing herself unreasonably to and transcending the beautiful structures involved with spring through her uses of allusion, symbolism, and personification. Dickinson shows how she is being a drama queen and unreasonably trying to explain her inadequacy... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The grass is given the human characteristics of height and growth. She gives the grass these qualities in order to make it seem like the grass is guarding her from everything else in the world. Dickinson feels so inadequate that she must hide behind a sizable wall of grass in order that the rest of the structures associated with spring would not come and see her. She assumes that the bees, flowers and birds are all too beautiful to be associated with her and so she must remain incognito and enshrouded by the grass. Her feelings are unreasonable as the structures that are all associated with spring are some of the most beautiful in nature, therefore her comparisons and attempts to transcend the beauty involved with nature is illogical. Dickinson tries to transcend and compare herself to the nature around her but it is not a reasonable structure to transcend and so she feels inadequate and decides to remain clandestine behind a wall of grass. Dickinson also uses the symbolism of spring to show her unreasonable feelings of inadequacy by comparing herself to and attempting to transcend it. Spring is typically seen as a time of renewal and renaissance because it is the avenue to summer where nature is full of life and growing after the winter. Thus spring symbolizes new birth and beauty. Dickinson feels that she cannot face spring because it is too beautiful and fruitful a season for her. Compared to the season of spring and all it entails she feels unattractive and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Brokeback Mountain Analysis Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx is a heart wrenching short story written with an intimate style that evokes clear imagery in the mind of the reader. Although, only 28 pages in length the short story offered Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana source material that had potential to be expanded and to build upon the already created Midwestern reality. One of the elements altered for the screenplay from the short story is the perspective; which follows the main character, Ennis Del Mar over the course of twenty years. Although, not told through Ennis eyes exactly, the reader is given access to his emotional state; meaning his thoughts and feelings are explained more so than any other character. For example: He had no serious hard feelings, just a vague sense of getting shortchanged, and showed it was all right by taking Thanksgiving dinner with Alma and her grocer and the kids, sitting between his girls and talking horses to them, , telling jokes, trying not to be a sad daddy. (pg. 16) The screenplay shares a similar perspective, but expands the view to include Jack Twist, moving between the lives of both men throughout the years. However, the screenplay stays true to the source material by paying more attention to the original main character, Ennis. Another element that is changed from the short story to the screenplay is the expansion or flushing out of characters. In Proulx s story, characters other than Ennis and Jack are mostly referred to, or given glimpses of. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One thought that I immediately had when visiting the site, though, is that if I did not google it I may not have found it. Because there are other professional sport teams called the giants I wasn t sure what website to type in, so I googled it and it actually came up after their twitter page and after the Google in the news section. The layout of the home page was very pleasing to the eye. I loved that they had a large picture of Eli manning and Odell Beckham Jr. on the two outermost columns of the page. This shows just how important individual players are to a sport organization and its popularity, especially with social media. The home page is categorized by videos, photos, news... Navigating the site is easy with subcategories at the top of the page, and when you scroll down not much is redundant. A promotion to become a Juventus member sits just above the all of the club s successes such a championship trophies and titles, making it hard to resist. There is also a brief break in the home page to promote the team store where they have pictures of gear and jerseys. The team s sponsors are subtly promoted, and it helps that they all coincide with the black and white look of the team jersey and page altogether. Originating from the German drug company, Chemie GrГјtinethal, this pill was advertised to a highly receptive international market and was a success in 1959. Several years later, physicians began to form a link between phocomelia, a birth deformity, and pregnant woman who ingested the German created drug. That little white pill is known as Thalidomide. The international widespread death magnified the tragedy, adding salt to the wound. The immense death toll is considered an international failure because of the shared infant death crisis. Since the distribution of Thalidomide caused thousands of premature infant deaths, it can be classified as historically tragic. In addition to premature deaths, Thalidomide s consumption in the early 1960s is also tragic in another way. The unregulated sales of Thalidomide also caused emotional distress and hardship for the future lives of mothers and their infants. The fatal drug s side effects were displayed in pregnant women s newborn babies. Infants affected with Thalidomide were born with limb reduction anomalies, congenital heart disease, ear malformations, and ocular abnormalities. The potential to live a long life was inhibited by the handicapped ailments each infant received. This created a lot of health expenses and difficulty obtaining an education. • 39. Descriptive Essay About Going To The City Leaving home to come to a city so far away for college was one of the hardest decisions that I ve ever been faced with. I was excited at first, but when the time came around of my leaving, nervousness started to come the surface. I was excited because this would be the opportunity for me to spread my wings and leave the nest, but I was nervous because I had never been so far away from my family. I had always been in close proximity of their reach. I was nervous because I would no longer be able to just run home and hide from my problems, I would have to face the real world, I would have to face the things I ve been sheltered from my whole life. My decision changed on the regular basis, I never really had a set plan although I had visited the University of Cincinnati multiple times and I had traveled around the city and I fell in love with it. I never saw myself moving across the city because of how sheltered I was but I knew that I needed to break away. A day came where I decided to devote time to calculate the costs of each school to see which one would fit my financial budget. I liked how the University of Cincinnati s tuition was relatively cheaper than my initial top choices. The final straw of making my decision was that the city itself as well as the school was very diverse, which gave me a sense of belonging. I gathered enough information to make me want to come to the University of Cincinnati, but I didn t gather enough information on calculating the costs. I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The prospective of individuals will change through the passage of time. Jane Austen wrote many novels that describers a person visage. In the novel Pride and Prejudice, one can see the moral lesson Jane Austenteachers in not judging a book by its cover. In the beginning of the novelElizabeth is first introduced to Mr. Darcy with an abrupt statement of pride. At the first ball Mr. Darcy is speaking to Mr. Bingley about the beauty of Elizabeth Bennet. In this part of the story Elizabeth sees Mr. Darcy with more of a sense of empathy to where she can understand his disgust with the previous good Mr. Wickham, turned scandal. Now Elizabeth sees Mr. Darcy as a man of Integrity that can display his emotion to those he wishes to pursue. This process of prospective has changed the prejudice of Elizabeth towards Mr. Darcy. A person s demeanor is all a matter of understanding as well as prospective through other peoples lives. In examination of the novel, Pride and Prejudice, one can see the moral lesson Jane Austen teaches. Judging people on first encounters is not a good way to view life, knowing a person s heart takes time and suffering. People always need to hear the information straight from the horses mouth. I explained that technology has helped with finding new ways to teach students including those with disabilities and how it has helped to advance the health and medicinal field. I also explained some downsides such as the addiction and absence of face to face interaction that come along with technology. Each of my assignments for this class included revising and editing at the attempt to hand in the best possible work. The teleological argument successfully provides proof for the existence of intelligent design by utilizing intricate scientific data in order to demonstrate intent and purpose in the creation of the universe, as opposed to random and highly improbable occurrences. The purpose of the teleological argument is to present complex details of the universe as evidence that it was designed by an intelligent mind. It suggests that since the universe is so compound and full of fine tuned intricacies, there must have been a designer who implemented these specific details in order to create a fully functioning and sustainable universe. These details have been found from a biological perspective, as well as from a cosmological scale. The teleological argumentis commonly used to provide evidence for the existence of the theistic God, or at least an intelligent designer. In contrast, those who are against the teleological argument generally believe that the universe is a result of an accidental explosion. Although there are many theories that use the teleological argument to provide strong support for intelligent design, there are also well developed theories that oppose the teleological argument. A philosopher who presents several contradicting arguments to the teleological argument is David Hume. In his writing, The Dialogue Concerning Natural Religion, he presents his critique of the teleological argument and expresses his opposition through the fictional character Philo. In one of ...
