This document proposes a new color-based shuffling pattern lock for Android devices to improve security. Current locking schemes like PINs, passwords and fixed pattern locks are vulnerable to shoulder surfing and smudge attacks. The proposed method uses a circular interface with six colored blocks. When unlocking a locked app, the colors shuffle into a new pattern order each time, requiring the user to recreate the correct color sequence. This makes the pattern harder to discern by observers. The shuffling color pattern aims to provide stronger security while maintaining usability. If the pattern is incorrect, it reshuffles the colors again until correctly unlocked. The proposal analyzed weaknesses in existing locks and believes the shuffling color blocks could improve both security and convenience for users.
