Jonas is sitting with his family at the dinner table when his sister says something

The Minimum Drinking Age Act was passes by President Ronald Reagan, which
raised the minimum drinking age to twenty one. Alcohol is a very dangerous
substance especially when it is being consumed by teenagers. The establishment of
the Minimum Drinking Age Act has saved lives and is needed to stay in place to
continue saving American lives every year. The United States Constitution is
designed to protect the citizens and their unalienable rights. The minimum drinking
age law protects the citizen s the same way the minimum driving and voting ages are
established. The National Minimum Drinking Age Actshould remain at twenty one
because it is protecting the lives of American Citizens. If the drinking age is
lowered to eighteen, the number of deaths caused by teen drinking and driving
would increase. It has been proven many times that when the drinking age was

The policy that will be analyzed is the federal Older American Act Title III E,
which was approved by the Congress in 2000. It regulates National Family
Caregiver Support Programs (NFCSP), a categorical non income tested program,
aiming to provide direct services to informal family caregivers. Under the federal
administration from AoA, the NFCSP is carried out through a network of 56 State
Units on Aging (SUAs), 655 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and local public or
private institutions. Specifically, AAAs provide five category services to caregivers
by using the allocated NFCSP funding information regarding services, assistance for
accessing services, counseling/support groups/training, short term respite and
supplement services on a limited basis.
My field placement is the New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA), a
local government agency and the largest Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in U.S. Its
mission is to work for the quality of life of New York City s diverse older adults
and for the support of their families through advocacy, education and delivery of
services. Under the network of DFTA, Bureau of HealthCare Connections (HCC) is
responsible for funding, monitoring and administrating NFCSP programs in New
York City.

Abstract
A young offender with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder can be very vulnerable
whether we realize it or not. The level of their comprehension can be lower than
others without the disorder and can cause them to struggle with things that are simple
to us like complying with law authority during an arrest. With that being said, Kaitlyn
McLachlan, Ronald Roesch, Jodi L. Viljoen and Kevin S. Douglas did a study on
young offenders with FASD in hopes to raise awareness of the necessity to aid the
individuals. The research included reliable methods that would prove their
intellectual and academic levels were highly lower than individuals without FASD.
The four hypothesized that the young offenders with FASD would show more
limited skills than the young offenders without FASD. Their results showed the
young offenders with FASD scored significantly lower than the other young
offenders, making their hypothesis correct. McLachlan, Roesch, Viljoen and Douglas
proved that it would be significant to mark individuals with FASD as ones who would
