Beauty If you did not grow up watching Disney fairytale movies, what did you watch for the first
decade of your life? Movies like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid have captured
the attention of young children since the mid twentieth century. A child s opinion on gender roles and
behaviors has been strengthened by Disney movies. Most young girls believe their lives will be

business process that will help to create shared values for companies and society. Iraq is one of the
most countries in the world that needs this kind of sustainability to build and reform the infrastructure

corporations got affected by the corruption that has been eroding the country for years. In this study I

neighborhood community to contaminants in response to their public health complaint with the City of
New Orleans. . The homeowners in the neighborhood started to complain of nausea, headache, and
dyspnea when they work in their back yards and reported water runoff and soil erosion from the waste
management site. So, they were really concerned about their children health because they used to play
in the area. As a result of that, we evaluated some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Polycyclic
aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are chemical compounds found in nature or released from burning of

When I was in grade school I had teachers that would reward students for good grades and positive
behavior thus making it more likely for us to work hard to do better. I remember receiving candy, a
material reinforcer, recess extensions, an activity reinforcer, and even activity passes, an activity
reinforcer, for doing well. If I proved to know the content well enough, then I was allowed to skip an
activity in class to do something more fun such as a craft or a game instead. Or sometimes, those who
did exceptionally well on a quiz would be allowed to go to lunch early which also meant a longer

and working harder to achieve good grades. I noticed as I went through school that my work ethic
strengthened the more positive reinforcement I received. If I began to slip, and my effort level
decreased then I would receive negative reinforcement from my teachers in the form of a bad grade, a
secondary reinforcer. This would then signal me to work harder so that I would not receive the same
low grade as before. The consequences I encountered from both working hard and slacking off shaped
the way I behaved in school. When offered incentives to do well and negative consequences for not
performing as well, I was induced to work hard and get good grades. One particular example of
Operant Conditioning I remember from my early education was when my father promised my class
McDonalds lunch if all of us got 100% on our spelling test. I remember our entire class studying
harder than we had before to achieve a perfect score on our test. We ended up making our goal and

Throughout the entirety of this course, I was able to truly think critically and deeply about faith, God,
death and meaning. This section of Logos was extremely meaningful for me because I think it is so
important to have faith in something higher in order to find true meaning in life. I choose to live my
life in a way that is significant for me because I do not want to depart this world without leaving
something behind. Legacy is important to me, but so is finding meaning within myself. The works we
read, watched and discussed guided and challenged my reflections so I could develop a clearer
understanding of my quest for meaning. After reading one of the very first readings, The Courage to
Be, I realized how influential death and meaning is on an individual s life. In the past, I always
thought those who feared death were focusing too much on the future and forgetting to live in the

This concept is one that is particularly concerning for me after some of the books we read. After
reading Dante s Inferno, I definitely took the chance to picture what my life might look like if I knew I

are the words of General Stanley McChrystal, the former senior commander of international forces in
Afghanistan, speaking of his stance on whether the United States should bring back the draft. The
American public has become disconnected from the military. The time has come to do something
about this; it is time to reinstate the draft. There are three reasons why the draft should be reinstated.
The costs of military personnel have soared in recent years, it would make elected officials think twice
before sending troops overseas since there will be a larger pool of draftees it would create a melting
pot of backgrounds. Although there are those who condemn the draft, they miss the point entirely.
Without question, the draft should be reinstated immediately.
President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940 which established
the Selective Service System as an independent Federal agency within the Department of Defense
(Smith, par. 3). Young men were only drafted in America s greatest conflicts the Civil War, Vietnam
War, World War I, and the lead up to World War II (Bandow, par. 3). Nearly 2.2 million men were
drafted during 1961 to 1973 (South, par. 25). This practice continued during the Cold War as the U.S.
sought to protect friendly war ravaged states (Bandow, par. 3). From 1948 until 1973, young men were
