As billions of devices connect to enterprise networks, IT is struggling to gain more visibility and control using multiple, disparate security systems and management tools. ClearPass Exchange fixes this problem by acting as a central decision point, providing context for a unified network access defense for wired and wireless access, and leveraging downstream security and productivity systems and context to improve end-user workflows and secure devices wherever they connect. Learn how to leverage ClearPass Exchange to deploy and use endpoint, access, traffic inspection and data visiblitiy solutions for mobile workfoce productivity and threat prevention.
Is your wireless network more secure than your wired network? In this session, we'll discuss how to use industry standard techniques to provide secure wired access. This includes using policies and RADIUS/RADIUS CoA to ensure that ports used for Wi-Fi APs, IoT devices, printers and IP phones are protected against unwanted use by employees, guests, and contractors. The days of dedicated ports assigned to VLANs are over! By using a 'universal ports tied to policies’ model, network access is based on dynamic enforcement rules. These techniques work across popular wired infrastructure from HPE, Cisco, and others.
During this webinar, we will discuss how starting from ArubaOS 8.2.0.0, selected APs can run in both controller-based mode and controller-less mode and the implications tied to that. Securing BYOD with Palo Alto & Aruba: BYOD is driving an extensive change in the way that organizations design their networks and deploy security. With BYOD, the organization faces the task of securing devices that may not even be owned or managed by the company. As a result, the organization must secure the network and apply policy based on who is accessing their applications and what device they’re using. In this session, learn about how to build a more secure wireless environment through the adoption of “Zero Trust” principles at the access layer.
In this session, join Brian Tokuyoshi, senior product manager from Palo Alto Networks, to learn about how to integrate Aruba wireless infrastructure and Palo Alto's next-generation security platform. Please comment on what you think about the session and anything specific you would like us to cover. For more please visit http://community.arubanetworks.com
Guests, contractors and employees are expected to connect wide variety of devices to your Wi-Fi, wired and VPN networks. Multi-Factor Authentication - "Moving Towards the Enterprise" mycroftinc
In the past year, we’ve seen a significant shift in how we are asked to authenticate to web applications. The trend is moving from relying on simple username & passwords to wider scale use of two-factor, risk-based & multi-factor authentication (MFA), such as software tokens, one-time password (OTP), and various forms of device identification. What does it all mean & is it something your organization needs?
The simple answer is…multi-factor authentication needs to be on the radar of every organization, as passwords are no longer enough to protect users. Passwords are too easy to crack or steal & hackers are indiscriminant. From an operational perspective, organizations are losing money through high volumes of help desk tickets related to logins & password resets. Strong passwords are still just too weak of a defense in today’s business world.
Join us at 11amET on Tuesday, April 1st for an interactive webcast with our team of subject matter experts to learn more about how to turn this new requirement into a seamless feature of your current environment.

- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.
PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert
In this presentation, we examine the challenges and limitations of relying too heavily on PHP frameworks in web development. We discuss the history of PHP and its frameworks to understand how this dependence has evolved. The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. We'll explore the importance of maintaining autonomy in a rapidly changing tech landscape and how to make informed decisions in PHP development.
This talk is aimed at encouraging a more independent approach to using PHP frameworks, moving towards a more flexible and future-proof approach to PHP development.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
For the hospitality sector, ClearPass integrates with leading property management systems such as Micros Opera. With this integration, hotel guests only need to provide their room number and surname to register on to the Wi-Fi system.
After a successful transaction ClearPass will allow the guest on to the network and inform the PMS system of the transaction event, should the property want to charge for access, etc.
HCG mode allows ClearPass boxes to support double the capacity.
500, 5k and 25k CPPM appliances can now support 1000, 10k and 50k users when in dedicated guest mode.
