Continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) aims to assess students in a holistic manner that covers both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects. It involves periodic, school-based assessments using various techniques like observation, oral questions, written work, projects, and portfolios. CCE aims to reduce stress and focus more on learning than exams. It also helps develop students' life skills and personality. The CBSE introduced CCE to reduce reliance on board exams and encourage a more well-rounded evaluation of students.
