My aim was to calculate the velocity of a ferrous projectile propelled by a solenoid.
Originally I planned to build my own coil gun and use it for testing, but as time grew shorter and
hardly any progress was made on the project, Mr. Hogan suggested I use the coil gun my
consultant had left behind in the schools store room. Although I disputed the idea at first, the more
I argued the more Mr. Hogan s idea made sense.

Introduction:
There was no real need to carry out this project. It started off as one of several suggestions made
to my teacher Kent Hogan. From my point of view this particular suggestion was nothing more
than a joke especially considering where I got it from, but from Mr Hogan s perspective this
suggestion was the most feasible and had the most potential.
I m not forcing anyone to pay serious attention to this project. There are likely far better ones out
there that talk about coil guns. However, if you want to know how fast a rudimentary contraption
can propel a ferrous projectile by briefly generating a strong magnetic field it will benefit you to
keep reading. Also the presentation was a lie well, maybe not an outright lie but the results in the
presentation were

Nurturing Donor Analysis
Nurturing Donors Organizations must view their potential donors as people instead of a potential
donation. Organizations must effectively and efficiently collect and organize data about each
potential donor in order to tailor strategies and techniques that encourage and persuade the
individual to support their cause (Weinstein, 2013, p. 110). Organizations must listen carefully to
the desires of the potential donor and use this information to create an appeal for support. Once this
information is collected it should be documented using fundraising software or an Excel
spreadsheet (Weinstein, 2013, p. 73). Although data collection and organizational systems are great,
they are useless if the organization does not use the information to request support from unique
donors (Weinstein, 2013, p. 111).

Rockford Lutheran must nurture relationships with its alumni. These constituents have a close

Rockford Lutheran must identify prosperous individuals who have a personal relationship with
someone connected to the athletic department (Weinstein, 2013, p. 97). Building a relationship with
these individuals is important because they have the potential to make a substantial donation. It is
important the person that has a previous relationship with the potential donor is the one that seeks
their support (Weinstein 2013, p. 105). It is important that the request for support is done in
person and that the solicitor is well prepared with a personalized case statement (Weinstein, 2013,
p. 66). The athletic director should also invite a wealthy donor or potential donor out to lunch.
This informal lunch is also a great way to build a relationship that can last for years to come
