Almost all people act differently upon hearing news that has the potential to change their life. Although the reactions may
differ depending on the person, there is usually not a correct manner in which to take the information. In Oedipus the King,
Sophocles writes the tragedy in such a way as to make Oedipus have to cope with learning that he not only unintentionally was
the culprit to his father s murder, but also his wife, Jocasta, is truly his mother. Despite the fact that the circumstances were
equal for both Oedipus and Jocasta, they react in vastly different ways. While some people think that Jocasta handles the
situation as best as she could, she truly does not react in a mature manner, while Oedipus copes with the pain and sorrow with
more nobility.
Although there is no correct way in which to react to heartbreaking news, Jocasta is seen handling the situation with no grace
or maturity. Supporters of Jocasta s approach argue that she acts appropriately since she has not cause the problem to grow,
thus not allowing the issue to spread and affect others negatively. In truth, however, Jocasta is very ungraceful when she
discovers the underlying foulness of her marriage and truth to her son s life. For example, while Oedipus is trying to solve the
crime of Laius, the King, she involves herself in a quarrel between Creon and Oedipus. While putting a stop to the argument,
she is found saying that if Oedipus and Creon did not escalate the situation, it would not be

Introduction
The NVIDIA Titan X belongs to the GeForce 900 Series of graphics cards developed by NVIDIA. It is also placed in the
Enthusiast category of graphical processing units, which indicates that it is mainly used in very high performance personal
computers. Graphics cards in this category are placed there because they offer significantly faster processing capabilities and
will generally have more memory. This kind of card appeals to consumers that play video games and want to push their
computer to the limit by using the best available graphics in game. The Titan X s original microarchitecture was the Maxwell
microarchitecture. The first generation of Maxwell GPUs hit the market in February of 2014. Later versions of the Titan X
improved on the Maxwell microarchitecture by introducing the Pascal microarchitecture in April of 2016. Although the
NVIDIA Titan X is the most powerful graphics card the normal consumer can buy, it has many competitors that it has to worry
about. The main reason this is, is because the processing power comes at a hefty price. It has stayed around a constant $1200
since it s release nine months ago.

During the 1940 s, the African Americans were segregated from the Whites in America. White people in America had a lot
more advantages or opportunities. Up until when Jackie Robinson potentially brought the two races together, many signs of
hatred were shown on the African Americans. They had separate schools, restaurants, and transportation systems. Nobody ever
thought that the two races would be integrated one day. Predictably, life at this time was not very easy for African Americans.
Civil Rights activists, though, were determined to change the way African Americans were treated. In November of 1945,
Jackie Robinson broke baseball s color barrier becoming the first African American to play Major League Baseball. Robinson
made his first appearance playing for Brooklyn Dodgers. People were at first skeptical about letting an African American into
the sport. Branch Rickey, the Dodgers general manager, ignored the skepticism and gave robinson the go ahead to join his
team. Soon they realized that a new era in our country has begun. Jackie Robinson entered the league reluctant to know about
the hate that he would get but left one of the greatest players in the sport for not only his talent but what he did for the country.
This opened the sport and many other things for the African American race. Jackie Robinson being the first African American

Before modern technology, men would band together for the protection of their families. History has proven people group
together for survival, whether that be warmth, food, or protection. The idea was that a group is stronger and more profitable

At a young age, my parents put me in sports: teaching me how to skate at age three, playing football my first year eligible and
