Today, the leading cause of death and most serious health concern in Nigeria is Malaria. All but 10%

mothers (1, 7). Common symptoms of malaria in adults are headaches, weakness, fever, aches, high

physical and emotional health of the people and on the economic growth of the country.

There are four different protozoa, all part of the plasmodium genus, that can cause malaria:
Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium ovale, Plasmodium malaria, and Plasmodium falciparum. In Nigeria
98% of cases of malaria are due to the P. falciparum species, which causes the most severe form of
malaria resulting in death (3). Nigeria is affected by malaria severely due to its climate, 70 90 degrees

mosquito grows increasingly faster. Another factor that is responsible for the severity of malaria in

During this past Spring I found myself traveling to The Netherlands to comfort my niece after a
terrible loss. This has been my second trip to this beautiful country even though it was not a vacation
trip it ended up been an amazing experience.

niece and her husband were renting a condo with a stunning view of Scheveningen beach. It is a

unforgettable. Full of people relaxing and having fun. The sun is really appreciated there, people does

Magnets have a magnetic field surrounding them and these fields is the magnetism force that the
magnet poses of an object. On a large scale, the Earth is a magnet which also has a magnetic field.
Magnets also has North and South poles which can flip. The amount of magnetic material attracted to
the magnet, allows the magnet s poles to flip. Flipping on the earth s magnet could cause destruction
on the earth. The magnetic field protects earth from solar radiation.
Purpose of the Experiment:
The purpose of this experiment is to discover if a magnet physically turns or if the magnetic field
weakens to allow the North and South poles to flip.
Methods:
Lay the bar magnet on a flat surface so that it is facing a particular direction other than North. This
allows to see if the magnet physically towards the North.
Place some nuts and bolts on the magnet (same amount throughout the experiment)
Tip magnet upside down and observe how many nuts and bolts fall off of the magnet.
Record observations.
