The Central Government in the
Ministry of Water Resources has
circulated Model Bill to all the state
governments for enactment. So far
the states of Andhra Pradesh, Goa,
Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal,

Territories of Lakshdweep,
Chandigarh and Pondicherry have
promulgated the state legislations.
