2. The aim of the audience feedback was so that my partner and I
could get a better understanding of what our target audience
wanted and expected from our products. We asked people who
best fit our target audience which were teenagers who lived in or
around London so the feedback can as representative as
possible.
The questions were based on our products and our initial
ideas.
3. We first wanted to get feedback on our title name concepts. The
first title we wanted to get feedback on was ‘Bruvahood’. The
feedback was that they didn’t like the spelling of it and felt that it
followed to closely with existing films of the same genre such as
Adulthood and believed this title didn’t allow it its own identity of
uniqueness. We then wanted feedback on the title concept we
liked the most, which was ‘Bonded By Blood’. The feedback
received was positive and our audience said that they liked it
because it was unique, carried a good underlining message
and linked well with the genre and theme of our trailer.
4. The next thing we wanted to get feedback on was locations. We showed
them a number of locations on a PowerPoint including locations such as
train stations, car parks, alley ways and so on and asked then asked
them if these were places they would associate with street crime and
places they would expect to see in this type of genre. They all agreed
and some even gave us other suggestions they would like to see such
as fields and certain areas within our school grounds.
5. Another important aspect we wanted to get feedback on
was the music. We played a number of songs throughout the
meeting without them being aware that they had any
significance to our work and asked them if it was music they
would expect to see in this type of genre of film.
6. Overall, our audience feedback was very positive. They liked the fact
that we were focusing on British street crime, which was relatable to
them. They also agreed that the concept and individual aspects we
had taken into consideration were very important in representing
the genre and the message trying to be conveyed. They said that
they saw similarities with what we were trying to do, and existing
films but at the same time having its own uniqueness and
individuality. They strongly believed we were making a successful
British crime genre trailer which was very representative and
relatable.
