The pitch for our music video

1. By Daniel, Mehsaan and Baris.

2. Artiste
 Our lead artist’s name is undecided names we are considering are, Eazy J,
Logan sama, concrete J.
 We chose to feature him as he is known for creating music from our genre and
is a well received up and coming underdog from the rap world.
 He also has the ‘look’ that we find most representative of the idea we are trying
to portray in our music video.

3. Jyrrel
 We have chosen to feature jyrrel as our lead artiste, this is due to the fact
that he has the physical attributes and is accustomed to the mannerisms
that most artists of our genre have.
 For example most artists of our genre are tall and slim as well as being part
of some sort of ‘skater’ culture.
 Jyrrel also regularly enjoys music from our genre so he knows the songs
well which enable him to play the role of an artist from such a genre well.

4. Genre – Hip Hop
 We have chosen to make a music video for the genre Hip Hop - Rap. We
have chosen to follow this genre as this is what our knowledge is most
extensive on, moreover our artist has a good idea of what the genre’s
element are and it’s codes of convention. Due to the fact that this is
what our knowledge is most extensive on, if we were to do a different
genre then it would not be to the best of our ability.

Our group is undecided as to which of these two songs
we should use for our music video.

6. Promotion
In order to promote our artist we will use the internet as a
promotion tool because we will be designing a website and a
digipack for this.
Through promoting our artist of a website can appeal to a
larger number of audience as people all around the world can
have access to our web page. This would increase the
popularity of the artist and album making it more successful.

7. Target audience
We will be targeting long-time fans of rap and it is well known that rap
has fans from many different cultures and races, it is unlikely fans who
have newly discovered rap will take a liking to our genre as they have not
delved very deeply into rap culture and are likely to only enjoy
mainstream rap. Due to the fact that our target audience are long time
fans of rap it is difficult to put a demographic on them, but the closest
thing to one is older males of the ages between 26 and 31. They are likely
to enjoy this type of music because it is underground rap and long time
fans enjoy unique lyrical rap rather than mainstream.

8. Style
We will be styling Jyrrel in the method of underground
rap artists such as Issa Gold, Earl sweatshirt and Joey
bada$$. This is to say clothing he will be wearing will be
fashionable but do not suggest opulence. As he is slim
and wears such apparel he fits the bill quite well.

9. General ideas
General ideas for our music video have been quite
widespread so far we don’t have one idea for a video we
want to do but many, due to this we thought to pitch 2 of
them to you to see which you like best.
