TV Rating Research
The main purpose of doing this research on the relationship between fantasy football participation and
TV rating is if playing fantasy football helps influences people to watch televised games of the
National Football League (NFL). The main reason of me doing this research is because I truly believe
in this study and I have past experience of being part of the human beings that have helped the NFL on
their TV ratings.
With this research topic I will be answering three research question. My primary research question:
Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting lineups spark an increase in TV ratings
in those games? Second research question: Having NFL players that are on high winning teams
increase TV ratings? Third research question: A game with a small margin of victory increase TV
ratings.
Research Question One
Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting lineups spark an increase in TV ratings
in those games? To find results you have to look at players that were starting in fifty percent to ninety
percent of leagues. Also need to look at results from Sunday night football, Monday night football,
NFL on CBS, and NFL on ESPN. I found some great tables to help picture the results.
With looking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finding these results they looked at NFL players that were in between fifty percent to ninety percent
of fantasy football leagues. They also tested it on the most popular football channels such as NBC and
ESPN. People already believe that having those NFL players that are on high winning teams increase
TV rating but really it all depends what channel it s shown on. For NBC, studies show that there were
notable conclusion between the winning percentage and NFL players but this was only shown with
NFL players starting greater than ninety percent of leagues. ESPN was the opposite. They had notable
results with players starting in greater than fifty percent of

Arm Processor Project Report Using Rfid
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Under considerations to regional surroundings, laws and regulations,
communication efficiency, interference and transmission cost, this study proposes a wireless ARM
based automatic meter reading and control system (WAMRCS). The WAMRCS uses sampling circuits
and A/D convertor to transfer analog signal of voltage and current into digital data. The digital data
then send to embedded system to compute power parameters. This embedded system will send power
parameters to regional monitoring and control center of utility company via wireless module
connected with it. This WAMRCS applied on distribution automation can save personnel expense of
hiring reading meter workers and can be free from human involvement; more ... Show more content

History Of The Woodstock Music Festival Of 1969
In early 1969 four men were trying to create a music festival. They had quite a few speed bumps along
the way. Financial and locations struggles were the first to slow them down. After they got those two
figured out they had to worry about the music. Then in April 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival
signed, after they signed people started lining up to play. The music, venue, and money now settled,
they could start selling tickets. August 15th to 18th of 1969 in Bethel, NY 200,000 music lovers
showed up to listen to great music. To this day the famous festival is still talked about also known as
Woodstock.
Woodstock was originally supposed to be a recording studio. It was a small city in New York that
many musicians had moved to by the late ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With police doing that it resulted in many cars getting left on the roads or on the shoulders of
highways, which made the traffic even worse. Many roads were blocked off because of the cars that
people abandoned. The people who pitched tents to camp tore down the unfinished construction.. The
transportation and roadblocks were not the only problems at Woodstock; they had only estimated that
about 150,000 would show up for all three days of the festival. When there were about 500,000 people
who came, new problems arose such as lack of food, water supply, sanitation, and medical care. Due
to all the chaos the food suppliers threaten to quit at the last minute. The rain caused the concertgoers
to sleep in the mud, some slept on cardboard in the mud, and people slept in cars that were around that
weren t theirs. The performers had to be transported by helicopter from their hotels to the stage.
The biggest thing that the organizers were not prepared for was the rain on the day the festival started.
All three days the conditions were mud, no sleep, rain, drugs, more mud, and even more smiles. No
matter what, Rain or shine, all the concertgoers stayed even if the conditions were bad. At the festival,
it is suggested that there were many people who had possession of drugs and alcohol. It is hard to tell
how many people actually possessed, since drugs were practically legal during the festival because

Potato Core Osmosis Lab Report
In the Potato Core Osmosis Lab, the main purpose of the experiment was to test the different amounts
of corn syrup on potatoes. A variety of potatoes were distributed and placed into unknown amounts of
corn syrup which range from no corn syrup to 100% corn syrup. Then the following day, the results
were recorded on the size of the potato. Results stated that as the amount of syrup increased, the
smaller the potato got. The hypothesis stated that if the potatoes were placed in a high percent of
syrup, then it would shrink, which corresponds to the results causing the hypothesis to be supported.
Soon results were shared and connections were made. Even though all the results weren t identical, the
numbers still shared similarities as it was only a few decimals off. Most of the initial and final masses
were the same; however, the change in mass varied. These results may relate to a miscalculation or
mistake in using the formula. Although, when the numbers were graphed, all the points increased and
kept the same order. Other researchers had similar problems but overall had the same idea. ... Show

For instance, corn syrup is hypertonic which means that water is leaving the cell causing it so shrink.
Therefore, if the potato is placed in this type of solution then it will lose its water. Along with that,
there s hypotonic, which means that water is going into the object causing it to grow. This term
corresponds to the potato that was tested to zero percent corn syrup, which is another way of saying
that one of the potatoes was tested in water. As a result, the potato grew and it gives an explanation on
why the potato in Substance A grew. These results were extremely significant because it gives an
explanation on how different substance can affect the size of

Death And The Elimination Of Narcissism
There are five stages to the human life cycle, birth, infancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
Some people complete every stage, but tragically others do not. Although not everyone will be able to
fulfill every stage of life, all people will face something in common regardless on how it happens:
death. The significance of death to a person, among a few other aspects, is what determines how most
people live their life. To a Christian, death is not the end, but the beginning of a new life, the afterlife.
However, to an Existentialist, a person who perceives life as being determined by their own
development through acts of their will, death is the end of their existence. Whether a person believes
in the afterlife or not, the fact that everyone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a person does not obtain nirvana, they cannot escape the cycle of death and rebirth and will
inevitably be reborn into one of the 6 realms heaven, hell, animal, human life, asura and hungry ghost.
Heaven is the highest realm one can achieve, in Buddhism, there are 37 levels of heaven where beings
experience peace and lasting happiness without suffering. The Human life is the second highest realm
one can enter. In buddhism, humans can be reborn into human life repetitively being attractive or
unattractive, wealthy or poor, every state is a result of the Karma a person has brought with them from
previous experiences. Asura is a spiritual state of Demigods, but not like the jubilant heavenly
environment in the Heaven realm. Instead, in the Asura state Demigods are consumed with jealousy,
because unlike humans, they can can clearly see the superior situation of the gods in heaven above
them. Demigods constantly compete and struggle with the gods due to their dissatisfaction with their
desires from others. Hungry ghost is the spiritual realm of those who have committed excessive
amounts of evil deeds and are obsessed with finding food and drinks which they cannot experience,
thus remaining unsatisfied and tortured by the experience. In the constant searching the exhaust
themselves. The Animal realm is the second worse realm a person can obtain. Visible to humans, it is
where spirits of humans are reborn if they have killed animals or have committed a lot of other evil
acts. Animals do not have the freedom that humans have due to being constantly hunted by humans,
used for farming and being beasts used for entertainment. The Hell state is not visible to humans. It is
a place where beings born there experience a constant state of excruciating pain. The various hell
realms reads like a variety of horrific torture chambers. Those with a

Snapshots of Miss Emily in A Rose for Emily
A Rose for Miss Emily by William Faulkner is a story of quiet lonliness and tragedy. The story ends
on a surprising note, but one for which the reader is not totally unprepared. Faulkner very cleverly
uses changing pictures of Miss Emily s physical state to give the reader a clue as to what is transpiring
inside her.
The picture or tableau of Emily in her childhood gives us our first clue into her strange personality.
She is a slender figure in white in the background, her father a spraddled silhouette in the foreground,
his back to her and clutching a horsewhip, the two of them framed by the back flung front door. The
scene almost blatantly reveals Emily in her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The turning point comes after Miss Emily has met and possibly fallen in love with Homer Barron. It is
this scene that clues the reader in to the surprising ending. They have been seeing each other long
enough for the subject of marriage to come up when we next see her at the druggist s counter. Here
she is pictured as thinner than usual, with cold, haughty black eyes in a face the flesh of which was
strained across the temples and about the eyesockets . . . The description somewhat reminds us of a
sinister looking skeleton, and somehow, we just know she is up to no good when she purchases the
arsenic from the druggist.
We know life is ebbing when we next see Miss Emily, but we can tell that she is stubbornly hanging
on. She had grown fat and her hair was turning gray. Faulkner goes into great detail in describing hair.
I believe hair is a symbol not only of youth and of life, but also of strength. In describing her hair as
vigorous iron gray, like the hair of an active man, he alludes to her tenacity to hang on to her ways.
Our final glimpse of Miss Emily before she dies is a picture of a soul which is nearly shut off from
life. Now and then the townspeople see her through one of the downstairs windows. The upstairs and
that part of her

Balloon Bonanza TV Commercial
1. The total length of the TV commercial is about one minute and forty nine seconds long.
2. The product s name is Balloon Bonanza. The commercial describes the product as a faster and
easier way to fill up water balloons in one preparation. Not only is there a total of forty balloons on
one tube, but also is already pre tied. The Aqua technology automatically ties the balloons before they
fall off. Just in a couple seconds you will have perfect balloons sealed and ready to use. Balloon

balloon. The device is supposed to be hooked up to a water hose, so the water can be channeled into
separate cylinders attached to each balloon.

Throughout the video the location is outdoors. In the scene there are three children trying to launch a
water balloon at someone. The boys are wearing swim shorts, while the girl is wearing a bathing suit.
The girl is sitting on the floor pulling the water balloon and boys are holding the different sides of the
string. They didn t tell the names of the children in the video. The time of the video is zero and thirty
six seconds. The style of editing used in the scene is Leit motif. It involves repeating a scene so the
audience feels like they are also participating in the commercial. For instance, in the video the
children were playing by the lake and just having fun. It made me feel like I m also participating in
their water balloon fight.
7. In my personal opinion I think the value of this video is to persuade children to spend time
outdoors. The commercial shows how children should be using their time, rather sitting indoors in
front of a computer.
8. The children don t have full lines, but they do say some words. Such as, boom, POW, and bang.
Throughout the video there is a voice over explaining the function of balloon bonanza and the
different uses. In the background you can hear splash of water and a subtle sound of a guitar. There s

Essay about Analysis of the Head Start Program
The purpose of this essay is to offer a concise description of the Head Start program, discuss the
historical background of the policy, and analyze the economic and political forces that have influenced
the development of the program. The essay also seeks to evaluate both the manifest and latent
functions of the policy, consider the current debate around Head Start, describe the ideologies and
values that have framed the debate around Head Start, and offer recommendations regarding the
program.
Head Start Program
Overview of the Policy The Head Start Program, typically referred to solely as Head Start, is offered
by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program was inaugurated in 1964 as a
means of preparing children ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The average cost per child per year is $7,600 (Administration for Children and Families, 2010).
According to the Administration for Children and Families (2010), Head Start is a national program
that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through
the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and
families (para. 3). Based on this mission subject, it is possible to subject Head Start to a program
evaluation based on the following questions: (a) Is Head Start provisioning educational, health,
nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families? (b) Is the provisioning of
educational, health, nutritional, social and other services leading to an enhancement of the social and
cognitive development of children? (c) Is the social and cognitive development of children a social
good for which taxpayers should pay $7 billion a year? These questions will be addressed, both
directly and indirectly, later in this overview.
Historical Context The Head Start Program was established the year Lyndon B. Johnson became
President in 1964 as part of a major swing to the Democratic Party in the United States. Johnson and
his fellow Democrats in Congress presided over the creation of the so called Great Society

Fantasy Literature
Fantasy Literature and Fantastic Language
ENG 290
Rachel De Luise
University of Phoenix
For the assignment I am to choose one poem and one work of fantasy from two different cultural
traditions. Choosing the fantasy was easy, but choosing the poem was a little difficult for me. For the
poem, I chose High Flight by John Gillespie Magee, Jr. The poem was listed in our textbook as a
sonnet. A sonnet is a very old form of poetry, having gained prominence during the Renaissance
period. It is also very sophisticated form and therefore not found much in poetry for children(Russell,
Chapter 6, 2009). A sonnet contains fourteen lines; each line with five iambic feet or ten syllables. The
rhyme scheme follows one of two different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The writer used fantasy to describe what it might be like in heaven and all things you can do in
heaven. I think the fact that this is a poem is great. Poems are a good way to appeal to people.
Especially in the world today. Poems do not take that much time to read or comprehend. They are
simple and get the point across in a fun way. After reading this poem I think it represents kinesthetic
images because kinesthetic images refers to actions or motions. The work of fantasy I chose is Peter
and Wendy. A fantasy is any story of the impossible. Peter and Wendy is a fantasy story that is now
called Peter Pan. Peter is a boy who does not want to grow up. He flew into Wendy s room and lost his
shadow. Once they found his shadow Wendy sewed it back on so he would not loose it again. While
getting his shadow sewn back on Peter began telling Wendy and her siblings stories of Neverland. He
told them that in Neverland you never have to grow up. Wendy and her siblings wanted to go with
Peter. Peter sprinkled them with pixie dust and they all flew to Neverland where they met The Lost
Boys, Captain Hook, and Tiger Lilly. Their journey to Neverland was filled with action and fantasy. In
my opinion this fantasy would be considered a journey fantasy because they all go on a journey to
Neverland. It can also be considered a magical fantasy because people do not really fly. I think

Whaling is Killing Thousands, Bringing Whales to Near...
Since the dawn of civilization, humans ruled earth, taking what they pleased without worrying about
the consequences. Modern society has evolved to understand the fundamental flaw in consuming the
world s resources with abandon. As with the hunting of many other species, whaling was an
unregulated activity. However, in 1986, the world community shifted its stance on whaling and passed
international legislation banning commercial whaling. Dangerously close to being snuffed out, the
whales have begun to claw their way back from extinction. Despite the positive strides taken on the
behalf of whales, the murder of thousands of whales each year is sanctioned by a number of countries
under the guise of scientific research. Moreover, in many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite claiming the slaughter is needed to learn more about whales, Japan has not offered any new
worthwhile information about whales, with the exception that they eat large quantities of krill (Zelko,
2013, p. A. 13) . Japan has been using this excuse, among many others, since 1986. In the decades
Japan has used this excuse, it seems almost ridiculous that Japan has not learned anything new about
the mammals breeding, migratory, or any other habits. When Australia took Japan to the International
Court of Justice to challenge the validity of Japan s scientific whaling industry, Australia s agent to the
court, Bill Campbell, stated, Japan seeks to cloak its ongoing commercial whaling in the lab coat of
science. He later told journalists: You don t kill 935 whales a year to conduct scientific research. You
don t even need to kill one whale to conduct scientific research (McCurry, 2013) .
Many whaling countries give the excuse that hunting whales is traditional. In Japan, this justification
is baseless. Japan did not begin whaling until after World War II (Zelko, 2013, p. A. 13) . In other
places such as the Faroe Islands, the practice is actually traditional as it has taken place ever since the
Viking settlers arrived there (O Barry, 2013, p. 18) . Traditions are not always morally correct. Most
customs are not harmful, but whaling is not one of them. Hanging African Americans was once seen
as an acceptable custom as was burning women at the stake for being

The Central Lesson By Jack Welch
Thesis The central lesson the author, Jack Welch, is trying to teach is how to win in the business and
corporate world from usually the point of view of a CEO or manager. Winning companies are the only
things that count because losing has no value to anyone. As I read the book, I came to the reasoning
that Welch s major lesson here is that a business and its CEO will win through candor. Candor had its
own chapter but was also mentioned throughout the whole book, highlighting that candor takes part in
every aspect he discussed in business in order to win. Candor is part of hiring, firing, Six Sigma,
budgeting, leadership, and several other aspects. Most importantly though, it is essential to strategy a
significant topic discussed in this course. Welch defines candor as the biggest dirty little secret in
business . He argues that candor has hurt firms, in which they could have been better off and he is
speaking internally, not the external competition. Candor leads to winning by: getting more people in
the conversation which develops rich ideas; creating speed, meaning it is right there and then where
you can debate quickly; and, it decreases costs such as those long boring meetings discussing known
information (27). It really caught my attention how Welch commented that the lack of candor comes
from our childhoods and backgrounds where we know that staying quiet helps us avoid troubles,
messes, awkwardness, rejection, more work, and the like. How does one overcome

Monster Persuasive Speech
When I say monsters , I don t mean the ones that only come out at night and hide in the darkness, I m
talking about the monsters that reside in our minds. The monsters that we deal with on a daily basis,
and overwhelm us if we don t control them. We all have these monsters, no matter if they are huge or
minuscule, and how much they affect our lives. The monsters that I deal with are constantly driving
me towards procrastination and anxiety, and I must learn to overcome, or I will be consumed.
Procrastination, possibly the worst and most destructive monster I have. Procrastination is the reason
for most of my problems, and I can never overcome it. I live with it, and it is a part of me, so
overcoming it is out of the question. The best I can do is deal with it. Procrastination was best
explained by Tim Urban, who compared the brain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anxiety is my second biggest monster, partly because it is a huge side effect of procrastination. It is a
constant stress in the back of the mind that only says negative things about the future. A voice that
tells the victim, You won t get that paper done, you re going to fail. A voice that never stops and tells
the victim that they did a good job, because according to anxiety, I can only do wrong. It is anxiety
that limits the victim from doing great things because of the failures along the way, and the inability to
forget the bad, and focus only on the good. The glass is always half empty for anxiety, which means it
is almost impossible for the victim to think positively about the future. I compare anxiety to
Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone, attached to Professor Quirrell s head, constantly
whispering evil commands. Anxiety is a silent killer, and a hard one to deal with, but it is easier to
overcome than procrastination. It is my second worst monster because I can overcome anxiety in short
spans, and I can halt the effects it at some

Analysis of Pink Floyd s Song, Mother Essay
Analysis of Pink Floyd s Song, Mother
Had Sigmund Freud lived 40 more years (to the overripe old age of 123), he would have been
delighted to hear such a wonderful example of his life s psychoanlytic work embodied in the haunting
lyrics of Mother. Or had Oedipus lived a few millennium longer than his fictional death he would have
found an adversary in the youthful Pink, a young boy whose desire for maternal acceptance and love
is arguably equal to the greatest mother centered protagonists in the history of literature. Contrary to
the eye gouging antics of Oedipus or even the grandiose melodrama later in Floyd s album, Mother is
relatively low key and emotionally subtle. The music itself is interestingly split, though with few if

So why would the band choose to illustrate such a serious stage of personal development with the
nursery rhyme like style of the song s chorus? Before we get to that, the song s emotional and
psychological message must first be examined.
Similar to the music, the lyrics are as subtle as they are unsettling. Although the song takes a
seemingly forthright form of question and answer, the psychological implications behind the lyrics are
far from being simple and straightforward. Although the battling was over, the effects of World War II
were still extent in the years following the atrocious fight. The destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
by the atomic bomb as well as the deaths of millions of Holocaust victims and soldiers were all too
fresh in the global consciousness. Fears of nuclear warfare and continued fighting ran rampant through
the post war world, instilling a sense of uncertainty in the generations of and following the war. Such
fears are blatantly reflected by the first line of the song in which Pink asks his mother if they ll drop
the bomb, referring to the apprehension of enemy retaliation. However, this line, as well as the
majority of the lyrics, is open to a wide range of interpretation. Because of the psychological tendency
to group people into two main categories (those like us and those apart from us, or the Other) coupled
with the recent divisions of global powers in the war, one automatically assumes that the they Pink
refers to is the

Ashwin Jadeja s performance in this series so far
Cricket has always been a game majorly dominated by batsman and producing good bowlers was
always a challenge. When it came to spin bowling it was a bigger challenge; spin was always
considered more of an art, It requires more patience and character. It is more of deceiving batsman
with variations, loop and the dip rather than terrorizing the batsman with pace. Slowly over the years
there has been a change, captains have started recognizing it as more of wicket taking option, the
pitches have started yielding results too which has brought all the options into the game. Indian spin
bowling has never looked so special or watchable in last 4 5 years when compared to last year and

Algeria After Independence Essay
After independence (1962 1999)
The Evian Accords which were signed in 1962 giving Algeria immediate independence and French aid

Algeria. In return the FLN guaranteed protection and civil rights for the French Algerians choosing to
remain in the country, and the option of choosing either French or Algerian nationality after three
years.
Eight years of war had shattered Algeria. There had been more than one million Algerian casualties

The country s oil resources were developed and an industrial sector was established. Education and
literacy became a focus of concentration and agricultural land reform continued. In the process the
Boumedienne government developed a socialist political system which was codified in a constitution
in 1976. Under the new constitution Boumedienne was elected president of Algeria and ruled until his
death. However, for all Algeria s accomplishments during this period, imposing authoritarian one
party socialism on a traditional Islamic country was considered a mistake.
When Boumedienne s chosen successor, Colonel Chadli Benjedid, was elected president of Algeria he
began to relax the government s authoritarian practices and made a genuine attempt to solve some of
the country s problems. Benjedid also pardoned Ahmed Ben Bella in 1980 and released him from
house arrest. However, for all his liberal tendencies, Benjedid was a product of the FLN military elite
and was re elected in 1984 because he ran unopposed.
With the fall of oil prices and the resurgence of Islam, the government s credibility fell dramatically.

within is reading to prove that blue collar work is not for unintelligent workers. Rose reflects on his
childhood and early adult hood with many references. Rose also uses many different tones throughout
the duration of Blue Collar Brilliance. Rose uses strong evidence to clearly show his opinion of blue
collar work.
Rose uses References through out the reading to prove his claim of blue collar brilliance. He explains
multiple situations he has been through growing up in a blue collar family. Rose writes about his
memories of watching his mother work as a waitress in a restaurant. He explains the skills and work
ethic he watched his mother learn over the years. Rose states, A waitress acquires knowledge and
intuition about the ways and the rhythms of the restaurant business. Waiting on seven to nine tables,
each with two to six customers, Rosie devised memory strategies so that she could remember who
ordered what (274). The uncle of Rose is also used as a reference in Blue Collar Brilliance. Rose
recalls his Uncle Joe explaining that working in the factory could teach him what school could not.
Rose explains that his uncle: initiated the redesign of the nozzle on a paint sprayer,

The Electoral College Is A Privilege Of A Democratic Society
Voting to elect government officials is a privilege of a democratic society. Every four years, in one of
the most important events in U.S politics, millions of American citizens exercise their voting power by
casting a ballot for a presidential candidate. However, these millions of cast votes elect a small group
of state representatives known as the Electoral College, not the president of the United States. Under
the current voting system the power to elect the president is solely the responsibility of the Electoral
College not the people. Although the Electoral College has a rich history, it is an outdated voting
system and should be replaced by National Popular Vote. This method electing the American president
has been in practice since the eighteenth century. Two years after Americans gained independence
from the British, representatives from twelve of the thirteen original states gathered in Philadelphia to
write the U.S. Constitution. During that era, the states essentially operated as separate republics and
moreover its own legislative governing bodies. The goal of the document was to establish a strong
central government without diminishing state rights (Ross 21). After extensive debate and
compromise, the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1788, thereby establishing the three branches of
government with executive power granted to the office of president. However, how should the
president be elected? Representatives debated three options: a direct vote by

What Is The Theme Of Society In Fahrenheit 451
As society progresses, technology and customs often progress proportionally. Social customs, and the
way a group of people function as a whole are often altered by significant events or a change in
societal variables. Occasionally, this leads to situations in which certain facets of society begin to
drastically differ from their original form. Take for example, the abolition of slavery in the United
States in 1865. Slavery had been a vastly unchallenged component of American society until that point
(excluding the period of abolition efforts). When this changed, the government had to implement a
number of laws that reversed prior legislation concerning slavery. In many ways, Ray Bradbury s
fictional society in his dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451 mirrors this by presenting a repressive
community in which many factors contribute to mass apathy and a passive state of perpetual passive
occupation. Social contact is central to human happiness, but as our technology increases in its
proficiency, there tends to be a disconnect in interpersonal contact. This feature of society is predicted
64 years ahead of time, and is highlighted frequently throughout the book, manifested in Mildred s ear
seashells and talking walls for entertainment. On a walk with Montag, Clarisse mentions that she is
often ostracized from her peers due to her antisocial tendencies. However, the audience must pause to
consider what she means by antisocial here to fully grasp the gravity and relevance of her

Alienation In Benjamin Franklin s IsnT Everyone A Little...
Complete success isolates a person from his fellows, but suffering makes kinsmen of us all. In a way,
people who are exotic develop faster than those who share the same attitudes towards each other and
the sense of belonging can either benefit or corrupt an individual in alienation. But, those who do not
agree with the social norms have greater impacts in the world s growth and development. Thus, people
do not need to belong in order to be successful, fulfilled members of society because outsiders see
things from a different and valuable perspective, learn to be more independent and progress farther
than others.
To begin, people do not need to belong to be successful because outsiders see things from a different,
more valuable perspective. Alienation provides the creativity one can grasp as explained in the short
story, Isn t Everyone a Little Bit Weird. In the short story, one of the framers of the United States
constitution, Benjamin Franklin, is portrayed both as a genius and as an odd man; expressing Franklin
s peculiar habits and actions. However, despite the fact of being unusual, he saw things in ways in
which other people accepted as fact. The author of Isn t Everyone a Little Bit Weird writes, It may
have been Franklin s weirdness that made him great (para. 6). Conveying the significance of acquiring
divergent habits and how success can generate prosperity and success. On the other hand, some may
argue that the sense of belonging can espy viewpoints that are

Unique Collective Phenomenon Summary
History progresses throughout time, but so does society. This perpetual and inevitable change that
graces society creates conflict and harmony within societal groups, forcing individuals to pick sides.
With this, we see the developments of social movements that not only embrace, but reject these
perpetual and inevitable changes. The organization of a social movement calls for tactful and strategic
form of communication within the group that is banding together.
In chapter one of The Social Movement as a Unique Collective Phenomenon, the twentieth century is
labeled as the age of the social movement, for the significant impact that social movements had on not

Charting social movement s birth and death is nearly impossible because of how unpredictable they
can be. Detecting the cycles of a social movement is more efficient, for it remains consistent
throughout all type of groups. There are five stages of a social movement: genesis, social unrest,
enthusiastic mobilization, maintenance, and termination. Genesis consist of pre existing conditions
that flower into more noticeable issues within the media. This stage is usually subtle and slow, but
triggering incidence propel social movements into the second stage, social unrest. In this stage, the
social movement has caught the attention of the media allowing the group to expel most of their
rhetorical energies during this stage. After the social movement establishes a common ideology, they
are subject to the enthusiastic mobilization phase where the social movement hits its peak. It becomes
more assertive and provokes institutional and public outrage. Leaders begin to rise and stir up
excitement causing their supporters to grow in number. This can lead to revolutionary results and
notable achievements. In stage four, the social movement begins to die out. The maintenance stage
allows the social movement to fundraise and recruit new members. The after math of the revolutionary
acts of the social movements resonates within the media calling for a more calm and

Findley Mentioned The Binoculars
Page 165 Structure The time is written with a period rather than a colon. I found this odd as I had
never seen this before. Ex. 11.55 rather than 11:55. I wonder if this is done intentionally, a change in
punctuation over time, or a stylistic choice. Rhetoric A French word is used in the middle of a
sentence: reveille which means to wake up (Findley 165). Is this done to refer to the setting in France?
Question Robert mentions that he had left his binoculars in his kit bag. I wonder if this is a conscious
decision to keep that part in the text. Immediately, it had reminded me of the German soldier as he too
was seen with the binoculars. Is it a coincidence that Findley mentioned the binoculars among other
things? Page 166 Animals/Question ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Captain Leather will be remembered for when he dies. As Euripides had said, Never that which is

of his own? I feel this could also be alarge indication of Leather s insanity that has been caused by the
war. He is perhaps so insane that he felt justified in his actions by killing Devlin over the matter of the

How Does Beowulf Show Courage
Beowulf was a valiant, courageous, honorable warrior. Beowulf, who is the main character in the epic
poem Beowulf , was widely known to possess highly sought after traits. For examples, we will use his
strength, nobility, and perseverance that he displays every day of his life. However, we are going to
focus on his other personality traits of honor, bravery, and courage in this very informative essay.
First, let us look at Beowulf s honor. There is no question that his honor lust is earmarked in every
single one of his actions. Every act he committed was contemplated and examined to be performed in
the most honorable way possible. Much like the Japanese society in today s modern day and age, his
decisions always were thought out to have some kind of honor. Referencing to lines 265 through 269,
he remarks how Higlac, his uncle and king, would think less of him had he used a shield and sword in
the battle with an unarmed monster. Sure, this may seem much like common sense, of not wanting to

Courage, by definition, is The ability to do something that frightens one s self . This, may sound an
awful lot like Bravery, the last topic that we had discussed. However, courage and bravery is not the
same thing, just very similar. I will first reference lines 113 and 114, where Beowulf declared that a
boat shall be outfitted for the trip from Geatland to Denmark, in order to assist the Danes with their
plight. This single action alone launched us into the world of Beowulf, letting us see. Perhaps, if that
is not convincing, we should look at lines 370 through 374, where Beowulf and his men stood, ready
to fight, and die for their beliefs. Concluding this segment, we shall look at lines 465 through 466,
where, despite being an elderly man who had ruled Geatland for fifty years, stood his ground of
against the dragon, and courageously died to for the protection of

Essay Victorian Era Fashion
Introduction The Victorian Era is a remarkable time in history with the blooming industries, growing
population, and a major turnaround in the fashion world. This era was named after Queen Victoria
who ruled United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from June 1837 until she passed away 64
years later in January 1901.When Victoria received the crown, popular respect was strikingly low. The
lack of respect for the position she had just come into did not diminish her confidence. Instead she
won the hearts of Britain with her modesty, grace, straightforwardness, and her want to be informed
on the political matters at hand even though she had no input. She changed Britain into a flourishing
country. She also impacted how women interacted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Queen Victoria was born on May 24, 1819, in Kensington Palace in London. Her parents were
Edward, the Duke of Kent, and Princess Victoria of Saxe Coburg. When Queen Victoria was 8 months
old her father passed away, and her mother reacted by shunning Victoria s uncles on her father s side,
William IV and George IV. Having had a secluded upbringing her personality hardened and she grew
into having strong prejudices towards others and became very stubborn. She was also inclined to self
pity. Her mother s advisor Sir John Conroy twisted her childhood from her. He was the one who had
convinced her mother to shun the uncles, and convinced her to raise Victoria by the Kensington
system. This system isolated Victoria from most, and, in Conroy s hopes, would make her depend on
him to rule the country. When both her uncle s passed away before succeeding the throne, at 18 years
old she became the Queen, and she did so alone. The one thing her mother did teach her was to be
cautious in who she friended. Victoria s memory held firm of those who mistreated her, and she was
not one to forgive and forget . Queen Victoria disagreed with some of the traditions and values that
had been around. For one she hated childbirth and everything to do with children, yet she was
supposed to represent motherhood and family and she did. Even though she

Behind E commerce, the driving force is linked with the arrival of commercial Internet technology

Analysis Of The Story Happy Birthday Chrissie
Introduction
In an apartment in New York City a woman cried in her room. The woman was 23 and would usually
be called beautiful but today her hair was unkempt and her face was covered in the same smudged
makeup from the day before. Her room was trashed, and the woman was curled on her bed hugging a
banner that read happy birthday. The rest of the house seemed untouched. In the living room a pile of
gifts lay wrapped on the table and a painstakingly crafted cake stood on the counter the inscription in
bright blue happy lettering read Happy Birthday Chrissie. A note lay on the counter next to the cake, a
note that Chrissie would never forget. The note marked the change in Chrissie s life her life would
now be split: before the accident and after. The note was written by a man named Aaron, the man who
baked the cake. Upstairs Chrissie cried, alone, in the same position she had lay for hours, to her it
seemed like that was her whole life. She clutched the birthday banner that was meant to celebrate her
23rd but would now just mark the day of the accident.

Chaucer And The Pardoner s Tale
The Life of Chaucer and the Pardoners Tale Geoffrey Chaucer, the father of English poetry, was born
in England in 1342. He was born to a middle class family. His father was a successful wine merchant.
Because of this, Chaucer was exposed to people who hung down by the London docks, which later
effected his writing style. He eventually started to work in the royal household, where he was
respected and known. His job was to run errands for the household, but he was exposed to higher
living and became closer to those kinds of people. However, he was called to fight in 1359, when the
Hundred Years War broke out in France. It was there that he was taken prisoner sometime that year.

The story follows the adventures of a larger than life character named Beowulf. This character is
famous for slaying monstrous beasts, having incredible strength, and qualities considered optimal in
the world of the Germanic tribes. Beowulf relates to Herricks poem because like many of the warriors
in his day, they held Epicurean beliefs. The Germanic people believed that death is final and that there
is no afterlife. Their warriors were only interested in finding treasures of their enemies and honor from
their king. They fought to earn riches and armor and any other thing that they desired. Beowulf was
one of these men as well. When he killed the beast Grendel, he took his arm and hung it from the
rafters for everybody to see. When he went to kill the Dragon, he knew that he would not be coming
back from the battle alive. He said that if he died, he wanted a massive tower built to him to honor
him. In the battle with the dragon, he is mortally wounded. As he is dying, he tells his friend Wiglaf to
bring over the dragons treasure so he can see it before he dies. This proves perfectly that Beowulf and
his fellow warriors are concerned with earthly things (riches) and enjoy earthly things. This relates to
the poem because the poem talks about making use of our time

Cultural Barriers To The Romans
The gospel is the foundation of the faith and without it there nothing. Romans 1:16 states it is the
power of God that brings salvation to everyone that believes .1 There are a lot of churches which do
missions and other fine works but they fail when proclaiming the gospel. They proclaim portions of
which are non offensive to people. Hell will not be talked about, sexual sin never mentioned or any
other type of sin. The need is for healthy churches, who then in turn are more likely to send healthy
mission teams out into the field. The world desperately needs an untainted gospel. The power of the
gospel is the best tool to break down barriers. When the Apostle Paul wrote Romans, he was crossing
cultural barriers, he stated in Romans 1: 14 15 14 I am under obligation both to Greeks and to
barbarians,[d] both to the wise and to the foolish. 15 So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also

wages and benefits in order to attract talent from existing local companies.
As a British protectorate, without having to contribute tax revenue to the United Kingdom, Guernsey
enjoys the national security, political stability and the advanced financial systems offered by the UK
Crown. Figures released as recently as January 30th 2013 from Guernsey Finance state that Guernsey
remains the domicile of incorporation for more non UK entities listed on the London Stock Exchange
(LSE) than any other jurisdiction globally ; meaning that Guernsey continues to provide a gateway to
accessing capital from around the world.
This convenient state of affairs is not without its challenges. To date, non EU member Guernsey has
resisted pressure from the EU to establish a level playing field with the EU members and set a
corporate tax rate of 10%. However, it is important to note that the pro forma calculations confirm that
even if Guernsey were to adopt a 10% levy on corporate taxation, Guernsey would still remain the
most profitable location for Quattroporte compared to Malta and Ireland.
Malta
Malta is an independent island nation located south of Italy in the Mediterranean Sea, a member of the
European Union, and utilizes the Euro as its national currency. Malta s strengths as a tax haven for
corporate entities rely in the low rates of corporate taxation and a

Taguchi s Design Of Experiments Analysis
In the present study two types of methodologies have been effectively utilized to conduct the
experiments in a scientific manner, one is Taguchi s Design of Experiments (DOE) and other method
of design of experiments were based on randomly selected combination of cutting process parameters
is shown below figure. Previous literature a chapter has involved that Azmi and Lin et al. investigated
the machinability of uni directional glass fiber reinforced (GFRP) composites [42, 60]. Recently, some
of investigators have stated experimental results based on parametric studies to evaluate the surface
quality characteristics such as machining force, surface roughness and delamination damage [31,34,38

4.2. Design of Experiments (DOE) Over 60 to 70 % of machined products have been rejected due to
lack of attention in machinability evaluation before machining. This may be lead to indirect affect on
cost effective escalation in production industries. Therefore, predicting the outcome by introducing a
change of the preconditions and this will be reflected on the results. Taguchi s DOE would be more
effective and acceptable tool for technical investigations. The desirable machinability evaluation
thoroughly obtained by statistical design of experiments (DOE). Reliable results also would be
obtained by full factorial or partial factorial technique. 4.2.1 Taguchi method Taguchi methods have
been widely used in scientific and engineering design. This technique is focusing to formulating the
performance characteristics of parametric settings with deviation [127, 128]. In this methodology, the
experimental settings (DOE) are arranged systematic as per orthogonal array (OA) that can be reduced
wastage of time and minimize the number of experiments [129]. The effect of different factors on the
performance characteristics in a given combination runs can be examined by using the orthogonal
array (OA). Simultaneously OA experimental design will also provides a number of input factors to
permit the study of their effects and interconnections with the experimental output. Taguchi
optimization technique involves to

Innocent Man
A book Review of The Innocent Man
By, Oscar Thomas
Novelist, former attorney, and Mississippi legislator, John Grisham, wrote the book entitled Innocent
Man. As a small town lawyer in the South, he experienced many events that provided him with a clear
view of families and communities. For this particular book, however, he gathered research that would
provide insight to the justice system of Oklahoma and he found injustice that took the best years of a
man s life.
While reading several selections Grisham book, I conclude that he is definitely pro anti capital
punishment. He really focuses on the lack of justice in the criminal justice system in states
predominately in the South and Midwest area. In these states spending any ... Show more content on

In an era where everyone is so concerned about the money, denying a defendant a reasonable amount
of funding (to his public defender) for expert consultants and their testimonies could save thousands
upon millions of dollars in wrongful prosecution lawsuits later. With the advent of DNA, many
previously convicted men and women are being let out. Interestingly enough, DNA evidence isn t the
ONLY thing that would have exonerated them, but no one would listen. One issue I think Grisham
was trying to help people see is the fact that we should not believe what we THINK, it has to be what
we KNOW. What is the harm in humane treatment? Yes, criminals should be kept from the public, but
since the justice system is not perfect and will make mistakes they shouldn t be so self righteous about
their treatment of those they deem unworthy.
Ron s example was just one of many who, because they are not the smartest, most capable souls, they
make stupid mistakes, their odd behaviors offend many and they are the first ones put under a
microscope when something goes wrong.
In light of recent events, the shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school, multiple bomb and shooting
threats since then, as well as other crimes (NYC subway system) people tend to react in a negative
way toward people they feel are a threat. IF they are odd or quirky, for example, I recently read that in
New York, right after Sandy Hook, a local politician made the

  • 2. TV Rating Research The main purpose of doing this research on the relationship between fantasy football participation and TV rating is if playing fantasy football helps influences people to watch televised games of the National Football League (NFL). The main reason of me doing this research is because I truly believe in this study and I have past experience of being part of the human beings that have helped the NFL on their TV ratings. With this research topic I will be answering three research question. My primary research question: Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting lineups spark an increase in TV ratings in those games? Second research question: Having NFL players that are on high winning teams increase TV ratings? Third research question: A game with a small margin of victory increase TV ratings. Research Question One Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting lineups spark an increase in TV ratings in those games? To find results you have to look at players that were starting in fifty percent to ninety percent of leagues. Also need to look at results from Sunday night football, Monday night football, NFL on CBS, and NFL on ESPN. I found some great tables to help picture the results. With looking ... They also tested it on the most popular football channels such as NBC and ESPN. People already believe that having those NFL players that are on high winning teams increase TV rating but really it all depends what channel it s shown on. For NBC, studies show that there were notable conclusion between the winning percentage and NFL players but this was only shown with NFL players starting greater than ninety percent of leagues. • 4. History Of The Woodstock Music Festival Of 1969 In early 1969 four men were trying to create a music festival. They had quite a few speed bumps along the way. A variety of potatoes were distributed and placed into unknown amounts of corn syrup which range from no corn syrup to 100% corn syrup. Then the following day, the results were recorded on the size of the potato. Results stated that as the amount of syrup increased, the smaller the potato got. The hypothesis stated that if the potatoes were placed in a high percent of syrup, then it would shrink, which corresponds to the results causing the hypothesis to be supported. Soon results were shared and connections were made. Even though all the results weren t identical, the numbers still shared similarities as it was only a few decimals off. Most of the initial and final masses were the same; however, the change in mass varied. These results may relate to a miscalculation or mistake in using the formula. The story ends on a surprising note, but one for which the reader is not totally unprepared. The picture or tableau of Emily in her childhood gives us our first clue into her strange personality. Here she is pictured as thinner than usual, with cold, haughty black eyes in a face the flesh of which was strained across the temples and about the eyesockets . . . Faulkner goes into great detail in describing hair. I believe hair is a symbol not only of youth and of life, but also of strength. In describing her hair as vigorous iron gray, like the hair of an active man, he alludes to her tenacity to hang on to her ways. However, in 1986, the world community shifted its stance on whaling and passed international legislation banning commercial whaling. In the decades Japan has used this excuse, it seems almost ridiculous that Japan has not learned anything new about the mammals breeding, migratory, or any other habits. When Australia took Japan to the International Court of Justice to challenge the validity of Japan s scientific whaling industry, Australia s agent to the court, Bill Campbell, stated, Japan seeks to cloak its ongoing commercial whaling in the lab coat of science. He later told journalists: You don t kill 935 whales a year to conduct scientific research. You don t even need to kill one whale to conduct scientific research (McCurry, 2013) . • 12. The Central Lesson By Jack Welch Thesis The central lesson the author, Jack Welch, is trying to teach is how to win in the business and corporate world from usually the point of view of a CEO or manager. Winning companies are the only things that count because losing has no value to anyone. As I read the book, I came to the reasoning that Welch s major lesson here is that a business and its CEO will win through candor. Candor had its own chapter but was also mentioned throughout the whole book, highlighting that candor takes part in every aspect he discussed in business in order to win. Candor is part of hiring, firing, Six Sigma, budgeting, leadership, and several other aspects. Most importantly though, it is essential to strategy a significant topic discussed in this course. Welch defines candor as the biggest dirty little secret in business . He argues that candor has hurt firms, in which they could have been better off and he is speaking internally, not the external competition. Candor leads to winning by: getting more people in the conversation which develops rich ideas; creating speed, meaning it is right there and then where you can debate quickly; and, it decreases costs such as those long boring meetings discussing known information (27). It really caught my attention how Welch commented that the lack of candor comes from our childhoods and backgrounds where we know that staying quiet helps us avoid troubles, messes, awkwardness, rejection, more work, and the like. Before we get to that, the song s emotional and psychological message must first be examined. Similar to the music, the lyrics are as subtle as they are unsettling. Although the song takes a seemingly forthright form of question and answer, the psychological implications behind the lyrics are far from being simple and straightforward. Although the battling was over, the effects of World War II were still extent in the years following the atrocious fight. The destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the atomic bomb as well as the deaths of millions of Holocaust victims and soldiers were all too fresh in the global consciousness. Fears of nuclear warfare and continued fighting ran rampant through the post war world, instilling a sense of uncertainty in the generations of and following the war. Such fears are blatantly reflected by the first line of the song in which Pink asks his mother if they ll drop the bomb, referring to the apprehension of enemy retaliation. However, this line, as well as the majority of the lyrics, is open to a wide range of interpretation. Every four years, in one of the most important events in U.S politics, millions of American citizens exercise their voting power by casting a ballot for a presidential candidate. However, these millions of cast votes elect a small group of state representatives known as the Electoral College, not the president of the United States. Under the current voting system the power to elect the president is solely the responsibility of the Electoral College not the people. Although the Electoral College has a rich history, it is an outdated voting system and should be replaced by National Popular Vote. This method electing the American president has been in practice since the eighteenth century. Two years after Americans gained independence from the British, representatives from twelve of the thirteen original states gathered in Philadelphia to write the U.S. Constitution. During that era, the states essentially operated as separate republics and moreover its own legislative governing bodies. The goal of the document was to establish a strong central government without diminishing state rights (Ross 21). • 21. What Is The Theme Of Society In Fahrenheit 451 As society progresses, technology and customs often progress proportionally. Social customs, and the way a group of people function as a whole are often altered by significant events or a change in societal variables. Occasionally, this leads to situations in which certain facets of society begin to drastically differ from their original form. Take for example, the abolition of slavery in the United States in 1865. Slavery had been a vastly unchallenged component of American society until that point (excluding the period of abolition efforts). When this changed, the government had to implement a number of laws that reversed prior legislation concerning slavery. In many ways, Ray Bradbury s fictional society in his dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451 mirrors this by presenting a repressive community in which many factors contribute to mass apathy and a passive state of perpetual passive occupation. Social contact is central to human happiness, but as our technology increases in its proficiency, there tends to be a disconnect in interpersonal contact. This feature of society is predicted 64 years ahead of time, and is highlighted frequently throughout the book, manifested in Mildred s ear seashells and talking walls for entertainment. I wonder if this is done intentionally, a change in punctuation over time, or a stylistic choice. Rhetoric A French word is used in the middle of a sentence: reveille which means to wake up (Findley 165). Is this done to refer to the setting in France? Question Robert mentions that he had left his binoculars in his kit bag. I wonder if this is a conscious decision to keep that part in the text. Immediately, it had reminded me of the German soldier as he too was seen with the binoculars. Is it a coincidence that Findley mentioned the binoculars among other things? Is it better to keep them in the stable where they will later be forced into war or let them run around free on a battlefield? Quotation/Madness Captain Leather had killed one of his own men. In a way, this brings up a different concept of killing one of his own men rather than the enemy. Either way, he murdered another being. I thought about this and wondered what Captain Leather will be remembered for when he dies. As Euripides had said, Never that which is shall die, so will Leather be seen as a dutiful captain that was doing his duty, or a traitor for killing one of his own? • 26. How Does Beowulf Show Courage Beowulf was a valiant, courageous, honorable warrior. Beowulf, who is the main character in the epic poem Beowulf , was widely known to possess highly sought after traits. For examples, we will use his strength, nobility, and perseverance that he displays every day of his life. However, we are going to focus on his other personality traits of honor, bravery, and courage in this very informative essay. First, let us look at Beowulf s honor. There is no question that his honor lust is earmarked in every single one of his actions. Every act he committed was contemplated and examined to be performed in the most honorable way possible. Much like the Japanese society in today s modern day and age, his decisions always were thought out to have some kind of honor. Referencing to lines 265 through 269, he remarks how Higlac, his uncle and king, would think less of him had he used a shield and sword in the battle with an unarmed monster. This single action alone launched us into the world of Beowulf, letting us see. Perhaps, if that is not convincing, we should look at lines 370 through 374, where Beowulf and his men stood, ready to fight, and die for their beliefs. This era was named after Queen Victoria who ruled United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from June 1837 until she passed away 64 years later in January 1901.When Victoria received the crown, popular respect was strikingly low. The lack of respect for the position she had just come into did not diminish her confidence. Instead she won the hearts of Britain with her modesty, grace, straightforwardness, and her want to be informed on the political matters at hand even though she had no input. Queen Victoria was born on May 24, 1819, in Kensington Palace in London. Her parents were Edward, the Duke of Kent, and Princess Victoria of Saxe Coburg. When Queen Victoria was 8 months old her father passed away, and her mother reacted by shunning Victoria s uncles on her father s side, William IV and George IV. Having had a secluded upbringing her personality hardened and she grew into having strong prejudices towards others and became very stubborn. She was also inclined to self pity. Her mother s advisor Sir John Conroy twisted her childhood from her. He was the one who had convinced her mother to shun the uncles, and convinced her to raise Victoria by the Kensington system. This system isolated Victoria from most, and, in Conroy s hopes, would make her depend on him to rule the country. When both her uncle s passed away before succeeding the throne, at 18 years old she became the Queen, and she did so alone. The one thing her mother did teach her was to be cautious in who she friended. Victoria s memory held firm of those who mistreated her, and she was not one to forgive and forget . Queen Victoria disagreed with some of the traditions and values that had been around. The story follows the adventures of a larger than life character named Beowulf. This character is famous for slaying monstrous beasts, having incredible strength, and qualities considered optimal in the world of the Germanic tribes. Beowulf relates to Herricks poem because like many of the warriors in his day, they held Epicurean beliefs. The Germanic people believed that death is final and that there is no afterlife. Their warriors were only interested in finding treasures of their enemies and honor from their king. They fought to earn riches and armor and any other thing that they desired. Beowulf was one of these men as well. When he killed the beast Grendel, he took his arm and hung it from the rafters for everybody to see. When he went to kill the Dragon, he knew that he would not be coming back from the battle alive. He said that if he died, he wanted a massive tower built to him to honor him. In the battle with the dragon, he is mortally wounded. As he is dying, he tells his friend Wiglaf to bring over the dragons treasure so he can see it before he dies. This proves perfectly that Beowulf and his fellow warriors are concerned with earthly things (riches) and enjoy earthly things.
