Implant surgery in the edentulous premaxilla is often challenging because of esthetic, phonetic and
biomechanical considerations. In the maxilla, resorption following tooth extraction occurs mainly
within the first 3 12 months post operatively (1). Bone resorption following tooth loss occurs in
both a lingual and apical direction, resulting in an edentulous maxilla that is narrower with a loss
of vertical height. This resorption is responsible for the edge to edge or reverses occlusal relation
of the residual crests that is often observed in patients with completely edentulous maxillae (2).
At times, ridge resorption in the maxilla is so severe that is necessary to augment the bone in order
to place an implant. In some cases, conventional ridge augmentation cannot build enough bone to
place implants, especially in fully edentulous cases. A number of bone augmentation methods have
been developed specifically for implant placement in the severely resorbed maxilla. These include

To start with, Mark Twain s figurative language helps make his story unique. He utilises a range of
bizzare similes in both passages that make these stories stay true to the past and humorous. For
example in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Twain writes, ... cottonwood thick as harrow
teeth . This would be considered as one of his similes that are very unusual since many readers
might not know what a harrow even is but as you can infer, that in those times people in the book
would have known what he was speaking about. This shows how his bizzare similes stick to the

Twain had integrated made the story a little more humorous to read. Twain writes, He was a

In these programs, building to teach is brought to the classroom. LMS is currently using this
program at Sanders Clyde Elementary/Middle School for 5th and 6th graders and at Meeting Street
Academy for 5th graders. Students learn how to read and translate scaled blueprints in order to
build a wooden boat that they will later row (or sail). Throughout the entire semester they are taught
about the local history and skills needed when out on the water. The goal of this program is to
increase education in STEM, because that is what the majority of students these days lack, math
being the worst. To achieve this goal, LMS is working with the College of Charleston to improve

when Koichi s son, Minoru, had high hopes of going sightseeing with his parents and
grandparents, but when suddenly Koichi had to go see his sick patient and the plans got
cancelled, Minoru was very disappointed and angry with his parents because he mentions that
they always say they will go next time, but they never seem to keep their words. Ozu includes
this scene to show how often parents never seem to keep their promises with their children
because they re constantly busy with their own things and not have enough free time to spend
time with them. It s just like in reality where parents that struggle financially tend to spend more
time at work than at home, thus they never seem to have the time or use their precious time to

Post modernism can be seen as a turning against structuralism and the rigid thinking of genre.
Shaun of the Dead(Focus) is a postmodern film as a combination of two genres: horror and
comedy. Horror and comedy are both opposites but did very well together in this film. Shaun of
the Dead is a post modern as it had all of the elements of a horror filmbut is in fact a comedy. The
filmwas directed and written by Edgar Wright (Wright) and co written by Simon Peggs (Peggs).
The film is a hybrid romantic, zombie and a comedy. These genres contradict each other
therefore resulting the film to be seen as a comedy as these opposing genres are not normally
combined with each other. Shaun of the Dead follows a version of a horror film with codes by
consisting blood, gore, zombies and isolation. Instead of Vladimir Propp s character
theory(Propp) the lead character of a cool and strong male lead, there is an average lead age
thirty something, who works at an electronic shop with his best friend who plays video games all
