Argumentative Essay On North Korea
Thank you for taking the time to listen to me, as I am sure you have other things on your plate. As you
read, I would ask you to listen to my opinions, even if yours differers. Something has come to my
attention that concerns me. North Korea continues to threaten and test nations around it, including the
US. We must stop Kim Jong Un, and do something before our wonderful country is damaged beyond
repair. Naturally people will be afraid of war and the unknowns that come with it, but sometimes we
must overcome our doubts for the greater good. Many intelligent people will give arguments that
discusses the effects of war on the economy, and how the environment will be thrown into chaos if a
nuclear strike would occur. This is a good point that we must pay attention to, the economy must stay
level for our own prosperity, and if the environment is destroyed in North Korea it will never been
usable for many many years. However, the benefits of eliminating the threat greatly outway the
negatives. It comes down to being fearless or afraid. Liberation for the oppressed people must be
obtained as soon as possible. Rocket Man is starving his citizens and causing them to live in poverty.
One third of children in the nation have suffered stunted growth do to the lack of food available
(Newman). Not only is North Korea s economy so weak it can not pay to feed its people, the citizens
only make two three dollars a month (Newman). Although the majority of people make so little, it is

Toilet Learning
When you are teaching Special Needs Kids to use the toilet, parents basically undressed them and sat
them in a potty stool for extended periods until they eliminated. Then often called toilet training, past
practices and past terms have been updated. Research has shown that seeing the kid as an active player
makes the toileting technique more enjoyable. Therefore, a more appropriate name for the technique is
toilet mastery or toilet learning. Toilet learning is a developmental technique in which a kid learns to
make use of the toilet appropriately. As in lots of areas of kid development, kids must reach a positive
age or be in the proper setting or situation before they are prepared to learn. Kids are prepared to learn
when they are healthy, well nourished, and not pressured to accomplish at a level above their
capability. Toilet learning usually is initiated in early childhood, which in itself can be a challenging
period. At this time, kids are becoming independent and parents are trying to balance helping the kid
with allowing independence. With encouragement, kids can give parents clues about their toilet
readiness. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Accidental embarrassment combined with parental disapproval increases the kid s sense of disgrace
and slows the natural sense of independence. Punishing kids for toileting accidents can turn in to an

Anthropologists Should Put More Emphasis On Individual...
Anthropologists should put more emphasis on individual differences and meanings that are not shared.
Culture is composed of individuals. We know that the individual is an important part of any culture
because cultures are not uniform they differ from one another and they differ from themselves over
time. This difference is a product of the inherent uniqueness of the individuals who compose a culture
and no science that claims to study culture could be considered a true science if it ignored the building
blocks of the subject it is studying. Clifford Geertz shares his views on culture in his essay, Thick
Description: Toward an Interpretive Theory of Culture (1973), he views culture in a sort of public act
in which people express themselves using various signs and symbols which have suggested cultural
meaning far from an abstract psychological construct. Culture is embodied in the person who acts in a
certain context and culture is revealed in this person s actions and his interpretation of their meaning.
Culture in this sense is concrete and public, and not something which exists in people s individual
minds. In my opinion, how each individual perceives their history is an art of construction. History by
definition is the whole series of past events connected with a particular person or a past characterized
by a particular thing (Dictionary.com n.d.). History is what it is at this present time because of people,
the actions and decisions each individual has made

My Trip At Penn State
About a year ago, in an effort to make that summer the best one of our lives, my sister and I decided to
embark on a road trip from Miami to Tallahassee. Not only was it an opportunity to visit my cousin
who lives there, but also it was going to be a fun trip for my sister and I a chance for us to bond. I had
just left my final semester at Penn State a few weeks prior and regretting my decision not to take a
year off before attending college, I decided to take this time to make up for it. I ve been to several
places in the few years I ve had the privilege to travel, but watching thousands of pines rolling in and
out of view took my breath away. My sister dipped her hand into the bag of French fries she had
picked up at a rest stop a few miles back. Remembering a few concepts from my undergraduate
courses, I began explaining HDL and LDL levels as well as how cholesterol affects membrane fluidity.
She gave me the you re doing it again glare and I decided she d had enough for the day. Whether it s

Freire Vs Gardner
Every students has a different levels of intelligence and a very distinct styles of learning. Some
preferred hands on experience and others are visual or auditory learners. No matter what it may be,
our learning process help us retain information much easier. In Gardner s Theory of multiple
intelligences, he explains the seven intelligences, while Freire s Banking concept of education views
the educational system as a negative way to educate students. Both article contradicts each other.
Gardener s idea that humans have seven intelligences, connects to Freire s argument that the
intelligences mentioned in Gardner s theories are not used effectively and not being challenged.

The banking system, which he argues to be the wrong method and problem posing ,a better
alternative. The essay describes how students became slaves and forced to do what the oppressor
demanded, in this case teachers. The author s purpose is to fully explain the negative effects of the
banking education. In the banking system students only rely on the information that is given to them.
Freire mentioned, Worse yet, it turns them into containers, into receptacles to be filled by the teachers
. The author believes that the students are not really learning. The system creates a negative
environment where teachers knows everything while students know nothing .Also, students are
portrayed as receptacles or containers it waiting to be filled by Instructors. By doing this, it limits the
students creativity and does not allow student to express their individuality. As response to the
banking concept , Freire is proposed a different method of educating students, problem posing.
Problem posing allows both students and the teacher to express themselves freely. This method is
creates a more positive environment, where students and instructors are equal. Unlike in the banking,
problem posing can challenge students to really think and not being afraid of saying a different answer

Dehydration Of Sulfuric Acid And Phosphoric Acid
Dehydration of 2 methylcyclohexanol Authors: Johnny Presley Abstract: Dehydration of 2
methylcyclohexanol to 3 methylcyclohexene is simple distillation where dehydration was used to
prepare the final product. The results of the experiment showed that the 3 methylcyclohexene was
formed via an E1 reaction from 2 methylcyclohexanol with a 1:1 ratio of sulfuric acid and phosphoric
acid. However, some H2O was left over, which was seen when we look at the IR and see a small water
peak. This could be due to the fact that not enough sodium sulfate was added and not for long enough.
These results were confirmed by the quality tests that showed that a precipitate formed when KMnO4
was added to the solution and in the IR spectroscopy peaks showed peaks at 3022.62cm 1 which
matches an alkene, further showing that the formation of 3 methylcyclohexene was successful with a
percent yield of 56.46%. Introduction: The major reaction that happened was an E1 reaction
(otherwise known as a unimolecular elimination reaction). In this reaction the removal of an HX
substituent group results in the formation of a double bond via beta hydrogen elimination4. In an E1
reaction the deprotonation of hydrogen in the beta position occurs and from here a carbocation is
formed, which results in the formation of an alkene product. This happens when the OH group on the
2 methylcyclohexanol is hydrated by H2SO4, which allows the OH to become an H2O. Since H20 is a
better leaving group now it will

The Big Five Characteristics Of Personality
What is a Personality? A personality is defined as a... stable set of psychological characteristics that
are relatively unchanging over time, that differentiate people from one another in a range of ways and

Prenatal Care and Preterm Births Essay
Prenatal Care and Preterm Births
In the last 20 years the hopes of survival for neonates have seen significant increase, almost all of the
causes of perinatal mortality and morbidity have decreased. There is only one threat unmoved, still
standing above the rest Preterm birth. Prematurity or preterm birth is defined as the birth of any child
between 20 37 weeks of gestation. Delivery prior to 20 weeks of gestation is considered a Natural
abortion.1 The survival rate of low birth weight infants has significantly increased from 15 80% in the
last 20 years. However, the incidence of prematurity has not seen any change, neither decrease nor
increase. Currently the average incidence is 10 11%.1
There are noticeable sex and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main reason that the incidence has remained static is that there has been no clear definition of the
chain of events that result in pre term birth. Without an understanding of how it happens, there can be
no way of stopping the process, and further, of stopping the process once it has begun being that there
is no way of knowing exactly at what stage it is. There has recently been a strong theory proposed
which needs to be given more attention, the prostaglandin theory. Briefly, pro inflammatory cytokines
and other immunomodulatory proteins produced by either overt or sub clinical infection stimulate
prostaglandin synthesis and release. This ultimately induces the synthesis and release of
metalloproteases, which bring on cervical ripening and membrane weakening and rupture. 4 The
increased survival rate with a static incidence means that there are more people with problems in
society, more NICU s being filled, more families are having to learn to live with someone that is
handicapped, more problems arise with health care funding as more people have chronic health
problems, and with a little creativity and a careful eye, the rest of this paper could be a list of the
problems that are arising. Some known morbidities of preterm birth include Cerebral Palsy, ADHD,
growth retardation, respiratory distress syndrom, decreased cognitive ability, decreased academic
skills, decreased visual and gross motor

Galileo was the Greatest Innovator and Scientific Mind of...
I decided to stand alone on the throne of the world, because I believe all good philosophers fly alone
like eagles. (Axelrod 9 ) . Galileo is one of the greatest scientific minds and innovators of his time.
Many questioned his methods of discovery, reasons for why something was happening in experiments
he conducted. Galileo s reasoning is the focal point to his research and helps with the idea of
understanding how he thought. Galileo s inventions were the most innovative and advanced in his
field at the time. Most importantly Galileo was just trying to find truth , Galileo was honest when he
said that if the bible seemed to say something different from what science said, then one had just
misinterpreted the bible ,(Axelrod 8 ). Provided the research and experiments Galileo had done his
theories and ideas are correct for his time. As a scientist, Galileo experimented with many theories on
how the universe was structured and found the copernican theory to be the most sensible but had
trouble proving his system to be true. Galileo s commitment to explanation as the basis for
justification for his research is stronger than most of his other methods for explaining the environment
around him.

Developing Nation
Key Term and Why I Am Interested In It
I am interested in the term developing nation because it is a broad topic and several countries fall
under this term as well as a wide range of other subject matter. The issues surrounding a developing
nation are vastly different than those surrounding a developed nation. I am also interested in learning
more about the characteristics of a developing nation and the things that developed nations are doing
to assist those in developing countries. I am also interested in gaining an understanding of the
developing nations growth, particularly, in areas of output and trade and what roles are developing
nations playing in the world economy.
Explanation of Key Term
A developing nation is described as country that has not fully developed economically. Most citizens
of these countries are living below the poverty line and are generally considered to be poor.
Developing nations have more population growth than those in developed nations. Most developing
nations have lower per capita income than those in developed nations. Developing nations have lower
levels of human capita, particularly, as it relates to health and education. Those in developing nations
have a shorter life expectancy than those in developed nations. There tends to be a higher student
teacher ratio and often receive a lower quality of education. There is a predominant level of

Water Is The Most Valued And Vulnerable Natural Resource...
Water is the most valued and vulnerable natural resource that no living organism can survive without
it. Maintaining the water s quality is a very important task where all individuals involved must
perform with at the highest standard of honesty, integrity, and responsibility. This is because of the
fact that they have a direct impact to the society s health. Usually, chlorination, adding doses of
chlorine, is a common disinfection practice to kill any harmful microorganism in the water. However,
with wrong calculations or improper managements in terms of using chlorination method can result in
some serious problems. The case of Walkerton is an example of how reducing government budget,
failing to maintain chlorine residual levels at the requirement, and continuing unprofessional practices
for years like altering reports result in ethical violation that led to a horrible tragedy that shouldn t
happened. For more than 20 years, it had been the practice of public utilities commission (PUC)
operators to monitoring the chlorine residual level and submitting daily logs to the Ministry of
Environment (MOE). However, the MOE is the ministry primarily responsible for promulgating and
enforcing regulations and policy that apply to municipal water systems (Salvadori). But within in
MOE, it is very difficult to recall data and information as they fall behind the advance of technology
which resulted from reductions in budget in 1996. Government budget reductions resulted in

What happened because of each ad? Were there protests? Was the ad taken down? Or did the reverse
happen, meaning did the brand thrive because of the controversial ad?
In 1952, this advertisement would not have raised any eyebrow, due to the culture dogma of the time.
Some members of society during that era believed that the white community was superior to the
minority community. Even though this is the era of the Civil Rights Movement, no one marched or
boycotted Van Heusen. These types of ads contain subliminal messages. Surely, this advertising may
have boldly offended many people. Nevertheless, this print ad was obviously effective. Without a
doubt this ad persuaded the target market to buy the oxford shirts to maintain their predominant status
in the social circle. Shirt sales didn t decrease and Van Heusen is a major global brand in this era.
However, critics have taken to social media platforms to complain about the 2011 Nivea ad. One tweet
boldly stated that Nivea claims that black people aren t civilized. Others called the ad unapologetically
racist. The company withdrew the 2011 advertisement after numerous complaints and released an
apology stating, This ad was inappropriate and offensive. It was never our intention to offend anyone,
and for this we are deeply sorry. This ad will never be used again. Diversity and equal opportunity are

Tanks
Jack Elmes
How did tank innovation impact warfare and the soldiers who fought in the trenches during World War
One?
World War One was known as the First World War or The Great War. It began on the 28th of July
1914 and lasted until the 11th of November 1918. Thirty countries were involved in the war. Over nine
million soldiers died and twenty one million were wounded. Undeniably World War One was one of
the biggest and most devastating wars in history. Trench warfare took those who signed up by
complete surprise. A war that was intended to be all about movement became stagnant. Soldiers were
very much stuck in the trenches and experienced horrendous conditions. As a result the use of
terrifying new technologies not used before were created in a response to the conditions of trench
warfare. This resulted in trench warfare being changed forever due to the introduction of the tank in
1915.
It has been stated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tank was the first armored machine to be used. It was adapted from tractors and its goal was to
break through the heavily fortified trenches and offer protection to the troops from any artillery fire.
British engineering was the origin of the first WW1 Landship , which became the tank as we now
know it. Tanks were a very important part of WW1 as they increased mobility on the front line and
broke the stalemate of trench warfare. The first tank ever used in military conflict was at the battle of
Flers Courcelette in September 1916. The first prototype tank came out in 1915 by the British it was
called little Willie, weighed 14 tons and could only travel at two miles per hour. This tank was not
used in warfare. Big Bertha was the most famous tank it had a 48 ton gun capable of firing a shell over
9 miles. It took 200 men several hours to assemble the gun.

Success And Its Elements Of Success
Success and its elements As we all fold the page on an academic year, for some of us this might have
been the most important year of our lives. As we end school and prepare our brains for the next phase,
we indulge our thoughts in the prize that everyone dreams of, what some would call The Pinnacle of
Civilization . Our minds drift off thinking of Success, and at that instant we tremble, panic and curl
into the corner, as the shadow of the obstacles that will stand in our path appears across the horizon.
Today, I ll try to help us all by identifying the critical elements behind success. I am not claiming that I
hold the key, but maybe together we can sniff out the truth behind it.
To start with: Confidence is the belief in your abilities, your capabilities, your attitude and your
Opinion, Freedom of inner doubt and conflict. It is known as the memory of success and the key to the
city of achievements. The positive feeling of one s ability to accomplish any certain or general
activities in life, a belief that one s self and capabilities are equal to most any task.
That might sound a little complicated and threatening. My Mother always tells me: Nobody is perfect,
you re better than nobody, but nobody is better than you. And that is precisely the root of confidence,
the belief that you can achieve anything, the way anybody else can. No matter the odds, you can do
what you want, because you believe you can.
Confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable and

Argumentative Essay On Child Forced Marriage
Every two minutes a child is married. Approximately 15 million girls are married before they reach
the age of 18. Child marriage is often the end product of a girl s education, economic prospects,
constrained social engagement and increased health risks including physical, emotional and sexual
violence. The subjugation of women and girls takes many forms. One of the most common,
unquestioned, and lasting is the practice of child forced marriage. The practice of Child forced
marriage, is the control of women and girls lives by families and communities, particularly the control
of their sexual and reproductive lives.
Poverty has long been established as the reason for Child forced marriage. But if poverty is to blame,
why are boys not marrying as early as girls? Why are girls the victims of child marriage and
exploitation?
The social and cultural construction of womanhood and the emphasis on female subservience to male
dominance determines if, when and who girls marry, as well as the conditions of marital life for these
unwilling girls and women: including health dangers linked with early pregnancy, lower educational
accomplishments for girls who marry earlier, a higher occurrence of spousal violence, and an
amplified probability of poverty.
Decisions about reproduction are the most important and lie changing an individual can make, and
determine other parts of a person s life, including their living arrangements, their access to resources,

Although I was in charge of the group, I made sure to include the creative input from all members. For

experience with the Frankenstein project allowed me to understand the importance of group
cooperation and communication. I learned in order to have a productive group you need to be willing
to compromise and take others perspectives into consideration. Part of what makes group projects
great are the multiple perspectives and ideas that are available, so it is necessary to take advantage of
all of them. Another important aspect is communication. Whether it s over emails or text messages,
knowing what is going on and when it is going on is key.
Within this experience I also learned about what I can contribute into other collaborative
environments. As a person I tend to be very easy going and can get along with most everyone. I find it
easy to contribute ideas whilst taking others into consideration. In school, I take part in multiple

Slim Fast Offers False Hope to Young Girls
The popular weight loss shake SlimFast has created a false perception in young adolescent girls that
may be impossible to achieve. The company website market approach states

average weight adolescent girls to feel less confident and more dissatisfied with their appearance. The
advertisers push their solution SlimFast on potentially overweight adolescent s females as they aware
of their role; their need to feel beautiful, their insecurities and anxieties about weight. According to the

base their self worth more strongly on appearance than on character. (Insert Referencing). The
advertising suggests once you lose weight wearing tight jeans and sporting high heels will make you

Ancient Roman Entertainment Essay
Citizens in ancient Rome held their entertainment close. Entertainment was free, and appealed to all
social classes, from slaves to the emperor. Two forms of entertainment are chariot racing and gladiator
fights. These were two of the more popular forms of entertainment available to the average Roman
citizens.
The first form of entertainment I am going to talk about is chariot racing. Chariot racing was the most
popular form of entertainment. It appealed to all social classes, from the lowly slaves to the senators
and the emperor. Juvenal s famous saying panem et circenses has become a sign of entertainment
appeasing people throughout the ages. Although there was no public betting one the races, there was a
large amount of private betting that went on and the chance of earning money probably attracted even
more popularity to the races. The races were so popular that many household items were decorated
with symbols from the racing.
The racers were divided into four different teams, called factions (factiones). These were coloured and
their names came from the colours themselves: the Greens, the Reds, the Blues and the Whites. The
green and blue factions were the most powerful, and later on in the empire, they absorbed the other
two into their ranks. The factions were not just racing teams, they also had political influence. Most
Roman citizens became racing fanatics, supporting one of the factions. Some citizens even resorted to
magic to foul their opponents, showed

The Influence Of Malcolm X
Throughout history, different people in society have viewed Malcolm X in different lights. To some,
Malcolm X is the shining light that spoke to a population that was in need of wisdom and help.
However, other people saw Malcolm X as an threat to society and the pillars that were built to keep
everybody safe. In the end, a person would have to be blind if they didn t recognize the impact of
Malcolm X character in the Civil Rights Era. Whether you saw him as a positive of the negative
aspect, Malcolm X was a powerful figure of the era. Therefore, we most praise the power and strength
of a Malcolm X figure in society. Malcolm X displayed the moral authority so great that it continues
to attract people to his ideology in recent times. Malcolm displayed a charismatic quality: he fixed his
mind and sight of the racial goals to be obtained and pursued them with an unvarying,
uncompromising attitude. In the light of all of these realities and difficulties of the cinema
representing a mans life that has been plagued with myths and romance, Spike Lee s Malcolm X
serves as a inspirational achievement. Lee s Malcolm X serve as a richly textured and relevant nuance
of the life and legacy of Malcolm X and the times of American paradox: a racist whose fame has been
shaped to display his belated universal appeal.
Spike Lee s Malcolm X goes to extreme measure sin order the encompass the whole life and legacy of
Malcolm X. The very first shot of the film opens up with a Billboard

Rewarding Students By Providing Feedback
Rewarding students by providing them with feedback is important to not only help them improve, but
also to provide them with the knowledge that they are doing things right. Not all feedback has to focus
on the negative. It is equally important to share with others areas they succeed in. this will boost
morale and leave them to feel more confident in their work. Feedback is critical to anyone no matter
the type of environment they are working in. Individual and groups can both benefit from feedback.
Leaders that provide feedback are providing followers with resources they may need.
Transformational leaders also work to provide followers with what they need. Women tend to be more
transformational and some would think this would make women leadership more appealing, but I
believe it can be difficult for others to perceive a woman as charismatic and therefore unable to lead in
high positions. If it is difficult for a woman to connect with specific followers they may not be able to
get their vision through to their followers making it impossible to inspire others to jump on board with
certain actions that are taken. Changing this may be difficult, but providing women with opportunities
will give them a chance to prove themselves. My leadership philosophy is based on the idea of giving
others opportunity and making sure moral and ethical standards are kept. A leader s faith, values and
character should all be a priority in their leadership style and should never be risked.

Rabies Is The Virus And Disease, As Well As Information On...
Purpose
This report will educate the reader on rabies in canines (dogs). It will give the reader a basic
understanding of the virus and disease, as well as information on prevention and treatment.
Background
Rabies is thought to be an endemic in the Arctic, Northern Canada and former regions of the Soviet
Union (NUNAVUT REF). Rabies is a zoonotic, neuro invasive disease caused by the Rabies
Rhabdovirus Lyssavirus (Merck Veterinary Manual, 2015). The risk of being exposed to rabies is
dependent on a variety of factors, including where an animal goes and what wildlife it comes in
contact with (VET BRIEF REF). The most commonly affected domestic mammals includes dogs,
cattle and cats. The most commonly affected wildlife affected includes foxes, skunks, bats and
raccoons (Merck Veterinary Manual, 2015). If the dog becomes infected, the virus attacks the brain.
This leads to the brain becoming inflamed and then beginning to deteriorate. The deterioration causes
the brain to not function properly, leading to the animal acting abnormal. The abnormal behaviour
results in a variety of signs and symptoms, including aggression (Remedy Health Media, 2016).
Rabies is a federally reportable disease, including all suspect cases. All reports are investigated by the
Canadian Food Inspection Agency, in a verified rabies laboratory (Government of Canada, 2016).
Rabies is an incredibly important disease for Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to be aware of,
as it is a common concern

The Role Of Political Involvement In Law Enforcement...
The leader of a law enforcement agency should be a leader, not only in words but in their action as
well (Garner, 2010). Additionally, they should delegate some responsibilities to those who have the
time necessary to complete the task effectively. Hence, this individual should show that they are
successful in building strong teams. Accordingly, a Chief should clearly define expectations and goals,
so there is no confusion. Likewise, someone with interpersonal skills an aptitude for listening to others
is critical, in relation to community support. Possessing the ability to utilize the media to spread your
ideology and success is also extremely important. Finally, understanding the appropriate level of

Before the narrator leaves the signalman s box the signalman promises to tell the narrator what has
been troubling him. If you ever make another visit, I will tell you .
This suggests that the signalman is scared of something that he isn t sure he is ready to tell because he
is telling the narrator on his second visit.
When the narrator returns to the signalman s box a second time the signalman tells the narrator what is
troubling him he says that he ran into the tunnel because a figure shouted Halloa, below there! Look
out! when the signalmen ran into the tunnel he saw figures so he ran back out No, I ran on into the
tunnel, five hundred yards. I stopped, and held my lamp above my head, and saw the figures of the
measured distance, and saw the wet stains stealing down the walls and trickling through the arch. The
word figure suggest that the signalman doesn t think what he saw was human because otherwise
would have used the word man. This gives a effect of mystery because the reader doesn t know what
the signalman saw. The word trickling suggests that the tunnel is wet, damp and eerie. This is typical
of the gothic genre because the fact that it is wet suggests that it has been bad weather and stormy. The
signalman then explains to the narrator how dead people were brought over where he had seen the
figure. within six hours after the appearance the memorable accident on this line

The Environmental Degradation Of Natural Resources
The environmental degradation of natural resources, such as fresh water resources and fish or sea live
stocks have become burning issue of potentially violent conflict between the nations. There are
numerous historical examples that related to this issue. For example, the Ethiopian decision to store
Nile water behind the walls of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam have brought ongoing tension
between the Egypt, the Ethiopia and Sudan.
The second characteristic is the relationship between environment and intercontinental conflicts.
Environmental degradation, climate change, and lack of access to natural resources can lead to the

Because the Mongolian mining sector is considered to be the most harmful donor to environmental
destruction unless it is correctly managed and controlled. Therefore, it has been observed with the
deepest concern that chaotic coal mining and other mining operations strip the top soil without
required environmental remediation. Furthermore, outnumbered and disordered mining activities that
cover nearly the entire country lead to water pollution, dried up of fresh water resources,
encroachment on protected areas, mercury and sodium cyanide poisoning. For example, according to
statistics of the Ministry of Environment, Green Development and Tourism of Mongolia, More than
18610 rivers, lakes, and streams were counted in 2007, but it decreased to 12861 in 2011, which
covers one third of the Mongolian fresh water resource dried up within 4 years. In addition,
uncontrolled, disorganized distribution of exploration and mining licenses accelerated environmental
destruction.
Contamination from human waste, livestock, and seasonal flooding have also posed a serious threat to
water resources. Thousands and thousands of illegal miners who poison the water with mercury and
sodium cyanide to explore gold left wide range of territory with unprocessed wastes and poisoned

The Music Of Music And Music
Ludwig van Beethoven was beaten every day by his father. This was so Ludwig could become a
prodigy just like Mozart. His father would deprive him of sleep so that Ludwig could get some extra
rehearsal time. This man caused Beethoven to become a genius in music performance and
composition. Imagine if he wasn t made to learn about music. Since he is one of the greatest
influential composers in music, his knowledge wouldn t have been passed down through the
generations. Students shouldn t be forced to learn about music like Beethoven was, but they can
choose to love it on their own. They can only get this opportunity if music programs are added to part
of their education. When music education classes are added to the curriculum, the children benefit
immensely. Music education only began a couple hundred years ago. It was started after Reverend
Thomas Symmes ministered at a church which then became the first American school dedicated solely
to singing (Stanford). The school s main purpose was to teach the children how to read music for
religious celebrations. Over a hundred years later, the Boston Academy of Music was established. One
of the founders wrote the Manual of Instruction, which is a published book used for teaching music
education. Eventually this author, Lowell Mason, was allowed to instruct music education at the
Hawes School since the book became so successful. After many years music was officially
constructed into Boston s school curriculum. Since then music

Monotheistic Religion And Zoroastrianism
Zoroastrianism on the other hand is a monotheistic religion, originating in Iran, and has evolved
throughout the ages. With approximately 130,000 remaining followers. Zoroastrianism s early stage, is
presumed to have influenced Buddhism, and introduces beliefs of Gods and Devils that have been
adopted by other religions such as Christianity, and Islam. The Zoroastrian gods represented elements,
aspects of nature, and principles such as justice and obedience. These gods were called daevas
meaning ( shining ones ), with higher ranking gods called Ahuras or ( Lords ) with the supreme god
Ahura Mazda, being worshipped above all the other gods as the divine creator; through good thoughts,
words, and deeds, like the Jainism ahimsa. Zoroastrians believed there was a cosmic battle between
good and evil and to support good one must dedicate themselves as spiritual warriors for good.
Zoroastrianism evolved from believing in supernatural gods and devils to believing that the battle
between good and evil lies within our minds. Zoroastrians believe that we combat evil by performing
good deeds and having good thoughts and actions. The Avesta, is the Zoroastrian holy text assembled
by the Parthians using the surviving remains of the early Zoroastrian teachings two centuries after
their traditions were destroyed by Alexander, known in the West as The Great , and in Iran The
Accursed . Zoroastrians had early hymns knows as Gathas. The Gathas were early songs Zoroastrians

the end of the relationship signifies the beginning of a new chapter; all one has to do is start over. She

How American Experience Reflects Global Faith
With the lenses of a good historian, Noll has given us the role American Christianity has played in the
changes that occur in global Christianity today. Terms like American experience , American
Christianity , American Mission , American power , etc., undoubtedly express the American role in the
expansion of Christianity. As they attempted to spread the gospel, Americans, by large,
decontextualized neither their theology nor their understanding of missions. Hence, Noll rightly
described in his book ...How American Experience Reflects Global Faith. Both American orthodoxy
and orthopraxis were taught and reinforced as a golden standard in various parts of the world.
Church buildings, musical instruments, ministers attire, choir robes, hymns, names of converts,
schools and curriculums had Americans religious, cultural, and economic trademark. The Christianity
that addressed issues of life in the American cultural context was transplanted in different parts of the
world. Unlike the transition of the Hebraic Christianity from the Jewish culture to the Gentile world in
the first century, which developed its own unique theological, cultural, and leadership identity in a
short period of time, the phenomenal growth of Christianity in the majority world has been largely
influenced by the dominance of American Christianity. As the result, we have Christian faith that is
not well anchored on local theology. And to most of the churches in the majority world, up until
recently,

Tonal Sensitivity
It doesn t take a musical genius with perfect pitch to tell when a piano is in tune. When your piano is
adjusted properly, music sounds correct to our ears. When it isn t, your home piano sounds more like
what you d expect to hear in a saloon during a gunfight at the OK Corral.
The reason for this is the result of two things:
Small variations in the sound waves created by the piano that compound over time
Cultural expectations with regards to music
To understand these ideas, you first have to have a basic understanding of how sound is created.
Sound Waves and Hertz
A sound wave is defined as a disturbance through a medium in the case of your piano, the vibrating
strings cause a disturbance in the air around you. Your ears detect this ... Show more content on
Helpwriting.net ...
As these changes impact all of the strings on your piano, the notes begin to sound unrelated to each
other. A change of even a few Hz can cause your ear to notice and the result is rarely pleasing to hear.
Tonal Sensitivity
The reason listeners react so strongly to these minor changes is related to the Western style of music.
In the simplest terms, our music is built around related notes. These are called scales and modes. A
major scale, for example, will often sound happy and bouncy to us. On the other hand, minor scales
sound sad or spooky.
Scales in our system of music are defined more by the proper difference in pitch between notes than
the starting or stopping point of the scale. When those gaps between notes are incorrect, the overall
feel of the scale or mode is lost. That s why a poorly tuned piano strikes us immediately as wrong we
ve heard so much music that our ears expect a certain result and notice when it is lost.
The moral of the story is this: Your piano will almost undoubtedly go out of tune over time, and your
ears will certainly notice. Investing in a professional to tune your instrument periodically is the only
way to ensure that your playing provides the maximum amount of enjoyment for both you and your

How Divorce Has Changed Changing Society
Society is constantly changing. We are able to visualize these changes year after year by way of
statistics. This allows us to be able to use these values to qualitatively analyze correlation, causation,
and effect. One topic that has benefited from the use of statistics to measure its effects is divorce.
Divorce is defined as the legal process of dissolving a marriage, thus separating two individuals
(Merriam). From generation to generation, divorce has been on a steady increase. The annual rate of
divorce more than doubled between the mid 1960s and the early 1980s (Croteau). As of recent,
statistics show an increase in divorce rates from less than 20% to nearly 50% since 1960 (Croteau).
Throughout history, divorce has remained a controversial topic. Perceptions of divorce have
drastically changed essentially because the value of marriage has changed. Marriage was once seen as
a practical necessity and an irrevocable commitment. The view of marriage caused divorce to be
perceived as a stigma. Divorce in earlier generations was not granted by the court system unless there
were extenuating circumstances (Evolution). For example, if the woman in the marriage was unable to
conceive children the divorce would be granted to the man. This remained the standard practice until
the 1970 s with the introduction of no fault divorces (Croteau). No fault divorces were divorces
granted to a family based solely on the request of one of the partners (Croteau). This legal

A Case Study Of Erikson s Theory Of Psychosocial Development
Introduction
In this assignment, I will be focusing on Erikson s theory of psychosocial development. There are
eight stages in which only the fifth stage namely identity versus confusion will be discussed. Aspects
such as identity crises, exploration of autonomy whilst developing a sense of self, factors that may
contribute to identity formation as well as the successful/unsuccessful resolution of this particular
stage will be discussed thoroughly. James Marcia s identity statuses will be highlighted. The
discussion will then progress to the psychosocial development of a case study based on Anna Monroe
in connection to the difficulties she faced namely gender, sexuality, peer pressure, suicide and the
experimentation with different identities she encountered.

Adolescence refers to the transition period experienced by children that occur between childhood and
adulthood (Shefer, 2011). Identity is first confronted in adolescence between the ages 12 19 years old,
because of physical and hormonal changes in the body. It is also due to the introduction of formal
operations in cognitive development and societal expectation that this contributes to an individual s
identity to be explored and established (McAdams, 2009). The forces within and outside (family,
community) the individual that promote identity development usually create a sense of tension. The
basic task is, in Erikson s terms, fidelity or truthfulness and consistency to one s core self or faith in
one s ideology (Fleming, 2004: 9), in a nutshell: Who am I and where am I

Due to the drug industry booming, there has been turmoil between various drug cartels leading to
many deaths of innocent people. Many people, not only Mexican, have suffered from the violence of
this drug war. There are dozens of drug a cartels in the Americas. In Mexico, there are two primary
affiliations which other cartels align to, the Sinaloa Cartel and Los Zetas. These cartels also have
presence in the United States, which is negatively impacting our country because of their extreme
violence and murderous acts. Many would argue that these criminal acts are also acts of terrorism.
The convergence or nexus between terrorist groups and transnational crime has its foundation on the
symbiotic link between the two. The convergence entails a dynamic that allows both entities to benefit
financially. This convergence, which entails long term and short term agreements, exists along a
continuum and its aim is to exchange expertise such as counterfeiting, bomb making or money
laundering, or operational support that enhances access to the smuggling routes (Piazza 299). A study
carried out by the Library of Congress regarding criminal and terrorist organizations realized that the
convergence between the two entities comes in three wide blueprints. The first form of contact

  • 2. Argumentative Essay On North Korea Thank you for taking the time to listen to me, as I am sure you have other things on your plate. As you read, I would ask you to listen to my opinions, even if yours differers. Something has come to my attention that concerns me. North Korea continues to threaten and test nations around it, including the US. We must stop Kim Jong Un, and do something before our wonderful country is damaged beyond repair. Naturally people will be afraid of war and the unknowns that come with it, but sometimes we must overcome our doubts for the greater good. Many intelligent people will give arguments that discusses the effects of war on the economy, and how the environment will be thrown into chaos if a nuclear strike would occur. This is a good point that we must pay attention to, the economy must stay level for our own prosperity, and if the environment is destroyed in North Korea it will never been usable for many many years. However, the benefits of eliminating the threat greatly outway the negatives. It comes down to being fearless or afraid. Liberation for the oppressed people must be obtained as soon as possible. Rocket Man is starving his citizens and causing them to live in poverty. One third of children in the nation have suffered stunted growth do to the lack of food available (Newman). Not only is North Korea s economy so weak it can not pay to feed its people, the citizens only make two three dollars a month (Newman). Although the majority of people make so little, it is ... • 3. Toilet Learning When you are teaching Special Needs Kids to use the toilet, parents basically undressed them and sat them in a potty stool for extended periods until they eliminated. Then often called toilet training, past practices and past terms have been updated. Research has shown that seeing the kid as an active player makes the toileting technique more enjoyable. Therefore, a more appropriate name for the technique is toilet mastery or toilet learning. Toilet learning is a developmental technique in which a kid learns to make use of the toilet appropriately. As in lots of areas of kid development, kids must reach a positive age or be in the proper setting or situation before they are prepared to learn. Kids are prepared to learn when they are healthy, well nourished, and not pressured to accomplish at a level above their capability. Toilet learning usually is initiated in early childhood, which in itself can be a challenging period. At this time, kids are becoming independent and parents are trying to balance helping the kid with allowing independence. With encouragement, kids can give parents clues about their toilet readiness. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Anthropologists Should Put More Emphasis On Individual... Anthropologists should put more emphasis on individual differences and meanings that are not shared. Culture is composed of individuals. We know that the individual is an important part of any culture because cultures are not uniform they differ from one another and they differ from themselves over time. This difference is a product of the inherent uniqueness of the individuals who compose a culture and no science that claims to study culture could be considered a true science if it ignored the building blocks of the subject it is studying. Clifford Geertz shares his views on culture in his essay, Thick Description: Toward an Interpretive Theory of Culture (1973), he views culture in a sort of public act in which people express themselves using various signs and symbols which have suggested cultural meaning far from an abstract psychological construct. Culture is embodied in the person who acts in a certain context and culture is revealed in this person s actions and his interpretation of their meaning. Culture in this sense is concrete and public, and not something which exists in people s individual minds. In my opinion, how each individual perceives their history is an art of construction. History by definition is the whole series of past events connected with a particular person or a past characterized by a particular thing (Dictionary.com n.d.). History is what it is at this present time because of people, the actions and decisions each individual has made ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. My Trip At Penn State About a year ago, in an effort to make that summer the best one of our lives, my sister and I decided to embark on a road trip from Miami to Tallahassee. Not only was it an opportunity to visit my cousin who lives there, but also it was going to be a fun trip for my sister and I a chance for us to bond. I had just left my final semester at Penn State a few weeks prior and regretting my decision not to take a year off before attending college, I decided to take this time to make up for it. I ve been to several places in the few years I ve had the privilege to travel, but watching thousands of pines rolling in and out of view took my breath away. My sister dipped her hand into the bag of French fries she had picked up at a rest stop a few miles back. Remembering a few concepts from my undergraduate courses, I began explaining HDL and LDL levels as well as how cholesterol affects membrane fluidity. She gave me the you re doing it again glare and I decided she d had enough for the day. Whether it s explaining the flow of blood through the heart to students as a learning assistant, or informing various press outlets about cancer in order to gain their support for THON, a student run philanthropy for children with pediatric cancer held at Penn State every year, I enjoy having the chance to teach things I ve learned to others, regardless of my sister listening to me or not. No matter what it may be, our learning process help us retain information much easier. In Gardner s Theory of multiple intelligences, he explains the seven intelligences, while Freire s Banking concept of education views the educational system as a negative way to educate students. The banking system, which he argues to be the wrong method and problem posing ,a better alternative. The essay describes how students became slaves and forced to do what the oppressor demanded, in this case teachers. The author s purpose is to fully explain the negative effects of the banking education. In the banking system students only rely on the information that is given to them. Freire mentioned, Worse yet, it turns them into containers, into receptacles to be filled by the teachers . The author believes that the students are not really learning. The system creates a negative environment where teachers knows everything while students know nothing .Also, students are portrayed as receptacles or containers it waiting to be filled by Instructors. By doing this, it limits the students creativity and does not allow student to express their individuality. As response to the banking concept , Freire is proposed a different method of educating students, problem posing. Problem posing allows both students and the teacher to express themselves freely. This method is creates a more positive environment, where students and instructors are equal. Unlike in the banking, problem posing can challenge students to really think and not being afraid of saying a different answer other than the teacher s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Dehydration Of Sulfuric Acid And Phosphoric Acid Dehydration of 2 methylcyclohexanol Authors: Johnny Presley Abstract: Dehydration of 2 methylcyclohexanol to 3 methylcyclohexene is simple distillation where dehydration was used to prepare the final product. The results of the experiment showed that the 3 methylcyclohexene was formed via an E1 reaction from 2 methylcyclohexanol with a 1:1 ratio of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. However, some H2O was left over, which was seen when we look at the IR and see a small water peak. This could be due to the fact that not enough sodium sulfate was added and not for long enough. These results were confirmed by the quality tests that showed that a precipitate formed when KMnO4 was added to the solution and in the IR spectroscopy peaks showed peaks at 3022.62cm 1 which matches an alkene, further showing that the formation of 3 methylcyclohexene was successful with a percent yield of 56.46%. Introduction: The major reaction that happened was an E1 reaction (otherwise known as a unimolecular elimination reaction). In this reaction the removal of an HX substituent group results in the formation of a double bond via beta hydrogen elimination4. In an E1 reaction the deprotonation of hydrogen in the beta position occurs and from here a carbocation is formed, which results in the formation of an alkene product. This happens when the OH group on the 2 methylcyclohexanol is hydrated by H2SO4, which allows the OH to become an H2O. Since H20 is a better leaving group now it will ... Prenatal Care and Preterm Births Essay Prenatal Care and Preterm Births In the last 20 years the hopes of survival for neonates have seen significant increase, almost all of the causes of perinatal mortality and morbidity have decreased. There is only one threat unmoved, still standing above the rest Preterm birth. Prematurity or preterm birth is defined as the birth of any child between 20 37 weeks of gestation. Delivery prior to 20 weeks of gestation is considered a Natural abortion.1 The survival rate of low birth weight infants has significantly increased from 15 80% in the last 20 years. However, the incidence of prematurity has not seen any change, neither decrease nor increase. Currently the average incidence is 10 11%.1 There are noticeable sex and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main reason that the incidence has remained static is that there has been no clear definition of the chain of events that result in pre term birth. Without an understanding of how it happens, there can be no way of stopping the process, and further, of stopping the process once it has begun being that there is no way of knowing exactly at what stage it is. There has recently been a strong theory proposed which needs to be given more attention, the prostaglandin theory. Briefly, pro inflammatory cytokines and other immunomodulatory proteins produced by either overt or sub clinical infection stimulate prostaglandin synthesis and release. This ultimately induces the synthesis and release of metalloproteases, which bring on cervical ripening and membrane weakening and rupture. 4 The increased survival rate with a static incidence means that there are more people with problems in society, more NICU s being filled, more families are having to learn to live with someone that is handicapped, more problems arise with health care funding as more people have chronic health problems, and with a little creativity and a careful eye, the rest of this paper could be a list of the problems that are arising. Some known morbidities of preterm birth include Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, growth retardation, respiratory distress syndrom, decreased cognitive ability, decreased academic skills, decreased visual and gross motor ... Galileo s reasoning is the focal point to his research and helps with the idea of understanding how he thought. Galileo s inventions were the most innovative and advanced in his field at the time. Most importantly Galileo was just trying to find truth , Galileo was honest when he said that if the bible seemed to say something different from what science said, then one had just misinterpreted the bible ,(Axelrod 8 ). Provided the research and experiments Galileo had done his theories and ideas are correct for his time. As a scientist, Galileo experimented with many theories on how the universe was structured and found the copernican theory to be the most sensible but had trouble proving his system to be true. As we end school and prepare our brains for the next phase, we indulge our thoughts in the prize that everyone dreams of, what some would call The Pinnacle of Civilization . Our minds drift off thinking of Success, and at that instant we tremble, panic and curl into the corner, as the shadow of the obstacles that will stand in our path appears across the horizon. Today, I ll try to help us all by identifying the critical elements behind success. I am not claiming that I hold the key, but maybe together we can sniff out the truth behind it. To start with: Confidence is the belief in your abilities, your capabilities, your attitude and your Opinion, Freedom of inner doubt and conflict. It is known as the memory of success and the key to the city of achievements. The positive feeling of one s ability to accomplish any certain or general activities in life, a belief that one s self and capabilities are equal to most any task. Child marriage is often the end product of a girl s education, economic prospects, constrained social engagement and increased health risks including physical, emotional and sexual violence. The subjugation of women and girls takes many forms. One of the most common, unquestioned, and lasting is the practice of child forced marriage. Poverty has long been established as the reason for Child forced marriage. But if poverty is to blame, why are boys not marrying as early as girls? Why are girls the victims of child marriage and exploitation? The social and cultural construction of womanhood and the emphasis on female subservience to male dominance determines if, when and who girls marry, as well as the conditions of marital life for these unwilling girls and women: including health dangers linked with early pregnancy, lower educational accomplishments for girls who marry earlier, a higher occurrence of spousal violence, and an amplified probability of poverty. Rewarding Students By Providing Feedback Rewarding students by providing them with feedback is important to not only help them improve, but also to provide them with the knowledge that they are doing things right. Not all feedback has to focus on the negative. It is equally important to share with others areas they succeed in. this will boost morale and leave them to feel more confident in their work. Feedback is critical to anyone no matter the type of environment they are working in. Individual and groups can both benefit from feedback. Leaders that provide feedback are providing followers with resources they may need. Transformational leaders also work to provide followers with what they need. Women tend to be more transformational and some would think this would make women leadership more appealing, but I believe it can be difficult for others to perceive a woman as charismatic and therefore unable to lead in high positions. If it is difficult for a woman to connect with specific followers they may not be able to get their vision through to their followers making it impossible to inspire others to jump on board with certain actions that are taken. Changing this may be difficult, but providing women with opportunities will give them a chance to prove themselves. As they attempted to spread the gospel, Americans, by large, decontextualized neither their theology nor their understanding of missions. Hence, Noll rightly described in his book ...How American Experience Reflects Global Faith. Both American orthodoxy and orthopraxis were taught and reinforced as a golden standard in various parts of the world. Church buildings, musical instruments, ministers attire, choir robes, hymns, names of converts, schools and curriculums had Americans religious, cultural, and economic trademark. The Christianity that addressed issues of life in the American cultural context was transplanted in different parts of the world. Unlike the transition of the Hebraic Christianity from the Jewish culture to the Gentile world in the first century, which developed its own unique theological, cultural, and leadership identity in a short period of time, the phenomenal growth of Christianity in the majority world has been largely influenced by the dominance of American Christianity. As the result, we have Christian faith that is not well anchored on local theology. And to most of the churches in the majority world, up until recently, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Tonal Sensitivity It doesn t take a musical genius with perfect pitch to tell when a piano is in tune. When your piano is adjusted properly, music sounds correct to our ears. When it isn t, your home piano sounds more like what you d expect to hear in a saloon during a gunfight at the OK Corral. The reason for this is the result of two things: Small variations in the sound waves created by the piano that compound over time Cultural expectations with regards to music To understand these ideas, you first have to have a basic understanding of how sound is created. Sound Waves and Hertz A sound wave is defined as a disturbance through a medium in the case of your piano, the vibrating strings cause a disturbance in the air around you. Your ears detect this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As these changes impact all of the strings on your piano, the notes begin to sound unrelated to each other. A change of even a few Hz can cause your ear to notice and the result is rarely pleasing to hear. Tonal Sensitivity The reason listeners react so strongly to these minor changes is related to the Western style of music. In the simplest terms, our music is built around related notes. These are called scales and modes. A major scale, for example, will often sound happy and bouncy to us. On the other hand, minor scales sound sad or spooky. Scales in our system of music are defined more by the proper difference in pitch between notes than the starting or stopping point of the scale. When those gaps between notes are incorrect, the overall feel of the scale or mode is lost. That s why a poorly tuned piano strikes us immediately as wrong we ve heard so much music that our ears expect a certain result and notice when it is lost. The moral of the story is this: Your piano will almost undoubtedly go out of tune over time, and your ears will certainly notice. Investing in a professional to tune your instrument periodically is the only way to ensure that your playing provides the maximum amount of enjoyment for both you and your ... • 36. How Divorce Has Changed Changing Society Society is constantly changing. We are able to visualize these changes year after year by way of statistics. This allows us to be able to use these values to qualitatively analyze correlation, causation, and effect. One topic that has benefited from the use of statistics to measure its effects is divorce. Divorce is defined as the legal process of dissolving a marriage, thus separating two individuals (Merriam). From generation to generation, divorce has been on a steady increase. The annual rate of divorce more than doubled between the mid 1960s and the early 1980s (Croteau). As of recent, statistics show an increase in divorce rates from less than 20% to nearly 50% since 1960 (Croteau). Throughout history, divorce has remained a controversial topic. Perceptions of divorce have drastically changed essentially because the value of marriage has changed. Marriage was once seen as a practical necessity and an irrevocable commitment. The view of marriage caused divorce to be perceived as a stigma. Divorce in earlier generations was not granted by the court system unless there were extenuating circumstances (Evolution). For example, if the woman in the marriage was unable to conceive children the divorce would be granted to the man. This remained the standard practice until the 1970 s with the introduction of no fault divorces (Croteau). No fault divorces were divorces granted to a family based solely on the request of one of the partners (Croteau). This legal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. A Case Study Of Erikson s Theory Of Psychosocial Development Introduction In this assignment, I will be focusing on Erikson s theory of psychosocial development. There are eight stages in which only the fifth stage namely identity versus confusion will be discussed. Aspects such as identity crises, exploration of autonomy whilst developing a sense of self, factors that may contribute to identity formation as well as the successful/unsuccessful resolution of this particular stage will be discussed thoroughly. James Marcia s identity statuses will be highlighted. The discussion will then progress to the psychosocial development of a case study based on Anna Monroe in connection to the difficulties she faced namely gender, sexuality, peer pressure, suicide and the experimentation with different identities she encountered. Adolescence refers to the transition period experienced by children that occur between childhood and adulthood (Shefer, 2011). Identity is first confronted in adolescence between the ages 12 19 years old, because of physical and hormonal changes in the body. It is also due to the introduction of formal operations in cognitive development and societal expectation that this contributes to an individual s identity to be explored and established (McAdams, 2009). The forces within and outside (family, community) the individual that promote identity development usually create a sense of tension. The basic task is, in Erikson s terms, fidelity or truthfulness and consistency to one s core self or faith in one s ideology (Fleming, 2004: 9), in a nutshell: Who am I and where am I ... Due to the drug industry booming, there has been turmoil between various drug cartels leading to many deaths of innocent people. Many people, not only Mexican, have suffered from the violence of this drug war. There are dozens of drug a cartels in the Americas. In Mexico, there are two primary affiliations which other cartels align to, the Sinaloa Cartel and Los Zetas. These cartels also have presence in the United States, which is negatively impacting our country because of their extreme violence and murderous acts. Many would argue that these criminal acts are also acts of terrorism. The convergence or nexus between terrorist groups and transnational crime has its foundation on the symbiotic link between the two. The convergence entails a dynamic that allows both entities to benefit financially. This convergence, which entails long term and short term agreements, exists along a continuum and its aim is to exchange expertise such as counterfeiting, bomb making or money laundering, or operational support that enhances access to the smuggling routes (Piazza 299). A study carried out by the Library of Congress regarding criminal and terrorist organizations realized that the convergence between the two entities comes in three wide blueprints. The first form of contact between terrorist and criminal organizations is alliances of mutual benefit. In this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
