The document discusses research into whether the internet makes children smarter today. It describes conducting a survey of 30 parents about their children's internet use. The results show that most parents allow their children to use the internet, which 80% agree helps children perform better educationally and enjoy learning. However, 90% also feel it can make children lazy. Overall, 70% of parents believe the internet is making children smarter today by providing educational resources and interactions online from a young age. The researcher concludes the hypothesis that the internet improves children's intelligence is proven true. Some recommendations include parents spending more time online with children and setting reasonable limits on internet use.
There are positive and negative effects of internet on children and kids of these era. The discussion is about the internet and it's effects on kids. Tips for parents are also discussed for the solution.
Technology Affecting the learning Behavior of ChildrensRupa Bhowmik
Â
Itâs important to come together as parents, teachers and therapists to help society âwake upâ and see the devastating effects technology is having not only on our childâs physical, psychological and behavioral health, but also on their ability to learn and sustain personal and family relationships. While technology is a train that will continually move forward, knowledge regarding its detrimental effects, and action taken toward balancing the use of technology with critical factors for development, will work toward sustaining our children. While no one can argue the benefits of advanced technology in todayâs world, connection to these devices may have resulted in a disconnection from what society should value most, children.
We need to understand the ways technology is impacting our children, and how to encourage the right use of technology so it can have a positive effect on their behavior and development, as opposed to a negative one

In this modern world, life without internet is not possible. So is it really that important that we cannot survive without a moment with it? And what are its effect?
Nowadays, it is very much common to see smart phone on child's hand. They are master to use, play and glue on smart mobile very early age of life. But we should envision the Impact of smart phone on child development. Every parent should concern about the screen time of the child.

Abstract
This study investigated the effects of demographics and parenting on Chinese teenagersâ internet use and usage at home. Using a sample of 575 Chinese teenagers, some internet use and usage patterns in relation to individual characteristics and parenting influence were observed. The findings from hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed that parents still play a dominant role in influencing internet use and usage among the teenagers, as compared with their own influence. Learning-related and leisure-related internet usages were positively related to parental warmth and parental control respectively. Overall, this study provides a snapshot of teenagersâ internet use and usage at home in China today.

Introduction
Modern technology has been playing a significant role in children development. Nowadays technology has improved and is accessible in every home. As a result, it becomes fundamental in children development. Some of the appliances such as TVs, Radio, mobile phones and computers are the main aspects of technology that plays a significant role in children development. Also, the internet is one of the primary technology that has an enormous impact on children life. Many children have opened social network accounts where they correspond with their friends, post their feelings and follow updates. A survey was done in 2013 that involved interview of 1463 parents revealed that most youth uses media devices such as tablets, smartphones and follow TV programs. As a result, this technology has played a significant role in children development. Children have achieved various knowledge from technology and have exposed to the whole world. Nowadays, children have taken advantage of the shift from analogue digital. Most parents and guardians have bought their children mobile, computers, and tablets for gaming, learning and for fun. As the children grow, they keep advancing in technology. Therefore, technology has contributed to children positive development. However, it has adversely contributed to poor children growth and development. Since technology has both positive and adverse impacts children, kids should be restricted from harmful technologies. More so, parents and all players should ensure that children are not exposed to harmful technology that will adversely affect positive growth and development. The following points will justify that adverse and favorable impacts of technology in child development. (Rowan, 2014)
The education sector has benefited from improved technology. Availability and accessibility of cheap internet technologies have helped children get rid of literacy. In many countries, children are introduced to computers at early ages. In fact at grade one, a child is taught on how to use a computer. However, in the underdeveloped countries, things are opposite. Children grow without the use of computers. Now, how does technology impact on child development as a far as education is concerned? As quoted earlier, the internet is one of the primary technology that affect children habits, growth, and development. Currently, children have benefited from Internet technologies since they can access any information they need. More so, they can research on any assignments assigned by their instructor. Frequent use of internet, therefore, help them to realize what the world needs and as a result they can choose their pas.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as âdistorted thinkingâ.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
Â
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasnât one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
Are Children Smarter Today Because of the internet
1. Are children smarter today
because of the internet ?
Prepared By,
Name: Md Jahirul Islam Sojib
ID # 133 0152 640
Prepared For,
Faculty Name : Dr. Deena P Forkan
2. Area of Research
⢠I intended to find out if the parents agree with
the hypothesis that internet is the main reason
of children being smarter today. In order to find
my desired information I analyzed the following
research areas
⢠Monthly Income
⢠Do they allow children to use the internet
⢠What electronics they use to access the internet
⢠And many more
3. Methodology
⢠For my primary research, I have conducted a
survey of 30 participants who are parents of the
children and provided them with a questionnaire
with 10 different type of questions in order to get
a series of useful data
⢠For my secondary research, I used the resources
of the library , online journals and also used the
help of search engine ( Google )
6. In both graphs, 80 % of the participants agree that
children performs better after using educational
website and they enjoy it.
7. 70 % of the participants think that children understanding on the
educational website depends on the layout of the website. And majority of
the children learn very quickly (according to the pie chart.)
8. According to the bar graph,Children neglect their
study and making them lazy. 90 % of the
participants say so.
9. Lastly, I got 70 % positive response that internet is
the source of making the children smarter.
According to the response, I can conclude that my
hypothesis has been proven true.
10. Secondary data presentation
⢠Children of 2 years old, more than 90% of them
have an online history. At 5, more than 50%
regularly interact with a computer or tablet
device, and by 7 or 8, many kids regularly play
video games
⢠( Chelsea C., 2012 )
11. Limitation
⢠The only limitation encountered during the
course of this research is the sample size. It was
difficult to get a proper representation of the
population, as 30 parents cannot be said to be
enough to actually represent the number of
parentsâ with children who use the internet
worldwide
12. Recommendation
⢠Since the hypothesis has been proven true, it means the
internet plays a direct role in the children being smarter
today.
⢠I have some recommendations :
1. Parents and teachers should spend time with children
in the online environment.
2. Parents should (in consultation with their children) set
reasonable use and time limits of Internet use.
3. Full use of filtering and parental controls should be
made both in the house and in the school environment.
4. Parents and educators should emphasize that the
principle âDonât speak to strangersâ also applies in the
online environment.
13. Thanks for your valuable time
