Impact of Recent Technological Innovations on Society
Technology has impacted society in both positive and negative ways. Its emergence and development have been quick, and it is still expanding in our lives. It has influenced all spheres of life, ranging from social, economic to political, and legal sectors. Technologically emerging countries have weak economies. Project actualization times are cut by half due to the application of technology. Technology has impacted many fields such as in medicine, education, communication, genetics, environment, among other areas. It has, for instance, helped in the development of drugs and treatments of diseases such as cancer. It has also helped in curbing of crimes. A lot of people do not realize the negative impact, and its advancement has led to she changes in people's lifestyle. Technology has changed the mode of interaction in families. It as also led resulted in ethical issues such as in the medical field. This paper explores the positive impact of internet technology.
The internet is a system of computers which are interconnected and communicating through protocols such as TCP or IP via various media types. It has immensely impacted society in positive ways. First, education and research have been made easier. The creation of websites and databases has enabled access to information online to be possible. For instance, the google search engine is fed with algorithms that allow one to search for knowledge and get it within seconds or microseconds. The results are arranged in the order of their relevance. Sorting of the information in the order of significance makes research easier. Indeed, research has been facilitated by the availability of information online in the form of journals, online college libraries, online magazines, and E-books. E-books are just the PDF versions of the hardcopy ones. Before the advent of the internet, the research involved going to the libraries and spending hours getting information that is specific to the topic of study. Examples of online journals and websites include Science Direct Journal, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, among many others. On the same note, the internet has led to the emergence of online discussion forums such as Flip grid and Nearpod. The forums provide an avenue for teacher and students interactions. Students who participate actively by writing new topics and commenting on the pots of other students and teachers benefit highly from the forums (Alzahrani 165).
Thirdly, the internet has revolutionized the communication industry. The Internet plays a significant role in the communication industry. It facilitates the sending and receiving of electronic messages. Social media applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram enables people to communicate from any corner of the globe. People can send emails by use of, for instance, Gmail. Social media sites connect an astonishingly large number of people. For example, Facebook, the m ...

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

3. The foremost target of Internet has always been speedy
communication and it has excelled way beyond the
expectations. New innovations are only going to make it
faster and more reliable. Now, you can communicate in a
fraction of second with a person who is sitting in the other
part of the world. With the help of such services, it has
become very easy to establish a kind of global friendship
where you can share your thoughts and explore other
cultures.
4. Entertainment is another popular reason why many people
prefer to surf the Internet. In fact, the Internet has become
quite successful in trapping the multifaceted entertainment
industry. Downloading games or just surfing the celebrity
websites are some of the uses people have discovered.
Even celebrities are using the Internet effectively for
promotional campaigns.
5. Internet is one of the best and cheapest ways to promote
your business or product. Starting from 10$, you can
already have your own website and start reaching your
potential customers. You can also use Multiply or Blogger if
you don’t want to spend money for your website.
6. Today some newspapers are attempting to integrate the
internet into every aspect of their operations, i.e., reporters
writing stories for both print and online, and classified
advertisements appearing in both media; others operate
websites that are more distinct from the printed newspaper.
7. Education is one of the best things that the internet can provide.
There are a number of books, reference books, online help
centre's, expert’s views and other study oriented material on the
internet. There are lots and lots of websites which are related to
different topics. You can visit them and can gain endless amount
of knowledge that you wish to have. With the use of internet for
education, you are non-longer dependent on some other person
to come and teach you. There can’t be any excellent use of the
internet other than education as it is the key to achieve
everything in life
8. In order to do research you need to go through hundreds of books as
well as the references and that was one of the most difficult jobs to do
earlier. Since the internet came into life, everything is available just a
click away. You just have to search for the concerned topic and you will
get hundreds of references that may be beneficial for your research. And
since internet is here to make your research public, you can then benefit
a large amount of people from the research work that you have done.
Research is one such thing which has got lots of benefit from this
evolution of internet.
9. One cannot imagine an online life without Face book or
Twitter. Social networking has become so popular amongst
youth that it might one day replace physical networking. It
has evolved as a great medium to connect with millions of
people with similar interests. Apart from finding long-lost
friends, you can also look for a job, business opportunities.
10. File sharing is the practice of providing access to digitally
stored information, such as computer programs,
multimedia , documents or electronic books. It may be
applied through a variety of ways. Common methods of
storage, transmission and dispersion include manual
sharing utilizing removable media.
11. The Internet has made life very convenient. With numerous
online services you can now perform all your transactions
online. You can book tickets for a movie, transfer funds, pay
utility bills, taxes etc., and right from your home.
12.
13. If you use the Internet for online banking, social networking
or other services, you may risk a theft to your personal
information such as name, address, credit card number etc.
People can access this information through unsecured
connections or by planting software and then use your
personal details for their benefit. Needless to say, this may
land you in serious trouble.
14. Spamming refers to sending unwanted e-mails, which
serve no purpose and needlessly obstruct the computer
system. Such illegal activities can be very frustrating as it
makes it slower to access our email accounts and makes
the entire service unreliable for consumers
15. There is an addiction for everything that pertains to the web
and that includes excessive surfing, online gambling, social
networking, and gaming addiction. There are now
psychiatric clinics and doctors that specifically cater to
resolving the problems created by the Internet. These
addictions create both physical as well as mental issues
that can lead to health complications if left unattended.
16. Another proposed disadvantage is that a couple of studies
have found strong correlations between frequency of
Internet use and loneliness. People that use the Internet
often are more likely to become lonely and depressed than
those that don’t.
17. Internet users are often plagued by virus attacks on their
systems. Virus programs are inconspicuous and may get
activated if you click a seemingly harmless link. Computers
connected to the Internet are very prone to targeted virus
attacks and may end up crashing.
