To study to external structures of the rat
To remove the skin and study the muscular system
of the rat

Dissection Tips:
Use rat dissection guide booklet and colored photo card
to help you identify structures.
No food during lab!
Wear goggles, gloves, and aprons.
Dispose of waste (rat skin) in waste container, not
regular trash!
Store rats in labeled plastic baggie.
Rinse and dry dissection trays & tools at the end of lab.
Leave dissection kits open for air-drying.
Wipe down tables with disinfectant when finished.
Wash your hands!
