The document summarizes the Amárach Research Economic Recovery Index from April 2009 to December 2016. Key findings include:
- The Economic Recovery Index remains flat at 42.2, showing little change from last year.
- Consumer sentiment indicators related to spending, financial comfort, and optimism have remained relatively unchanged in the past year.
- Levels of stress and anger among Irish consumers have fallen to the lowest levels recorded, though happiness is trending downward despite the economic recovery.
Our monthly look at the shopping, saving and borrowing intentions of Irish consumers against a background of economic recovery. This month we have a special focus on customers of different banks.
Our Economic Recovery Index has reached its highest level ever. Consumer spending intentions - including buying Irish - are also at their peak. This month includes a special profile of customers of Ireland's mobile phone networks in the context of economic recovery.
Our last ERI report for 2015 takes a look ahead to spending on holidays, cars and houses - as well as looking at the motivations of customers of Ireland's energy suppliers.

The beer industry is transforming before our eyes. Start-ups are booming and driving growth, particularly here in Oregon. However, craft beer overall is slowing and macros are declining outright. What does the outlook hold for Oregon breweries and what growth opportunities remain? At the Oregon Brewers Guild conference today I will be on a panel that looks at some of these issues and trends. I clearly don't have all the answers but will cover one good opportunity that is largely untapped to date: international exports.
The Oregon Office of Economic Analysis presented an overview of the travel and tourism industry to the Transient Lodging Tax Workgroup on July 11th, 2016. The workgroup was setup following the passage of HB 4146 which raised the statewide lodging tax. Topic covered include consumer spending on tourism, demographics, employment, geographic footprint of the industry, wages and the outlook.

We have been tracking the economic and emotional wellbeing of the Irish nation every month for the past 9 years. The good news is that our economic wellbeing is clearly getting better, the bad news is that our emotional wellbeing appears to be getting worse...
Our monthly index of Irish consumer spending, saving and borrowing intentions has reached an all time high nearly 9 years after we started measuring the mood of the nation.
Our latest report is out on the spending, saving and borrowing intentions of Irish consumers.
Maybe there's a recovery under way...?

We have been tracking the mood and expectations of 1,000 Irish consumers every months since April 2009. Six years on, it is clear that consumer sentiment is vastly improved from the dark days of 2010, and bodes well for consumer spending over the rest of 2015.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

2. 2Economic Recovery Index
Year’s End
It’s good to look back at the end of the year
and appreciate how far you have come.
Our Economic Recovery Index allows us to
look back even further – and we’ve seen
massive improvements from the lowest
points six years ago.
As 2016 comes to an end, there is much to
be grateful for in that regard.
The sources of uncertainty may have
changed since 2010, but there’s still plenty
of uncertainty going into 2017, and we’ll be
here next year to help you navigate the year
ahead.
3. 3Economic Recovery Index
The Emotional Recovery
We have been reporting our monthly
Economic Recovery Index since April 2009.
We set out over six years ago to assess the
psychological impact of the recession and to
chart our ‘emotional progress’ towards
recovery alongside our ‘economic progress’.
This report summarises our Economic
Recovery Index results from April 2009
to December 2016.
The most recent fieldwork was conducted
during 6th to 15th December 2016 inclusive.
See how bad it was at one of the lowest points
just six years ago:

5. 5Economic Recovery Index
Using the answers to the question on ‘stages of recovery’ we have created the Economic
Recovery Index, which ranges from 0 to 100 (0 = deep recession; 100 = back to peak).

8. 8Economic Recovery Index
Recession, Resilience & Recovery
We started calling our Index the ‘Recovery
Index’ back in April 2009
Over these past seven years we have tracked
the highs and lows (and very lows) in terms of
the mood of the nation and the impact on
consumer spending, borrowing and saving
intentions.
We’ve also seen remarkable resilience on the
part of the Irish people when it comes to
‘getting on’ with their lives, despite macro-
economic uncertainties.
In this section we look at some of the key
indicators when it comes to consumer
spending and saving intentions.

13. 13Economic Recovery Index
The Real Mood of the Nation
When we started measuring and reporting the
Economic Recovery Index we wanted it to be
more than just another ‘confidence index’.
We therefore set out to measure the full
spectrum of emotions experienced by Irish
consumers – positive as well as negative ones
– in order to provide a unique insight into the
real ‘mood’ of the nation.
Lately some interesting but rather strange
things have emerged: our levels of stress and
anger have fallen to their lowest levels ever,
but our level of happiness is trending
downwards as well, despite the recovery.
The following charts show the trends to
December 2016.
