This document discusses a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of a co-flow jet aerofoil design intended to enhance aerodynamic performance. The analysis compares the lift, drag, and stall characteristics of a baseline aerofoil to a modified co-flow jet aerofoil design. The co-flow jet aerofoil incorporates jets of high-pressure air injected towards the leading edge and sucked from the trailing edge, maintaining zero net mass flux across the aerofoil. This is intended to increase circulation and lift while decreasing drag. The purpose of the intake of an aircraft is to supply the engine with a proper airflow during various flight conditions. A good intake design is characterized by providing high pressure recovery and low distortion. Therefore it is essential to divert as much of the boundary layer as possible since it is a factor which affect the quality of the airflow. On aircrafts with engines installed on wing pylons, which is the most common configuration on transport and passenger aircraft, the inlet is short and leads directly to the engine and the pressure recovery is good. For engines that are integrated with the body, for example on fighter aircrafts, the airflow is travelling along the body of the aircraft before it reaches the air intake. A boundary layer builds up along the body, something which is not desirable, especially in the part of the flow that supplies the engines. The pressure recovery is lower because of this, something that has a negative effect upon engine thrust. There are, however, ways to prevent the boundary layer from entering the inlet, or at least to minimize the amount that does. It is common to use a boundary layer diverter. It affects the aircraft performance in so many ways. So, it needs some other provision or technology to overcome intake problem in fighter crafts. In the present work, a well-designed compression surface is installed in the entry of the engine intake to redirect boundary layer and create shock wave for getting desired flow in the compressor (When a flow crosses a shock wave, its velocity got reduced, which in term increases pressure). The compression surface is placed at the entry of the diffuser to perform the above mentioned operation. The work extents to, a comparative investigation is proposed for with and without compression surface. ANSYS-Fluent is a commercial CFD code which will be used for performing the simulation and the simulation configuration contains two different Mach speeds (0.7 & 2) with three different angles of attacks (0°, 7.5° and 15°). The simulation results are evaluated to find out pressure recovery in the engine intake between with and without compression surface.

The Linear static and Normal Mode analysis were carried out using MSc Nastran & Msc Patran under different pressure conditions and the results were verified with the help of classical approach. The Stress and displacement results were found and verified and hence arrived to the conclusion about the optimization of the wing structure.

The energy exhaust recovery in engines is obtained using turbochargers which are widely used in the automotive industry. A turbocharged engine leads to a better overall system efficiency and a reduction in exhaust emissions compared, at constant power, with a naturally aspirated engine. The numerical approach in the present work is to explore ways of improving the performances of the radial inflow turbine. This work investigates the performances of a radial inflow turbine under steady states conditions and how they are affected by the rotor geometry. The radial inflow turbine is investigated numerically using 3D Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations, the objective hear is to determine the optimum of performance characteristics of the turbine. The building of the geometry and the generation of unstructured meshes are achieved using ANSYS-ICEM software whereas in order to simulate the flow, the ANSYS-CFX code is applied. The numerical method is also used to determine optimum geometrical characteristics such as the optimum of blade number. It has been found that the rotor with 12 blades gives better performances.

Results show the new design increases head from 8.12 m/stage to 9.60 m/stage and hydraulic efficiency from 67.1% to 93.68% compared to the existing design, demonstrating the improved performance achieved through design modifications and CFD analysis.

increasing the pressure above it. This leads to an increased pressure difference over the surface of the undertray which
translates to increase in downforce. The car is able to have a 10% decrease in lap times on a 500m racetrack.
Vibration analysis of centrifugal blower impeller for various materials using...eSAT Publishing House
This document presents a vibration analysis of a centrifugal blower impeller made of different materials using finite element analysis. A centrifugal blower impeller model was created in CATIA and analyzed in ANSYS for three materials: steel, aluminum, and glass/epoxy composite. The analysis found that glass/epoxy composite had the lowest mass and equivalent stress but highest total and directional deformation compared to steel and aluminum. Steel and aluminum showed similar natural frequencies while glass/epoxy frequencies were much lower. Glass/epoxy also showed the highest deformational amplitude versus frequency. Optimization of design of mixed flow centrifugal pump impeller using cfdeSAT Journals
Abstract
Centrifugal pumps are widely used hydraulic machines, irrespective of the fact that their performance is generally not very good. So, turning them into more efficient machines is quite a challenge. The performance of a centrifugal pump is highly dependent on its geometrical parameters and its vane profile. In order to analyze the flow through complex systems like centrifugal pumps, Computation fluid dynamics (CFD) has been used. This work aims to study the performance analysis of a centrifugal mixed flow pump designed to deliver 0.25 m3/s of water with a head of 20 m at a speed of 1450 rpm using ANSYS CFX (ver.14.0). PTC Creo (ver. 2.0) has been used to model the pump unit. The performance of the pump was first determined using the existing vane angles and thickness of the blade then, the inlet vane angle, the outlet vane angle along with the thickness of the blade has been varied to analyze the pump’s performance . The results show that for an initial inlet angle 21.08˚, outlet angle 16.28˚ and blade thickness as 10mm, the efficiency of the pump was 84%. However, the efficiency of pump rises to 89.19% for the optimized angles and blade thickness.

There are so many literatures available on influence of design parameters of axial flow compressor over its performance. Few literatures only are available for effects of aspect ratio of blade over performance of compressor. A study is proposed to be carried out to verify the effect of aspect ratio on the performance of single stage subsonic compressor through ANSYS-CFX software. The analysis will be carried out for the constant tip diameter of the compressor rotor blade having an aspect ratio 1, 2 and 3 and to obtain the pressure loss and flow parameters of the compressor stage. Further increase in aspect ratio will lead to structural problem of compressor. Therefore, there will be optimum aspect ratio between 2 and 3. Simulation will be conducted to aspect ratios of 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8 and 2.9 to find optimum ratio using ANSYS-CFX commercial CFD software.

The energy exhaust recovery in engines is obtained using turbochargers which are widely used in the automotive industry. A turbocharged engine leads to a better overall system efficiency and a reduction in exhaust emissions compared, at constant power, with a naturally aspirated engine. The numerical approach in the present work is to explore ways of improving the performances of the radial inflow turbine. This work investigates the performances of a radial inflow turbine under steady states conditions and how they are affected by the rotor geometry. The radial inflow turbine is investigated numerically using 3D Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations, the objective hear is to determine the optimum of performance characteristics of the turbine. The building of the geometry and the generation of unstructured meshes are achieved using ANSYS-ICEM software whereas in order to simulate the flow, the ANSYS-CFX code is applied. The numerical method is also used to determine optimum geometrical characteristics such as the optimum of blade number. It has been found that the rotor with 12 blades gives better performances.

Abstract
Centrifugal pumps are widely used hydraulic machines, irrespective of the fact that their performance is generally not very good. So, turning them into more efficient machines is quite a challenge. The performance of a centrifugal pump is highly dependent on its geometrical parameters and its vane profile. In order to analyze the flow through complex systems like centrifugal pumps, Computation fluid dynamics (CFD) has been used. This work aims to study the performance analysis of a centrifugal mixed flow pump designed to deliver 0.25 m3/s of water with a head of 20 m at a speed of 1450 rpm using ANSYS CFX (ver.14.0). PTC Creo (ver. 2.0) has been used to model the pump unit. The performance of the pump was first determined using the existing vane angles and thickness of the blade then, the inlet vane angle, the outlet vane angle along with the thickness of the blade has been varied to analyze the pump’s performance . The results show that for an initial inlet angle 21.08˚, outlet angle 16.28˚ and blade thickness as 10mm, the efficiency of the pump was 84%. However, the efficiency of pump rises to 89.19% for the optimized angles and blade thickness.

There are so many literatures available on influence of design parameters of axial flow compressor over its performance. Few literatures only are available for effects of aspect ratio of blade over performance of compressor. A study is proposed to be carried out to verify the effect of aspect ratio on the performance of single stage subsonic compressor through ANSYS-CFX software. The analysis will be carried out for the constant tip diameter of the compressor rotor blade having an aspect ratio 1, 2 and 3 and to obtain the pressure loss and flow parameters of the compressor stage. Further increase in aspect ratio will lead to structural problem of compressor. Therefore, there will be optimum aspect ratio between 2 and 3. Simulation will be conducted to aspect ratios of 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8 and 2.9 to find optimum ratio using ANSYS-CFX commercial CFD software.

In the field of commercial goods transport, trucks have an important place. One of the main problems faced by truck manufacturers is the Air resistance associated with the highway running. Since trucks have a large frontal area and the presence of a trailer also leads to the truck experiencing significant resistance which has to be overcome. This can be reduced through the use of wind deflectors. A well-designed wind deflector can reduce wind resistance to a certain extent. Optimizing the angle of the wind deflector also causes reduced drag force acting on the vehicle, thereby reducing the fuel intake. Here the initial drag of 2050 N is reduced to 1688.453 N using a 1.75 m wind deflector at 45 degree angle resulting in the reduction of drag by 17.6%.

Three RC frame models with varying heights (4, 8, and 12 stories) were analyzed in ETABS software under different R factors ranging from 1 to 5. The results showed that displacement increased as the R factor decreased, indicating less linear behavior for lower R factors. Drift also decreased proportionally with increasing R factors from 1 to 5. Shear forces in the frames decreased with higher R factors. In general, R factors of 3 to 5 produced more satisfactory performance with less displacement and drift. ### How TDM Works
1. **Time Slots Allocation**: The core principle of TDM is to assign distinct time slots to each signal. During each time slot, the respective signal is transmitted, and then the process repeats cyclically. For example, if there are four signals to be transmitted, the TDM cycle will divide time into four slots, each assigned to one signal.
2. **Synchronization**: Synchronization is crucial in TDM systems to ensure that the signals are correctly aligned with their respective time slots. Both the transmitter and receiver must be synchronized to avoid any overlap or loss of data. This synchronization is typically maintained by a clock signal that ensures time slots are accurately aligned.
3. **Frame Structure**: TDM data is organized into frames, where each frame consists of a set of time slots. Each frame is repeated at regular intervals, ensuring continuous transmission of data streams. This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.
