This document discusses a seminar paper on the development of hand-free driving technology through the Automotive Collision Avoidance Systems (ACAS) program, a collaboration between Delphi-Delco Electronics and General Motors. The program aims to reduce accidents caused by driver error by implementing advanced radar sensing, vision-based sensors, and GPS for real-time vehicle positioning and obstacle detection. The project's phases outline the development, integration, and operational testing of a forward collision warning system to enhance vehicle safety and driver assistance.
