THE ANALYTICAL STUDY OF MESHING OF DOUBLE HELICAL GEARIJARIIT
Gears are the most important components of a Power Transmission System. The recent advancement and trend in technology requires gears operating at high load capacities and speeds with reduced space requirement. A gear normally fails when the tooth stress exceeds the allowable limit. So, it is essential to keep the maximum stress in a gear tooth under a specified limit for a given loading conditions. Analysis of gears is carried out to find out the possible laudation of failure and taking a corrective measure for the same. A gear failure is expensive not in terms of the cost of replacement but due to the downtime and loss of production associated with the failure. Gear design should consider all the possible loads that it can experience during its life. Surface fatigue and fracture is one of the major problem in gear and gearbox design. In order to find out and analyze the exact location of failure and the stress value at which gear fails, stress analysis of the double helical gear has been done in ANSYS. Load conditions to be experience by the gear has been applied along with other constraints

Gears are one of the most critical components in mechanical power transmission systems.Transmission error is considered to be one of the main contributors to noise and vibration in a gear
set. Transmission error measurement has become popular as an area of research. To estimate transmission error in a gear system, the characteristics of involute gears were analyzed using ANSYS. The contact stresses were examined using 2-D FEM models. The bending stresses in the tooth root were examined using a 3-D FEM model.

Finite element modeling and bending stress analysis of non standard spur geareSAT Journals
Abstract Gears are toothed wheels, transmitting power and motion from one shaft to another by means of successive engagement of teeth. Having a higher degree of reliability, compactness, high velocity ratio and finally able to transmit motion at a very low velocity, gears are gaining importance as the most efficient means for transmitting power. A gearing system is susceptible to problems such as interference, backlash and undercut. The contact portions of tooth profiles that are not conjugate is called interference. Furthermore due to interference and in the absence of undercut, the involute tip or face of the driven gear tends to dig out the non-involute flank of the driver. The response of a spur gear and its wear is an engineering problem that has not been completely overcome yet. With the perspective of overcoming such defects and for increase the efficiency of gearing system, the use of a non-standard spur gear i.e., an asymmetric spur gear having different pressure angles for drive and coast side of the tooth comes into picture. This paper emphasis on the generation of an asymmetric spur gear tooth using modeling software and bending stress at the root of Asymmetric spur gear tooth is estimated by finite element analysis using ANSYS software and results were compared with the standard spur gear tooth. A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF DESIGN OF SIMPLE SPUR GEAR TRAIN AND HELICAL GEAR TRAI...ijiert bestjournal
In recent times, the gear design has become a highl y complicated and comprehensive subject. A designer of modern gear drive system must have to r emember that the main objective of gear drive is to transmit higher power with comparatively smaller overall dim ensions of the driving system which can be construc ted with minimum possible manufacturing cost, runs reas onably free of noise and vibration and which requir es little maintenance. In this paper single stage spur gear t rain and helical gear train with a idler gear are d esigned by American Gear Manufacturing Association (AGMA) stan dard. A idler gear is placed between two gearwheel to obtained the same direction of rotation. AGMA stres s equation is used to determined the tooth bending strength and surface contact strength. As a result, dimensio ns of gears are find out and comparative study is c arried out to select the optimum design of gear train for a give n input parameter

ANALYSIS OF STRESS RELIEVING FEATURES OF ASYMMETRIC SPUR GEARijiert bestjournal
Gears are commonly used for transmitting power. The y develop high stress concentration at the root and the point of contact. The repeated stressing on the fil lets causes the fatigue failure of gear tooth. If g ear fails in tensile fatigue, the results are catastrophic and o ccur with little or no warnings. Therefore for all the reasons mentioned above, this work is of more practical imp ortance. For many years, gear design has been impro ved by using improved material, hardening surfaces with he at treatment and carburization, and shot penning to improve surface finish etc. Few more efforts have been made to improve the durability and strength by altering the pressure angle, using the asymmetric teeth, alterin g the geometry of root fillet curve and so on. Most of the above methods do not guarantees the interchange abi lity of the existing gear systems. The main objecti ve of this seminar is to add circular shaped holes to reduce s tress concentration. This work presents the possibi lities of using the stress redistribution techniques by intro ducing the stress relieving features in the stresse d zone to the advantage of reduction of root fillet stress in spu r gear.
Modeling and Reduction of Root Fillet Stress in Spur Gear Using Stress Relie...IJMER
A gear is a component within a transmission device that transmits rotational forces. Gears
are commonly used for transmitting power. Gear teeth failure due to fatigue is a common fact
observed. Even a small reduction in the root tensile stress results in great raise in the fatigue life of a
gear. They develop high stress concentration at the root and the point of contact. The repeated
stressing on the fillets causes the fatigue failure of gear tooth. For many years, gear design has been
improved by using better material, hardening surfaces with carburization and heat treatment, and shot
penning to improve surface finish etc. Few more hard work have been made to improve the durability
and strength by changing the pressure angle, using the asymmetric teeth, varying the geometry of root
fillet curve and so on. The majority of the above systems don't ensure the compatibility of the current
rigging frameworks. This work presents the possibilities of utilizing the stress redistribution techniques
by introducing the Stress relieving features in the stressed zone to the advantage of reduction of root
fillet stress in spur gear
Root Fillet Stress Reduction in Spur Gear having UndercutIJLT EMAS
Generally the gear tooth fails due to high stress at root
region. Even a slight reduction in the stress results in greater
increase in life of the gear. For a compact design of a gear box, it
is necessary that the number of teeth of the pinion should be less
.For a given pressure angle there is a limiting value on minimum
number of teeth below which undercut occurs. The spur gear
with undercut suffers in strength severely. Therefore the gears
with undercut are generally avoided. The present work explores
the possibilities of increasing the strength of spur gear having
undercut thereby reduce the overall size of the gearbox. A
systematic study is conducted to understand the effect of
introducing circular stress relief features on stress distribution in
a statically loaded spur gear. Circular stress relief features of
various sizes at different radial distance and angular position are
placed around the end point on critical section on loaded side of
the gear tooth profile. Effect of these stress relief feature on
maximum stress are investigated.

Automobile Management System Project Report.pdfKamal Acharya
The proposed project is developed to manage the automobile in the automobile dealer company. The main module in this project is login, automobile management, customer management, sales, complaints and reports. The first module is the login. The automobile showroom owner should login to the project for usage. The username and password are verified and if it is correct, next form opens. If the username and password are not correct, it shows the error message.
When a customer search for a automobile, if the automobile is available, they will be taken to a page that shows the details of the automobile including automobile name, automobile ID, quantity, price etc. “Automobile Management System” is useful for maintaining automobiles, customers effectively and hence helps for establishing good relation between customer and automobile organization. It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. On the other hand the stock of automobiles can be maintained perfectly by the automobile shop manager overcoming the drawbacks of existing system.
