Fourth Grade Justification Report
Angel Villavicencio and I Luis. Alvarenga will be heading to Landers Elementary school to present
the fourth grade class taught by Ms. McCall information about Earth and its ecosystem. As we go into
each presentation, we will question the students to see how they are gathering and receiving the
information. We will be going to the class for four days spending fifteen minutes each day. We will
use the materials provided in the room such as the whiteboard to get our information through to the
students.
Our parents will provide us transportation to and from the school. In doing this my partner and I hope
to spark something in this generation of children and inspire them to protect the Earth. We will show
an example of the expectations of high school and work that will need to be done. The children of this
generation will be our future, so we need to teach them while they are ... Show more content on

Any data we gather will probably be in the form of simple small classroom activities. Some activities
will be class questions, visual presentations, and songs. We will have a small fun worksheet at the end
of each day to measure the effort each child puts into their work. On the fourth day a fun mini project
will be done by the entire class to benefit the environment and school campus.
The small assignments we provide will be fun work for the fourth graders and we hope they have fun.
We have the permission to go to that school from the teacher. Our health will not only benefit us by
our grade, but also learn how the kids think about the ecosystem. Problems we might face during the
project will be the kids being loud and not listening to us. I really hope they don t because then doing
this project will be an issue. We really want to know what the kid s opinion is going to be either they
care or not about our ecosystem and planet

History Of Sam Phillips
Sam Phillips founded Memphis Recording Services in the early 1950s to record any and every artist
interested in performing at his studio, he had no particular limits on who the artists were expected to
be or what they were supposed to be singing as long as they made him money. The early years would
be spent primarily recording blues artists such as B. B. King, Rufus Thomas, Rosco Gordon, Joe Hill
Louis, and Howlin Wolf. Sam Phillips vision was to bring artists as well as genres together and work
alongside them with the objective to create an entirely new style of music. The studio s name was later
changed to Sun Studios, a name that would end up leaving a legacy that introduced the world to some
of the founding fathers and mothers of rock and roll. Of the countless artists recorded ... Show more

His philosophy was similar to that of Sam Phillips in that he was willing to accept artists from
anywhere on his way to the top, if he could profit from an artist, a deal could be made. He differed
from Sun Studios with his approach to as well as appreciation for artists though as he was careless and
burned relationships with supremely talented artists. He grew up in the Bronx playing guitar and piano
and composed music while still in his teenage years, all of which proved to be important tools in his
producing studio. He reportedly had the extraordinary ability to organize music with artists to
perfection in addition to a recording technique that some referred to as the Wall of Sound. Basically,
the wall of sound was a unique style resembling a raucous roar which was created by many
instruments being played as loudly as possible, mixed with an echoing effect. Phil Spector s success is
evidenced by the many top hits he orchestrated though his studio by artists such as the Crystals,
Ronettes, Righteous Brothers, and Ike and Tina

Anderson s Auteur Theory
The first premise of auteur theory, which acts as a criterion of value to identify directorial talent, is
technical competence in all aspects of mise en scène (Sarris, 1962, pp 562). Although Sarris does not
specify what constitutes good filmmaking, technical competence implies a director s efficiency to
manage the production stages (Morley Silver, 1977) with an ...elementary flair of the medium and a
technical mastery... of ...sets, costumes, cinematography, editing, music and so forth (Chaudhuri,
2013, pp 23). By expertly manipulating these technical aspects, Anderson creates a balanced, stylised
reality in many of his films known as formalistic classicism. Moonrise Kingdom (Moonrise) is a
prime example of Anderson s impeccable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In keeping with auteur theory, Anderson s oeuvre s stylistic choices and thematic elements are a self
reflection of personal experiences such as his childhood. Familial dysfunction, in particular, has a
prominent thematic consistency across Anderson s work due to the director experiencing ...the single
most traumatic event in his childhood...the divorce of his parents (Dilley, 2017, pp 17). This is
strongly evident in Moonrise, which sees such childhood experiences transcribed directly into the
characters, narrative and mise en scène. In Moonrise the protagonists Khaki Scout Sam Shakusky and
love interest Suzy Bishop are children from dysfunctional families just like Anderson. Audiences
blatantly see this theme included within the narrative when Sam s foster parents reject ownership of
him over the phone, and also (as well as in the mise en scène) when an upset Suzy is in a bathtub
reading a book titled Coping with the Very Troubled Child (as she says I hate you to her unfaithful
mother). This prop, Suzy s book, is a direct reference to when an eight year old Anderson stumbled
upon a pamphlet at home titled Coping with the Very Troubled Child (Mottram, 2012). Anderson
portrays his past feeling of upset through Suzy s character and the bathroom s gloomy colour palette
which is a grungy yellowy green. Despite the negative connotations associated

Amy Efaw
The book After, written by Amy Efaw, is an addictive, action packed book. The fiction story is about a
girl named Devon Sky Davenport who was pregnant, but in denial. She wakes up one morning, sick,
and stays home from school that day. That night, she gives birth at home by herself, and throws the
baby in the trash after putting it in a garbage bag. Devon goes to jail where she makes friends and has
to cooperate with her lawyer. Devon can t remember anything from the night when she gave birth but
as things start clicking into place, Devon realizes what she has done, and starts having suicidal
thoughts. Devon must tell her lawyer the details, although it is hard, so she can be tried in a juvenile
court and only get 5 years, but if she doesn t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author uses a great deal of detail when describing characters. For example, the author wrote,
Yellow...yellow. The color of Devon s mom s hair. The color of a sun breaking through the flat gray
clouds. Of a lemon drop. Devon allows her eyes to droop closed for a moment. I can distinctly
imagine the appearance of the characters because the author uses the detail that he does. The plot of
this book moves quickly because she starts to remember things from That Night from flashbacks that
happen often. The text reads, She steps slightly closer to him, lets her shoulder brush his arm as they
walk hand in hand. Lets her hip bump into his. Once. Then. Twice.... The author uses plenty of
imagery when describing places and people. For example, the author wrote, Devon s eyes skim over
the room s three rectangular tables and finds that vacant seat indicated. It s beside the pale girl with
the breads. The girl scoots her chair back to make room for Devon, presenting the seat with an open
hand, her crooked smile creeping back over her face. The author s tone in this book is stressful, and
outraged. An example from the story includes, No! Get out of here! Devon s mom lunges at the man,
grabbing his shoulders from behind, her long nails digging into his jacket. Get the hell out of here! Are
you hearing me? The other man, the one in the uniform, appears suddenly, pulling Devon s mom off
of the first man. The theme of this story is displacement. Devon is a girl who gets good grades, is
involved in sports, and gets her work done on time. She is not someone you would expect to be in jail,
and she is so much different from her peers in jail. I can apply this lesson in my life because if I am
ever in a place where I feel uncomfortable and out of place, I know that it will end soon. This lesson
will make a change in my future

The Risks Of The Wholesale And The Smes.credit Risk
In the recent past, there have been concerns in the companies and businesses such that they have to
show their credit worthiness before they are given a loan. The UK has been fluctuating due to global
inflation rates and therefore this has caused uncertainty of the business. This has made the lending
institutions to be strict in evaluating the credit risks of the wholesale and the SMEs.Credit risk will
measure the probability of a business getting a loss due to a business failure of settling loans. This
convectional credit risks results from the the possibilities of defaulting of the debts, an investment or
invoice. The defaulting of the loans is the major cause of the wholesale credit risk. Individuals or
businesses will always default because of lack of collateral or guarantors to settle the debts.
There are various methods that the banks will use to mitigate the wholesale credit risk. The bank is
required to carry out operational and risks management processes to ensure that all the documents that
have been used to guarantee a particular transaction is legal, binding and valid. There is therefore the
need for the bank to carry out sufficient legal appraisal before a conclusion is made by the bank so as
to recognize the credit risks. The CRM techniques will reduce the wholesale credit risks significantly.
Although this technique reduces credit risk, it consecutively increases other risks such as market,
liquidity and operational risks. It is imperative that the bank

Katie Rommely Analysis
When Katie Rommely has her first child she learns that she must be able to provide her daughter with
more than what she had as a child. Before her children, Katie was soft, she was romantic enough to
marry Johnny only because he could sing, dance, and had a handsome face. By the time she has her
children she realizes she can depend solely on her self to provide for her family and at this point Katie
develops from a hopeless romantic into a Rommely women made out of thin invisible steel (69).
Johnny was not dependable and Katie needed to become stronger to support her family, she grows
from a lovesick girl into a determined and courageous woman. This change resonates into her children
especially Francie. Although her circumstances of her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From a young age she watches Sissy manipulate men using her good looks and her mom survive
through the struggle of having two kids and husband who did not support. And Evy continue her life
when her husband deemed himself a failure and ran away. Francie had the gift of distinguishing the
difference when someone was speaking out of ignorance or was purposely rude. Her teacher was
ignorant about the reality of the world and the meaning of Francie s stories but the women who called
Johanna names and threw rocks at her knew exactly what they were saying and did not regret it.
Furthermore the men in Francie s life do not pit at each other, characters like Johnny, Uncle Whitman,
Steve, Sergeant McShane, Mr. Mcgarrity, while most of them were not strong or perfect characters,
and while They might hate each other they stuck together against the world and any woman who
would ensnare of them (238) Francie s observations and personal experiences made such a strong
impression for herself and an even stronger one on the reader. She develops into a more intelligent girl
and she grows to realize that she shouldn t be influenced by society as she upset at herself for being
embarrassed to smile back when Johanna smiled at her. She grows to understand she must make her
own judgments and not listen to others blindly and she promises herself. As long as I live I will never

I created a lesson plan for my third grade health literacy class. This lesson plan is targeted for third
grade students in the general education classroom. In my classroom I have an abundance of diversity
with different types of learners. My classroom makeup consist of two English language learners in
which I have adapted materials for the personal hygiene lesson. For this lesson the students have to
read an article over hygiene. The article gives great statements on the importance of hygiene.
However, some of the vocabulary used in the article is more advanced for ESL learners. Therefore, I
decided to make some adjustments to it in order to make the vocabulary more comprehensible for the
ESL students. I removed some sentence that weren t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Descriptive Essay About Goldfinger Concert
Crowd surfing at a Goldfinger Concert was the best feeling i ve ever experienced, but getting a
cigarette put out on your back isn t the best feeling in the world. I went to a Sublime with Rome, The
offspring, The Urge, Reel Big Fish, and Goldfinger concert this september for my birthday with my
friends harrison, travis, kam, harrison, and brogan. While we were listening to Goldfinger perform, we
tried to get into the moshpit that was going on at the front of the concert. First, we got our blankets
and pillows ready on the lawn of the main stage and got some snacks from the snack bar, Which was
very, very expensive. A red bull was $5 and a 20oz bottle of water was about $7. Not the best prices
difference between water and a red bull. We got back to the main venue and the urge just started
performing. I didn t really know any songs by them so i just sat there and ate my food that i got from
the snack bar and my backpack that i filled with snacks. The urge ended and we went to the other
venue where people were all migrating to to see the Beastie Boys cover band perform. The bass of the
songs that they were playing were literally making my ears move into my brain. They played a couple
more songs and left the venue. After that we went back to the snack bar and got more water and a little
more snacks for the meantime while the other bands were getting ready to perform. We just got to the
Goldfinger performance and tried to get to the front of the concert by pushing and shoving people out
of the way. It was pretty much impossible to get to the front of the venue because every time we got
closer there were more people bunched up together trying to get closer. Eventually some guy in a
wheelchair came through and we followed the guys behind him but he suddenly got stopped in the
middle of the crowd. Then, we asked these two big guys with muscles the side of yachts. Harrison
went up first and started heading to the front surfing in the crowd. People weren t paying much
attention behind them because they were focused on the concert, so harrison eventually got dropped
onto the floor, but the guy next to him lifted him up again and he made it to the front of the concert
still crowd surfing. The same people lifted me

Ancient Roman Entertainment Essay
Citizens in ancient Rome held their entertainment close. Entertainment was free, and appealed to all
social classes, from slaves to the emperor. Two forms of entertainment are chariot racing and gladiator
fights. These were two of the more popular forms of entertainment available to the average Roman
citizens.
The first form of entertainment I am going to talk about is chariot racing. Chariot racing was the most
popular form of entertainment. It appealed to all social classes, from the lowly slaves to the senators
and the emperor. Juvenal s famous saying panem et circenses has become a sign of entertainment
appeasing people throughout the ages. Although there was no public betting one the races, there was a
large amount of private betting that went on and the chance of earning money probably attracted even
more popularity to the races. The races were so popular that many household items were decorated
with symbols from the racing.
The racers were divided into four different teams, called factions (factiones). These were coloured and
their names came from the colours themselves: the Greens, the Reds, the Blues and the Whites. The
green and blue factions were the most powerful, and later on in the empire, they absorbed the other
two into their ranks. The factions were not just racing teams, they also had political influence. Most
Roman citizens became racing fanatics, supporting one of the factions. Some citizens even resorted to
magic to foul their opponents, showed

The extensible architecture is one of the keys to the successful growth of the Eclipse Ecosystem.
Companies or individuals could develop new plugins, and either releases them as open source or sell
them commercially. The Early Eclipse Architecture had the workbench as the most familiar UI
element for users to perform. The workbench consists of perspectives, views, and editors. Editors are
associated with the file type, so the correct one is launched when a file is opened. An example of view
would be the problems that indicate errors or warning in java code. Editors and views together form a
perspective which presents the tooling to the user in an organized fashion. The Eclipse workbench is
built on the Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) and Jface. Widget toolkits are classified as native or
emulated. Unlike other computer languages such as C and C++, the first version of Java came with a
native widget toolkit library called the Abstract Window Toolkit(AWT). AWT was limited, buggy, and
inconsistent. Hence, a native widget toolkit was switched over to full featured emulated widget toolkit.
A native widget toolkit uses operating system calls to build UI components such as lists and push

other applications on the Desktop. Operating system vendors continuously change the look and enjoy

Summary OfVideotape By Don Delillo
Imagine capturing a homicide on film by accident when you are just a child. Well in this short story
titled Videotape by Don DeLillo which was published in 1994, a young girl by the age of 12 was
recording with a video camera when she caught a murder. The story is being told by a man who is
watching this footage over and over again. He is clearly in awe and shock of what he is witnessing in
the video. Witnessing a murder is not easy for some people, and sometimes people do not know how
to react to these type of things.
Donald Richard Don DeLillo was born on November 20, 1936 in New York City. He is a well known
and beloved author who is adored by many, he has also won the Pulitzer Prize twice. The story is
being told by a man who is watching the tape over and over again. He is narrating the story in first
person and explaining the events that have transpired already. This gentleman cannot believe what he
is watching because he is in shock of how it happened.
There is no particular setting for this place but if there has to be one, it would be on the road or
highway to be more exact. The events of the murder already took place because the man is looking
back at it on the video. The present day would be wherever the man is currently at. In this story, there
are basically only three main characters. The girl who is videotaping is the main one of the story and
the one that we the audience follow. The second main character would be the older man who got killed
in the video.

The Effects Of Federal Mandates On Virginia
The Effects of Federal Mandates on Virginia: Americans with Disabilities Act
And the No Child Left Behind Act
Because of the Supremacy Clause, when the National government makes a new law or mandate, states
and local governments must comply Federal mandates are requirements that the national government
imposes on state and local governments. Following these requirements are often a condition for the
state or local governments to receive grants and financial support for various programs. Many of these
mandates come with money attached, but some do not. Requirements imposed on State and local
governments without the Federal government providing funds are called unfunded mandates (Losco,
Baker 53.) Virginia is affected by many Federal Mandates. Two prevalent mandates the state of
Virginia must comply with is the Americans with Disabilities Act and the No Child Left Behind Act.
Virginia has complied with these mandates by creating a system to determine if a person has a
disability, providing accommodations to those with disabilities, and Virginia has reformed its public
education system. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was put into place in 1990 to ensure
that people could not discriminate against those with disabilities. At the end of every war, there were
newly disabled American veterans that wanted improved civil rights and proper accommodations for
the disabled that needed them. In the 1960 s, veterans from World War II, the Korean War, and the
Vietnam War saw

Reza Shah paid a visit to Ankara to benefit from Ataturk s experience.
The intentions of Reza Shah were the same as Ataturk s intentions in turkey; he was working on
paralyzing the role of Islam in the society and on banning the hijab among other things. Reza shah
then forbade the Imam Hussain consolation gatherings. After he banned clerics from wearing turbans
in 1935 and forced them to wear western style clothing, in 1936, he officially banned hijab and later
on stopped working by the Islamic calendar. He also gave his official orders to stop condolences
rituals in Ashura (10th day of the holy month of Muharram) and banned Friday prayers speeches and
banned religious teachings at schools. For her part, Reza Shahs wife entered the Maisuma mosque in
Qom without wearing the hijab, and when the mosques servant asked her to put on clothes that are
suitable with her entry to the mosque, he was brutally beaten by her bodyguards. Among all things,
Shah Reza was preparing his son Mohammed Reza to assume power after him. So for that reason, his
son studied at the military school in Iran and then continued his education in Austria. After he
returned, he started to deal with politics under the supervision of his father who was always supporting
him.
As reassurance and as a way to further hold on to his throne with a tighter grip, he wanted to reinforce
his kingdom through the marriage relationships with other kingdoms,

That at any rate is the theory of our Constitution. It is an experiment, as all life is an experiment.
Every year if not every day we have to wager our salvation upon some prophecy based upon imperfect
knowledge. While that experiment is part of our system I think that we should be eternally vigilant
against attempts to check the expression of opinions that we loathe and believe to be fraught with
death, unless they so imminently threaten immediate interference with the lawful and pressing
purposes of the law that an immediate check is required to save the country.
Even though attractive, the idea is highly optimistic because of the fact that there is no concrete
evidence to proved that good, rational just arguments always beat and win over unjust and bad
arguments. Psychological research proves that people are very prompt in accepting the opinion that

Analysis of On the Waterfront Essay
On the Waterfront is a classic, award winning and controversial film. It received eight academy
awards in 1954, including best picture and director. The director, Eliza Kazan, in collaboration with
Budd Schulberg wrote the film s screenplay. Based on actual dockside events in Hoboken, New
Jersey, On the Waterfront is a story of a dock worker who tried to overthrow a corrupt union. Marlon
Brando superbly portrays the character of Terry Malloy. He is a young ex prize fighter, now a dock
worker given easy jobs because his brother is the right hand man of the corrupt union boss Johnny
Friendly. After Terry unwittingly allows himself to be used in setting up a man s death, he starts to
question the basic assumptions if his life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since Kazan believed that communism was an evil threat to the American way of life, he tried to
portray his decision to testify as a heroic act of valor. He wanted to show the public that a person who
testifies is brave, not a coward. Throughout the film there are a number of references to the code of
silence, D n D , or Deaf and Dumb. This means that no matter how wretched the circumstances are, a
person never rats. The union thugs make a joke about the boy pushed off a building because he
threatened to talk to the crime commission, thus breaking the sacred code of D n D: A canary. Maybe
he could sing but he couldn t fly.
Kazan has one character, in particular, stress the importance of speaking out in life. Father Barry
believes that the truth will always set a person free. He says; There s one thing we ve got in this
country and that s ways of fightin back. Gettin facts to the public. Testifying for what you know is
right and what you know is wrong. What s rattin to them is telling the truth for you. Can t you see
that? Can t you see that?
This quotation is an example of Kazan crying out to the public for forgiveness. Later in the film,
Kazan tries even harder to gain acceptance, as there is an obvious parallel between his own testimony
and Terry Malloy s.
In the courtroom scene, Terry Malloy turns stoolie and betrays Friendly throughout his

Greed In John Steinbeck s The Pearl
Throughout his life, Kino has been searching for pearls to make him rich without success until one
fateful day when the poor pearl diver finds a perfect pearl in John Steinbeck s The Pearl. However, the
pearl he has found glows with a kind of evil that will tear the village apart from its greed. This story
shows that greed can make any man evil, and can tear people apart from the ones they love.
In the beginning of the story, Coyotito, the baby, gets stung by a scorpion. When taken to the doctor,
the doctor refuses to heal him, saying, Have I nothing better to do than cure insect bites for little
indians ? I am a doctor, not a veterinary. (11). Later in the book however, when Kino finds the pearl,
the doctor was very quick to help the baby, showing immediate interest when saying, You have a
pearl?, a good pearl? (35). Kino goes on to say that he will pay the doctor for healing the baby once
the pearl is sold. This shows that the doctor is overcome by greed, and, once reluctant to heal
Coyotito, is now very willing to heal him because of the promise of money from the pearl. ... Show

Juano suggests that they should throw the pearl back into the water because of the terrible things that
it has done to their family. By this point, Kino has also been engulfed by greed, and disagrees with her,
wanting to keep the pearl so his family can be rich and so he can afford a good education for his son.
In the night while Kino is sleeping, Juana takes the pearl outside to throw back into the ocean. Kino
wakes up and when he finds out, he is flooded with anger. In the book, it is described that, He leaped
at her and caught her arm and wrenched the pearl from her. He struck her in the face with his clenched
fist and she fell among the boulders, and he kicked her in her side (59). This shows that greed for the
pearl made him hurt his own

Adolph Coors year of 1985 was a great one. All the sales were record high while everyone else s was
dropping. The significance of this was astounding since the beer industry was down all together.
People didn t drink a lot of beer but, Coors beer jumped by 13% during that time. This shows how
Coors can adapt with the industry and even though the industry may change Coors can still keep the
competitiveness up with other vendors. If Coors continues the way they are and stay on top of the
industry, they will be able to stay competitive and be the best brewing company in the United States.
There are many different types of beers such as light, premium, or super premium. Coors has been
able to impact all those different types and be competitive. They are able to satisfy all the type of beer
drinkers, and by doing this they are able to receive more of a profit by being able to satisfy all the beer
drinkers. By having distributors in the U.S. and Canada, Coors is able to hit many different markets
than other beer companies. This gets their name out to other countries and people will chose their

that all of their beer is from the clear Rocky Mountain spring water. Coors should focus on cutting and

Black Diggers Dramatic Meaning
The Queensland Theatre Company s Black Diggers dramatic meaning is to highlight the racial
prejudice that Indigenous soldiers faced in the time period surrounding World War II and call to
attention the lack of remembrance and appreciation for Indigenous soldiers actions. The dramatic
meaning is effectively portrayed to the audience through the manipulation of the elements of drama,
the components of collage drama and acting skills.
The dramatic meaning of Black Diggers is communicated to the audience through the effective use of
the dramatic element symbol. This is seen when a small list is compiled of Indigenous soldiers,
reminiscent to the one at the Australian War memorial. This portrays the dramatic meaning, as this is
the only form of remembrance for the Indigenous soldiers. Secondly, symbol is utilised used through a
flame that is lit through the whole performance. This flame represents that the discrimination ... Show

These components include juxtaposition and direct address to the audience. Juxtaposition is seen when
The Last Post overshadows a didgeridoo, when the Indigenous serviceman returned from war. This
enhances the dramatic meaning as it is conveying that the wider white community overlooked the
actions of Indigenous soldiers. Also, the Last Post is still played today and thus communicates that
there is still prejudice now. Secondly, use of direct address to the audience developed the viewer s
understanding of the dramatic meaning. This is evident as a past soldier is describing the effects of
war and his journey through World War I, and speaking as if the audience were at the event. This
grasped the audience on a personal level and made the address more meaningful. It is through the use
of components of collage drama; juxtaposition and direct audience address that the dramatic meaning
is effectively portrayed to the

Bush, as well as our society, feels the president should be strong especially in international politics
and policies. When the United States was attacked September 11, 2001, the people looked to the
president to lead, and in essence, seek revenge. On both of these levels of domestic considerations, we
will never know to exactly what extent they influence the president s choice of action, but they help us
in understanding some of the foreign policy decisions. Going beyond the individual to the
expectations of the position, the role consideration plays an influential domestic part in the response to
an external event and ultimately foreign policymaking. Furthermore to do this, Bush s administration
has outlined some specific objectives. Allies are crucial to conduct foreign operations, so the Bush has
joined several international organizations that allow it to serve at the forefront of international policy.
Some of the more famous ones are the United Nations, which is the biggest organization and has
many sub level organizations, the World Trade Organization, the World Health Organization, the
International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank Group (Directory of Economic, Commodity and

Life Choices in Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken and...
Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken and Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening both portray
weighing of choices in life. The former is about youth and experiencing life and the latter is about old
age, or more probably, an old spirit wearied by life. In both poems the speaker is in a critical situation
where he has to choose between two paths in life. In The Road Not taken the speaker chooses the
unconventional approach to the decision making process, thus showing his uniqueness and
challenging mentality while in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening the speaker seeks a life
without any pain and struggle but at the end, he has to comply with social obligation, which reflects
his responsibility towards the society.
In the poem, The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By choosing the harder path, the speaker declares his rebellion against the popular opinion as
represented by the other road. He decides not to conform to society and takes up a less popular choice.
When considering his choices the speaker shows the typical human reaction. He considers taking both
paths at first. He says, Oh I kept the first for another day , but later confesses he doubted if [he] should
ever come back (13 15). Thus the poem s significance lies in the speakers making a decision by
choosing a road and moving on with his life. The act of choosing the road represents his uniqueness
and the fact that he is always moving forward, even without stopping. Like The Road Not Taken , in
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening , the speaker has to make a big decision in his life. He has to
choose between isolation and social obligation. At first glance, this poem might denote stopping in the
woods to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Different symbols in this poem though reveal that
stop in the poem could be referring to death. In this phrase Between the woods and frozen lake , the
wood becomes a symbol of life where frozen lake signifies death. When the speaker reaches the
woods, he finds a world offering perfect, quiet and solitude, existing side by side with the realization
that there is also another world, a world of people and social obligation. Both

The Normal Cellular Location Of The Crusoe1
Assignment Michael Layland C1476301 I1417
Q1: What does the comparison of the supernatant fraction between the experimental and control
samples prove, regarding the normal cellular location of the CRUSOE1? [2 marks]
A1: Triton X 100 is a detergent in laboratory practice and is used to permeabalize unfixed eukaryotic
cell membranes and aids in solubilizing membranous proteins. The addition of the substance Triton X
100 would cause the majority of the cell membranes to become permeable thus allowing contents of
the eukaryotic cell to leave via simple diffusion hence the large concentration of radioactive
prominence to be situated in the supernatant fraction. Again, the detergent property of Triton X 100 is
further reinforced by the fact that it causes the majority of all radioactive sulphur to be situated in the
supernatant. Without the addition of Triton X 100 the graph displays the greatest quantity of
radioactive sulphur to be situated in fraction 3 of which a majority of small organelles are situated
ranging from a diameter 0.2 to 1.5 μm. It is due to this fact that one can assume the normal cellular
location of the CRUSOE1 protein to be situated in normal cellular location in organelles of the
previously stated diameter and not it the cytoplasmic structure as the addition of Triton X 100 would
assume.
Q2: Professor Holton s team speculate that CRUSOE1 is located predominantly in the Lysosomes of
the cell. Is this a reasonable assumption to make, and why? [4

  • 2. Fourth Grade Justification Report Angel Villavicencio and I Luis. Alvarenga will be heading to Landers Elementary school to present the fourth grade class taught by Ms. McCall information about Earth and its ecosystem. As we go into each presentation, we will question the students to see how they are gathering and receiving the information. We will be going to the class for four days spending fifteen minutes each day. We will use the materials provided in the room such as the whiteboard to get our information through to the students. Our parents will provide us transportation to and from the school. In doing this my partner and I hope to spark something in this generation of children and inspire them to protect the Earth. We will show an example of the expectations of high school and work that will need to be done. The children of this generation will be our future, so we need to teach them while they are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Any data we gather will probably be in the form of simple small classroom activities. Some activities will be class questions, visual presentations, and songs. We will have a small fun worksheet at the end of each day to measure the effort each child puts into their work. On the fourth day a fun mini project will be done by the entire class to benefit the environment and school campus. The small assignments we provide will be fun work for the fourth graders and we hope they have fun. We have the permission to go to that school from the teacher. Our health will not only benefit us by our grade, but also learn how the kids think about the ecosystem. Problems we might face during the project will be the kids being loud and not listening to us. I really hope they don t because then doing this project will be an issue. We really want to know what the kid s opinion is going to be either they care or not about our ecosystem and planet ... • 3. History Of Sam Phillips Sam Phillips founded Memphis Recording Services in the early 1950s to record any and every artist interested in performing at his studio, he had no particular limits on who the artists were expected to be or what they were supposed to be singing as long as they made him money. The early years would be spent primarily recording blues artists such as B. B. King, Rufus Thomas, Rosco Gordon, Joe Hill Louis, and Howlin Wolf. Sam Phillips vision was to bring artists as well as genres together and work alongside them with the objective to create an entirely new style of music. The studio s name was later changed to Sun Studios, a name that would end up leaving a legacy that introduced the world to some of the founding fathers and mothers of rock and roll. Of the countless artists recorded ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His philosophy was similar to that of Sam Phillips in that he was willing to accept artists from anywhere on his way to the top, if he could profit from an artist, a deal could be made. He differed from Sun Studios with his approach to as well as appreciation for artists though as he was careless and burned relationships with supremely talented artists. He grew up in the Bronx playing guitar and piano and composed music while still in his teenage years, all of which proved to be important tools in his producing studio. He reportedly had the extraordinary ability to organize music with artists to perfection in addition to a recording technique that some referred to as the Wall of Sound. Basically, the wall of sound was a unique style resembling a raucous roar which was created by many instruments being played as loudly as possible, mixed with an echoing effect. Phil Spector s success is evidenced by the many top hits he orchestrated though his studio by artists such as the Crystals, Ronettes, Righteous Brothers, and Ike and Tina ... • 4. Anderson s Auteur Theory The first premise of auteur theory, which acts as a criterion of value to identify directorial talent, is technical competence in all aspects of mise en scène (Sarris, 1962, pp 562). Although Sarris does not specify what constitutes good filmmaking, technical competence implies a director s efficiency to manage the production stages (Morley Silver, 1977) with an ...elementary flair of the medium and a technical mastery... of ...sets, costumes, cinematography, editing, music and so forth (Chaudhuri, 2013, pp 23). By expertly manipulating these technical aspects, Anderson creates a balanced, stylised reality in many of his films known as formalistic classicism. Moonrise Kingdom (Moonrise) is a prime example of Anderson s impeccable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In keeping with auteur theory, Anderson s oeuvre s stylistic choices and thematic elements are a self reflection of personal experiences such as his childhood. Familial dysfunction, in particular, has a prominent thematic consistency across Anderson s work due to the director experiencing ...the single most traumatic event in his childhood...the divorce of his parents (Dilley, 2017, pp 17). This is strongly evident in Moonrise, which sees such childhood experiences transcribed directly into the characters, narrative and mise en scène. In Moonrise the protagonists Khaki Scout Sam Shakusky and love interest Suzy Bishop are children from dysfunctional families just like Anderson. Audiences blatantly see this theme included within the narrative when Sam s foster parents reject ownership of him over the phone, and also (as well as in the mise en scène) when an upset Suzy is in a bathtub reading a book titled Coping with the Very Troubled Child (as she says I hate you to her unfaithful mother). This prop, Suzy s book, is a direct reference to when an eight year old Anderson stumbled upon a pamphlet at home titled Coping with the Very Troubled Child (Mottram, 2012). Anderson portrays his past feeling of upset through Suzy s character and the bathroom s gloomy colour palette which is a grungy yellowy green. Despite the negative connotations associated ... • 5. Amy Efaw The book After, written by Amy Efaw, is an addictive, action packed book. The fiction story is about a girl named Devon Sky Davenport who was pregnant, but in denial. She wakes up one morning, sick, and stays home from school that day. That night, she gives birth at home by herself, and throws the baby in the trash after putting it in a garbage bag. Devon goes to jail where she makes friends and has to cooperate with her lawyer. Devon can t remember anything from the night when she gave birth but as things start clicking into place, Devon realizes what she has done, and starts having suicidal thoughts. Devon must tell her lawyer the details, although it is hard, so she can be tried in a juvenile court and only get 5 years, but if she doesn t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author uses a great deal of detail when describing characters. For example, the author wrote, Yellow...yellow. The color of Devon s mom s hair. The color of a sun breaking through the flat gray clouds. Of a lemon drop. Devon allows her eyes to droop closed for a moment. I can distinctly imagine the appearance of the characters because the author uses the detail that he does. The plot of this book moves quickly because she starts to remember things from That Night from flashbacks that happen often. The text reads, She steps slightly closer to him, lets her shoulder brush his arm as they walk hand in hand. Lets her hip bump into his. Once. Then. Twice.... The author uses plenty of imagery when describing places and people. For example, the author wrote, Devon s eyes skim over the room s three rectangular tables and finds that vacant seat indicated. It s beside the pale girl with the breads. The girl scoots her chair back to make room for Devon, presenting the seat with an open hand, her crooked smile creeping back over her face. The author s tone in this book is stressful, and outraged. An example from the story includes, No! Get out of here! Devon s mom lunges at the man, grabbing his shoulders from behind, her long nails digging into his jacket. Get the hell out of here! Are you hearing me? The other man, the one in the uniform, appears suddenly, pulling Devon s mom off of the first man. The theme of this story is displacement. Devon is a girl who gets good grades, is involved in sports, and gets her work done on time. She is not someone you would expect to be in jail, and she is so much different from her peers in jail. I can apply this lesson in my life because if I am ever in a place where I feel uncomfortable and out of place, I know that it will end soon. This lesson will make a change in my future ... • 6. The Risks Of The Wholesale And The Smes.credit Risk In the recent past, there have been concerns in the companies and businesses such that they have to show their credit worthiness before they are given a loan. The UK has been fluctuating due to global inflation rates and therefore this has caused uncertainty of the business. This has made the lending institutions to be strict in evaluating the credit risks of the wholesale and the SMEs.Credit risk will measure the probability of a business getting a loss due to a business failure of settling loans. This convectional credit risks results from the the possibilities of defaulting of the debts, an investment or invoice. The defaulting of the loans is the major cause of the wholesale credit risk. Individuals or businesses will always default because of lack of collateral or guarantors to settle the debts. There are various methods that the banks will use to mitigate the wholesale credit risk. The bank is required to carry out operational and risks management processes to ensure that all the documents that have been used to guarantee a particular transaction is legal, binding and valid. There is therefore the need for the bank to carry out sufficient legal appraisal before a conclusion is made by the bank so as to recognize the credit risks. The CRM techniques will reduce the wholesale credit risks significantly. Although this technique reduces credit risk, it consecutively increases other risks such as market, liquidity and operational risks. It is imperative that the bank ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From a young age she watches Sissy manipulate men using her good looks and her mom survive through the struggle of having two kids and husband who did not support. And Evy continue her life when her husband deemed himself a failure and ran away. Francie had the gift of distinguishing the difference when someone was speaking out of ignorance or was purposely rude. Her teacher was ignorant about the reality of the world and the meaning of Francie s stories but the women who called Johanna names and threw rocks at her knew exactly what they were saying and did not regret it. Furthermore the men in Francie s life do not pit at each other, characters like Johnny, Uncle Whitman, Steve, Sergeant McShane, Mr. Mcgarrity, while most of them were not strong or perfect characters, and while They might hate each other they stuck together against the world and any woman who would ensnare of them (238) Francie s observations and personal experiences made such a strong impression for herself and an even stronger one on the reader. She develops into a more intelligent girl and she grows to realize that she shouldn t be influenced by society as she upset at herself for being embarrassed to smile back when Johanna smiled at her. She grows to understand she must make her own judgments and not listen to others blindly and she promises herself. • 9. Third Grade Health Literacy Classroom I created a lesson plan for my third grade health literacy class. This lesson plan is targeted for third grade students in the general education classroom. In my classroom I have an abundance of diversity with different types of learners. Descriptive Essay About Goldfinger Concert Crowd surfing at a Goldfinger Concert was the best feeling i ve ever experienced, but getting a cigarette put out on your back isn t the best feeling in the world. I went to a Sublime with Rome, The offspring, The Urge, Reel Big Fish, and Goldfinger concert this september for my birthday with my friends harrison, travis, kam, harrison, and brogan. While we were listening to Goldfinger perform, we tried to get into the moshpit that was going on at the front of the concert. First, we got our blankets and pillows ready on the lawn of the main stage and got some snacks from the snack bar, Which was very, very expensive. A red bull was $5 and a 20oz bottle of water was about $7. Not the best prices difference between water and a red bull. We got back to the main venue and the urge just started performing. I didn t really know any songs by them so i just sat there and ate my food that i got from the snack bar and my backpack that i filled with snacks. The urge ended and we went to the other venue where people were all migrating to to see the Beastie Boys cover band perform. The bass of the songs that they were playing were literally making my ears move into my brain. They played a couple more songs and left the venue. After that we went back to the snack bar and got more water and a little more snacks for the meantime while the other bands were getting ready to perform. We just got to the Goldfinger performance and tried to get to the front of the concert by pushing and shoving people out of the way. It was pretty much impossible to get to the front of the venue because every time we got closer there were more people bunched up together trying to get closer. Eventually some guy in a wheelchair came through and we followed the guys behind him but he suddenly got stopped in the middle of the crowd. Then, we asked these two big guys with muscles the side of yachts. Harrison went up first and started heading to the front surfing in the crowd. People weren t paying much attention behind them because they were focused on the concert, so harrison eventually got dropped onto the floor, but the guy next to him lifted him up again and he made it to the front of the concert still crowd surfing. • 12. Ancient Roman Entertainment Essay Citizens in ancient Rome held their entertainment close. Entertainment was free, and appealed to all social classes, from slaves to the emperor. Two forms of entertainment are chariot racing and gladiator fights. These were two of the more popular forms of entertainment available to the average Roman citizens. The first form of entertainment I am going to talk about is chariot racing. Chariot racing was the most popular form of entertainment. It appealed to all social classes, from the lowly slaves to the senators and the emperor. Juvenal s famous saying panem et circenses has become a sign of entertainment appeasing people throughout the ages. Although there was no public betting one the races, there was a large amount of private betting that went on and the chance of earning money probably attracted even more popularity to the races. The races were so popular that many household items were decorated with symbols from the racing. The racers were divided into four different teams, called factions (factiones). These were coloured and their names came from the colours themselves: the Greens, the Reds, the Blues and the Whites. The green and blue factions were the most powerful, and later on in the empire, they absorbed the other two into their ranks. The factions were not just racing teams, they also had political influence. Most Roman citizens became racing fanatics, supporting one of the factions. Some citizens even resorted to magic to foul their opponents, showed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The story is being told by a man who is watching this footage over and over again. He is clearly in awe and shock of what he is witnessing in the video. He is a well known and beloved author who is adored by many, he has also won the Pulitzer Prize twice. The story is being told by a man who is watching the tape over and over again. He is narrating the story in first person and explaining the events that have transpired already. This gentleman cannot believe what he is watching because he is in shock of how it happened. There is no particular setting for this place but if there has to be one, it would be on the road or highway to be more exact. The events of the murder already took place because the man is looking back at it on the video. The present day would be wherever the man is currently at. In this story, there are basically only three main characters. The girl who is videotaping is the main one of the story and the one that we the audience follow. The second main character would be the older man who got killed in the video. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Effects Of Federal Mandates On Virginia The Effects of Federal Mandates on Virginia: Americans with Disabilities Act And the No Child Left Behind Act Because of the Supremacy Clause, when the National government makes a new law or mandate, states and local governments must comply Federal mandates are requirements that the national government imposes on state and local governments. Following these requirements are often a condition for the state or local governments to receive grants and financial support for various programs. Many of these mandates come with money attached, but some do not. Requirements imposed on State and local governments without the Federal government providing funds are called unfunded mandates (Losco, Baker 53.) Virginia is affected by many Federal Mandates. Two prevalent mandates the state of Virginia must comply with is the Americans with Disabilities Act and the No Child Left Behind Act. Virginia has complied with these mandates by creating a system to determine if a person has a disability, providing accommodations to those with disabilities, and Virginia has reformed its public education system. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was put into place in 1990 to ensure that people could not discriminate against those with disabilities. • 32. Black Diggers Dramatic Meaning The Queensland Theatre Company s Black Diggers dramatic meaning is to highlight the racial prejudice that Indigenous soldiers faced in the time period surrounding World War II and call to attention the lack of remembrance and appreciation for Indigenous soldiers actions. The dramatic meaning is effectively portrayed to the audience through the manipulation of the elements of drama, the components of collage drama and acting skills. The dramatic meaning of Black Diggers is communicated to the audience through the effective use of the dramatic element symbol. This is seen when a small list is compiled of Indigenous soldiers, reminiscent to the one at the Australian War memorial. This portrays the dramatic meaning, as this is the only form of remembrance for the Indigenous soldiers. Secondly, symbol is utilised used through a flame that is lit through the whole performance. This flame represents that the discrimination ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These components include juxtaposition and direct address to the audience. Juxtaposition is seen when The Last Post overshadows a didgeridoo, when the Indigenous serviceman returned from war. This enhances the dramatic meaning as it is conveying that the wider white community overlooked the actions of Indigenous soldiers. Also, the Last Post is still played today and thus communicates that there is still prejudice now. Secondly, use of direct address to the audience developed the viewer s understanding of the dramatic meaning. This is evident as a past soldier is describing the effects of war and his journey through World War I, and speaking as if the audience were at the event. This grasped the audience on a personal level and made the address more meaningful. It is through the use of components of collage drama; juxtaposition and direct audience address that the dramatic meaning is effectively portrayed to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When the United States was attacked September 11, 2001, the people looked to the president to lead, and in essence, seek revenge. On both of these levels of domestic considerations, we will never know to exactly what extent they influence the president s choice of action, but they help us in understanding some of the foreign policy decisions. Going beyond the individual to the expectations of the position, the role consideration plays an influential domestic part in the response to an external event and ultimately foreign policymaking. Furthermore to do this, Bush s administration has outlined some specific objectives. • 34. Life Choices in Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken and... Robert Frost s The Road Not Taken and Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening both portray weighing of choices in life. The former is about youth and experiencing life and the latter is about old age, or more probably, an old spirit wearied by life. In both poems the speaker is in a critical situation where he has to choose between two paths in life. In The Road Not taken the speaker chooses the unconventional approach to the decision making process, thus showing his uniqueness and challenging mentality while in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening the speaker seeks a life without any pain and struggle but at the end, he has to comply with social obligation, which reflects his responsibility towards the society. In the poem, The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By choosing the harder path, the speaker declares his rebellion against the popular opinion as represented by the other road. He decides not to conform to society and takes up a less popular choice. When considering his choices the speaker shows the typical human reaction. He considers taking both paths at first. He says, Oh I kept the first for another day , but later confesses he doubted if [he] should ever come back (13 15). Thus the poem s significance lies in the speakers making a decision by choosing a road and moving on with his life. The act of choosing the road represents his uniqueness and the fact that he is always moving forward, even without stopping. Like The Road Not Taken , in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening , the speaker has to make a big decision in his life. He has to choose between isolation and social obligation. At first glance, this poem might denote stopping in the woods to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Different symbols in this poem though reveal that stop in the poem could be referring to death. In this phrase Between the woods and frozen lake , the wood becomes a symbol of life where frozen lake signifies death. When the speaker reaches the woods, he finds a world offering perfect, quiet and solitude, existing side by side with the realization that there is also another world, a world of people and social obligation. • 35. The Normal Cellular Location Of The Crusoe1 Assignment Michael Layland C1476301 I1417 Q1: What does the comparison of the supernatant fraction between the experimental and control samples prove, regarding the normal cellular location of the CRUSOE1? [2 marks] A1: Triton X 100 is a detergent in laboratory practice and is used to permeabalize unfixed eukaryotic cell membranes and aids in solubilizing membranous proteins. The addition of the substance Triton X 100 would cause the majority of the cell membranes to become permeable thus allowing contents of the eukaryotic cell to leave via simple diffusion hence the large concentration of radioactive prominence to be situated in the supernatant fraction. Again, the detergent property of Triton X 100 is further reinforced by the fact that it causes the majority of all radioactive sulphur to be situated in the supernatant. Without the addition of Triton X 100 the graph displays the greatest quantity of radioactive sulphur to be situated in fraction 3 of which a majority of small organelles are situated ranging from a diameter 0.2 to 1.5 μm. It is due to this fact that one can assume the normal cellular location of the CRUSOE1 protein to be situated in normal cellular location in organelles of the previously stated diameter and not it the cytoplasmic structure as the addition of Triton X 100 would assume. Q2: Professor Holton s team speculate that CRUSOE1 is located predominantly in the Lysosomes of the cell. Is this a reasonable assumption to make, and why? [4 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
