3. What is it used For
 With SPSS we can analyse data in three basic
ways.
 Describe data by using descriptive statistics,
for example,
Frequency, Mean , Minimum and Maximum.
 Examine the relationship between/among
variables, for example:
Correlation, Regression , Factor analysis etc.
Compare groups to determine, if there are
significant difference
between these groups for example: t-test,
AOVA etc.

 Go to start
 Click on program
 Click on IBM statistics
 Click on IBM Statistics 23
 All program IBM SPSS

5. Starting SPSS
After logging, the user will be
presented
With a screen containing a
number of two icons/tabs,
named Data view and Variable
view.
