Research
• The existing product research helped my product as I had chance to look
to products that are similar to mine, and this gave me ideas about what to
include in my product.
• All the existing products I researched were all very similar. To get more of a
range of ideas I could of researched more different products.
Planning
• In my planning I created a production experiment which was a game about
a ghost. This helped my product as it gave me some experience of creating
an 8 bit game before I started the real thing.
• But a weakness of this is that the experiment was a game about a ghost
and my final product is completely different to the experiment. Also In the
experiment I didn’t animate my game.
Time Management
• I think I did manage my time well. With additional time I could of added
more extra detail to the background of my final production. I could of also
added extra text and also a main menu for the game.
Target Audience Appeal
• I have made my game aimed at people who are aged 8 years and above. I
have made my game very simple and easy to understand so all ages are
able to play it and not find it too difficult.
Technical Qualities
Both games have
more than one
player at a time
which are on
different teams.
A difference is that at
the existing product
has a bar at the bottom
where you can see a
mini map of the
football pitch, and also
has a timer and a
pause option.
On my game you can see
the whole of the football
pitch when playing it,
but on the existing game
you can only see
sections of the pitch.
Aesthetic Qualities
I think the shading of the
characters look good, so
you know they're all
different characters.
A weakness is that
the characters
don’t move their
body parts when
they are animated.
I also like how I put
the score at the top
of the game to
show the players
which team is
winning.
Audience Appeal
I have made the game
colourful so it stands
out to the audience.
The game looks good
as I have added
different colour t-shirts
to different players so
the audience know
which team is which.
I have also made
sure the game is
simple so all ages
can play the game,
so it’s the red team
vs the blue team.

Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how both teams are in different colours so they are
easy to tell apart.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– More detail could have been added to the football pitch,
like corner flags or the crowd.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how at the top of the screen it says the score of the
game so the player knows what team is winning.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– A timer or a score limit could have been added so you
know when the game ends.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how in the animation you get to see both teams
getting involved.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The animation could have been longer, so you get to see a
goal from both teams.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that the score at the top helps a lot.
– I agree that I have shown both teams getting involved in the game.
– I have also shown both teams in different colours so you know which is which.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I think I did the right amount of animation, if I did more I would have been
spending too much time on the animation and not enough time on the other
things.
Peer Feedback Summary
I would add other bits of detail as it would make the game look more
appealing. I would add corner flags, referees and the crowd. I also think a
timer and a score limit would have been a good idea, as it shows when
the game has ended and also shows who has won and who has lost.
