Mood Board
Mood Board Analysis
The photos I have collected happen to all be from the US. They mainly come from
either the NBA or the college league, the NCAA as shown by the logos in the
centre although there is a photo from high school basketball, that is also big in the
‘States. Most photos are of superstar-level players, like LeBron or Kyrie Irving, but
some feature players like Zion Williamson and Mac Mcclung who went viral for
their high school mixtapes of their über-athletic dunks and defensive plays as well
as players with high potential, like Cam Reddish. I also added a few pictures of
celebrations and team work so that I’m reminded to stay motivated and work
hard to achieve the best final product possible. Most pictures heavily include blue,
either from jerseys or the backgrounds and even the logos heavily include blue.
Most are images taken during games, so those would make sense to something in
that style for the double page spread. All of these pictures, aside from the logos,
do not include text, so there aren’t many fonts I would have to replicate or avoid
for copyright reasons. All images, besides the ball and the logos, feel serious but
also fun, particularly in the photo of Russell Westbrook throwing down a hefty
backscratcher dunk in the All Star game.
This mood board will remind me of what photos to use, mainly for the double
page spread article, but also keep me on task and motivated, as I mentioned
before, to keep working hard to get the best grade I possibly can.
