3. Research
The research I conducted allowed me to take inspiration from other existing
titles like Sonic and Mario. I used the still and colourful background in my
product as well as collectables and obstacles throughout the level. I made
sure to use a mix of dark and bright colours and have an interesting and
unique characters.
It also weakened me because I believe I have made just a reskin of an already
existing game without changing much to make it unique bar changing the
look and style of things.
4. Planning
The planning helped me prepare myself for how I would lay out and create my
final product. It helped me visualize in my head how my final product would
look at the end. It also helped me come up with what sort of game I would
create.
I’d have liked to have planned more on the theme of the game and tried to
come up with something other than a racing game or a jumpy obstacle game.
5. Time Management
I spent a portion of my time off but nevertheless believe that I have done the
best I could given the circumstances. However I had to crunch the last day
due to not being in on Thursdays and not having the available software and
whatnot. With additional time I'd have preferred to have added audio to it,
such as a spring when my character jumped or a splat noise when he died or
landed normally.
If I had more time I would've added more level that would scroll across the
screen gradually.
6. Technical Qualities
The techincal qualities of
my project include the use
of premiere pro to add
audio cues and music
throughout.
Its qualities also include
smooth animation and
flow of the figure
7. Aesthetic Qualities
The detail in the
background and
foreground stood out and
add depth to the scene.
The added detail of the
character deflating after
bouncing adds character to
the animation
The characters facial
expressions and extra
detail upon death and
when landing over the
cactus add extra detail
and expression

12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
It has a unique theme
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
Add a timer and a bullet collected counter in the
corner
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? A timer and a collecter counter
would've been nice
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? Nothing
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would've made more levels to climb to and
from, such as going into the clouds or climbing
over a hill and whatnot just so the game doesn’t
feel too linear. I also would've included different
types of obstacles other than desert animals and
cacti, something such as lawmen or bounty
hunters would've fit in well and added to the
game.
