We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
3. Research
• I found the research power point really helpful as it aloud me to find out if
there is anything like my idea, witch the was but in a different style to my idea.
For example the TV show catfish witch finds out people who have been taking
someone’s identity and talking to other people pretending to be some else. By
researching this it aloud me to find out more about my idea and the different
layouts and styles of filming/editing they have in there shows/films witch also
aloud me to use these different styles in my work. The next thing I did to
gather more research was make a questionnaire to find out what people in my
audience are interested in, I found that most of my results said that most
people like comedy and action but they also like horror witch is good because
I’m doing a internet horror. The rest of the questions allowed me to give me an
idea of what to include in my project. I felt like my strength in the research
section was making the questionnaire because I used open questions as well
as closed questions which meant I could get average answers and more
detailed answers. The average questions I asked were like are you male or
female and the more detailed questions I asked were like ‘what privacy scares
you about the internet’ witch allowed me to get more information out of my
audience.
4. Planning
• To plan my final product I looked at fonts and colour schemes that would
match the horror film genre I wanted to do. I gathered the images and put
them on a mood board to give my ideas a picture to go with them as it
helped me to plan out the locations I wanted to shoot at. I also did a
layout plan for the film I made, this involved where the title would go in
the title sequence which made it easier for when I made the real thing. I
planned everything I was going to do like the location scouting and the
days I would be filming I did this to work with the time period I had but I
didn’t stick to my plan as the day I did the location scouting I also filmed
the shoots I wanted at those shots to save time and it meant I didn’t have
to come back to that location to get the shots. I found that my strengths in
planning was collecting images to help plan out the layout and location of
my film. I found that my weakness was considering the safety hazards and
the potential Issues.
5. Time Management
• I felt like I have managed my time well and I successfully
finished my production work early witch aloud me to go back
and improve some of my past work and add to the rest of my
power point to add more detail. Because I finished early and
moved on to completing and adding things to old work it
means I didn't spend as much time on my final project as I
could have added more colour correction to make it more
astatically pleasing to the eye. I used my schedule to the most
part but I linked all the filming and location scouting in to the
two days I had to film. It worked to help me get the work
done. I also used the schedule that was on blackboard to
make sure I was reaching the dead line to get my pieces of
work in on time.
6. Technical QualitiesCatfish is about someone

identity and trying to date
other people while nev

who it is catfishing them.
Mine is about getting watched
and followed by someone
who has stalked you through
the internet and in person and
they know everything you are
going to do before you even
do it.
They both are about
people getting stalked
and finding the person
who is stalking you.
Both got the sense of
looking for something.
A hard-working lawyer, attached
to his cell phone, can't find the
time to communicate with his
family. A widowed ex-cop
struggles to raise a mischievous
son who cyber-bullies a
classmate. They are strangers,
neighbors and colleagues and
their stories collide in this
riveting dramatic thriller about
ordinary people struggling to
connect in today's wired world.
Both of these are about getting
stalked and followed by
someone from the internet.
Disconnected - A couple is drawn
into a dangerous situation when
their secrets are exposed online.
Is anyone safe? - The people who
are watching know everything
about you and know exactly
where your going to be and
when
7. Aesthetic Qualities
• I think that my final product is really creative and
unique. I stuck to the idea I had discussed in my
planning. If I was to improve my final piece I would
have filmed it with a ND filter on the camera to help
the colours pop and then add more colour correction
as well. Another thing I would have done is get
another actor in to be the person who is watching
them main actor to show that someone is watching.
The thing I like best about my final piece is on the
beat of the music I added an effect to make it look
like the camera glitches out and it changes colour.
Another thing I like on the beat I cut a frame out of a
clip to make it seem as if he jumps from part to
another. I think the biggest strength of my film is the
horror aspect of a haunted house witch I had chosen
to do in my planning. I think my weakness is that I
said that it was going to be a internet horror but
there was no aspect of the internet in my film. If I
was to incorporate the internet into my film I would
have a clip of the actor at home on his laptop then
have him receive a message from a unknown person
saying I know you and I know what you are going to
do and id also have a clip of the actor smashing up a
laptop.
8. Audience Appeal
• My target audience that I had discussed in my
proposal were teens of both genders. I think that
the age rating I have chosen is still appropriate for
my film. I also think that the horror aspect still
appeals what I planned. However I also think that
my film would appeal to a larger audience to
what I had planned in my proposal. The age range
of my audience is 16-19 witch I think appeals well
as they will understand that there could be some
one watching and hacking there
computers/devices.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I felt the product was a good change in pace for a
horror movie because of its internet stalker feel.
This gave a new take on an almost dead franchise.
• What improvements could have been made
to the product?
• Background information that could have been
done with captions?...
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The location for the production worked really well and the
story worked well with this. The editing style of the piece
showed promise and the cuts were easy to follow
throughout.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• The lighting was good from the outside and was at the
right ISO however, through the interior scenes more
lighting could have been used because it was quite
dark. This would have been easier for grading. Overall a
good product.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked that the product had the horror effect from
the house but also had the effect of been watch
from the far away shots and the different angles.
• What improvements could have been made
to the product?
• Could have added colour correction to the
clips to make them brighter and not repeat
some on the speech.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? I agree that some of the clips are dark
and could have used some more lighting and I
also agree with that it would have been easier for
grading and I understand that it could have used
some more background story.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I don’t disagree with any of the feed back I have take
it on board and will add it into my next peace.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
The changes I would make to my piece is I would change the
lighting and make some of the darker clips brighter and I
would also add more colour correction to clips to make the
clips more astatically pleasing to the eye and make the clips
brighter and more vibrant. I also would have gone over it
after I finished a couple more times then I did to realize that I
had repeated a clip of speech twice when I could have got
another sentence in it to fill that gap. To alter the colour I
would use the colour correction tool In the effects panel on
premier. What I would change overall is that I would
incorporate the internet more by adding this idea I would
have a clip of the actor at home on his laptop then have him
receive a message from a unknown person saying I know you
and I know what you are going to do and id also have a clip of
the actor smashing up a laptop. Witch I think will also make
the film better.
