 CONCLUSION
 INTRODUCTION
 5G is the 5th generation mobile network. It will take a much larger
role than previous generations. 5G is also known as NGMN.
 5G will elevate the mobile network to not only interconnect people,
but also interconnect and control machines, objects, and devices.
 It will deliver new levels of performance and efficiency that will
empower new user experiences and connect new industries.
 GENERATIONS OF MOBILE NETWORKS
The other mobile network generations are 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G.
1) 1G delivered analog voice.
2) 2G introduced digital voice (e.g., CDMA).
3) 3G brought mobile data (e.g., CDMA2000).
4) 4G LTE used in the era of mobile Internet(VOLTE).
5) 5G Upcoming technology.
 SERVICES PROVIDED BY 5G
 Enhanced Mobile Broadband:
It make our smartphones better, but it will also user in new immersive experiences, with
faster, more uniform data rates, lower latency, and cost-per-bit.
 Massive Internet of Things:
It connect a massive number of embedded sensors in virtually everything through the
ability to scale down in data rates, extremely low-cost solutions.
 HOW FAST IS 5G?
5G is more than about just how “fast” it is. In addition to higher peak data rates, 5G will provide much
more network capacity by expanding into new spectrum, such as millimetre wave (mm Wave).
It lower latency for a quicker immediate response, and an overall more uniform user experience so
that the data rates stay consistently high even when users are moving around.
 KEYS OF 5G TECHNOLOGY
1) Flexible, dynamic, self-contained TDD sub frame design.
2) Advanced, flexible LDPC channel coding.
3) Advanced massive MIMO antenna technologies.
4) Advanced spectrum sharing techniques.
 5G EXPECTING GOALS ARE:
High data rates,
Reduced latency,
Energy savings,
Reduced costs,
Increased system capacity,
Large-scale device connectivity.
 DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 4G AND 5G?
There are several differences between 4G vs 5G:
5G is a unified platform that is more capable than 4G.
5G uses spectrum better than 4G.
5G is faster than 4G.
5G has more capacity than 4G.
 APPLICATIONS
 Automobiles :
It provides for communication between vehicles and infrastructures, leading to increase in
autonomous (self-driving) cars and IOT (Internet of Things)
 Smart Home :
It used to automated home equipped with lighting, heating, or other electronic devices that
can be controlled remotely by smartphone or computer.
 ADVANTAGES
High resolution and bi-directional large bandwidth shaping.
Technology to gather all networks on one platform.
More effective.
Possible to provide uniform, uninterrupted, and consistent connectivity across the world.
 DISADVANTAGES
Technology is still under process and research on its viability is going on.
Many of the old devices would not be competent to 5G.
Developing infrastructure needs high cost.
Security and privacy issue yet to be solved.
 CONCLUSION
5G technology promises to be revolutionary. Larger bandwidth and low latency times will allow the
development of new services and the improvement of existing ones.
These dates are only estimates and certainly some countries will see the availability of 5G networks
and mobile devices before others.
