For an extended period, the industry uses Integrated Marketing Communications to promote their various products and services to the entire world. The introduction of technology in the industry leads to improvements in the sectors. Most individuals without extensive information on the tourism industry can access the data in their comfort zones. It implies that IT and internet technology play a significant role in ensuring effective strategy due to its existence globally.
Most European countries have tried to promote and implement internet technology in ensuring satisfactory delivery of products and services (Kayumovich, 2020). Since it has a custom within the tourism and hotel industry to provide intangible products and services, including but not limited to services alongside comfort, the internet has been an effective method of delivering its messages to the targeted customers. Also, through internet technology, the industry has achieved more customers in the global market, including the European market. The promotion of branding within the European tourism industry has been effective due to the introduction and implementation of internet technology. Thus, the internet is believed to significantly influence the tourism industry in various sectors, including but limited to infrastructure, travel, alongside the marketing sector. Before introducing the internet alongside the IT, travelling of customers was dangerous and unpleasant since travellers had constraint understanding of locations they were visiting.
As a result, the existing vacationers of time had limited knowledge of the cultures and terrain alongside the climate change and patterns necessary to stimulate the travelling issues. Therefore, tourism sectors, including but not limited to tour companies, travel agencies and other like hotels, had developed strategies necessary to promote booking and reservation processes (David-Negre et al. 2018). However, several decades ago, popular sites were visited by tourists. It implies that the tourism sectors within the local or remote area faced challenges of securing sufficient clients as people were could not define the destination. Also, shortage of information on a particular region leads to reduced travelling by visitors. The research involved the utilization of relevant literature review on the subject matter to provide factual information. Therefore, the report offers adequate information on the influence of the internet on the tourism industry. This study aimed to investigate the impact of mobile phone, land phone and internet (ICTs) on sales, market performance, room occupancy, profitability and credit facilities in the hospitality sector of tourism in the tourist city of Livingstone in Zambia. The study used multiple regression models to find out the relationship between dependent and independent variables. The study found that there was positive impact of ICTs usage on sales, marketing performance, room occupancy, profitability and credit facilities. The study found negative relationship between internet and profitability of the firm due to higher costs of internet access. The study suggested that the firms should work together as a pool to reduce internet costs, such as, the use of trivago.co.zm; booking.co.zm; hotels.com; agoda.com; expedia.com; etc.

Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) was formed in the year of 1992. This was the time when a handful of agencies operating tours inside Bangladesh, felt the need of such an association or trade body to overcome immense problems and difficulties being faced by them regularly. Besides this, the other main objective or aim of the organization was to develop and nourish tourism in Bangladesh and to promote the tourism products of Bangladesh in the international arena. After a long wait and completion of different formalities, the association was recognized as a trade organization by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in 2002. Currently, TOAB is having 751 active Members.

1. More and more people book their trip online, companies have to adapt this new
method of booking.
2. Otherwise, the hotel would not achieve their goals regarding numbers of sold services
e.g. rooms or food.
3. Different target groups prefer different ways to book their trip.
4. For consumers nowadays there are numerous different way of booking whereas
before the digitalization there just was one option: the travel agency.
5. Mobile phones enlarge the options, especially when considering the developments
with regard to data roaming in the European Community. For example online travel
guides offer several advantages: simple updates, links to specific information, search
functions, bookmarks or feedback and evaluations of other travelers.
6. While the older generation prefers to book their holiday in a travel agency, the
younger generation is in favor of online booking portals.
7. Based on this fact, more and more hotels are focusing on online promotion. In
contrast to bigger hotels or big hotel chains, small hotels have to expand their online
sales features e.g. direct booking via their official website or invest in online travel
agencies i.e. booking.com. Otherwise, the hotel will be influenced negatively and suffer
from the new evolution called“industry 4.0”.

due to the Fourth
Industrial
Revolution?
▪ The tourism and hospitality industry was one of the first industries to
experience change on a global level (UNWTO).
▪ The tourism industry has successfully kept up with the demand and the
trends by using different forms of technology in assisting them to enhance
and improve travelers' experience.
▪ The airline and hotel booking systems were brought online by the
tourism industry from an early stage and through this, the industry
became one of the key driving forces behind the Fourth Industrial
Revolution (ITHSA).
▪ Mobile phones have also had a tremendous impact on the industry,
especially with regards to the development of data roaming options
available in Europe.
▪ This opens up opportunities for online travel agents to “give updates, links
to specific information, search functions or feedback and general
evaluation for other travelers” to assist and make travelling more
accessible and opens up a broader spectrum of choices (Sabinezs, 2018).
▪ “Airports around the world are introducing biometric technology to identify
travelers and make their trip as frictionless as possible” (ITHSA)
