This document provides details about an audio proposal for an informative podcast called "Talk Time". The podcast would involve interviewing a former police officer about their experiences and procedures during their time in law enforcement. The purpose is to educate listeners by sharing truthful, first-hand accounts from a professional perspective. The target audience is middle-aged males from a policing background, as they can best relate to how the profession used to be compared to present day. Working Title:
I will call my product, Talk Time because it is very open and very clear to the audience what the
podcast will involve. It also shows the audience that the show can be on any subject as it is not
subject specific.
Product’s Purpose:
My products purpose is to educate. I will do this by talking to someone with professional
experience that can talk about correct truthful experiences. I will do this so that the audience are
satisfied with the fact that a professional is giving strong truthful events and that the information is
truthful and not just a random source from the internet.
Genre:
Informative, real life podcast.
Content
My product is about a podcast on an ex police officers’ experiences in the force. I will ask
questions about what daily routines an officer would have to do and if this affected you at first and
if it was difficult. I will also ask questions about different procedures and drills that occurred and if
they were successful or could have been worked on more. I would finish off with asking overall
about his time in the police, what he thought about it in a whole and what he thinks of modern-day
policing and how it works. It does not have a story as the presenter and a guest are just talking
Formally and truthfully about real life.
Audience:
My primary audience is, Middle 45-64 year old males from mainly a policing background in the
Belonger psychographic. Middle class people because people who work in the policing profession
are mainly in this class. 45-64 year olds because they can relate to what the police force used to
be like and can compare to how it is now. My primary gender is male because more males worked
in the profession than females back then therefore more males can relate. I chose the Belonger
psychographic because it links to the middle class and most of my audience together. Belongers
are family and community orientated which can be a key value of a police officer.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
I will not include any offensive material.
I will not restrict younger people using or accessing it.
It will not offend any social groups, religions or ethnicities.
I will ensure that I will not offend anyone by not including any offensive material towards gender,
age or race.
I am not using characters, names, logos of existing products or IPs.
My product will be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement. It will be all my own ideas and production.
