The Hot Zone Movie Analysis
The book The Hot Zone and the movie Contagion are both about pandemics, with one a possible
pandemic and the other global. They are different because of how the media reacts to the prospect of a
pandemic, as well as how they contain or treat the potential outbreak. Both works showed how panic
can impact and contribute to the spread of the virus. The Hot Zone and Contagion both show the
media s reaction to a potential pandemic. In the book, the media knew nothing about the outbreak
other than being mildly aware that something had happened at a monkey house in Reston, Virginia.
USAMRIID (the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases) did
everything in their power to ensure no one ascertained the truth, since they knew it would cause panic.
Scientists used back entrances to the monkey house to avoid being photographed in racal suits. In the
movie, the media knew about contaminated people, however, it was not reported as a outbreak of a
deadly virus. The media did not anticipate the virus s impact and the associated risks. The pandemic
increased, more people died, and the media realized they had underestimated the virus. This resulted
in every major media outlet being filled with news of the virus, increases in updates, ... Show more

In The Hot Zone USAMRIID was able to quarantine and decontaminate the monkey house in Reston
with minimal exposure to the virus. Luckily, the virus transpired to only kill monkeys. It altered in a
way to become airborne, but lost the ability to widespread infection in humans. The virus in
Contagion was anticipated to have a smaller effect and therefore was underestimated until a
substantial number of people were infected. Once it was clear that the outbreak was critical the CDC
tried to contain it. On day eight 267,000 people were estimated to be infected. The CDC finally got a
grip on day 133, when a successful vaccine was

The Steps in the Acquisition Process for a Negotiated Best...
Acquisition is a process that requires teamwork with each individual and/or group working together to
ensure that the customer is provided the greatest overall benefit in response to their requirements (best
value). Acquisition planning should start once the need for supplies or services are identified.
Integrated Product Teams (IPT) should be used when needed to help develop the acquisition strategy.
The use of these teams will reduce false starts and delays resulting from unclear scopes of work. In the
following paragraphs the steps in the acquisition process will be defined and discussed.
The first step in acquisition planning is market research. Market research collects and analyzes

There will be some acquisitions were tradeoffs may not be utilized. In such situations where the
Government would not realize any value from a proposal exceeding the minimum technical
requirements.
The third step is establishing the Source Selection Organization (SSO). SSO s should be established
early in the planning stages. The success of the SSO relies on the skills, expertise, and experience of
the members. Representatives from appropriate functional areas such as contracting, technical,
logistics, legal, program management, and users should make up the source selection organization. In
formal source selection the SSO consists of three entities; 1) Source Selection Authority (SSA); 2)
Source Selection Advisory Council (SSAC); and 3) Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB). The
Source Selection Authority (SSA) can be the contracting officer or a higher level official (agency head
or other official) on more complex acquisitions. The SSA is responsible for the proper conduct of the
source selection, establishing the SSO, approving the source selection/evaluation plan, solicitation,
and consistency within acquisition documents. The SSA selects the successful offeror. The SSAC
compares the proposals against one another and provides an analysis to the SSA. The SSEB evaluates
the proposals. The SSEB is made up of multiple groups of evaluators

Frank Stella Research Paper
The work of Frank Stella presents itself as a catalyst. It is equipped with a three dimensional energy
that goes beyond the limits of the canvas and spreads itself onto real space. His creations invite us in
to interact. He is one of the pioneers of Minimalism, with his famous black paintings (1958 60) ,for
which he received early and overnight recognition and acclaim . Those Black Paintings consisted of,
basically , stripes of black house paint laid out in stark repetitive, patterns separated by thin lines of
unpainted canvas .(Fig 1) In the evolution of its production, he becomes a pictorial reference to
exuberance, through his layering buildup and works that are full of curves, twists and contortions. If,

Between 1958 and 1960, with a series of 23 canvases known as Black Paintings, Frank Stella cancels
out any trace of visual illusionist effects or references, and creates non relational images . He builds a
linear pattern, organizing a structure of parallel stripes. With the phrase What you see is what you see ,
he lays out the elements of absolute flatness of his painting, building, by doing so, a logic rationale to
their visual system. It is time for the reasoned geometric rigor of symmetry, regularity and serial
repetition. In his minimalism, Stella eliminates color, he uses black paint and then metallic gray and
copper paint to reduce the idea of illusion. By focusing on unity and the fabric surface homogeneity
the all over he begins to express one of the aspects of the minimalist movement. These paintings are
part of the exhibition Sixteen Americans held in 1959 at MoMA.
Nonetheless, the reductive course that Stella chose takes him to an alternative path: he chooses to end
austerity, by replacing monochromatic stripes with multiple colors and shades that immediately take
the viewer to spatial interpretations. Stella s art does not take into account the limits of the traditional
rectangular canvas , always reminding us that no matter what connotations his paintings may evoke

Alpine Drive Investigation
Leading up to the investigation, at 10:30 the Police Communications Bureau called me at home and
informed me of a request for a Detective follow up at Alpine Drive. Originally, patrol officers
responded to the address regarding yelling and screaming, but once they arrived they found the door
open and no one inside. While responding officers were still at the scene, others were dispatched to a
location a couple miles away where a passing reported someone lying next to the roadway. Officers
found a young woman who had been badly beaten and stabbed. The victim did happen to be alive but
was unconscious. She was transported to the hospital where she is reported to be in critical condition.
While this is all going on, officers stood at the hospital. They believe the unidentified victim could be
connected to the call on Alpine Drive. When I arrived, a Patrol Sergeant filled me in on the
circumstances. Neighbors called 9 1 1 to report the sound of yelling and a female voice ... Show more

The World Is Too Much With Us Essay
We all think that we appreciate the nature around us, but do we really? How often do we spend time
sitting out on the grass, bird watching? Even if we do, can we sit for more than five minutes without
our tasks rushing back into our mind? In The World is Too Much with Us, William Wordsworth
touches upon this idea of excessive greed and our refusal to allow nature around us into our every day
life. This poem discusses Wordsworth s ongoing frustration with the world around him. We are not
paying attention to nature, but instead are focused on getting and spending . The recurring theme of
excessive materialism flows through every line, all very relatable to the modern day. We are out of
tune with the world, out of touch with our own spirituality, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I know that there are a lot of positive aspects of the internet, and when used properly, it can be
beneficial. However, there are many people my age who rely on this for nearly all aspects of their
lives, and that results in a too dependent generation. A lot of the people around me don t know what it
is like to go somewhere without their cell phone. We have forgotten what it is like to sit down on a
park bench and observe our surroundings for thirty minutes. I think this has affected how millennials
socially interact with others. Scrolling through my timeline on social media, I see people bragging
about their possessions and the cost of the watch on their wrist. Rather than enjoying the sun or the
rain, they are on their phones, trying to get the perfect camera shot. The world of social media has
become a world of instant gratification. Wordsworth s stance on the modern world is all too similar to
the modern world today. Although cell phones weren t around during his time, the feeling wa still the
same. I believe this will always be the case, and every few years there will be another distraction. The
best thing we can do for ourselves is make sure that we don t get too carried away by this world that is
too much with us. Having these new technologies are fun and beneficial to a certain extent, but we
must remember that everything should be at a nice

The Health And Fitness Industry
The Health and Fitness Industry generates over $80 billion globally with about 151.5 million members

The Factors Of Production Of Jacob Davis
Jacob Davis
The Factors of Production
Capital In the beginning Jacob Davis used his own money to manufacture the jeans. But when the
jeans became a huge success, he didn t have enough money to file a patent application and therefore
asked Levi Strauss to help him and they filed a patent together.
Raw materials He used heavy duty cotton duck / denim fabric for these pants reinforced with copper
rivets.
Labour The original making of the jeans was done by Davis alone but once he started working with
Strauss, the first pants are said to have been made by seamstresses in their homes however later in a
factory owned by Strauss in the city.
Entrepreneurship Davis planned, organised, lead and controlled everything as a tailor. But once

He just had an observation that metal rivets made horse blankets stronger to use. (He noticed this to
his previous dealings with manufacturing tents and horse blankets) He used the same metal rivets on
jeans to see if it made them any durable and it did. Being a tailor also gave him a lot knowledge about
materials already. He also observed that workers needed stronger materials for their pants that was
comfortable, cheap and available in even bigger sizes then the usual. This lead to motivation and the
desire to design such a material.
Which leadership style has Jacob Davis adopted in managing his business?
Davis initially ended up working for Levi Strauss and Co. So he didn t truly own the business. But
when he was a tailor he was a democratic leader. He never had employees work under him due to the
fact his business was rather small. His idea didn t really involve any suggestions from anyone but the
fact that he eventually worked together with Strauss makes him a democratic leader because he
allowed Strauss s input and they had lots of communication amongst them.

cantilever can be erected during the football season. This share of the roof was erected in modules
containing a rafter, the backup mast, the 14m long back stay and the linking inner forestay. The top of
the mast is 12m overhead the new rooftop level and 37m overhead ground level. It is formed with
457mm diameter CHS sections, while the linking forestays and backstays are all 406mm diameter

Directly after the last home match of the season, the current roof and columns were removed which
then allowed the front share of the new roof, along with the connecting 34m long front forestay, to be

Essay On Age Discrimination
Age has been a discrimination issue for a while and has affected many because of certain rules and
laws those of age have to follow. Age discrimination is something not many look at because some
assume it is not a big deal, it may seem as age equality has been both accepted by the community that
it is known universally because it is in our modern day culture, but as well as facing critical issues
such as elderly abuse or aged care. I will be looking into section 15(1) of the Charter, under the
equality rights it is known as, Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to
the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without
discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, sex, age or mental or physical

that I have chosen. The first case I will discuss is the case of, Lavoie v. Canada [2002] 1 S.C.R. 769.

What Is John Bowlby Attachment Theory
Attachment theory. In 1958, John Bowlby proposed the idea of attachment theory (McLeod, 2009).
This theory identifies the infant s need to seek closeness and proximity with the caregiver when he/she
feels scared or threatened. The caregiver provides safety and security. The caregiver and infant s
relationship form four possible attachment styles: secure, avoidant, ambivalent/anxious, and
disorganized (McLeod, 2009). Secure attachment occurs when the caregiver meets the child s needs.
The child feels safe and secure. In contrast, avoidant attachment occurs when the caregiver is
emotionally avoidant, insensitive, and unaware of the child s needs. In this case, the child learns to
care for himself/herself. Avoidant attachment children become independent

Devdas Metaphor Essay
Devdas as the word comes to mind it conjures up the visage of a haggard, world weary, lovelorn soul,

Quality And Safety Of Neonatal Care
Quality and Safety in Neonatal Care in Nursing Practice Infants within the neonatal intensive care unit
(NICU) are one of the most vulnerable patient population in the hospital. The quality and safety of
these patients are at top priority because of their immune systems have not fully developed yet causing
them to be at the highest risk for infections. According to the Institute of Medicine (IOM, 2001),
quality is defined as the degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the
likelihood of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge
(Masters, 2005). The Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) defines safety as, the

Scope of Quality and Safety in NICU practice Patient s in the NICU are considered to be very tiny and
fragile and immunocompromised due to their immature organ systems which can lead to many
dangerous medical problems. Patricia W. Stone states maintaining a safe environment reflects a level
of compassion and vigilance for patient welfare that is as important as any other aspect of competent
health care (Stone, 2008). The patient s safety should always be a top concerned for a nurse because in
a health care facility the purpose is to heal the patient and get them on the road to recovery. Nurses
must learn from the errors of the past and use their knowledge to improve the quality of nursing to the
patients to ensure if errors do happen again that the use of evidence based practices are put into place
to improve their outcomes. According to Higher Quality of Care and Patient Safety, Registered Nurses
(RNs) are instrumental in achieving multiple care goals, including promoting infant health and clinical
stability, maintaining the integrity and cleanliness of central catheters, and preparing families for their
role in infant care and successful transition it home (Lake, 2016). Nurses are reasonable for the
education of the families of the patients to ensure that the best quality of care for the patient is
maintained outside the hospital to ensure the best medical outcome for the infants.

William Blake s The Tyger And The Lamb
Two Sides to Every Coin Though the ages many writers have come and gone, and with them brought
many ideas or viewpoints on life and the human soul. Undoubtedly, William Blake was indeed one of
those monumental writers who paved the way for new thinking. A thinking of the human soul and two
intricate parts that join to fulfill a soul. Both pairs of the soul are illustrated in both The Tyger and The
Lamb. Both poems being commonly referred to as staples of poetry, can allude to different ideas. Man
believe they deal with the questions such as, who is the creator? and why did he create us? Rather I
believe that while yes those are key thoughts with thin these poems, there is a deeper meaning,
revealing the inner depths of our souls and the capacity to grow well and proper, or become a beast,
which we all have dominion over in each of our lives. With Blake s precise use of structure, theme,
and literary devices, both poems are brought into a new light and can be easily juxtaposed to
illuminate the truth of the life we live. Before examining each poem you have to know Blake and the
way he wrote. A major collection of poems, Songs of Innocence and Experience, summarizes Blake s
main philosophy of the human soul. In which Blake believed that each person had to pass through an
innocent state of life, like a lamb, and through the molding process of our external experiences,
mirroring a tiger (page 262). Each poem from either side represents the innocence or

The Biblical Interpretation Of Exodus And Song Of...
After Reformation period, the allegorical biblical interpretation was criticized and rejected by
contemporary biblical interpretation theory, and a lot of Christian evangelical churches. However, as a
long tradition stems from the early church, allegorical interpretation has never been disappeared; on
the contrary, it was one the most important exegesis tradition in the history of Chinese Protestant
Church. Many fundamentalist theologians and church leaders were influenced by it, while Jia Yuming
is one of the representative figures. This paper attempts to explain the characteristic of Jia Yuming` s
allegorical biblical interpretation, and to explore the contribution of his exegesis in Chinese Christian
theology. Jia Yuming`s allegorical interpretation was influenced by several theological schools. He
graduated from Presbyterian seminary, and had reformed theology background, then he influenced by
pietistic theology and Charismatic movement, and then turned to allegorical exegesis. In this paper,
we will use Jia Yuming` s interpretation of Exodus and Song of Solomon as an example to analyze its
characteristics. Exodus had a lot of narrative and laws, and was allegorical explained by Jia Yuming.
Song of Solomon is the most difficult book to interpret and often be interpreted as an allegory.

Sleep And Slow Wave Sleep Essay
improves procedural memory, i.e. skills and procedures [1,2] as well as declarative memory [3]. REM
and slow wave sleep
(SWS) have been implicated in memory consolidation [3 5].
Lack of REM sleep is associated with poor recall of visual location [6]. Decline in declarative memory
consolidation is correlated with a decline in slow wave sleep [7]. Spencer et al. observed similar initial
procedural learning in older and younger adults; however, the older adults performance did not
improve following sleep, suggesting that sleep dependent memory consolidation decreases with age
[8]. This may reflect the disturbed sleep and disrupted SWS in the elderly [3,8,9]. Slow wave sleep
increases until shortly before puberty and then shows a prominent drop across adolescence, decreasing
by more than
60% between ages 10 and 20 years [10]. It is critical to understand the cognitive effects of normal
sleep in order to understand the consequences of disrupted sleep. This is important since the majority
of adolescents do not obtain the recommended amount of sleep and that disrupted sleep is a key
symptom in most adolescent psychiatric and developmental disorders [11].
Backhaus et al. studied twenty seven children with an average age of 10.1 years (range of nine to
twelve), on a learned word pairs list, employing a within subject design and two post learning
assessments. They found that declarative memory was significantly increased immediately after an
interval of sleep, as well as with

The Youth Criminal Justice Act
Dear Mike Wallace, chair of the Justice and Human Rights Committee,
I am writing today with reference to the recent amendments being proposed to the Youth Criminal
Justice Act, contained within Bill C 10. This bill proposes a multitude of amendments that should be
made to the current Youth Criminal Justice Act. One of the major amendments that Bill C 10 proposes
is in relation to the location of detention for young offenders. Currently, a young offender, under the
age of eighteen, can be ordered by the court to serve their sentence in a correctional facility for adults.
Clause 186 of Bill C 10 proposes to replace section 76(2) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act by
changing the already existing legislation to provide that a young offender, under the age of eighteen,
will serve their sentence at a youth custody facility, in all cases and regardless of the crime committed.
This is one of the most important amendments being proposed because of the research that has taken
place in relation to young offenders serving their sentences in adult correctional facilities. For the
remainder of this letter, I will be presenting evidence as to why clause 186 is an important amendment
to make to the Youth Criminal Justice Act in order to protect not only Canadians within society but
those who have committed a crime at a young age.
When looking at a crime committed by a person under eighteen there are various factors to examine
when determining why the offence was committed and how

The Bombing Of The Uss Maine
February 15th, 1898, the USS Maine was hit with a mine as it sat in the Havana Harbor. There is large
speculation to whether that is the truth or not. Over the years it is still a topic of debate as of what
caused the explosion. Some believe that the Spaniards did it, others believe it was a clumsy mistake of
misplaced ammo, others believe it was a spontaneous coal fire that caught a box of ammunition on
fire. No matter the cause, the loss of the ship and 260 of her crew was devastating to America at the
time and led to strong feelings of dislike towards the Spaniards, leading to the Spanish American war
of 1898. The theories behind the explosion of the USS Maine is mainly focused around two ideas,
there are many angles that can be viewed for the cause of this disaster and its fueling of the war that
will be examined in this paper.
The Spanish American war was a short war in which America won in three months, two weeks and
four days. The fights were extremely unbalanced as America dominated Spain in all of the battles. At
Manila Bay in the Philippines the American fleet, under command of Commodore Dewey, destroyed
the Spanish fleet and took over the Philippines on May 1st, in which total America only had several
wounded soldiers at the end of the battle. In June, American forces landed outside of the Cuban city of
Santiago where their heavy woolen winter uniforms caused them to sweat profusely in the intense
Spanish heat. Amidst the heat they re provisions consisted of

The United States Involvement During The Vietnam War
Though out history, American has had its hand in conflict with other countries. Some of those
conflicts have turned out into wars. Looking back at America s track record with war, America has a
worthy past of having its citizen s support. Obviously the two World Wars we not controversial. The
United States in the Korean War was criticized, fairly, for its strategy, but the need to defend South
Korea was never questioned. In only the Vietnam War was the United States very participation
criticized. This is such a gigantic change with prior wars that it bears study as to why it happened, and
better yet, should have it happened. This paper will discuss the United States involvement in the
Vietnam War, by asking the simple question, Should have the Untied States gotten involved into the
first place. This paper will prove that in fact, America should have not gotten involved with the
Vietnam War. The Vietnam War took place in between 1947 1975. It consisted of North Vietnam
trying to make South Vietnam a communism government. The United States later joined this conflict
because of the stress North Vietnam was putting to South Vietnam to become a government that
America did not want. The main reason why America joined was because of a theory called the
Domino Effect. America and Russia were going through what has been dubbed the Cold War. The
Domino Effect is the theory that communism will spread form one country to another. United states
does not want this because our

History Of The Omaha Tribe
The Plains Indians tribe that I chose to research was the Omaha Tribe. The Omaha Tribe lived near
present day Nebraska and parts of Iowa; however, the Omaha Tribe is most known for being native to
Nebraska. This tribe is still on a reservation in Macy, Nebraska today. This tribe is in Nebraska
because when the Europeans arrived to North America, they drove out the Omaha Tribe along with
many other Plains Indians Tribes. Today, the Omaha Tribe consists of around 6,000 members. The
Omaha Tribe was a unique tribe mainly because of what they practiced. The Omaha Tribe practiced
polygamy, which was the practice of one man having multiple spouses. In the Omaha Tribe, the
maximum number of wives that a man could have was three. Their [the Omaha Tribe] religion was
associated with the practice of medicine, and with their war customs, and with their gentile systems
(https://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/omaha tribe.htm). Originally, the Omaha Tribe commonly
lived in bark longhouse villages. However, they then started to become accustomed more to living in
tepees, and that is what they mostly still live in today.
Only men were selected to lead the tribe until 1880. Men from the Omaha Tribe commonly wore
leggings and buckskin shirts with breechcloth. The wore moccasins on their feet. However, in colder
weather, they made long robes out of buffalo hide and wore them in the cold. The shirts were usually
fringed and dirty. The women of the Omaha tribe wore clothes made from buckskin

Rhetorical Analysis of The Shawshank Redemption Essay
Rhetorical Analysis of The Shawshank Redemption The Shawshank Redemption is an inspiring story
about Andy Dufreine and his efforts to maintain hope in horrible situations. The directors used many
effective methods that displayed signs of hope in such a horrible place. Andy maintained hope by
distracting his mind and always staying occupied. Andy was also inspired to survive by helping others
find hope in life.
The creators of this movie used several effective, and often subtle, methods to illustrate the hope
found in Andy and his surroundings. Andy was always portrayed as a clean cut and well groomed
prisoner with his shirt always buttoned and his hair always combed. This self respect was in great
contrast to the other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first distraction for Andy was the rock hammer, which allowed him to keep physically occupied.
The rock hammer allowed Andy to stay optimistic about returning to a normal life by reminding him
how life was on the outside. The rock hammer was also very important and symbolic in Andy s
escape. His escape was portrayed as glorious and represented the final result of keeping hope. Andy
was assigned to the library, which built up to the largest events in his pursuit of hope. He was
presented with the opportunity to help the guards with financial advising and filling out tax forms,
which virtually removed Andy from the prison life and let him operate almost completely as if he were
at his old job. His job allowed him gain the respect of the guards, which relieved some of the
awfulness of prison life. Andy s attempt to enlarge and develop the library was another distractions for
him. His constant letter writing to request funds for expanding the library took some of Andy s time
and allowed him to focus his mind on things other than prison. After his years of requests were finally
answered with books and eventually annual funds Andy and Red were presented with the full time job
of maintaining the new, huge library. These new responsibilities were key in making their lives
bearable and in lessening the difficulties of prison. The actual receiving of the books and funds also
inspired the men and gave

Rise Of American Feudalism
Feudalism was the predominant way of life before capitalism. During the feudal era, everyone lived
life according to the privileges and obligations that were associated with their social standing. The
interest of everyone one the manor was to please a higher lord s: vassals sought to pay their debts and
lords would provide residents of the manor with the means of subsistence in exchange for their labor.
On a manor, there was no currency; all obligations were paid in kind or were done to repay someone
else for their service. In a capitalist society, the goal of the individual is to acquire as much wealth for
himself. He is only interested in gaining money for his interest as opposed to paying obligatory debts
like in feudalism. After the change ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the rise of capitalism and the spread of money into rural areas, vassals began to commodity their
labor, and lords began to commodity their land. Commodifying land and labor allowed lords and
vassals to receive more cash on a regular basis, yet the payments they received were still not steady
and constant. As more vassals and lords commodified land and labor, land and labor soon became
regarded as commodities. In feudalism, labor was seen as a relationship between the laborer and the
lord, or the person receiving the labor. With the spread of monetization, however, the concept of
abstract labor was introduced: a laborer could now sell his capacity/power and ability to do labor and
the purchaser would be the owner of anything that the laborer produced (i.e. if someone buys someone
s capacity to cook a meal, the meal that the laborer produces with the boot capacity belongs to the
buyer). This new way of understanding labor soon became widespread and labor feudal perceptions of
labor were abandoned; labor had become a commodity, part of a capitalist economy. Moreover, land
was now thought of as a commodity that could be bought and sold, unlike in feudalism where it was
only seen as a lease from a higher lord that could be exploited but never owned. Perceptions of
property also changed; property, or the amount of tangible goods someone had in their possession,

Historical Analysis Of Cinderella
I chose to do romantic love for my myth analysis. The components to a romantic love are like a fairy
tale. Women are waiting to find their knight and shiny armor. Men and women expect to have the
perfect marriage and live happily ever after. In romantic myths couples are seen as perfect with no
issues at all. Romantic love is shown in movies, songs, and novels. Romantic love never shows the
actuality of realistic relationships. Realistically people get divorced more than marriage. The first
artifact I pick is the movie Cinderella. Cinderella is an orphan mistreated by her step sisters, and mom.
One night Cinderella god mother grants her w carriage. An example, of romantic love is when she
falls in love with Prince Lionel at the ball.
According to Cinderella (1997), ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to Cinderella house to see who fits the slipper. Cinderella fits the slipper and she goes with the prince.
Another example, of showing romantic love is when she gets married at the end. Cinderella lives
happily ever after with Prince Lionel. Little girls admire Cinderella because it is a myth to romantic
love. They dream of finding the perfect man. The second artifact I chose for the romantic myth is The

Elias Ashmole, An English Alchemist
Elias Ashmole, an English alchemist during the late Renaissance wrote about the Philosopher s Stone
in the Theatrum Chemicum Britannicum Prolegomena (1652), and is described as a Lightning Stone ,
a meteorite like stone fallen from the sky, or the Angelic Stone as he called it:
Lastly, as touching the Angelical Stone, it is so subtle, said the aforesaid author, that it can neither be
seen, felt, or weighed; but tasted only. The voice of man ( which hears some proportion to these subtle
properties) comes forth in comparison; the Air itself is not so penetrable, and yet (Oh mysterious
Wonder!) a Stone, that will lodge in the Fire to Eternity without being prejudiced. It has a Divine
Power, Celestial and Invisible, above the rest; and endows the possessor with Divine Gifts. It affords
the Apparition of Angel, and gives a power of conversing with them, by Dreams and Revelations; nor
dare any Evil Spirit approach the Place where it lodges. because it is a Quintessence wherein there is
no corruptible Thing; and where the Elements are not corrupted, no Devil can stay or abide.
In Gnosticism, we also find the references to the divine imagination. In the Apocryphon of John, it
quotes a lengthy section from the lost Book of Zoroaster, which explains how the astral rulers or
powers create each part of the material body of Adam and list their appropriate correspondences. The
text tells us, And the one over the imagina

Elisabeth Condon’s Nocturne vs. Vincent van Gogh’s The...
Similarity in theme and color first drew me to select Elisabeth Condon s Nocturne (Bob Rauschenberg
Gallery) and Vincent van Gogh s The Starry Night (Frank 348) for this research paper. Initially I
wanted to pick two pieces that were different enough in order to form a decent comparison and yet
alike enough to connect them in some way. In the art gallery, Nocturne gave me a feeling similar to
the one I experienced when I first saw The Starry Night; there was something otherworldly and
mystical about it. It made you look at a greater expanse then the bit of landscape that was shown in an
unexpected way. Though each work was made in over a hundred year gap from the other, both works
use a brilliant use of color and a view of the sky ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The artist of Nocturne, Elisabeth Condon, was heavily influenced by the places she has visited. Her
own craft of improvisational paint pouring combined with the influence of Eastern art, specifically
Chinese scrolls, helps to create the unique presence that each painting holds. Her paintings, collages
and drawings use improvisational pours of paint, sketchbook drawings and digital projections to
establish idiosyncratic compositions. Heeding the Tang Dynasty dictum of landscape as a fusion of
observation and memory, they interweave external and internal perceptions of particular locations
(ABOUT: Biography). The Starry Night is an oil painting that depicts a small, nestled town under an
almost magical sky. This piece, much like Elisabeth s Nocturne, possesses a dominance of cool hues.
While both paintings depict a night sky, Vincent van Gogh s The Starry Night actually leads the
observer s eyes through the painting due to it s brush strokes and fluidity. Although the work is very
fluid and almost kinetic, it is not overwhelming or busy. Its rhythm is purposeful, not noisy. In fact,
the painting almost gives off a calming, spiritual feeling to the viewer. The sky over the nestled town
is a swirl of blue, yellow, and orange tints and shades that demonstrates an almost ethereal influence
as if something greater is meant to be shown than what is simply before the observer. Radial

Ad Analysis Essays
One of the largest and most controversial issues we as humans face, includes the protection and
preservation of the natural world we call home. When a small group displays the potential to damage
or destroy our beautiful land, the task lies with the people to eliminate such a threat. Between the
years of 2004 2009, Greenpeace, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and others established the
Kleercut campaign against Kimberly Clark in order to prevent the destruction of the Boreal forest
(Kleercut campaign, 2009). Kimberly Clark is the world s largest manufacturer of tissues; their most
prevalent brand being Kleenex. Accusations were made against Kimberly Clark noting that the virgin

committing to environmentally sound logging operations, Kimberly Clark could end its part in the
destruction of ancient forests like the Boreal. Directly below the prior sentence may be the most

Affective Context Effect
Another prominent bias characterizing anxiety is in interpretation or processing of the uncertain and
the unknown. We encounter ambiguous situations in our life daily, but what differs is our subjective
interpretation and processing of that situation. Anxious individuals find themselves to be uneasy all
the time, the main culprits being their thoughts and perceptions about themselves and the world, which
are revealed by the way they process and resolve ambiguity. In an ambiguous situation, processing in
anxiety could be mood congruent or context related (Richards, Holmes, Pell Bethell, 2013). Bower
(1981) and Blanchette, Richards and Cross, (2007) have found evidence for mood congruent
hypothesis whereas evidence to support a context effect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, most studies investigating the context effect, presented the context concurrently with the
stimuli (Richards, Blanchette Munjiza, 2007; Blanchette Richards 2003). Thus, the chances of it
affecting the processing of information were not certain. A particular experimental paradigm used to
study context effect is the adaptation paradigm, which ensures complete influence of the context.
Adaptation can be defined as a change in response of the sensory system to a constant stimulus. The
classic experiment of adaptation after effect was of color, where a red square gives a green perception
after adapting to it for a few seconds (Clifford Rhodes, 2005). This adaptation after effect is also found
with all the different identities and facial expressions (Fox Barton, 2007) but the magnitude of effect
depends on congruence of identity (Pell Richards, 2013), duration (Rhodes, Jeffery, Clifford Leopold,
2007) and familiarity of the faces (Carbon et al., 2007). Adaptation effect is strongest when the
adaptor is presented for a longer period of time, when the identity of the target and adaptor are
congruent and when the face used is a familiar one. The fact that the strength of this effect is present
across various dimensions like gender, expressions and identity, shows that adaptation is strategic and
occurs at a higher level of visual and perceptual processing (Watson Clifford, 2003). One of the
explanations for the adaptation phenomenon is response suppression which refers to the reduced firing
rate of the neurons in response to repeated stimuli (Desimone., 1996; Huber O Reilly 2003). Wiggs
and Martin (1998) advanced this idea and suggested that when a

Women s Day Advertisement Of The Frog Prince
This Women s Day advertisement inspires Women to become the person they dream of being.
Alluding to the timeless fairy tale The Frog Prince with a toy frog wearing a crown, the ad plays on
youthful innocence. The classically magical tale recounts the events of a girl who is not suited for
royalty becoming a princess, which a majority of American and British women were exposed to in
their youth. Therefore, the frog is a happy reference to a time period that every woman has had or will
have where they relate to the girl in the story and feel capable of becoming a princess . Because fairy
tales never follow the prince or princess in the story after becoming such the responsibilities and life is
left to the interpretation of the reader. This promotes imagination in children and may nostalgically
remind Women of the previous ambitious of their childhood. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

associated with soldiers. Targeting Women who have been exposed to The Frog Prince, the intended
audience is broad and probably part of the reason that the advertisement as a whole is left mostly to
interpretation. While very indirect, this ad uses association and self reflection to remind Women of

  • 2. The Hot Zone Movie Analysis The book The Hot Zone and the movie Contagion are both about pandemics, with one a possible pandemic and the other global. They are different because of how the media reacts to the prospect of a pandemic, as well as how they contain or treat the potential outbreak. Both works showed how panic can impact and contribute to the spread of the virus. The Hot Zone and Contagion both show the media s reaction to a potential pandemic. In the book, the media knew nothing about the outbreak other than being mildly aware that something had happened at a monkey house in Reston, Virginia. USAMRIID (the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases) did everything in their power to ensure no one ascertained the truth, since they knew it would cause panic. Scientists used back entrances to the monkey house to avoid being photographed in racal suits. In the movie, the media knew about contaminated people, however, it was not reported as a outbreak of a deadly virus. The media did not anticipate the virus s impact and the associated risks. The pandemic increased, more people died, and the media realized they had underestimated the virus. This resulted in every major media outlet being filled with news of the virus, increases in updates, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In The Hot Zone USAMRIID was able to quarantine and decontaminate the monkey house in Reston with minimal exposure to the virus. Luckily, the virus transpired to only kill monkeys. It altered in a way to become airborne, but lost the ability to widespread infection in humans. The virus in Contagion was anticipated to have a smaller effect and therefore was underestimated until a substantial number of people were infected. Once it was clear that the outbreak was critical the CDC tried to contain it. On day eight 267,000 people were estimated to be infected. The CDC finally got a grip on day 133, when a successful vaccine was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Steps in the Acquisition Process for a Negotiated Best... Acquisition is a process that requires teamwork with each individual and/or group working together to ensure that the customer is provided the greatest overall benefit in response to their requirements (best value). Acquisition planning should start once the need for supplies or services are identified. Integrated Product Teams (IPT) should be used when needed to help develop the acquisition strategy. The use of these teams will reduce false starts and delays resulting from unclear scopes of work. In the following paragraphs the steps in the acquisition process will be defined and discussed. The first step in acquisition planning is market research. Market research collects and analyzes information about the capabilities within the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There will be some acquisitions were tradeoffs may not be utilized. In such situations where the Government would not realize any value from a proposal exceeding the minimum technical requirements. The third step is establishing the Source Selection Organization (SSO). SSO s should be established early in the planning stages. The success of the SSO relies on the skills, expertise, and experience of the members. Representatives from appropriate functional areas such as contracting, technical, logistics, legal, program management, and users should make up the source selection organization. In formal source selection the SSO consists of three entities; 1) Source Selection Authority (SSA); 2) Source Selection Advisory Council (SSAC); and 3) Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB). The Source Selection Authority (SSA) can be the contracting officer or a higher level official (agency head or other official) on more complex acquisitions. The SSA is responsible for the proper conduct of the source selection, establishing the SSO, approving the source selection/evaluation plan, solicitation, and consistency within acquisition documents. The SSA selects the successful offeror. The SSAC compares the proposals against one another and provides an analysis to the SSA. The SSEB evaluates the proposals. The SSEB is made up of multiple groups of evaluators ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Frank Stella Research Paper The work of Frank Stella presents itself as a catalyst. It is equipped with a three dimensional energy that goes beyond the limits of the canvas and spreads itself onto real space. His creations invite us in to interact. He is one of the pioneers of Minimalism, with his famous black paintings (1958 60) ,for which he received early and overnight recognition and acclaim . Those Black Paintings consisted of, basically , stripes of black house paint laid out in stark repetitive, patterns separated by thin lines of unpainted canvas .(Fig 1) In the evolution of its production, he becomes a pictorial reference to exuberance, through his layering buildup and works that are full of curves, twists and contortions. If, in the beginning, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Between 1958 and 1960, with a series of 23 canvases known as Black Paintings, Frank Stella cancels out any trace of visual illusionist effects or references, and creates non relational images . He builds a linear pattern, organizing a structure of parallel stripes. With the phrase What you see is what you see , he lays out the elements of absolute flatness of his painting, building, by doing so, a logic rationale to their visual system. It is time for the reasoned geometric rigor of symmetry, regularity and serial repetition. In his minimalism, Stella eliminates color, he uses black paint and then metallic gray and copper paint to reduce the idea of illusion. By focusing on unity and the fabric surface homogeneity the all over he begins to express one of the aspects of the minimalist movement. These paintings are part of the exhibition Sixteen Americans held in 1959 at MoMA. Nonetheless, the reductive course that Stella chose takes him to an alternative path: he chooses to end austerity, by replacing monochromatic stripes with multiple colors and shades that immediately take the viewer to spatial interpretations. Stella s art does not take into account the limits of the traditional rectangular canvas , always reminding us that no matter what connotations his paintings may evoke ... • 5. Alpine Drive Investigation Leading up to the investigation, at 10:30 the Police Communications Bureau called me at home and informed me of a request for a Detective follow up at Alpine Drive. Originally, patrol officers responded to the address regarding yelling and screaming, but once they arrived they found the door open and no one inside. While responding officers were still at the scene, others were dispatched to a location a couple miles away where a passing reported someone lying next to the roadway. Officers found a young woman who had been badly beaten and stabbed. The victim did happen to be alive but was unconscious. She was transported to the hospital where she is reported to be in critical condition. While this is all going on, officers stood at the hospital. They believe the unidentified victim could be connected to the call on Alpine Drive. When I arrived, a Patrol Sergeant filled me in on the circumstances. Neighbors called 9 1 1 to report the sound of yelling and a female voice ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She works evening as a food server and gets off around 11:00 PM. At about 9:30 PM, she receives a text message from Linda saying that she s received a phone call from a former boyfriend, Anthony Moore, with who she recently broke up the relationship. She mentioned Anthony Moore being angry about the break up, while also sounding intoxicated on the phone. He didn t make any threats when they spoke over the phone, but Linda claimed Anthony to be unpredictable when drinking. Linda sounded nervous and asked Lacy to stop by once she got off of work. Lacy went to the hospital to see if the woman found by the roadway was Linda. Officers standing by at the hospital phone me to report Lacy identified the victim as Linda Corbett. • 6. The World Is Too Much With Us Essay We all think that we appreciate the nature around us, but do we really? How often do we spend time sitting out on the grass, bird watching? Even if we do, can we sit for more than five minutes without our tasks rushing back into our mind? In The World is Too Much with Us, William Wordsworth touches upon this idea of excessive greed and our refusal to allow nature around us into our every day life. This poem discusses Wordsworth s ongoing frustration with the world around him. We are not paying attention to nature, but instead are focused on getting and spending . The recurring theme of excessive materialism flows through every line, all very relatable to the modern day. We are out of tune with the world, out of touch with our own spirituality, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I know that there are a lot of positive aspects of the internet, and when used properly, it can be beneficial. However, there are many people my age who rely on this for nearly all aspects of their lives, and that results in a too dependent generation. A lot of the people around me don t know what it is like to go somewhere without their cell phone. We have forgotten what it is like to sit down on a park bench and observe our surroundings for thirty minutes. I think this has affected how millennials socially interact with others. Scrolling through my timeline on social media, I see people bragging about their possessions and the cost of the watch on their wrist. Rather than enjoying the sun or the rain, they are on their phones, trying to get the perfect camera shot. The world of social media has become a world of instant gratification. Wordsworth s stance on the modern world is all too similar to the modern world today. Although cell phones weren t around during his time, the feeling wa still the same. I believe this will always be the case, and every few years there will be another distraction. The best thing we can do for ourselves is make sure that we don t get too carried away by this world that is too much with us. Having these new technologies are fun and beneficial to a certain extent, but we must remember that everything should be at a nice ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This theory identifies the infant s need to seek closeness and proximity with the caregiver when he/she feels scared or threatened. The caregiver provides safety and security. The caregiver and infant s relationship form four possible attachment styles: secure, avoidant, ambivalent/anxious, and disorganized (McLeod, 2009). Secure attachment occurs when the caregiver meets the child s needs. The child feels safe and secure. Both pairs of the soul are illustrated in both The Tyger and The Lamb. Both poems being commonly referred to as staples of poetry, can allude to different ideas. • 21. Sleep And Slow Wave Sleep Essay improves procedural memory, i.e. skills and procedures [1,2] as well as declarative memory [3]. REM and slow wave sleep (SWS) have been implicated in memory consolidation [3 5]. Lack of REM sleep is associated with poor recall of visual location [6]. Decline in declarative memory consolidation is correlated with a decline in slow wave sleep [7]. Spencer et al. observed similar initial procedural learning in older and younger adults; however, the older adults performance did not improve following sleep, suggesting that sleep dependent memory consolidation decreases with age [8]. This may reflect the disturbed sleep and disrupted SWS in the elderly [3,8,9]. Slow wave sleep increases until shortly before puberty and then shows a prominent drop across adolescence, decreasing by more than 60% between ages 10 and 20 years [10]. It is critical to understand the cognitive effects of normal sleep in order to understand the consequences of disrupted sleep. This is important since the majority of adolescents do not obtain the recommended amount of sleep and that disrupted sleep is a key symptom in most adolescent psychiatric and developmental disorders [11]. Backhaus et al. studied twenty seven children with an average age of 10.1 years (range of nine to twelve), on a learned word pairs list, employing a within subject design and two post learning assessments. They found that declarative memory was significantly increased immediately after an interval of sleep, as well as with delayed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Youth Criminal Justice Act Dear Mike Wallace, chair of the Justice and Human Rights Committee, I am writing today with reference to the recent amendments being proposed to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, contained within Bill C 10. This bill proposes a multitude of amendments that should be made to the current Youth Criminal Justice Act. One of the major amendments that Bill C 10 proposes is in relation to the location of detention for young offenders. Currently, a young offender, under the age of eighteen, can be ordered by the court to serve their sentence in a correctional facility for adults. Clause 186 of Bill C 10 proposes to replace section 76(2) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act by changing the already existing legislation to provide that a young offender, under the age of eighteen, will serve their sentence at a youth custody facility, in all cases and regardless of the crime committed. This is one of the most important amendments being proposed because of the research that has taken place in relation to young offenders serving their sentences in adult correctional facilities. For the remainder of this letter, I will be presenting evidence as to why clause 186 is an important amendment to make to the Youth Criminal Justice Act in order to protect not only Canadians within society but those who have committed a crime at a young age. No matter the cause, the loss of the ship and 260 of her crew was devastating to America at the time and led to strong feelings of dislike towards the Spaniards, leading to the Spanish American war of 1898. With the spread of monetization, however, the concept of abstract labor was introduced: a laborer could now sell his capacity/power and ability to do labor and the purchaser would be the owner of anything that the laborer produced (i.e. if someone buys someone s capacity to cook a meal, the meal that the laborer produces with the boot capacity belongs to the buyer). This new way of understanding labor soon became widespread and labor feudal perceptions of labor were abandoned; labor had become a commodity, part of a capitalist economy. Moreover, land was now thought of as a commodity that could be bought and sold, unlike in feudalism where it was only seen as a lease from a higher lord that could be exploited but never owned. Perceptions of property also changed; property, or the amount of tangible goods someone had in their possession, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Historical Analysis Of Cinderella I chose to do romantic love for my myth analysis. The components to a romantic love are like a fairy tale. Women are waiting to find their knight and shiny armor. Men and women expect to have the perfect marriage and live happily ever after. In romantic myths couples are seen as perfect with no issues at all. Romantic love is shown in movies, songs, and novels. Romantic love never shows the actuality of realistic relationships. Realistically people get divorced more than marriage. The first artifact I pick is the movie Cinderella. Cinderella is an orphan mistreated by her step sisters, and mom. One night Cinderella god mother grants her w carriage. An example, of romantic love is when she falls in love with Prince Lionel at the ball. According to Cinderella (1997), ... • 31. Elias Ashmole, An English Alchemist Elias Ashmole, an English alchemist during the late Renaissance wrote about the Philosopher s Stone in the Theatrum Chemicum Britannicum Prolegomena (1652), and is described as a Lightning Stone , a meteorite like stone fallen from the sky, or the Angelic Stone as he called it: Lastly, as touching the Angelical Stone, it is so subtle, said the aforesaid author, that it can neither be seen, felt, or weighed; but tasted only. The voice of man ( which hears some proportion to these subtle properties) comes forth in comparison; the Air itself is not so penetrable, and yet (Oh mysterious Wonder!) a Stone, that will lodge in the Fire to Eternity without being prejudiced. It has a Divine Power, Celestial and Invisible, above the rest; and endows the possessor with Divine Gifts. It affords the Apparition of Angel, and gives a power of conversing with them, by Dreams and Revelations; nor dare any Evil Spirit approach the Place where it lodges. because it is a Quintessence wherein there is no corruptible Thing; and where the Elements are not corrupted, no Devil can stay or abide. In Gnosticism, we also find the references to the divine imagination. In the Apocryphon of John, it quotes a lengthy section from the lost Book of Zoroaster, which explains how the astral rulers or powers create each part of the material body of Adam and list their appropriate correspondences. • 32. Elisabeth Condon’s Nocturne vs. Vincent van Gogh’s The... Similarity in theme and color first drew me to select Elisabeth Condon s Nocturne (Bob Rauschenberg Gallery) and Vincent van Gogh s The Starry Night (Frank 348) for this research paper. Initially I wanted to pick two pieces that were different enough in order to form a decent comparison and yet alike enough to connect them in some way. In the art gallery, Nocturne gave me a feeling similar to the one I experienced when I first saw The Starry Night; there was something otherworldly and mystical about it. It made you look at a greater expanse then the bit of landscape that was shown in an unexpected way. Though each work was made in over a hundred year gap from the other, both works use a brilliant use of color and a view of the sky ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The artist of Nocturne, Elisabeth Condon, was heavily influenced by the places she has visited. Her own craft of improvisational paint pouring combined with the influence of Eastern art, specifically Chinese scrolls, helps to create the unique presence that each painting holds. Her paintings, collages and drawings use improvisational pours of paint, sketchbook drawings and digital projections to establish idiosyncratic compositions. Heeding the Tang Dynasty dictum of landscape as a fusion of observation and memory, they interweave external and internal perceptions of particular locations (ABOUT: Biography). The Starry Night is an oil painting that depicts a small, nestled town under an almost magical sky. This piece, much like Elisabeth s Nocturne, possesses a dominance of cool hues. While both paintings depict a night sky, Vincent van Gogh s The Starry Night actually leads the observer s eyes through the painting due to it s brush strokes and fluidity. Although the work is very fluid and almost kinetic, it is not overwhelming or busy. Its rhythm is purposeful, not noisy. In fact, the painting almost gives off a calming, spiritual feeling to the viewer. The sky over the nestled town is a swirl of blue, yellow, and orange tints and shades that demonstrates an almost ethereal influence as if something greater is meant to be shown than what is simply before the observer. When a small group displays the potential to damage or destroy our beautiful land, the task lies with the people to eliminate such a threat. Between the years of 2004 2009, Greenpeace, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and others established the Kleercut campaign against Kimberly Clark in order to prevent the destruction of the Boreal forest (Kleercut campaign, 2009). The audience also includes those who have access to a phone or internet and can contact the Kimberly Clark Company to voice their complaints with Kleenex. The goal of the campaign was to compel the viewer to make a difference and express his/her opinion about the situation. • 34. Affective Context Effect Another prominent bias characterizing anxiety is in interpretation or processing of the uncertain and the unknown. We encounter ambiguous situations in our life daily, but what differs is our subjective interpretation and processing of that situation. Anxious individuals find themselves to be uneasy all the time, the main culprits being their thoughts and perceptions about themselves and the world, which are revealed by the way they process and resolve ambiguity. In an ambiguous situation, processing in anxiety could be mood congruent or context related (Richards, Holmes, Pell Bethell, 2013). Bower (1981) and Blanchette, Richards and Cross, (2007) have found evidence for mood congruent hypothesis whereas evidence to support a context effect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, most studies investigating the context effect, presented the context concurrently with the stimuli (Richards, Blanchette Munjiza, 2007; Blanchette Richards 2003). Thus, the chances of it affecting the processing of information were not certain. A particular experimental paradigm used to study context effect is the adaptation paradigm, which ensures complete influence of the context. Adaptation can be defined as a change in response of the sensory system to a constant stimulus. The classic experiment of adaptation after effect was of color, where a red square gives a green perception after adapting to it for a few seconds (Clifford Rhodes, 2005). This adaptation after effect is also found with all the different identities and facial expressions (Fox Barton, 2007) but the magnitude of effect depends on congruence of identity (Pell Richards, 2013), duration (Rhodes, Jeffery, Clifford Leopold, 2007) and familiarity of the faces (Carbon et al., 2007). Adaptation effect is strongest when the adaptor is presented for a longer period of time, when the identity of the target and adaptor are congruent and when the face used is a familiar one. The fact that the strength of this effect is present across various dimensions like gender, expressions and identity, shows that adaptation is strategic and occurs at a higher level of visual and perceptual processing (Watson Clifford, 2003). One of the explanations for the adaptation phenomenon is response suppression which refers to the reduced firing rate of the neurons in response to repeated stimuli (Desimone., 1996; Huber O Reilly 2003). Wiggs and Martin (1998) advanced this idea and suggested that when a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Women s Day Advertisement Of The Frog Prince This Women s Day advertisement inspires Women to become the person they dream of being. Alluding to the timeless fairy tale The Frog Prince with a toy frog wearing a crown, the ad plays on youthful innocence. The classically magical tale recounts the events of a girl who is not suited for royalty becoming a princess, which a majority of American and British women were exposed to in their youth. Therefore, the frog is a happy reference to a time period that every woman has had or will have where they relate to the girl in the story and feel capable of becoming a princess .
