Working Title: Stuck in Time
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
The main audience, which I have targeted, is 16-24 and then I will try and aim to target both the
female and male audience as with the survey which I had made there was 50/50 between the
genders. And there is no social status which you need to be to view this short film as It will be free
for everyone to view as I didn’t want to take a specific social status out of the viewing of it
because I wouldn’t seem fair to block them out. Also I feel like it would appeal to 16-24 year olds
because there are open to seeing anything which they want to and also I feel like the younger
generation wouldn’t appeal to the short film which I have made because there is no bright colours
and cartoony animations in it as I didn’t want to appeal to the younger audience which would be
under 10. As well I don’t have a specific gender, which I am trying to appeal to because I don’t
want to single out either of the genders.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the
Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Skills which I have acquired throughout the year would be that I have gained the ability to do
some effects in premiere pro which I didn’t know before hand including a glitch effect which was a
struggle to do, As well another skill which I have acquired would be that I now know how to
change different things in premiere pro including the speed of a section of the film and also the
ability to change all kinds of colour effects which can be a applied to each video and also I have
learnt how to make transitions either for audio or video which are varied throughout the
experiments which I have created in the recent months starting college.
Review your progress throughout the year- what skills and knowledge have you acquired?
How has the subjects you have studied this year informed your choice for this project?
What have you studied and how will it have a direct impact upon your project?
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for my final product is that I want to have it so that the character will have to find a
watch while they are going throughout there day and as the character looks at the watch he sees
that it isn’t set to the right time he changes it and as he changes it his surroundings start to go
forward in the speed in which the character had changed it and he is very shocked and then sees
if it was a one by rewinding the time backwards and he seems everything go backwards and once
he knows that he can control time he starts to abuse the control which he has and does things for
his own benefit such as getting in front of people when trying to get what he wants and by the end
of the short film he keeps abusing the control which he has and then he breaks the watch while he
is rewinding time as he has broken the watch he is know stuck in time for the rest of his life which
makes the audience no longer feel sympathetic for them, which they had in the start of the short
film.
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/
Production Techniques (approx. 150 words)
A technique which I am going to try and use mainly in my short film would be a time-lapse which
will be the main technique which I will use throughout the short film as I am going to make a time-
lapse of the background as the main character will act in normal speed, to do this I may have to
use a green screen because I don’t really know how to make it seem as if he is moving in normal
speed, also with audio I will have to record it while doing the filming or try and record at another
time because I will need to get certain sound effects such as the ambient atmospheric sounds
which I can get by recording a road with the different sounds which will occur throughout the
recording, I don’t think that I will require any special equipment as I will only need a camera to
make the time-lapse and then I need a recorder for the sound effects
What specialist techniques do you need to consider? (e.g. green screen, Steadicam, post-

production, sound, etc.)
Does this require any specialist equipment/training/demos?
The only equipment, which I will need, will be the recorder and also a camera with a stand to help
me film the time-lapse.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
The way in which I plan on evaluating my work would be to make sure that I evaluate It as I am
doing the work because otherwise I may forget what I did on that specific day, as well by
evaluating each piece of work on the day I did them it will help to know what each specific thing
that went into completing the work, and with the self-reflection I will have to make sure that I
evaluate on that day because it will be in different stages reflected on what I had done on that day
and with the final evaluation we have to do I will need to make sure that I compare my work to
other existing work.
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation and your final
self-reflection, analysing your work and its outcomes.
