1. Production Reflection

2. Process – Day 1
For the first day of production I started of my trying to make a brand logo
which I liked so I initial came up with a few designs on paper which I
thought were alright but I thought that I could do better so I got given the
idea by Alex to use illustrator to make my design because it is a lot better
in the drawing aspect compared to Photoshop as when you finish the
drawing it will refine it for you and make it a lot more detailed the first
design which I came up with would be the lightning looking text which is
took inspiration from my own signature and with the first letter I thought
that the lightning bolt would look very cool because at first I wanted to
have a cartoon image of Saturn with the text wrapped around it and have
the letter s as a lightning bolt which went through the whole of the
planet but I realized with the way I wanted it to be layed out I couldn't get
it to look like I wanted it to so I decided against this design and changed it
completely so when I had decided to change it I moved on to creating a
text which looked cool so I began with the same lightning bolt looking s
and then make the text around that having a similar kind of font which
had lots of straight lines. After I had finished this in illustrator I went onto
putting it into Photoshop and went through different effects which mainly
included me changing the color of the text and then adding a black stroke
to it so that It makes it look like it is neon which was the kind of effect
which I was trying to aim for because I wanted the text to stand out.

3. Process – Day 2
For the second day of production I continued with the
designing aspect of my work which included me making
more detail into the design which I had done yesterday
with the alien and added different things to it to see if it
looks better than before hand so today I decided to add a
galaxy image to it which I made the screen for the opacity
so that the image of the galaxy and the planet appear on
the top of the aliens face, and then I went onto completely
getting rid of the green in the alien and make it the pattern
of the alien which I thought looked a lot better even
though it has gotten rid of the detail which I had made in
the design before, I did the exact same thing with the text
which looks very well with each other because as they are
right next to each other the planet which is there they look
like the images are the same which they are not. To get the
pattern for the alien I had to make myself a completely
new galaxy background so that there couldn't be any
copyright issues as well as I can say that everything in this
FMP besides the t-shirts are made by myself which is
something which I wanted to make sure that happened for
this FMP

4. Process – day 3
For the 3rd day of the rotation I began my trying out another design
which took me down the retro theme for the text because I really
like look of it, so initially I began my looking on the internet on a
tutorial on how to make this certain design and then watched
through and put my own twist on the design to make sure that it is
my own design and then first of all making this effect on the text I
had to find a font that I wanted so I decided to go with font which
the video had shown because I thought that they went well with the
design and also they look really nice by themselves, so after I had
got the font that I wanted I moved onto doing the things which they
video says to do, the first thing to do would be to get the text to a
position which I liked and go from there, after getting the exact
position which I thought was nice I began with the actual effect
which I had to start by adding a stroke to it which began on red the
reason which I had to add the stroke to it would have to be that I
needed the outside to match with the gradient of the font so with
the gradient of the outside I went blue and white which the video
had shown me, then I added the gradient to the actual text which
consisted of a mix of blue, purple, white and black to go with the
retro theme. For this day I had only managed to complete this
section of the design because I tried to add the shadows to my work
but I couldn’t as it kept popping up with an error which told me that
I couldn’t do the thing which is was trying to do so I decided to leave
it for the day.

5. Process – day 4
For the last day of the first week of production I had to continue
with retro themed font as the day before it wouldn’t let me add the
shadowing which I wanted so as I opened up the document and
tried it again thinking that It wouldn’t work it actually let me add the
shadow so with the shadow section of the work it took be the
whole first lesson as I had to keep getting the right amount of shade
in each section and with the polygonal loop tool it kept selecting the
wrong section of the text and once I had added the black and white
gradient to the section and I had to use the colour burn option
because it would change the colour from black and white to blue
and black which is the colour of the gradient I have used and also
the gradient of the loop tool it revealed the gradient on the stroke
of the text. After I had completed the shadowing around the text I
proceeded onto adding a glow to both of the sections of text which
made them stand out more to do this I had to go into the blending
options and select the outer glow option and change it to a colour
which matches the text colour, the reason which I wanted to do this
would be because it stands out but I have realised that if I wanted
this to be on a t-shirt I would need to get rid of the glow and the
gradient for the text because if I where to chose screen printing it
would get the shading correct and there would be no way of
including the glow because it wouldn’t work. Once I had finally
finished this effect I wanted to change the colour so I added a
gradient to it which gave it a somewhat orange and purple effect to
it which looks a lot better than the one before.

6. Process – Day 5
For the 1st day of the second week for the designing process for my work I started
my doing my second design for my other t shirt which Is a long sleeve t shirt as I
wanted to have different types and also this t shirt is the females because I have
already got the t-shirts I need for the printing process I just need to add the
designs. The first design which I had came up with would be the bar on the side of
the arm with the text inside it which is transparent then once I had made this one
I wanted to add to it and make more designs based around this initial once which
led me onto making paint brush splashes with the text inside of it using one of
the colour schemes which I have got in the planning section of my work, The
colour scheme which I went with loads of different kinds of shades of pink and
purple because it links to the space theme which I have gone for, I quite like this
once over the normal black bar with text in it because It is a lot more detailed and
the colours are brighter but at the same time as having a positive a negative
which I have with this design would have to be that the paint brush splatters don’t
looks like they should be order like there are so if I where to try and make this
one again I would want to have a lot of the colour repeated so that it doesn’t look
like a pattern. After messing around with that design I moved onto trying to make
a different design which I found by downloading a lot of different brushed of the
internet and looking through them and I found this one which looks like a
mountain in a paint brush look which I really liked so I duplicated it and put in
underneath it so that it was mirrored and with the colours I chose the colour
scheme which was with the paint splatter and once I had gotten the right colour
for them I moved onto adding the text to it which I went with a paint font which
looked very nice and after I had added the text I decided to add the galaxy which I
had created from scratch, the reason I wanted to add it would have to that I
wanted to continue with the space theme so when I added the galaxy in it
instantly made it look a lot better than beforehand. After finishing of the design I
moved onto adding it to the t-shirt and placed it in many different ways to find
the right place so I went with the right arm because I decided the chest didn't
look very nice as I wanted to have a design on the back on t-shirt so that It wasn’t
completely blank.

7. Process – day 6
For the second day for the second week of my production I began with
continuing with making another design for my t-shirt because
yesterday I manage to make it all pretty much and then I needed to get
a brand new mockup for the long sleeve t shirt because I wanted to
see the back of the t shirt. So the first thing which I made today I
wanted to create a text on the back which had the effect that it was
melting because I thought that I was a very good effect and stood out,
so the first thing which I had to do was to find a font which I liked for
the effect and I found a font called “Daniel” which is very nice the
reason which I decided to go with this font would have to be that I
wanted to have a font which looked handwritten so that the melting
effect would look a lot better with is because it looks like they are just
mistakes, also I chose it because I was watching a tutorial which said
that a font which looked handwritten would be the best. After getting
the font I moved onto to making the effect which started off by using
the liquify tool to make the background inside the text was paint and
was dripping. Then once I had managed to make it look realistic I
added the drips at the bottom of some of the text because I wanted to
give it a more realistic look to it, But once I had finished this effect I
realized that it didn’t look as good as I thought it would have so I went
onto another design for the back of the t-shirt which I stumbled onto
the font which looked like a glitch and I placed it on the back of the t-
shirt and then I decided to place the exact same background for the
melting font inside this font and then I added the space on top of it
with the screen selected for the opacity section. After I had added this
I didn’t really like it that much so I decided to use the 3d tool which
gave it a 3d look to it which was very cool, and it actually looks like it
should be there instead of the paint effect text.

8. Process – day 7
For this day I started off by trying to make an exploding so that I could try and
put it onto the back of the t shirt for a another new design, as I couldn't really
think of anything to have on my next t shirt so I just had to think of a new design
as I only have 1 design at the moment which isn't very good so I need to make
sure by the end of this week or the next week I have come up with more designs
so that I don’t have a very minimalist and small amount of designs for my t-
shirts. With the images on the left hand side you can see that with the exploding
planet I made this by getting a texture of dirt of the internet and then once I had
opened it up on Photoshop I used the eliptequel marquee tool to cut a circle out
of the texture and then before I had actually duplicated I had go onto the filter
option and used the spherize option which turns it into a circle which is 3d, after
I had done this I moved onto adding the effect of the exploding it was done by
changing the polar coordinates which turns it to wavy and then I added the wind
effect which gave it the effect of the explosion and I had to duplicate this effect a
few times so that It looked some what realistic. With the coloring section of this
I initially wanted to see what it looked like in black and white but I realized it
didn't look very good so I got rid of it and made it into blue which looked a lot
better, but over all with this planet I don’t think that It looks very good on the t-
shirt because It doesn’t fit in with anything else on the t-shirt which is something
which I was trying to make sure that everything work well with each other and
contrast off each other. The other design which I had thought for this day would
have to be the alien on the back which had the text “Alien” above it which I
initially thought would look good but as I kept on going with it I realized that
they don’t look very good because It is very cartoonish which doesn't work with
the rest of the t-shirt. For this day I don’t think that I will pursue any of the
designs because there are not very good at all and hopefully before I move on
from design I get a few designs which I happy about.

9. Process – day 8
• For the final day of the second week which I had designated for
coming up with a design I first of all thought of a design which
included having a huge box on the middle of the body of the t-shirt
which was filled with the galaxy design which I had made before,
with this design I thought It was very simplistic which put me of the
design because it wasn’t very good at all, and I thought I could do a
lot better so for this day this was pretty much the only design which I
had came up as I couldn't think of any other designs to come up with
which was quite bad as It means I will need to both use the weekend
and the start of the next week to come up with any designs which I
want so that I don’t run out of time with my FMP. So hopefully next
week I have will have come up with many more designs which don’t
need to be actually screen printed or transfer papered because I can
just put the design on the t-shirt and try and make it look like they
should be there. Even though I didn't come up with many other
designs besides this would be that I had seen a lot of different t-shirt
designs on the internet which looked very cool and could take
inspiration from, but beside this design the only other design which I
thought of would have to be that I want to have an astronaut on the
back of the t-shirt with instead of having a human face inside of it I
will try and make it so that I have a creature/alien inside of it so that
it is quite abstract. What I did today will influence for day 9 as I will
need to make sure that I catch up with my designing section of my
work as I have realized I didn't go around my time table which I had
make because the 3rd week should have been the screen printing
section of my work but as I didn't finish all of my designs I have
decided to use this week as well for my clothing designing and also I
am quite relieved as I know that we have an extra week alongside the
one after the week off because of the exams which gives me enough
time to get the photography section of my work and do the effects
which I want on the different poses and models.
Also the lack of work which I managed to
do will definitely have to be completed
by either tomorrow or the by the end of
the week so that I don’t fall behind on
my schedule which has not been
changed because of exams. The work
which will hopefully be done then will be
the long sleeve t-shirt and any other
articles of clothing which I am planning
on making as I want to have a large
range of different things to offer.

10. Process – day 9
For this day I started with trying to come up with a new design for my
t-shirt because I hadn't managed to finish them before the weekend,
so I had to make sure that i had made enough designs for a few
different shirts which I could make but I will only be making around 2-
3 and the rest will be super imposed so that it looks like it is there, So
the first design which I had come up with would be the astronaut
which had the alien inside of it which I thought was very nice because
I had seen a similar image online where they had replaced the human
with a skull and added a load of different effects on it to make it look
abstract. After finishing the effect of having an alien underneath the
helmet I moved onto trying to add multiple different things to for
example mainly the dispersion effect which I thought would look a lot
better than It actually did as it didn't look as good any other image
which I had used this specific effect so I decided against it so I
changed it back, and then used the paint brush effect which gives the
appearance that the image is coming through the paper and then I put
it onto the back of t-shirt with the text “Space” above which I thought
looked very good. This was the first design which I had used with the
astronaut then I came up with a different one which had a huge stripe
on the back of the t-shirt which had the lettering “XO” over and over
again which I thought looked very nice but I also felt like it looked out
of place and I wanted to change it but I didn't have enough time to as
for tomorrow I will need to change the text from the back to the
sleeves of the t-shirts which I think will look a lot better than before
hand. The final thing which I had made for this day would be a
somewhat logo for my brand which I went for a hipster look to it
which I thought looked very nice, even though it is very simplistic it
looks very cool, I decided to make this because with myself wanting to
have text on the sleeves which reads “Space Autopsy” I wanted to
have this logo between the two words.

11. Process – day 10
For today I continued with the designing section of my work as I have not yet finished
my work for the stage which I am hoping to be at by the end of the week so for today I
started off by going through different articles of clothing which I had collected through a
website called behance which has free mockups to offer which lets you edit a certain
article of clothing of choice which Is what I have done, so the articled of clothing which I
began with would have the be the shoes which are Nike Air max 97s, the reason which I
started with these would have to be that they where the only pair of shoes which you
could download a free mockup of and also I felt like with these shoes I could show the
coloring of a lot better than other shoes as there is such a large canvas for design, the
main thing which I wanted to do would have to be the once again making sure that I
stick with the galaxy and space theme and with this shoe I think that it has gone well so
far with the different elements of the shoe which can be changed to your liking but I
have realized something which will effect the use of this shoe on my FMP would have to
be that there is the Nike logo as well as the text which says “Air” which I cannot seem to
manage to remove which is a big problem because It will mean I will need to find a way
around this. Something else which I had done for the different articles would be a snap
back hat which I once again downloaded of behance, with the design of this hat I used
the logo which I had made the day before and in my personal opinion I think the first
hat on the left looks very good in comparison to the other as with the bottom section of
the hat I couldn't manage to get the image which I wanted on it with out it looking
really weird and strange so I feel like if I where to use either of them would have to be
the left one because I don’t like the other one. Finally I came up with a design for a
hoodie which started of my making a pattern which I put text inside of pattern which
looked very nice which used different brushes which I had collected of the internet and
then once I had placed it onto the hoodie I decided to take the exact brush to make it
but this time I used it to erase the straight edges around the design so that It didn't look
out of place. This work which I have done will influence for the next college day because
as I am not in college tomorrow but I will still try and do some more things tomorrow
but incase I don’t I will try and make sure that I complete the designs that I am satisfied
with and if I for some reason don’t manage to finish them I will use the weekend and
the week of which we have given.

12. Process – day 11
For the last day of the 3rd week I started by continuing with
creating different articles of clothing, I began with getting a brand
new mock-up of another shoe because It was a lot easier to get my
own branding onto it as with the mock-up they gave you different
layers which where customisable to your own needs so you could
change the brand on the back of it as well as the text which is on
the middle section of the shoe this is good my FMP because it
helps me to make this shoe my own. Once I had finished this I went
back to trying to get rid of the branding on the other which I had
started with because before hand I didn’t really know how to get
rid of the branding until ayrton told me to use the clone stamp tool
which massively helped me because with the clone stamp tool you
can select a section of the texture of the shoe which I had chosen
and then paint with that which gave me the ability to add my very
own branding to it as well as the different text which I would like to
appear on the shoe also today with getting rid of the branding it
gave the ability to actually fully customizing the shoe to go with
the brand and the theme which would be space and galaxy also
the text which I have decided to put on the shoe would have to be
the word “Infinite” but I have decided to put it into the predator
text which you cannot understand and that I why I have decided to
put the infinite sign instead of the Nike tick.
