This lesson plan introduces the letters M and N to elementary school students using Total Physical Response (TPR) methods. Over the course of a 40 minute class, the teacher will lead warm-up activities reviewing previous letters and play clips to familiarize students with the sounds and shapes of M and N. Students will complete worksheets practicing writing, coloring, and tracing the uppercase and lowercase versions of each letter along with associated words. The class will conclude with a review song and assigning homework for the next session.
