 Teaching Approach: The lesson is based on the Communicative approach
organized through the PPP procedure
 Materials and resources: audio, picture, class´s book , clay, pencils colors,
color paper
 Seating arrangement: Students are seating in groups
 Cooperative work: Cooperative work is a challenging aim at this stage
because children of this age are not used to listening to and accepting other
opinions, it is an everyday work. For this class students will re requested to
perform some number draws in groups.
 Possible problems/ difficulties and their possible solutions during the
class: They may not understand the storytelling. This first grade course is a bit
noisy and it takes some time to be quiet in silence therefore for what I have
watched I think I will have to be patient and persistent to improve their
behavior. Collaborative work might be a bit challenge for this group however
they have completed group tasks
 Potential problems students may have with the language: They might not
understand the instructions in the target language and the new vocabulary.
They might not understand the significance of the numbers and quantities.
There might be too much vocabulary for them to store in their memory.
 Routine 10´:
Purpose:tobeginwiththe lessonandhelpstudentstocalmdown andfocuson Englishlanguage

  • 1. 1 1 I.F.D.C. LENGUAS VIVAS TALLER DE PRÁCTICA DOCENTE ALUMNO RESIDENTE: Miriam Novillo Hall Período de Práctica: 2nd to 30th August (prácticas) Institución Educativa: Instituto Modelo Viedma Dirección: María de los Ángeles Barbosa. Maestro Chirinos 750 Viedma Río Negro Sala / Grado / Año - sección: Primer Grado Cantidad de alumnos: 32 Nivel lingüístico del curso: Principiantes Tipo de Planificación: Clase Unidad Temática: The numbers and the weather Clase Nº: 3 Fecha: 30 de agosto de 2017 Hora: 9:20 a 10:40 hs Duración de la clase: 80 minutos Fecha de entrega: 27 de agosto de 2017 Teaching points: The numbers from one to ten introducing the weather It’s sunny / windy/ rainy / cold / cloudy/warm/hot/windy)  Aims or goals: Duringthislessonstudentswill be able to. - Express their mood. - Students will be able to understand that one number can only be assigned to one object or objects. - Students will be able to count from one to ten and model numbers. - Develop their listening skills by listening to the teacher and a recording to pronounce the target language. - Improve their knowledge of commands such as “listen, be quiet, stop, let´s start, repeat after me, silence” at the beginning, during and at the end of the class.  Teaching points:
  • 2. 2 2 Lexis Function Structure Pronunciation Revision Greetings Mood Shapes Colors Animals Greeting Recognize basic instructions How are you today? What isthe weather like today? What´s the date New Animals: Swam, bat, flamingos, dragons Soldiers, cocoons, boomerang, snowmen, kites, forks, plates Identify objests How many? There is/there are  Teaching Approach: The lesson is based on the Communicative approach organized through the PPP procedure  Materials and resources: audio, picture, class´s book , clay, pencils colors, color paper  Seating arrangement: Students are seating in groups  Cooperative work: Cooperative work is a challenging aim at this stage because children of this age are not used to listening to and accepting other opinions, it is an everyday work. For this class students will re requested to perform some number draws in groups.  Possible problems/ difficulties and their possible solutions during the class: They may not understand the storytelling. This first grade course is a bit noisy and it takes some time to be quiet in silence therefore for what I have watched I think I will have to be patient and persistent to improve their behavior. Collaborative work might be a bit challenge for this group however they have completed group tasks  Potential problems students may have with the language: They might not understand the instructions in the target language and the new vocabulary. They might not understand the significance of the numbers and quantities. There might be too much vocabulary for them to store in their memory.  Routine 10´: Purpose:tobeginwiththe lessonandhelpstudentstocalmdown andfocuson Englishlanguage subjectinorderto start working. Afterthe observationperiodIhadinsightof theirroutine when the class begins.
