Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

In this podcast there is two host. There is an intro then
some music. All of these podcast is the two presenters
just talking about stories of the artist. It then changes
to another presenter who is promoting black artist
and how you can support then through black history
month its like an advert. After the adverts they start
talking about there concerts and who they used to
work together. These podcast tend to last 30-45
minutes which I think can be a bit long and can get
boring quickly if I was to this I would include snippets
of songs we was talking about this would make the

In the beginning there's a little jingle and the host
introduces himself he tells them about history of the
band/artists and there most famous song. The music
in the background tends to be the type of music the
artist sing and produce. The main aim in this podcast
is talking about how to make an album and how
much work goes into it and the problems they end
up facing. they use little snippets of there songs. The
conversation just flow there is no script they just talk
and talk and the subject changes on its own. They
then talk about how they counted corona vires and
how they manged to make songs and there album
bye going on zoom and talking about why didn’t we
think about doing it sooner. The use of the
atmosphere being quite while talking to playing a
snippet of a song which makes it entertaining and
draws the listener in to see how they made it like
that.

– I will include and introduction of me and my guest then play a little jingle
before starting the first segment
– I will try do it so the convo will just flow with no script but will have a thing
