Cultural Influences Of The Filipino Culture
Culture The Filipino culture has a variety of cultural influences. Most of their cultural influneces come
from past colonizations of Ameirca and Spain. In spite of all the influences, the older Asian culture of
the Filipinos has been kept and is clearly seen in their way of life. The Filipino culture has become
very evident and has largely been appreciated in many parts of the world. Filipinos are very passionate
of their music. They use a variety of materials to create sound. They also enjoy performing dances and
singing in groups during celebrations. The settlers from Spain introduced the Filipinos to a variety of
musical instruments such as: trumpets, drums and violins. Most of their music is modern and written
based on real life events. Religion About 83% of the population is Catholic (Spector, 2013). Most
Filipinos are deeply religious and God fearing people, they often associate their health with God. They
belive that diseases and illnesses are the will of God. When Filipino patients are give a poor prognosis,
they will continue to hope for a cure, regardless of the problem. This type of reaction is why some of
Filipino patients are tolerant and often suffer in silence. Ethnicity Some of the main ethnic groups of
the Philippines are the Tagalog s, Cebuano, Ilocano, Bisaya, Hiligaynon Ilonggo, Bicol, and Warays.
The Tagalog s are one of the main ethnic groups, they consist of 28.1% of the population (2000,

The high percentages of workload vs. those lectures in college are proved to endorse greater amounts
of stress and work to be completed at home leading to the result of academic dishonesty. High
expectations of grades and attendance also influence the rise in academic dishonesty. The college
teaching style changed just as the grading systems. The excessive use and enforcement of the GPA

Yearly Goals For Achieving Personal Fitness
Yearly Goals At times, we may question the source of our true motivation. Moreover, what may keep
us going and guided in life? Goals play an important role in every aspect of our everyday lives. A goal
is defined as the object of a person s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result . A goal may be as
simple as buying some milk or as complex as buying stocks and shares. A clear, attainable goal can
persuade the most unmotivated person. Upon taking Personal Fitness, I had an idea of how I could
utilize the class to better my physical fitness. Therefore, I set goals to help me improve and ultimately
guide me through the course of the semester. Furthermore, my current goals are to increase my muscle
mass (muscle strength/endurance workouts 2 days per week) and improve my physical fitness (speed,
strength, endurance, etc..). I chose these goals in order to better my overall cardiorespiratory

The Native Americans And The Europeans
When the Europeans conquered the Native Americans; both groups had little understanding of each
other, especially their cultures. The Native Americans had a rich through history that allowed them to
be almost as developed as the Europeans. However, the Europeans overlooked this because the Native
Americans had not established the same man made medical and agricultural developments as the
Europeans. Conversely, the Native Americans thought that the Europeans were too concerned with
dead objects, and took their land for granted. There are many controversial debates over who was
worse: the Native Americans or the Europeans, yet, it s evident that warfare, ritual torture, and cruelty
were apparent in both societies. The Europeans had not known what the Native Americans had
achieved, and the struggles they d overcome. The history of the Native Americans began in Siberia.
Many scholars hypothesize that the first Americans came from Siberia and traveled into Alaska. The
colder climate of the Ice Age made an ice bridge across what is now the Bering Strait. Unfortunately,
the bridge started to melt without warning, causing the people in Alaska to become trapped. A group
of Native Americans known as today s Navajo and Apache came to the rescue when their construction
of boats advanced and allowed them to be durable enough to travel across the strait. These Athabascan
speaking people traveled from Canada and later reached the American southwest. The Paleo Indians

performed the abortions. Women activists were upset about abortions being illegal because women
were going to the black market to get abortions by unlicensed doctors. Many different methods have
been used to carry out abortions. In 1965, illegal abortions were responsible for one sixth of all
pregnancy and childbirth related deaths. Sharp objects, herbs, hangers, and other means were used to
perform abortions. On January 22, 1973, having an abortion became legal in the United States and
could not be denied to any women. The Supreme Court decision in the Roe vs. Wade case protected
women s rights. This case caused a major turning point on the abortion issue and the government. Roe

Two attorneys proceeded to represent Norma McCorvey, and in order to protect her identity they gave
her the pseudonym Jane Roe . The attorneys who represented McCorvey were Sarah Weddington and
Linda Coffee, and the defending district attorney was Henry Wade. On March 3, 1970, Linda Coffee
filed the lawsuit, Roe vs Wade against the state of Texas. Two years later, in 1973, Roe won the
lawsuit against the state of Texas. The Supreme Court made abortions legal in the United States, The
court held that a woman s right to an abortion fell within the right to privacy protected by the
Fourteenth Amendment. The decision gave a woman total autonomy over the pregnancy during the
first trimesters. Forty six states were affected by the Supreme Court s decision to legalize abortion.
Women were able to make the decision about their own body, and they could decide to have an
abortion if they wanted to within the first three months of a pregnancy. People who were pro choice
were very excited, but it also created a lot of controversy among people who were pro life and the
Catholic Church.

Social Values in King Lear
In King Lear, Shakespeare portrays a society whose emphasis on social class results in a strict social
hierarchy fueled by the unceasing desire to improve one s social status. It is this desire for improved
social status that led to the unintentional deterioration of the social hierarchy in King Lear. This desire
becomes so great that Edmund, Goneril, Reagan and Cornwall were willing to act contrary to the
authority of the social hierarchy for the betterment of their own position within it. As the plot unfolds,
the actions of the aforementioned characters get progressively more desperate and destructive as they
realize their lack of success in attaining their personal goals. The goals vary, however the selfish
motivation does not. With ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also tells Edgar that Cornwall is not pleased with him over a dispute between Albany and Cornwall
that Edgar knows nothing about. He then urges Edgar to flee just before he lies to Gloucester about
Edgar s intent. Gloucester, believing Edmund s lies condemns Edgar to death and promises Edmund
his lordship. Edmund, having disposed of his brother and securing his eventual reward sees an
opportunity to acquire his land and status a little more swiftly. When Gloucester flees to help Lear he
entrusts Edmund with ensuring Cornwall does not discover Gloucester s plans and the location of
letter regarding an imminent French invasion. Edmund immediately betrays his father and shows
Cornwall the letter, making him believe Gloucester is working for the French. Gloucester is soon after
discovered and brought before Cornwall and Reagan. While Gloucester is being blinded by Cornwall,
Edmund is busy courting Goneril outside of her palace. Edmund decides to double his chances of
becoming King by courting Reagan as well. Edmund s final act of treachery occurs when he gives
orders to the Captain to hang Lear and Cordelia. He lies even in his dying breath as he stalls in order

Marcus Brutus Reputation
Marcus Brutus was a man who gave his life for the best of Rome. He killed himself just so fewer
people would die in the war between Rome and the Rebels. This showed that he was honorable, noble,
and had integrity. He was one of the only conspirators willing to lay down his life for the good of
Rome. Brutus wife even killed herself yet Brutus still stood strong. This showed that he had his heart
set on protecting Rome from Caesar no matter what it took. Because of this, he was honored for his
nobility. Brutus was willing to give his life to better Rome. He knew that if he killed Caesar, (someone
who was popular with the people), he would be hunted down if he couldn t convince the people that
what he was doing was for the best. Brutus ended up using logos in his speech, which was
overpowered by Antony s speech that included pathos. This causes a manhunt to find and kill all of the
conspirators. The crowd had mob mentality so very little could be done to convince them that what the
conspirators did was for the best of Rome. Brutus at this point decides it would be better to kill
himself than to be killed by his own people. At the end, when the Roman army ... Show more content

Brief Overview Of The Accounting Industry
Brief Overview of the Accounting Industry
The accounting industry generates annual revenue of approximately $145 billion by providing
services such as auditing, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation. With over 125,000 service
providers in the United States, the industry is dominated by the Big Four accounting firms of Deloitte,
Ernst Young, KPMG, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Due to the industry s role in an increasingly
complex business environment, accounting services are highly contingent on implications from
regulatory bodies. As a result, the competitive landscape of the industry is dependent on a firm s
ability to provide the right mix of services in view of a client s business and compliance needs. [First
Research] Firms that are able to meet the demands of the marketplace by providing specialized and
superior services are able to achieve higher profitability rates than its competitors.

Weimar Republic Vs Germany Essay
The Weimar Republic and Germany s response which followed it are both stages of Germany s
intricate history that cannot be understood on their own. Both periods of Germany s history have a
commonality in their being brought on by the rippling effects of the Treaty of Versailles. This treaty
was imposed on the German Empire at the final stages of the first World War. In an irregular way,
considering the weight of the treaty, the Treaty of Versailles was signed among a group of national
leaders which lacked German representation; this non German group of people, in a single day,
wrongly castrated Germany. Ignited by the reactions to the assassination of the Archduke of Austria
Hungary, Franz Ferdinand, the first World War was a war much unlike the wars before it. For the first
time in world history, war ascended from a matter between two or so bickering nations to a
pancontinental struggle resulting in a degree of devastation not seen in the past. Due to the
complicated and tangled alliance system put into place by the German statesman, Otto Von Bismarck,
the combatants of the war were divided into two opposing factions: The Allied Powers and the Central
Powers. Among the Allied Powers were nations such as France, the British Empire, Italy, Russia, and
the United States of America. On the Allied Power s opposition, ... Show more content on

Within the medical community you never want to hear about a doctor or nurse that received just in
time medical training before performing a procedure. However, we actually do this more often that
people realize. For instance, before I deployed to Iraq back in 2009, the U.S. Navy sent me to L.A.
County hospital for three weeks to obtain more trauma experience. Then when the week weeks were
over I was sent to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to receive just in time tactical training. While at
Camp Lejeune we did not focus on anything medical. Instead, we focused on how to shot pistols, how
to egress from a rolled over High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, pronounced
hum vee ), and how to evade capture from enemy forces. At the time, I was not thinking in terms of
just in time training, however, that is exactly what both of those training evolutions were. Within my
next assignment, I might not be responsible for providing trauma or tactical training to nurses and
doctors, but I will be responsible for providing training programs that will save the lives of our
patients. That is why these last two weeks have been extremely valuable. I will now be more capable
of providing training that is user focused and efficient, challenging yet not over the heads of the
learners, and centered around what is best for the overall patient

Safety And Gas Field Operations Facility And Review Work...
If I were to walk in to a randomly selected oil and gas field operations facility and review work
interactions and procedures for 15 minutes, would I be able to adequately address the safety culture
within the building? To add more information, let s say I was required to sign in and was given a quick
evacuation briefing. Further, all employees were wearing appropriate PPE and Safety First signs were
prominently hung on the walls for all to see. With the given, after 15 minutes of work observation,
would I then be able to adequately make an observation? To bring this situational scenario to a close,
let s say the facility in question was my own Oklahoma City facility. The answer regarding an
adequate evaluation is I would only be observing the safety climate at that given time, not the overall
safety culture.
Safety culture has taken on many varieties of definitions since the term first appeared in 1986 but a
version I particularly identify with is as follows: A set of values, perceptions, attitudes and patterns of
behavior with regard to safety shared by members of the organization; as well as a set of policies,
practices and procedures relating to the reduction of employee s exposure to occupational risks,
implemented at every level of the organization, and reflecting a high level of concern and commitment
to the prevention of accidents and illnesses. (Fernandez Muniz et al., 2007, p. 628)

Diversity Judicial System Analysis
In this essay I will define what is judiciary and be discussing the statement that there is a strong case
for more diverse judiciary. Not only should there be equality of opportunity for those entitled to apply
. I will discuss about the judiciary that reflect the diversity and legal profession as whole, make
reference to the role of the judiciary, their selection, and training.
Judiciary is a system that interprets and execute the laws in the state, the role of the judiciary is to
supervise the conduct of a trial, sole arbiter of legal issues, has the power to deal with civil cases and
decide the result, interpret and clarify the law, has the right to deal with criminal cases and to sum up
to the jury and to pass sentence on those who plead guilty or have been convicted.
For many centuries the House of Lords was the supreme court of appeal for the entire UK in civil
cases and for England, Wales and Northern Ireland in criminal case. There are three types of legal
system in the United Kingdom and these are executive, government and legislature; one each for

Change in Government in Europe from Around 1400-1815
Government in Europe changed a lot from 1400 1815. Government changed from an organized system
sharing land called feudalism, to absolutism: governing from the divine right of kings to enlightened
absolutism all the way to the French Revolution. England had its own history and type of government
and didn t change exactly with the majority of Europe. In order to effectively trace the change in
Government in Europe from 1400 1800, going back a little bit is necessary. Feudalism developed
around the 8th century, but did not reach Europe really until the 10th century. It began to develop in
France, and then spread to Spain, Italy, and later Germany and Eastern Europe. It then extended
eastward into Slavic lands to the marches which were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By me princes rule and nobles even all the judges of the earth. Romans 13: 1 also helped support the
idea which states Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God:
the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisted the power resisted the ordinance
of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. Having a monarch rule by the
divine right enforced people to obey their government since religion was heavily enforced during
these periods of time. A great example of an absolute monarch that ruled by the divine right of kings
was Louis XIV of France. Louis s exact words were I am the state which represents his absolute
power. Louis s Absolutism was said to help with France s stability and peaceful state of affairs. Louis
XIV strongly believed in a centralized government. Because of the increase in human knowledge and
the protestant reformation, the idea of divine right of kings begins to lose more and more supporters.
The English revolution (also referred to as the English civil war) was to some extent, caused by the
bad relationship between Charles I and parliament. Charles I and his supporters wanted to lessen

Analysis Of The Play Hamilton
The play Hamilton by Lin Manuel Miranda brings the founding fathers back to life with a lot of hip
hop. It all started when Miranda, a writer, composer, and performer, was asked to perform at the White
House centered on the American experience. The White House expected him to perform something
based on his own Latin American experience, but Miranda had something else in mind. Few months
prior, Miranda was on vacation with his girlfriend when he started to read a biography on Alexander
Hamilton by Ron Chernow. Miranda was seized by the story of Hamilton. He was instantly inspired to
create a work chronicling Hamilton s life. He started to see Hamilton s relentlessness, ambition,
intelligence, and stubbornness through his own ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Monteiro states how she has seen the play, and loved it as a whole, but there were many issues with
how history was conveyed. Monteiro goes on to explain how the play does a lot of a thing called
Founders chic as a representational strategy. She points out that the play tried to represent founders as
relatable, cool guys. For example, the Founders chic strategy downplayed the involvement of the
Founding Fathers in slavery. The play did mention how slavery existed, and how Alexander Hamilton
was in opposition to it, but we had no idea on how his attitude was when he was a boy growing up in
the Caribbean. Alexander Hamilton worked on slave ship, making the chances that he was one
favorable to it a possibility. Miranda s point in contrast to that was to showcase the emotions rather
than substance. He was trying to image Alexander Hamilton s life, and how abolition of slavery was a
big part of shaping his life. In contrast to the idea of the play having inaccurate historical facts,
Miranda tried to make the play relatable to the people to really showcase Alexander Hamilton s life.
Miranda used the bootstraps narrative to help portray that. He talks about how Hamilton reminded him
of his own father, Luis A. Miranda, Jr., who, as a graduated from college before turning eighteen, who
then moved to New York to pursue his studies. In Review: Hamilton, Young Rebels Changing History
and Theater by Ben Brantley, he states how

Odysseus And Amari And Epic Hero Journeys In The Odyssey...
Every now and then we read different stories, but we see the same things. In the Odyssey and Copper
Sun, the two main characters, Odysseus and Amari, shared the same qualities and Epic Hero journeys.
They had many obstacles and tribulations, but they worked through them to make it to their
destination. Odysseus and Amari have many similarities as well as differences. When an epic hero,
like Amari and Odysseus, has the opportunity to face the unknown, or has a crisis, and has something
to gain, this starts the beginning of their journey called The Call. During this period, the heroes go
through things, in their eyes, that is unimaginable or wasn t expected. Odysseus s call was more
voluntary and exciting than Amari s call because his Call was when he won the Trojan War and could
return home after ten years. Amari s Call was when she and a few others from her tribe were captured
and taken as slaves after her family was killed and her village destroyed. Odysseus had a choice but
Amari did not. Before The Call , Amari and Odysseus characteristics affected and predestined their
journey. Two epic hero qualities, Noble Birth and Cultural Legend, set up Amari and Odysseus path.
Odysseus Noble Birth quality was that he was the son of Laertes, a hero, and his Cultural Legend was
being a war hero and the King of Ithaca. Amari s Noble Birth quality was that her family was
considered royalty because her father was an elder of her tribe, Ewe, he was a favored storyteller, and
her family was skilled weavers. Her Cultural Legend couldn t be fulfilled because she was to inherit
the family business of weaving. Although Amari didn t become a Cultural Legend, they both had
purpose due to their family s high rank in their culture. The next stage in an epic hero s journey is The
Threshold. This is where the hero takes off and meets helpers and mentors along the way. Odysseus
threshold was when Zeus guards and guides him, blessing him or punishing him for his actions. Amari
s Threshold was when she got on the slave ships to sail to America, meeting a mentor named Afi, who
encourages her and helps her through their long journey across the seas. She also meets a man named
Bill who helped her escape nights from abuse and

Chapter One Introduction
1. Back ground
In present competitive world and business environment things would not move in a steady way and as

Thus, it is more important now than at any time in the history of marketing to really understand your
target market and to let this understanding drive not only your marketing decisions, but the entire
decision making framework of the company. (Hiebing Cooper, 2004:4).
Since the preference of customers vary from time to time and meeting their needs, wants and
expectation is an impressive challenge to service providers, strategic thinking of marketing could be
the best way to find the right track as competition is stiffer than the past trend. One to this developing
marketing strategy is crucial in business firms and as Orville C.Walker, Jr., et,al explained the primary
focus of marketing strategy is to effectively allocate and coordinate marketing resources and activities
to accomplish the firms objectives with in a specific product market. Therefore, the critical issue
concerning the scope of a marketing strategy is specifying the target market(s) for a particular product

Short Essay On Poodles
The Poodle is about beauty and smarts an exceptional combination for this dog breed. They are active,
highly trainable, sociable, and like to please their owner. Their coat is hypoallergenic for those who
love dogs but who are allergic to shedding.
The History of Poodles
The origin of the Poodles can be traced back to Germany where the dog breed was known as the
Pudelhund. The word Pudel means to splash in water while the word Hund means dog. Before the
modern day, Poodles were hunting dogs specialized in retrieving objects in the water. The puffs of hair
that surrounded their joints kept them warm in cold waters.

Downsides of Poodles
Before you get a Poodle, take into consideration several things that can affect your time and money.
1. Poodles are one of the dog breeds that require very high maintenance. Their curly coat needs to be
clipped regularly every six to eight weeks. They are considered the most expensive dogs in terms of
grooming. This is because Poodles have hair coats rather than fur. Hair coats are hypoallergenic and
rarely shed, but which grow continuously.
2. Poodles are naturally proud and smart. The combination of the two can sometimes lead to
stubbornness. Train them as early as you can so they will grow up to be well mannered dogs.
3. Poodles love to socialize and please other people. Do not expect them to be alright when you leave
at home for long periods. Lack of socialization can prevent Poodles from becoming well adjusted
dogs. Let them join in family activities such as soccer practice, dress up play or

1.2 Venture Capital: a light of hope for the SMEs
Venture capital(VC), which is known as the risk investment, shows significant role in promoting the
SMEs in raising finance. VC includes business angel financing, relationship lending and so on. All of
them are good choices for SMEs, specifically for the small and medium companies which are just
starting up.(Dagogo, 2009) Venture capital is the fuel for high potential growth firms, especially in the
United States. New venture survival is tenuous at best, but those backed by venture capitalists tend to
achieve a higher survival rate than those that are not. said by Robert(2010), moreover, in his study

China Of A Bloody Terrorism
5.1 Chinese Investments in the Construction Market In the aftermath of a bloody terrorism period that
the country had to go through in the 90 s until the early 2000s, Algeria embarked on a reconstruction
program to revive its old and outdated infrastructure, offering the traditional trade partner the
opportunity to become an increasingly important investor in the country. Today Algeria has become
one of the biggest markets for China s overseas construction contractors, as hundreds of Chinese
companies are undertaking in the country various construction projects. Starting out with low cost
housing projects, Chinese companies quickly moved to secure multi million and billion construction

Margaret Atwood
Happy Ending by Margaret Atwood is a truly unique story. This story is unique not because of the
dialog, but because of the multiple endings that are within the story. The story follows the life of John
and Mary. It is up to the reader to decide the life that John and Mary live. The reader can determine
whether or not John and Mary have a happy life together or a complicated life together. However, no
madder what choice the reader may chose, the story always ends the same way. Each of the endings

It is true that both John and Mary fall in love and enter symbiotic relationship. However, just because
the reader gets a cookie cutter happy ending that doesn t necessarily mean that it is the best ending.
For instance, story A, the happy ending, is very short compared to the other stories. It dose not give
the reader enough time to form a connection to the characters before they die. While on the other
hand, story B, the sadder ending, is much longer and gives the reader a connection to the character
Mary.
Story B is the sadder ending and focuses more on Mary. The relationship between Mary and John is
far from happy. Mary does absolutely everything for John. Mary cooks, cleans, and even lets john
have his way with her. John doesn t even acknowledge all the sacrifice that Mary puts into their
relationship. Not only dose John show no affection towards Mary, He gives it all his affection to
another woman he sees behind Mary s back. The drama of the whole situation is too much to bear for
Mary. Mary devises a plan to overdose on all of her household medicine and have John take her to the
hospital. Sadly John doesn t even care enough to take her to the hospital. Margaret Atwood did a

The Power Of Perceptions In Robert Frost s Poetry
Discoveries can have a profound impact on an individual that can result in renewed perspectives of
themselves and the world.
The emotional responses conveyed in texts position individuals to re evaluate their perceptions of
themselves and their world, which in turn provoke intellectual and spiritual discoveries and or in turn
allow us to gain a shift in perspective.
The discoveries embedded within Robert Frost s poems, Fire and Ice and A Tuft of Flowers , coupled
with the poem Mirror by Sylvia Plath, explore the emotive power of the search for human connection
and desire to find meaning in an impermanent universe.
Frost s anecdotal poem Fire and Ice, challenges the perceptions of responders, positioning them to
consider the significance of character and behaviour as defining forces in our world. Fire and ice
metaphorically alludes to the power of human relationships and their ability to be potentially
destructive. The rhyme of twice , ice and suffice have ominous overtones, suggesting that the failure
of one force will only ensure the operation of another. The responder is challenged by the
personification of the natural forces, fire and ice, in invoking the end of the world, as it creates a
tangible sense of fear which is reinforced through the personas suggestion that either option can
potentially suffice causing them to morbidly contemplate their options. The ultimate insignificance of
man in the all powerful world is discovered through,
but if I had to perish twice. Frost s personal reflection through the use of personal pronoun
I adds a morbid tone by personalising death.
Through his simplistically deceptive form, Frost creates a dichotomy, juxtaposing the paradoxical
elements fire and ice which are symbolic of associated character traits, ice representing deliberation,
whereas fire is connotated as desire and passion. Moreover, fire and ice represent the two sides of the
human mind, ice as a metaphorical representation of rationality or intellect, and fire symbolic of
emotion. Furthermore, Frost s change in tense from tasted to know suggests that his current familiarity
of hate is the consequence of experiencing desire, thus he is exposed to the ability of the contradictory
emotions

The Importance Of Sustainable Tourism
Sustainable tourism development merges environmental concerns with economic policy (Dresner, S.
2008: 69) and allows for tourism s products in the form of intangible services or the natural
environment, to be environmentally cautious through a responsible trade off between production and
use of assets. Some influences apparent are environmental, social, and economical and it is further
important to emphasize that one or a combination of the aspects, with market cooperation, creates a
sustainable agenda. Travel services are increasingly seen as less of a luxury good and more as an
everyday purchase (Page, 2003:3) due to marketing becoming more prominent which means
organisations must complete vigorous promotion strategies for long term viability. Marketing
therefore has a highly important role, as Holloway (2004) explains marketing understands the needs
and wants of customers, to what can be sold, to whom, when, where and in what quantities (Holloway
J.C. 2004:7). Holloway (2004) writes that successful organisations anticipate demand recognising it,
stimulating it and finally satisfying it (Holloway, J.C. 2004: 7). Marketing is absolutely crucial within
creating and maintaining a sustainable agenda in a variety of ways, moreover reference to consistency
among stages of development, unique benefits produced from varied strategies, relevancy of market
research, adapting to changing market demand and the positive outcome of identifying new markets.

Essay On The Request Deal
Today, the request deal is a fundamental piece of the criminal equity framework. The considerable
dominant part of charges, more than 90 percent in numerous purviews, are settled through some sort
of supplication deal, called a plea bargain. The Seventh Amendment of the Bill of Rights systematized
it as a basic piece of Americans freedoms. At the point when large amounts of criminals were gotten
and charged, the legislature experienced a trial and decision. However, in the 1800s, a pattern toward
supplication started. A request deal is an arranged understanding for a criminal respondent whereby he
or she consents to confess in return for a greater result. This result might be the dropping of extra
charges.
A jury trial was often ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Plea bargains can also be called plea agreements where the prosecution come together to make
agreements to say if you plead guilty we ll do this and vice versa. Bradley gave away his right to
appeal, attack or motion against any punishment or fine given unto him by the courts. Now in courts
there is more pressure that influences the plea bargaining deals. Prosecutors do not have the time to go
through a broad trial for each case, regardless of whether it a winnable case for the prosecutor.
Current Law
Numerous criminal cases are settled through a request deal, typically a long time before trial. In a plea
deal, the defendant consents to confess to at least one charges, regularly to a lesser accusation than one
for which the litigant could stand trial in return for a more tolerant sentence with the goal that specific
related charges are rejected. The right to create a plea bargain is not given to the state which means
one state does not have the right to prohibit it either. One exceptions to states power is Alaska, The
Attorney general banned plea bargaining. Him banning was not that big of a deal back then because
not that many people were making plea deals there, and it s still not a problem now because Alaska
prosecutors still don t have backloads and overloads of cases to settle. Outside of what some critics
may say about this controversial idea, most

Relationship Between Friendship Quality And The Amount Of...
Friendship quality in connection to time spent with romantic partner Humans are naturally a social
species (Furman, 1999). People engage in different types of relationships throughout their entire lives.
Certain relationships are lifelong, others maybe just a day or even a few seconds. Among those longer
lasting relationships, are friendships and romantic relationships. Nearly all people can relate to both at
some point in life, however, do the two ever intermix? Based upon personal experience, I have found
it can be problematic to balance both types of relationships. Friends of mine have dedicated much time

As part of the study, the boys were asked to rate the quality of their friendships. In support of positive
friendships, it was found that the boys who were in the resilience category had higher friendship
ratings than those that were not able to overcome hardships. Leading one to believe the support given
by the excellent friends helped the kids overcome the adversity. Girls also prove friendship to be
supportive through life. Researchers found that although girls and boys tend to approach offering
support in different ways, having a support system through friends develops an emotional closeness
(Rose, Smith, Glick, Schwartz Mette, 2016). Furthermore, friendships have also been noted to make
an impact on what college students contribute their success to (Killoren, Streit, Alfaro, Delgado,
Johnson, 2016). Additional benefits to friendships have been distinguished through research as well.
Throughout a lifetime, friendships adapt and change based upon developmental phases and transitions
(Hartup Stevens, 1997). In this way, friendships are flexible and essentially ever changing. An
advantage to having enduring friendships is ensuring a sense of an overall well being in addition to
what has already been stated. Moreover, aside from friendship contributing to psychological and
mental health, friendship also provides advantages to physical health. Friendships provide social
support that reduces stress levels

Artificial Neural Network Advantages And Disadvantages
ABSTRACT An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is an information processing paradigm that is
inspired by the way biological nervous systems, such as the brain, process information [1]. Artificial
Neural Networks (ANN) also called neuro computing, or parallel distributed processing (PDP),
provide an alternative approach to be applied to problems where the algorithmic and symbolic
approaches are not well suited. The objective of the neural network is to transform the inputs into
meaningful outputs. There are many researches which show that brain store information as pattern.
Some of these patterns are very complicated and allows us to recognize from different angles. This
paper gives a review of the artificial neural network and analyses the techniques in terms of
performance. Keywords ANN, PDP, ITNN, CPN, CNN, CCNN, HN, TSP, RNN, Bi ANN, CDR, LRN
INTRODUCTION The objective of the neural network is to transform the input to meaningful output.
Neural networks are often used for statistical analysis and data modeling. Neural network has many
uses in data processing, robotics, and medical diagnosis [2]. From the starting of the neural network
there are various types found, but each and every types has some advantages and disadvantages. Deep
learning and neural network software are the categories of artificial neural network. The parallel
process also allows ANNs to process the large amount of data very efficiently. The artificial neural

BARRY HUMPHRIES narrates and he does it beautifully. The animation perfectly suits the story, it

Causes And Consequences Of Global Warming
The Global Issue
Over the years, the increasing concern over how and where our planet is going to be in the next couple
of decades, has been a significant debate to many. With the steady increase of fossil fuels being
released into our atmosphere, and the high cost that our planet is having to pay in order to support and
to sustain such an exponentially growing population, are we still surprised over the consequences?
Connecting everyone from one side of the world to the other, Global Warming is a global problem that
includes everybody regardless of where you live in the world or how much money you possess. It has
also become a demanding task that requires the participation of every human being, since everyone
can ultimately still decrease their carbon footprint on the world. Global warming is the observed
overall statistical increase in the average temperature of the Earth s atmosphere and oceans over the
years, (Miller, 2006). Being one of the most important issues facing the world today, this subject has
become life or death for our planet. With the average temperature increasing dramatically every year,
consequences such as the greenhouse effect, which is the outcome of large amounts of CO2 emissions
into the atmosphere by human civilizations, has largely impacted ecosystems ranging all the way from
the ocean and marine life to even the most complex organisms, human beings. Acting as a positive
feedback loop, a lot of the things that we do, whether it s opening up a refrigerator that contain CFC s
or even just getting a plastic bag from a grocery store, are contributing to the weakening of our ozone
layer, and to the steady increase of greenhouse gases being released into the air. Plastic is probably
one of the most detrimental materials that has ever been manufactured. With the world now using
approximately six hundred billion pounds of plastic, plastic has become the familiar cheap material
that we all know and come across multiple times a day. Materials like the plastic bag, zip lock bag,
and plastic water bottles, have all been manufactured to be single use items that are used and thrown
away over and over again. Yet unlike paper litter, when plastic bags get into the environment, they

There is relatively dark shading in the third panel, creating a gloomy mood in the train carriage. The
biggest symbol in this scene however, is the swastika. The swastika is a symbol for the german Nazis,
as well as war. To the Jews however, the swastika is a symbol of fear, suppression and extermination.
In the scene, the third panel uses the swastika as a sign of the German Nazis, while it is used in
repetition when the stories of what was happening to the Jews as a background. The background is
pitch black, with a white circle and the swastika inside. The use of repetition is to emphasise the
demeaning of the Jews, and also functions like a growing moon, that is dawning over the Jews, but is
dominant everywhere. However, the swastika originally has vertical and horizontal lines, as a symbol
of peace, before it was tilted slightly to be used as a flag for the german Nazis. There is an irony that
in the third panel, the flag is folded to look like the original swastika, perhaps suggesting that there is
peace in the town because there aren t any

Eleven million people were killed during the Holocaust. To put that in perspective, imagine waking up
and all the people in New York and Chicago combined were killed. That is how many people had lost
their lives because of what they believed in and how they looked. Racism, hatred, and bigotry toward
the Jewish, gypsy, and others caused a genocide of innocent people. The ones who survived were left

Analysis Of The 3rd Council Of Orthodoxy
We see that each Ecumenical Council brings about different theological claims that would later shape
the idea of orthodoxy. What is important in relation to these theological claims in the councils is the
take away from each. They each bring a new idea, and tradition, into the next time period. While they
still continue to have multiple councils, we see the adapting and changing of each because of how the
Church s themselves operate. The councils bring forth lessons to be learned with regards to valuable
information that is put toward the idea and culture of orthodoxy. The 3rd Council in Ephesus focuses
on Cyril and Nestorius in relation to Theotokos (Cyril bearer of God) and Christotokos (Nestorius
Christ bearer). The 4th council in Chalcedon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cyril and Nestorius in the third council introduce the way that politics played into the councils and
how the outcome would influence orthodoxy. We see this by looking at how both Cyril and Nestorius
wrote to Pope Celestine, while only Cyril wrote in Latin, which made it easier for the Pope himself to
read more promptly, while Nestorius s was pushed to the side to later be translated. This was another
strike for Nestorius, and it did not help that he was seen as having a similar character to those who
believed in Pelagianism. This is where we note imperialism being woven into the making of
orthodoxy by the powerful bishops and leaders in Christianity by using the councils to enforce basic
structures. They would implement these through their bishops, and teachings based Christ s life, and
on the principles based out of successful councils. Bishops themselves became the hierarchy in
particular churches, and would soon lead to different adaptations based on individual Churches such
as papa and pharaohs (Acts of Council of Chalcedon, p.12). These same bishops and other sees would
later cause rivalry among various issues (Acts of Council of Chalcedon, p.16). In any hierarchy, we
see favoritism and personal views conflicting with the roles given. The late antiquity time frame was
no different in relation to personal views on subjects, individuals, and how those politics played into
the role of imperialism. This therefore played into the idea of favorites in the world of imperial politics
of this period. We see how this was intertwined within politics based upon the end conclusions of the
third and forth councils. Such decisions from these councils lead to hatred of either Cyril, or of
Nestorius. This lead to Antiochene bishops, who were not yet ready to follow Cyrillian Christology, to
therefore objected the teachings while sticking to their previous teachings from Nestorius

The Quantitative Article, Donaldson, Sue And Will Essay
The quantitative article Donaldson, Sue and Will Kymlicka. Unruly Beasts: Animal Citizens and the
Threat of Tyranny. Canadian Journal of Political Science 47 no.1 (2014): 23 45.
http://resolver.scholarsportal.info/resolve/00084239/v47i0001/23_ubacattot, pertains to domesticated
animal s having the right to be considered citizens. However, this article was written as a rebuttal to an
earlier journal article by Emma Planinc, ¬¬¬¬ Democracy, Despots and Wolves: On the Dangers of
Zoopolis s Animal Citizen . Unruly Beasts: Animal Citizens and the Threat of Tyranny provides the
reader with a main thesis, domesticated animals deserve the right to be citizens in the polis regardless
of tyranny, this is backed up by main ideas and supported by their arguments. Kymlicka s credentials
include, being a Professor of Philosophy and having a Canadian Research Chair in the Political
Philosophy field, having a B.A. in political studies and philosophy and his D.Phil. in philosophy.
Therefore, the article Unruly Beasts: Animal Citizens and the Threat of Tyranny is a reliable source to
consider when exploring the topic of animal citizenship. The article Unruly Beasts: Animal Citizens
and the Threat of Tyranny contains two main issues. One of these issues is that tyranny would have on
democracy because of animal citizenship and the second issue being, should domesticated animals (or
as referred to in the article Da s) have the right to citizenship. Throughout the article

Common Characteristics Of All Indian Cultures In The New...
1. What were the common characteristics of all Indian cultures in the New World, and what were the
important differences among them? Indian cultures shared many similarities, while also each being
unique. First off, all natives were not exposed to Old World animals, food, culture and germs. Which
would make their initial contact much more devastating. For example, they all inhabited the Americas,
however they spanned from the Andes of Peru to the Arctic of Northern Canada. These geographic
differences shaped how the cultures developed and made each of them unique. For example, the
mayans developed sophistic agricultural practices and developed robust sprawling cities and society
due to the cultivation of maize. Meanwhile, the tribes of the northeast where more hunter and gatherer
orientated and had smaller villages with some agriculture. These geographic differences separates all
Indian Cultures while, they all have similar origins.
2. What fundamental factors drew the Europeans to the exploration, conquest, and settlement of the
New World? A couple factors influenced exploration, conquest, and settlement of the New World. One
of these was the desire for cheap and abundant raw resources of the New World. These included Gold,
lumber, fur, tobacco and many other resources. The Europeans explored in order to find new lands to
colonize and extract resources from to send back to Europe. In addition, Europeans explored the New
World in order to find potential trade routes to

Relationship of Societal Institutions and the Concept of...
Pierre Bourdieu is a French sociologist who presents a focus on the relationship of societal institutions
and the concept of habitus. Habitus is simply the socially structured norms that influence individuals
in order to direct the ideas and behaviors that make them who they are. With this, habitus does not
allow individuals to possess complete freedom of their thoughts and perceptions. The individual s
expressions, judgments, thoughts, perceptions, and behaviors are all reflective of societal structures
such as, class, gender, politics, and education which are then reproduced by their actions. These
common practices and perceptions are formed by one s history and can be modified over time through
different lifestyles and unexpected conditions such as education, age, or becoming a parent. This
means that individuals will not have a habitus identical to another individual. Lastly, people s
everyday activities and tastes exist in relation to the people around them and that habitus is essential to
controlling aspects of individual s social lives (Johnson 2006). Bourdieu s concept of habitus is
evident through his articles, Distinction and Cultural Reproduction and Social Reproduction and can
also be demonstrated in Shamus Kahn s book, Privilege. Bourdieu s article, Distinction exemplifies
this idea of habitus and the effect of institutions on social and cultural patterns. He demonstrates how
these institutions instill a social order into people s thoughts and everyday

The Native Americans had a rich through history that allowed them to be almost as developed as the Europeans. However, the Europeans overlooked this because the Native Americans had not established the same man made medical and agricultural developments as the Europeans. Conversely, the Native Americans thought that the Europeans were too concerned with dead objects, and took their land for granted. There are many controversial debates over who was worse: the Native Americans or the Europeans, yet, it s evident that warfare, ritual torture, and cruelty were apparent in both societies. The Europeans had not known what the Native Americans had achieved, and the struggles they d overcome. The history of the Native Americans began in Siberia. Many scholars hypothesize that the first Americans came from Siberia and traveled into Alaska. The colder climate of the Ice Age made an ice bridge across what is now the Bering Strait. Unfortunately, the bridge started to melt without warning, causing the people in Alaska to become trapped. A group of Native Americans known as today s Navajo and Apache came to the rescue when their construction of boats advanced and allowed them to be durable enough to travel across the strait. Monteiro goes on to explain how the play does a lot of a thing called Founders chic as a representational strategy. She points out that the play tried to represent founders as relatable, cool guys. For example, the Founders chic strategy downplayed the involvement of the Founding Fathers in slavery. The play did mention how slavery existed, and how Alexander Hamilton was in opposition to it, but we had no idea on how his attitude was when he was a boy growing up in the Caribbean. Alexander Hamilton worked on slave ship, making the chances that he was one favorable to it a possibility. Miranda s point in contrast to that was to showcase the emotions rather than substance. He was trying to image Alexander Hamilton s life, and how abolition of slavery was a big part of shaping his life. In contrast to the idea of the play having inaccurate historical facts, Miranda tried to make the play relatable to the people to really showcase Alexander Hamilton s life. Miranda used the bootstraps narrative to help portray that. He talks about how Hamilton reminded him of his own father, Luis A. • 18. Odysseus And Amari And Epic Hero Journeys In The Odyssey... Every now and then we read different stories, but we see the same things. In the Odyssey and Copper Sun, the two main characters, Odysseus and Amari, shared the same qualities and Epic Hero journeys. They had many obstacles and tribulations, but they worked through them to make it to their destination. Odysseus and Amari have many similarities as well as differences. When an epic hero, like Amari and Odysseus, has the opportunity to face the unknown, or has a crisis, and has something to gain, this starts the beginning of their journey called The Call. During this period, the heroes go through things, in their eyes, that is unimaginable or wasn t expected. Odysseus s call was more voluntary and exciting than Amari s call because his Call was when he won the Trojan War and could return home after ten years. Amari s Call was when she and a few others from her tribe were captured and taken as slaves after her family was killed and her village destroyed. Odysseus had a choice but Amari did not. Before The Call , Amari and Odysseus characteristics affected and predestined their journey. Two epic hero qualities, Noble Birth and Cultural Legend, set up Amari and Odysseus path. Odysseus Noble Birth quality was that he was the son of Laertes, a hero, and his Cultural Legend was being a war hero and the King of Ithaca. Amari s Noble Birth quality was that her family was considered royalty because her father was an elder of her tribe, Ewe, he was a favored storyteller, and her family was skilled weavers. Her Cultural Legend couldn t be fulfilled because she was to inherit the family business of weaving. Although Amari didn t become a Cultural Legend, they both had purpose due to their family s high rank in their culture. The next stage in an epic hero s journey is The Threshold. This is where the hero takes off and meets helpers and mentors along the way. Odysseus threshold was when Zeus guards and guides him, blessing him or punishing him for his actions. Amari s Threshold was when she got on the slave ships to sail to America, meeting a mentor named Afi, who encourages her and helps her through their long journey across the seas. • 27. The Power Of Perceptions In Robert Frost s Poetry Discoveries can have a profound impact on an individual that can result in renewed perspectives of themselves and the world. The emotional responses conveyed in texts position individuals to re evaluate their perceptions of themselves and their world, which in turn provoke intellectual and spiritual discoveries and or in turn allow us to gain a shift in perspective. The discoveries embedded within Robert Frost s poems, Fire and Ice and A Tuft of Flowers , coupled with the poem Mirror by Sylvia Plath, explore the emotive power of the search for human connection and desire to find meaning in an impermanent universe. Frost s anecdotal poem Fire and Ice, challenges the perceptions of responders, positioning them to consider the significance of character and behaviour as defining forces in our world. Fire and ice metaphorically alludes to the power of human relationships and their ability to be potentially destructive. The rhyme of twice , ice and suffice have ominous overtones, suggesting that the failure of one force will only ensure the operation of another. The responder is challenged by the personification of the natural forces, fire and ice, in invoking the end of the world, as it creates a tangible sense of fear which is reinforced through the personas suggestion that either option can potentially suffice causing them to morbidly contemplate their options. The ultimate insignificance of man in the all powerful world is discovered through, but if I had to perish twice. Frost s personal reflection through the use of personal pronoun I adds a morbid tone by personalising death. Through his simplistically deceptive form, Frost creates a dichotomy, juxtaposing the paradoxical elements fire and ice which are symbolic of associated character traits, ice representing deliberation, whereas fire is connotated as desire and passion. Moreover, fire and ice represent the two sides of the human mind, ice as a metaphorical representation of rationality or intellect, and fire symbolic of emotion. Furthermore, Frost s change in tense from tasted to know suggests that his current familiarity of hate is the consequence of experiencing desire, thus he is exposed to the ability of the contradictory emotions ... The Importance Of Sustainable Tourism Sustainable tourism development merges environmental concerns with economic policy (Dresner, S. 2008: 69) and allows for tourism s products in the form of intangible services or the natural environment, to be environmentally cautious through a responsible trade off between production and use of assets. Some influences apparent are environmental, social, and economical and it is further important to emphasize that one or a combination of the aspects, with market cooperation, creates a sustainable agenda. Travel services are increasingly seen as less of a luxury good and more as an everyday purchase (Page, 2003:3) due to marketing becoming more prominent which means organisations must complete vigorous promotion strategies for long term viability. Marketing therefore has a highly important role, as Holloway (2004) explains marketing understands the needs and wants of customers, to what can be sold, to whom, when, where and in what quantities (Holloway J.C. 2004:7). Holloway (2004) writes that successful organisations anticipate demand recognising it, stimulating it and finally satisfying it (Holloway, J.C. 2004: 7). The considerable dominant part of charges, more than 90 percent in numerous purviews, are settled through some sort of supplication deal, called a plea bargain. The Seventh Amendment of the Bill of Rights systematized it as a basic piece of Americans freedoms. At the point when large amounts of criminals were gotten and charged, the legislature experienced a trial and decision. However, in the 1800s, a pattern toward supplication started. Prosecutors do not have the time to go through a broad trial for each case, regardless of whether it a winnable case for the prosecutor. • 32. Artificial Neural Network Advantages And Disadvantages ABSTRACT An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is an information processing paradigm that is inspired by the way biological nervous systems, such as the brain, process information [1]. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) also called neuro computing, or parallel distributed processing (PDP), provide an alternative approach to be applied to problems where the algorithmic and symbolic approaches are not well suited. The objective of the neural network is to transform the inputs into meaningful outputs. There are many researches which show that brain store information as pattern. Some of these patterns are very complicated and allows us to recognize from different angles. This paper gives a review of the artificial neural network and analyses the techniques in terms of performance. • 35. Causes And Consequences Of Global Warming The Global Issue Over the years, the increasing concern over how and where our planet is going to be in the next couple of decades, has been a significant debate to many. With the steady increase of fossil fuels being released into our atmosphere, and the high cost that our planet is having to pay in order to support and to sustain such an exponentially growing population, are we still surprised over the consequences? Connecting everyone from one side of the world to the other, Global Warming is a global problem that includes everybody regardless of where you live in the world or how much money you possess. It has also become a demanding task that requires the participation of every human being, since everyone can ultimately still decrease their carbon footprint on the world. Global warming is the observed overall statistical increase in the average temperature of the Earth s atmosphere and oceans over the years, (Miller, 2006). Being one of the most important issues facing the world today, this subject has become life or death for our planet. With the average temperature increasing dramatically every year, consequences such as the greenhouse effect, which is the outcome of large amounts of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by human civilizations, has largely impacted ecosystems ranging all the way from the ocean and marine life to even the most complex organisms, human beings. Acting as a positive feedback loop, a lot of the things that we do, whether it s opening up a refrigerator that contain CFC s or even just getting a plastic bag from a grocery store, are contributing to the weakening of our ozone layer, and to the steady increase of greenhouse gases being released into the air. Plastic is probably one of the most detrimental materials that has ever been manufactured. With the world now using approximately six hundred billion pounds of plastic, plastic has become the familiar cheap material that we all know and come across multiple times a day. What is important in relation to these theological claims in the councils is the take away from each. They each bring a new idea, and tradition, into the next time period. While they still continue to have multiple councils, we see the adapting and changing of each because of how the Church s themselves operate. The councils bring forth lessons to be learned with regards to valuable information that is put toward the idea and culture of orthodoxy. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cyril and Nestorius in the third council introduce the way that politics played into the councils and how the outcome would influence orthodoxy. We see this by looking at how both Cyril and Nestorius wrote to Pope Celestine, while only Cyril wrote in Latin, which made it easier for the Pope himself to read more promptly, while Nestorius s was pushed to the side to later be translated. This was another strike for Nestorius, and it did not help that he was seen as having a similar character to those who believed in Pelagianism. This is where we note imperialism being woven into the making of orthodoxy by the powerful bishops and leaders in Christianity by using the councils to enforce basic structures. They would implement these through their bishops, and teachings based Christ s life, and on the principles based out of successful councils. Bishops themselves became the hierarchy in particular churches, and would soon lead to different adaptations based on individual Churches such as papa and pharaohs (Acts of Council of Chalcedon, p.12). These same bishops and other sees would later cause rivalry among various issues (Acts of Council of Chalcedon, p.16). In any hierarchy, we see favoritism and personal views conflicting with the roles given. The late antiquity time frame was no different in relation to personal views on subjects, individuals, and how those politics played into the role of imperialism. This therefore played into the idea of favorites in the world of imperial politics of this period. We see how this was intertwined within politics based upon the end conclusions of the third and forth councils. Such decisions from these councils lead to hatred of either Cyril, or of Nestorius. • 43. Relationship of Societal Institutions and the Concept of... Pierre Bourdieu is a French sociologist who presents a focus on the relationship of societal institutions and the concept of habitus. Habitus is simply the socially structured norms that influence individuals in order to direct the ideas and behaviors that make them who they are. With this, habitus does not allow individuals to possess complete freedom of their thoughts and perceptions. The individual s expressions, judgments, thoughts, perceptions, and behaviors are all reflective of societal structures such as, class, gender, politics, and education which are then reproduced by their actions. These common practices and perceptions are formed by one s history and can be modified over time through different lifestyles and unexpected conditions such as education, age, or becoming a parent. This means that individuals will not have a habitus identical to another individual. Lastly, people s everyday activities and tastes exist in relation to the people around them and that habitus is essential to controlling aspects of individual s social lives (Johnson 2006). Bourdieu s concept of habitus is evident through his articles, Distinction and Cultural Reproduction and Social Reproduction and can also be demonstrated in Shamus Kahn s book, Privilege. Bourdieu s article, Distinction exemplifies this idea of habitus and the effect of institutions on social and cultural patterns. He demonstrates how these institutions instill a social order into people s thoughts and everyday ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
